Speaker 1 (00:12):
What are you willing
to throw your life away on? With
Andrew Reed and The Liberation. It's a serious question, one
worth pondering. Am I living thelife I want, an intelligent
life, or something else? How canI have a better experience of
life?
These are some of the questionsexplored in this series of
(00:34):
messages without the brag andthe advertisement. Getting
beyond even human institutionsand society into the wilderness,
nature, the reality of how lifeactually operates on this
planet. These messages rangefrom intimate recordings from
the awakened forest to concerts, national conferences, and
(00:56):
broadcasts on a wide array ofphilosophical topics.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Here we are this
morning in the Awakened Forest,
in the perfection andsplendidness of nature at the
cabin. I'm gonna share somemessages of ideas that were
brought up to me when I gotinterested in advancing my life
(01:27):
that really helped metremendously. And again, this is
where the exposure to an idea orwhatever can change your life. A
vision for your life can changeyour life. You know, you're
addicted to something.
Well, you can lose thataddiction a lot of times just by
getting occupied with somedirection in your life. And so
(01:50):
the power of an idea just cannotbe underestimated. So here's a
message, again, the type ofmessage that helped me along the
way. Like, I I used to listen toNapoleon Hill messages, Earl
Nightingale, Alan Watts, ofcourse, all kinds, and David
(02:14):
Hawkins. You know, theseindividuals helped me a great
deal.
So what I'd like to talk abouttoday is really how to be
successful in this world. Andfirst of all, let's try to
define success. And to me, a lotof times we think about worldly
(02:37):
attainments, wealth, fame, popularity, whatever you want to
language it as, really. Let mesuggest, I guess in my view of
the world, as all is natural, all is part of nature, like
we're in here with the windslightly coming up right now. We
are on top of a mountain.
(03:00):
And that perhaps most of us justright out of the gate, are
already successful in the factthat we're live, that we're
experiencing the sensations oflife, and we're in some way
fulfilling our part, whetherwe're happy, depressed, whether
we're exhausted, whether we'refull of energy, and that we're
(03:22):
doing our part just in thatoscillation of the up and down
of the world. So success itself,I think, really can almost be
defined, if I was gonna getright to the point, is just
being you. Again, when weconsider nature, the vast
(03:42):
variety of colors, that it'sinfinite, that no two things are
alike. No two snowflakes, no twoparticles of dust are identical.
So therefore, nature lovesvariety.
And I think this creates greatexcitement that all things are,
(04:05):
again, this multi view. Youknow, each thing in its
particular position in theuniverse, which, of course,
inherently has to have a uniqueperspective just from where it's
located. Okay? Boy, I just Ilost half of the audience right
there, but that's okay. So evensuccess, what what is it?
(04:29):
And really, right now, I'm gonnatalk probably about worldly
success, pretty much. Certainly,it's more than money or status.
Although society and our peergroups hypnotize us as to what,
again, success is supposed tobe. And, again, advertising.
Advertising, its whole goal isto make us feel inadequate
(04:51):
through pointing out our lack orwhat we should have and all with
what the end goal to get us tobuy things.
But, really, success is aninterstate of, I I would say,
even satisfaction orcompleteness. It's you might
even stylize it as it's a selfassessed state of mind or being.
(05:17):
Now now I'm gonna just sharereally four points, here.
There's certainly probablythings that need to be added. I
always like to leave a gap inthere for the unknown because,
again, we're just this beingwith five senses to interpret
the world, possibly six if westretch it.
(05:38):
And so, here are basically myfour points of how to be
successful in this world. AndI'll just list them out first.
Move in a direction that givesyou energy. You know, energy is
life. Life is pulsation.
It is this oscillation of up anddown. And for anything to really
(05:58):
happen, there has to be someenergy behind it. And it's
really nobody likes to dosomething that turns them off or
or whatever. It's much morepreferable or I'll say
intelligent to go in a directionthat actually gives you life
because it provides what?Natural motivation.
(06:21):
The second point is that offocus. You know, focus on that
direction and spend five yearsor more learning everything
about it. And I mean everything. So if your heart is in making
fine cabinets out of wood, let'ssay, oak, whatever pine, become
the very best at it. Learnexactly what are the perfect
(06:43):
screws.
How do you put those in? How doyou lay the wood? How do you
prepare the wood? You learneverything about that topic that
gives you energy. And when Iheard this, I think I heard it
from Earl Nightingale.
It changed my life. You know, Igot into the post acute world of
(07:03):
hospice and all that, of course,in finance and all that. And I
just threw myself into it. And Iremember him saying that if you
do this for five years, you'llfind yourself in the top 5% of
that field. And by golly, that'swhat happened for me.
(07:24):
And I can't help but thatsuccess pattern would apply to
other people as well. The thirdpoint is to develop the ability
to sell or to teach or as welanguage it in the multi view
world now, empower. Because youhave to sell whatever you're
doing, your product or serviceor skill to others, at least in
(07:48):
a business context or a teachingcontext, you might say. And
otherwise you have no business, you have no customers. And so
developing this ability to sell, this ability to communicate
value is paramount.
And I like to think of selling, really when you get down to it,
(08:11):
as teaching or empowerment. Sothis obviously involves the
ability to communicate, usuallyverbally, but also, you know,
through your actions, all kindsof different ways of doing it.
But this ability to, again, communicate value is probably
(08:33):
the keyword. That just has to bethere. Otherwise, you're just
sitting in your cabin and notimpacting the world if that's
your intent, at least from abusiness or an organizational
context, or if you're anentertainer or whatever.
The fourth point is to hitchyour wagon to winners. If you're
(08:54):
going to do anything on anyscale, you're going to need the
help of others. Right? Becauseyou just normally cannot do it
all. So, you know, you want tohitch your wagon or your life to
the most intelligent, the mostintegris, those that are full of
energy and capability.
And humans can really usuallydetect a lot of these
(09:17):
characteristics, you know, fairly quickly. Hey, this
person, I like to be aroundthem. They have a great
vibration. They have a greatfeel. They're smart.
The integrity things sometimescan be a little more difficult
to detect. Is this person aliar? Are they gonna lead us to
(09:38):
waste or a devastation orwhatever? So that that track
record is good to study people alittle bit. But once you find
these winner people, I foundthat in building all kinds of
organizations or groups, whetherit's in the arts or different
endeavors is, again, you have tohave these capable people and,
(10:02):
you know, where they align withthe common cause, the common
vision, and bringing theirunique talents or gifts or
intelligence really to the groupenterprise.
And you don't want a bunch ofclones. You want people that
work in harmony, but yet again, each of them is a multi view. So
(10:24):
they're gonna have, again, theirunique take or perspective that
adds to the overall good, youknow, again, to the smart people
that are able to willing arewilling to to listen and go in
and say, hey, that's the bestidea. You know? And in the multi
view culture, best ideas alwayswin.
(10:45):
And we'll just stop at the dropof a hat if somebody has a
better idea. Boy, that's betterthan what we have now. And we
just drop what we're doing andwe go in that direction. So
there we have it. There are fourmoves or steps that people can
take to have some success inthis world.
(11:05):
Again, I'll go over them onemore time. Move in a direction
that gives you energy. Two,focus on that direction that
gives you energy and spend fiveor more years learning
everything about it. Then pointthree, develop the ability to
sell, teach, or empower others.Four, hitch your wagon to
(11:28):
winners because you're gonnaneed the help of others to do
anything on any scale.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Thank you for
listening. If you need anything
further, just go to mbi.life.
