Today’s discussion on the Miles of Smiles Events podcast, Deborah Colleen Rose, Luan Morris and Dr. Matthew Pierce spoke on the topic of forgiveness.

Not the type of forgiveness that comes from drama between friends, but forgiveness after one has had trauma associated.  Dr. Matthew relayed a personal story about his relationship with his mother and how he is struggling to heal and move past not being able to forgive.  This prompted a discussion of mental health and the issues surrounding forgiving people that have mental health challenges. Through the discourse, Deborah Colleen Rose postulated that maybe Matthew had not grieved at the losing of “the mom he used to know”and therefore that was standing in his path of achieving the forgiveness that he is seeking.  Luan added that grieving is a part of the forgiveness process especially when you are angry at the passing of a loved one.  Or if you are grieving the loss of a person with a terminal illness.  The discussion was emotional and heartfelt. The group concluded with with announcements of Dr. Matthew Pierce’s new adventure of creating an online academy for Metaphysics and Business.  Information that will be released later.  Luann Morris and Deborah Colleen Rose were invited to teach on the new platform.
