Uterine Ablation vs. Hysterectomy: Maya's Personal Journey

In this episode of WERTH The Listen Maya shares her painful and personal journey with years of heavy periods that ultimately resulted in two surgeries. First she underwent a uterine ablation and five years later had a full abdominal hysterectomy. She reveals all that she didn't know about ablations, how her doctor at the time didn't layout the risks and potential failure, nor what the other options were for her at the time. Fibroids wreaked havoc on her body and were the leading factor in having to undergo an abdominal hysterectomy.
