Channel 3 is the future. Welcome crew to one of your 3A

(00:31):
Channel 3 podcast where we take a member of the Channel 3
community, discuss three games of their choosing, go through
some honorable mentions and someother odds and ends for a nice
little video game discussion. I'm Dan with me as always, Ray.
What's going on, people? We've got a fellow, fellow
teacher tonight right here. It's tech.
It's tech Nish, everybody. Yes, Tech Nish AKA my name's

(00:54):
Jean from. I have a channel called Capsoft
Gaming, so I do a lot of sharingalong along with my students.
My students have access to my page too, so my page is very PG.
At least I'm PG, sometimes the content isn't as in the games

(01:15):
I'm playing, but that's. Why?
I've got a healthy sensor buttonready to go as needed.
Yeah, but I teach high school though, so my kids are, they're
at least like like 17 and and and up.
So, you know, it's, it's, it's cool.
Plus, you know, it's the things a lot different now.
The times are different, you know what I'm saying?

(01:37):
I've been part of the Channel 3 network for I think couple of
months now, probably close to close to a coming up to a year,
probably not a couple of months, couple months.
Couple months in there. Yeah, I'll tell you.
Yeah. Couple months in there, really.
I love the community. There's just it's just all love
all gaming. I love, I love seeing, yeah,

(02:01):
yeah, I love seeing the just what people are playing, how
they're rating games and everything like that.
Actually, I'm going to say like the three, the the Channel 3
Network got me to play a particular game a lot.
I'm been obsessing over it, but I'll talk about that.
Oh oh. OK, OK, we'll get to yeah, I've
I've got that one on my list foryou to get to them.

(02:24):
I know. I already know which game this
is, so it's all good. It's it's the devil that that's
caps with 2P. By the way, for the caps off
gaming don't caps. Yeah, Caps.
You may not you may not have heard his caps he he dropped the
extra P when he enunciated it. But I didn't want that to not
come across in the audio, so oh.Thanks man.
Yeah, definitely caps caps off gaming 2 PS and they're all one

(02:48):
word. I stream on I stream on
Saturdays regularly at 10, like Saturday morning cartoon stuff,
and I try to drop like a video aweek and then if it's not and
and also like a real I like reels.
Reels are funny, so they usuallyhelp promote whatever I'm I'm
posting that week and yeah, yo like and you.

(03:11):
You actually came up a couple weeks ago during we had an
episode with Castor Garden, because you were My Vicarious
living of South of Midnight, because he had he had that game
and the music specifically he was we we were chatting about
with that game was like, no, I haven't played it, but I watched
your play through from the beginning of of that.
You. Helped me.

(03:32):
You helped me with that one because.
Oh, yeah. Oh, South of Midnight, man.
Yeah. And I'm right at the end.
I'm right at the end of that game.
Almost there. Yeah, yeah, I'm, I'm trying to,
I'm figuring something grand to finish the game off with and
everything to be able to share with everybody too, as well.
But that's such a beautiful game.

(03:53):
Not only the music, but like thestorytelling in it.
Like real Louisiana, like down South, like folklore and
everything like that. Like I like, I love, I love
games that introduce stuff. And you're like, I'm going to
Google that to see if that's real because it sounds so real,

(04:15):
you know what I mean? So yeah, beautiful game, man.
I'm talking about that you. Know well that was and that was
I'll move on to the actual gameswe were talking about.
But The funny thing we were talking about with that too, is
like the combat seemed like it was the afterthought, like the
things you said there, like noneof them mentioned the combat
because like, I feel like that it was, it was story forward and
like picture forward and like all of that stuff for which was

(04:36):
is fine. And like we got to put some
combat in here like you like, maybe did, maybe did, I don't
know. But like, yeah, it's like the
combat's there. Everything else was like, it
looked really awesome. It's just the combat's like, OK,
let's go, let's go beat some things up.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that that's one
thing. Yeah.
It's not like super rich combat system or nothing like that.

(04:57):
It's it's basically it's bare bones, but everything
aforementioned, the story, the setting, everything, all that is
was was beautiful. So if you ever get a chance,
y'all, please get a please, please try it out man it's.
Really good y'all. It'll be on PS-5 before we know
it because that is also an Xbox so.
Oh yeah. Oh yeah.

(05:18):
Everything's Xbox. Well, let's well.
Let's well, yes, hell, hell, divers make its way over to to
Xbox. That's the that's the weirder
part. Of the.
Wall No, it's going the other way now that's like they threw a
bone but. Anyway, all right.
We're here to talk. We're here to talk combat
forward game. In this case, because you had

(05:41):
prior to recording, we had noticed some things in your in
your background there, includingif you flashed some Ernie Hudson
merch up there, some Ghostbusters paraphernalia for
the the audio listener. There's got some Ghostbusters up
there, but you want to talk Ghostbusters the video game and
you specifically call it the remastered part.
So you wanted the not the OG even like a few years later they

(06:02):
released it for the the next generation of systems.
It was like APS 3, but they no, they they upgraded, they touched
it up because it was at the probably at the end of the PS3
era. Yeah, but but this was like
Ghostbusters 3 before Jason Reitman came along and made a
sequel. This was no, they had Aykroyd
Ramis was still around, but theyhad they they brought all four

(06:23):
out there. Andy Potts was running around.
I think Sigourney's the only onenot not in this one.
She got she got tapped out for Alyssa Milano filling.
In the. Filling in the female role for
this one. But but you brought.
You brought. Ghostbusters yeah, Ghostbusters
is, is one of my and I picked the remastered one because I
think that's the one that's moreaccessible, even though I think,

(06:47):
umm, the, the, the at the, at the Xbox 360 version is
backwards compatible to, to the series.
I think, I don't quote me on this, but I picked the rematch
one because I feel like if you haven't played the game, you
haven't. There was a Ghostbusters game
after that, which was like a first person, like multiplayer,

(07:09):
yeah. It's like, it's like Dead by
Daylight, but they put Ghostbusters in it basically.
But they put Ghostbusters, Yeah,exactly.
So I wanted to be really specific about it because just
like you said, like it's basically unofficially
Ghostbusters 3. That's what I look at it as
because it follows, it follows right after, you know, the, the

(07:31):
job in New York, after they've done, you know, the two jobs in
New York. After the after the after the
Vigo and the the pink slime, theStatue of Liberty, it's.
The other couple there it. Was like, it opens up with like
five years later again or something like that, Like they
did with the Ghostbusters 2. They did it.
They jumped another five years, yeah.
It's beautiful, man. And it's just it's in the the

(07:52):
writing in the game is is on point because it is how Ryan
rims and and and Dan Aykroyd, but all of them, they they
contributed until into writing this script, this lovely script.
And then you feel like a Ghostbuster in that game, like
100% like a Ghostbuster. And not only that, but like you

(08:16):
get to use other like ghostbusting equipment.
I think my favorite one besides the proton pack, that's just
classic. My favorite one has to be the IT
was like the shock cannon. It's like a like the.
I call it the ghost. Shoddy, like the the.
Just fire. It's, it's, it's like a shock.
It just fires a blast. Yeah, fighters black ghost

(08:39):
shoddy, yo. And then it's it's some
secondary, the secondary weapon or whatever ability was they
could freeze certain ghosts in place and then you would just
hit him with the ghost shoddy and like shatter them and
everything like that. Like that game was amazing, yo.
I love that game. And then you got to play it.
I mean, yeah, you want to play it on normal to get your feet

(09:02):
wet, but I say as soon as you like really understand how to
play, put it on professional because because you the
challenges there and like like the ghosts fight a lot, a lot
more to get them down to the traps and everything like that.
Like, you know, it's it's amazing.
You're like, and it's and I lookat Ghostbusters Remastered as

(09:23):
almost like a redemption for theGhostbusters games.
There was very few Ghostbusters games before that that were
actually good. Like I could say the.
Genesis. What good one was there before
that? Those the Genesis 1 was good.
The one on Genesis was good. Did you remember that?
The Genesis 1? Yeah, I thought.

(09:45):
That was probably when I saw like a game pro and I wanted as
a kid but never got them. You.
Just got my attention. When you said put it on hard
mode, I was like, yeah, OK, now someone's speaking.
Now someone's speaking my. Language yeah let me let me see
now before I forget like go put this on wish list cuz it is
still available everywhere like it's it's got a good port on the
switch even like for the switch 1 they did a good they did a

(10:07):
good version of it on there evenbut it's on steam it's on
everything now yeah put on wish list get it on sale for 5 bucks
or whatever. Yeah, good.
It's mad cheap and everything like that, but it is definitely
the game. That's definitely the game, you
know, like the if you want to feel like a Ghostbuster, that's
the one. And with the original characters

(10:28):
and everything like that, like that's the game.
Like that's one of my favorite show, so.
It's funny too because like you said, you know Akrid and Ramos
helped to or at least they they wrote the script for it
basically. And they even dragged Bill
Murray out for it who at that point in time was like I will
never unless they kill me in the1st 5 minutes of not doing
another Ghostbusters movie. And the funniest part like you

(10:51):
play a new recruit so you just have Bill Murray making fun of
you in the background the entiretime.
And like all this stuff like Technis mentioned, like the the
the shoddy, like they're giving you all this new experimental
technical members, like let let the rookie handle it in case
something goes wrong. And that's kind of like the
running joke through the thing of like, yeah, and and just like

(11:11):
Bill Murray making funny, like, yeah, let the kid take it or let
the rookie take it or whatever it is.
That was snarky comments. And you're like.
Oh yeah, minimum egons, like, you know, you know, minimal
tissue damage, like like don't worry, but don't worry about it,
Ricky. So yeah, man.

(11:31):
And Oh yeah, when you do beat and then when you do beat it on
professional, I believe they they with the remaster version,
they'll unlock the, the, the Ghostbusters 2 flight suit, the
black one, and then also you geta golden proton pack.
There's a new game. It's got a new game plus two, I

(11:53):
think, doesn't it? Like.
I don't I don't think it has a new game plus.
I mean, it's just cool. You have it unlocked like it
yeah, You know, so if you do do playing it somebody like, yeah,
you know, like I've I've this game, dude, I I own this game
now. Like stayed up and down.
There there's a fun balance in it too of like, OK, they've got

(12:14):
some new spots to go to, like some graveyard and some things
like that. But they've also got like the
library in the hotel from the original movie.
So you get that like they recreated in the game.
You get this like I'm in the movie vibe from that too at the
same time. So you get, you get to, for
those of us of a certain age, we're really reliving childhoods

(12:35):
with Ghostbusters, the Grey Lady, the Grey Lady, like, like.
You have you have this like classic enemies in there, like
the great lady from the library you end up at you end up
fighting her at the like the endof the library stage, right in
the beginning. C puff fight stage.

(12:58):
You fight stay puff again and everything like that.
Like it's great. And then like when you go into
like the goat. Oh yeah.
And then you go to, you go to what you call it Evor Shandor.
It's like island, it rises out of the Hudson or something like
that. So then you get to explore like
the, the background information about Evor Shandor and like his,

(13:20):
his, his, his radical cults and what happened and everything
like that. So.
Yeah, the names mentioned in thebackground of the movie, that's
like, no, we're going to we get to flesh this out a little bit
more now. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's why it is. I feel like it is the unofficial
like Ghostbusters 3 because of all of the callbacks to to the
first two Ghostbusters. You know, even you you get like

(13:42):
one of your weapons that that that your proton pack has you
got a slime blower. You got a slime blower just like
in Ghostbusters 2B. Yes.
Yeah. Yo what?
Even like they kind of left it as far as I'm concerned with the
two newer movies. It's canonical still.
Like it's still, it still works in there.
And then the Chandler stuff comes back because I did the

(14:04):
DiCaprio pointing thing too manytimes in the first whatever the
whatever. The first one of the the Reitman
reboot, the the Jason Reitman reboot era ones where I was
like, oh, look at it like that. That still works for the game.
The game is Canon. The game is Canon.
That's right, yo, that's I need to go back and look at afterlife

(14:26):
and such and then. That's that's right.
That's what it was called. Even for his empire wasn't
terrible. Like there were some weird stuff
in it, but it's still not like, give me more, give me, give me
ghosts, give me all the Ghostbusters.
I'll take it all. Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm with
you. I gotta do that.
Then that's a good idea. I need to watch afterlife and
see if see see more connections with one and two, but then also

(14:50):
with the with the game as well the the I I.
Feel like there's a lot of the game because the Chandor stuff
is in there. That's what like.
I'm like, oh, this is the game like.
That's why I was like, no, there's a lot of this.
I can't remember if JK Simmons was the voice or not, but like
they had him in the movie. Like I, I think he was in the
game. I feel like he was somewhere in
there. I don't know, maybe not like JK
Simmons is everywhere though, soit's all good.

(15:11):
That's a popular guy right there.
Well, Speaking of Speaking of, hopefully this one's not
reliving childhood memories for you, because if it is, I've got
concerns. But your second game we're we're
moving into Fallout 3. My my.
Excellent transition day. It was.
It was a. Special one.

(15:31):
I want to commend you on that one.
It was not in the notes. Ray gets to see if I've got that
in the notes, like if I've got apre written bid.
I didn't. I did not have one here.
That that that's a good connection.
So so so how do we go from Ghostbusters now we're into
Fallout 3? Stock tosses.
So I put Fallout 3 as as anotherone of my favorite games because

(15:54):
secretly Fallout 3 helped me buymy house and.
All right, I need context for this right I'm.
Saying you're right, there are real life memories.
Now you did not buy your you didnot buy your house for soda
bottle caps. I'm pretty.
Convinced. If not, yeah, you didn't use
caps, you know, but Oh yeah, it but but that's another
inspiration behind the name of my channel capsule on gaming

(16:18):
because of bottle caps caps in the in the game.
But yeah, so I had to save up. So I bought my house in 2011,
but before that I had to, I had a problem.
I just like, I like to go out a lot, like every like like go
clubbing that happens Friday, Friday, sometimes Thursday,

(16:39):
Friday, Saturday. And I wasn't saving any money.
And then I ended up having a, a financial advisor And what she
did was she was like, all right, like, like I know you like to
play video games a lot too as well.
So you need to do, you need to figure out a way to go out at

(16:59):
least only one time during the weekend and you need to find
something to occupy yourself, like get you find a game or
something like that to do that. And I was like, I don't even
know, like, like at that time I was playing like COD, like
Modern Warfare 2, like. They're good for like 2 weeks
and then you throw them in the. Yeah, yeah.

(17:19):
Like I I was going through gameslike whatever.
I need 100 hour RPG. Let's go.
Yeah, so, so I went. So I remember seeing the
commercial for Fallout 3 on TV and it, it it didn't make any
sense, right. So then I go into GameStop and
this guy is I'm like, I need a game, something that's going to

(17:40):
keep me in in the house. Like what do you got?
He's like, oh, I got the I got the game from you.
I got you, Sir. Yes, I got you.
And I was like, what? He's like fall out.
And I was like fall through. I was like, what is this?
And he's like, he is like, do you do you play like card and
stuff? Like, yeah, I play card.
I didn't much plays cards though.
So it's a first person shooter, but it's a role-playing game.

(18:04):
It's like you like role-playing games.
Like, yeah, I mean, I play FinalFantasy 7 a bunch of times and
like, you know, like little stuff like that.
Gradia and everything. I was like, yeah.
So it combines the both and he explains it to me a little bit.
And he's like, yeah, it's like, you know, post war nuclear,
like, you know, of all you got to find, you got to find.

(18:26):
Liam Neeson's your daddy. That's all you.
Have to say, that's all you haveto say.
You're going to be. Worried of the rest of this
conversation? You just said that you.
Didn't say that. So you know Liam Neeson.
He's just like you got differentguns.
Pre taking Liam Neeson's your daddy.
That's all you need to know, yeah.
Should have said that I should have led with that, but Nah, he
was just like, so I I buy the game, right?
And then I go to my part, my studio at that time, and then I

(18:50):
plug it in and like, you know, you, I'm starting it off and
it's just playing slow like in the beginning, right?
So it's just playing. So, so then you know, I put it
down. Why do I have to go to a class?
Why do I have to take a standardized test?
Like that's literally how this game opens up.
It opens up with you in the vault.
You're bored, you watch yourselfcome out of the birth canal,

(19:11):
then you a few years flash by. You have to attend school, You
have to build the school bully. Then you have to, then you have
to take your your owls or your standardized test.
And like why am I doing this? Yo, it was so boring and I was
just like, I'm not playing this,I'm going out.
So I ended up going out anyways, right?
So then the net, it was, I thinkit was like a Fri, Friday and I

(19:34):
was like, I'm going out anyways.Saturday I was supposed to go
out and I didn't end up going out that night.
And then I just started sitting down and started playing it.
And then I think like I must have played that thing for like
4 or five hours. I had no idea what time it was,
like, at all. Like I had no idea.

(19:54):
And I know I was hooked because, you know, I got out of the vault
and then I had to go to what waslike Spring Vale, like the, the.
Elementary school is right by there and they go to, you're on
the way to Megaton, Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
So then I make it to the, I makeit to the, to the elementary
school, and I'm kind of like plodding through and I mad.

(20:16):
Max movie all of a sudden yeah, let's.
Go. I was like, this is crazy.
Then when we got to Megaton and then there was like a unexploded
nuclear bomb that's there. So they didn't give you the
option of like blowing it up or not.
I was like, this is insane. Like I didn't blow it up though.
I didn't. I did not do that.

(20:37):
I'm with you, sorry if you're cynic.
I'll kill Megas every time in Chrono Trigger, but I will save
Megaton, yeah. Yeah, I didn't blow it up.
And then ended up, yeah, like, like it was, it was crazy.
And I didn't know they actually gave me the option of doing
that. And then this was like early in

(20:58):
the years of YouTube and stuff, and I was like, oh God, YouTube.
Was only like 3 years old with this game first.
Yeah, 3. Years old, yeah.
So like I was like, should I look it up?
Like now I'm not going to do that.
I'm not going to ruin myself. And ever since that Saturday
that I spent like 4 hours playing the game, like I
couldn't stop. Like I would find excuses not to

(21:21):
go out like dudes who like was worried about me.
Sometimes though, like like yo like yo, you're going to go hit
the club blah blah, everything that was like no, I'm alright,
yo, like that's that's OK. Or I'll my famous move would be
like the Irish goodbye. Like, you know.
What I'm saying, I'm a master. Yep, Yep, Yep.

(21:42):
I was just seeing it so like that I think I left the stove
on. I got to go right now, like I'm
out of here and I would just play that.
I'll constantly, constantly like, Oh my goodness, man.
Like the and then like the experiences.
I feel like every everybody thatplayed a Fallout game, whether
it was Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4, everyone has their

(22:05):
own experience playing it. So like I'm talking to other
fallout players and ask them like, what do they do?
Like it's such and such like I remember my like, I gotta say
this story. So I remember I was playing and
then I, I went to the places place called Town of Dave,
right, the town of Dave. And then there was a guy that
was so I'm going into the town and I'm just like, you know,

(22:28):
talking to people. Yeah, Dave's a great person,
blah, blah, blah. But Oh yeah, I want to meet this
guy. Dave sounds pretty cool.
I go, I go see Dave. Dave's a like, like a big, he's
a so I'm looking behind his deskand he has a bobble head up
there and I'm like, oh, OK, you know what, Dave, I'm taking that

(22:49):
Bob head. So I walk out and I just strap
up with every type of ordinance I had on me right of quick,
quick, the quick select everything go in.
Dave's gone. All right, take the Bob head and
pretty much I shoot my way out of out of the town of Dave.
Yo, right. And I'm like, all right, I'm
good. And I saved and then I came back

(23:09):
another couple of days later, like, you know, in, you know,
real lifetime and then play it, play it again.
And then I was like, you know what, I need to go back to the
town of Dave. I need to go pick through those
bodies and see, see if I can get, like, more ammo and stuff
like that. But then when I get to the gate
is a kid there and he's like, yeah, you know, when I'm
foraging for berries and stuff like that, you know, like my,

(23:33):
you know, like my father Dave. And I was like, oh, snap dog.
I pretty much killed his father and anybody that was related to
him in that town. And then the game gave me the
that's. That's very full.
Yeah, yeah. That's so far.
So then the game saw says that either I could bring him
somewhere else to like slavers or bring him to Little Light,

(23:57):
that town where the kids, that the kids are just running it
this like big light and little light.
Yeah, through that town. So I brought the kid to the the
little light and left them there.
Yo. But I'm telling you, like when I
found out the kid was Dave's, that was Dave's kid.
Like I put the controller down for like and then sat there for
like 10 minutes like like I, I can't believe.

(24:19):
That I think your dad's eyeballsstill on my shoulder for it.
I remember his explosion very well.
This is. Oh yeah, the bloody perk, I had
the I had the bloody perk, the bloody mess perk on it was bad.
Like, Oh my gosh. Yo.
So yeah, man, I, I can't, I don't, I don't know any other
game really. And like New Vegas was was all

(24:40):
right, but I think Fallout 3 is just a lot more.
I'm with you, but the cultists of New Vegas are not going to be
happy hearing that. Yeah, I know, I know.
But hey man, see, it's his own man.
I like what I like so. Hey, I have to shout out the
Bloody Mess perk for context foreverybody.
Like, yeah, whenever you level up, you get to pick like a perk

(25:01):
for bonuses and things like that.
One of them is called Bloody Mess, which basically, like if
you go up and punch somebody in the chest, there's like a 75%
chance they're just going to explode and just viscera and
body parts all over the place. And that point would you like,
go to their eyeball on the ground?
Like search their eyeball for like, I found a 9mm.
Now, thanks to yeah, he's have to find the scrap of somebody

(25:25):
you detonated with a nuclear bomb.
Like I found a pee. I got a baseball bat.
Yay. Got a little little piece of
spleen, man. I'm going to pull out a rocket
launcher out of that so. You didn't do any Elder Scrolls
before that because like this, this became like The Elder
Scrolls. They Bethesda took over fallout.
They they took The Elder Scrollsand put it in like that engine

(25:47):
kind of thing. They did And and like you got
that experience like no, no isometric fallouts before that,
no Elder Scrolls before. I was the same boat.
I hadn't played. I hadn't played that either
before. Yeah, I never played anything
Fallout really, or like, nothing.
So until Fallout 3 and yeah, yeah.
And I don't play. I didn't play Elder Scrolls.
I tried Skyrim all right, There's a big fan base for

(26:10):
Skyrim, but I just can't deal with the with the Old English
like talk and stuff. Get your Nordic.
Talk out of my game. Yeah, that stuff, I just, it's,
it's it's distracting, that's what.
Yeah, it's it's fine with, it's fine with just magic fallout,
that's all. Yeah, but like, you know, but

(26:30):
but Fallout 3 amazing, like it'samazing.
Like I I can go and start start a new game right now and I want
to go to sleep until tomorrow morning my.
My wife called her being a Fallout widow.
By the time Fallout 4 came out, she's like, there was a, there
was a community, a support groupfor her and other, other spouses

(26:51):
and such that like, I was like, Oh my God, where'd that term
come from? Fun fact, my fiance now when I
could. We've been friends for a long
time and I remember when Fallout4 came out, she actually came
because I was doing a marathon playing it, and she actually
came and hang out, hung out withme like all night as I was

(27:12):
playing like Fallout for like, Idon't know, like 8 hours
straight. That's a little fat awful. 8
hours straight. You know what I'm saying?
At that point, I should have known I was going to marry her,
right? But I just say that's.
Yeah, you got to lock that down. That's yeah.
No, it's locked down now, you know.
Any other favorite boons or bonuses you mentioned that the

(27:32):
Bloody mess perk was? Certainly.
Bloody mess perk was was amazingand then the other one was the
strange. It's like the strange things in
the wasteland. Like I picked that part too.
Makes the weirder jokes and stuff.
Yeah, the weirder jokes and you just find like weird stuff out
there and everything. So I'm, I'm trying to think

(27:54):
like, what's the weirdest thing out there?
Oh, I like the and then, yeah, Ilike that one.
And then I like the the mysterious stranger.
Yeah, Oh yeah. Mysterious stranger.
Your luck. Your luck ends up having
somebody appear out of the corner in a trench coat and
like, shoot the shoot the bad guys for you.
It's wonderful. Yeah, yeah.
Well let's say he has like a 44 Magnum and like see one shots

(28:16):
everybody. I can't remember the weird
wasteland stuff in Fallout 3. The only one I remember is in
New Vegas, When you walk into a town and you look at two of the
charred corpses and it says it'sUncle Owen and Aunt Beru.
And they what? Yeah, they do.
They drop a Star Wars reference on you.
And that's what I'll be that it's it's Luke's aunt and uncle

(28:38):
in the town. And it's like in a weird
wasteland. Notice pops up for.
That's the only one of those things I remember.
That is fire. Do you you know where in New
Vegas? Like I I don't remember.
I'm sure you Google it easily enough.
I don't. But it was just like.
Because everything's just like some town you wander into.
It's like isolated and, and desolate.
I have to find it because I, I, I, I was playing New Vegas again

(29:00):
on my Rogue handheld to get target destinations for New
Vegas in Fallout 3. But I got to.
I have to find it and just go get that as a screenshot.
That is amazing. I want to, excuse me, I want to
find out about that. Yeah, that was that was that's
an easy Google for that one. Wow.

(29:21):
I remember they did a lot more of that new veg like the
Obsidian went for a lot more of the humor, which you can see
when they do like Outer Worlds and stuff.
But like they, they went for a lot more of the and the, the
original Fallouts apparently hada lot more of like the dark
humor stuff that so they, they went, they weren't for more of
that. But anyway, anyway, especially
the last thing I'm going to ask just special priorities,

(29:41):
especially your stats for anybody who doesn't know what
fallouts, your strength, perception, endurance, charisma,
intelligence, agility and luck. So much like your your D&D stats
or any other art role-playing game stats like you.
One of the introductions is yourbaby book that you determine
your your stats and and they they hold it against you too.
Like so your strength is how much you can carry your

(30:03):
intelligence. You sound like a moron when
you're trying to talk to somebody about science and like
like, so that megaton bomb, you need to have like science skills
for it. Otherwise ago, like, oh, what do
you think about the bomb? Like bomb go boom or something
like that is like your text response you can give.
If you don't have enough intelligence, you can be a real
moron in the game. But anyway, you have to bounce

(30:24):
that stuff out. It's like, what was your
priority for special though? Definitely strength, like that
was my thing. I saw the so I would say
strength, I would say intelligence and then also let
me see strength, intelligence and then special.

(30:47):
Then I would do agility 'cause Ithink agility affected your
criticals. Yeah, and your, your vats your.
VATS score would get impacted. By that one too.
How much you could do there? That was big.
Yeah. So I would go strength, I would
go intelligence and then I wouldgo agility.
But then I'd still put a little bit in luck.

(31:09):
Special perception. I always put something in
perception. You don't even sneak up on you
that. Charisma.
Charisma was one I only put, I, I, I either put one point or no
points at all. And then eventually, yeah,
eventually I would kind of whatever I needed to do to bring
it up. Had to get that one charisma
point at some point, yeah, yeah.Yeah, I would just do that and

(31:32):
then that would be good because like I like I'm in real life.
I'm kind of really straightforward anyways, to the
point where. Like I'm too blunt for my
charisma score to be any higher than two.
We're going to play my real lifebuild.
Yeah, I'm going to real life my.Agility is minimal.
My luck is a little higher than it should be.
My intelligence is helpful. And yeah, we'll go ahead.
My charisma is negative. Let's do it's.

(31:54):
Negative. Like, yeah, man, I don't, I
don't like small talk. That's charisma and everything.
But yeah, man, and then if and then then you have a nut.
Remember you have another set ofabilities that you get to put
think they give you like your. Skill, your skill points for

(32:14):
like guns and a big guns, electronics, all the science
that you don't, all that stuff, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. So I would concentrate on like
guns, like I was trying to play on guns.
I would concentrate on explosives, I would concentrate
on medics. And then also I would do what it

(32:35):
was just like, like anything with the computers, like I'd put
stuff into the yeah. Hacking and the lock picking
computers and lock picking were needed to be a lot through the
game, yeah. Yeah, yeah, you really need to
do that, you know, and I love that that mini that mini game of
hacking with the with the computers and kind of trying to
figure out like the the word andeverything like that.

(32:56):
I get I'm pretty good at it. Like I'm pretty good at it and I
would always love to do that. And then?
Yeah, I think it was like 80 hours in before I found out how
to like, accidentally like how to click on the random digits to
get rid of stuff and reset your chances.
And I'm like, I've been playing this like a psycho, like really
working through this like a puzzle.
And I could have just like, I never backed on the screens and

(33:18):
never, I never, you can do that. And accidentally I hit a button
once, I'm like, wait, what do you mean I reset?
Oh, my God, Why? I've been playing this on hard
mode for no reason. Yeah, yo, I'm the same way.
I didn't know how to hack until like, you know, probably 30-40
hours into the game. And then I was like, yo, you can
get rid of duds. Like you can do that.

(33:40):
Yeah, dude, take care. For the answers away, why you
tell me this shooter? Yeah.
And then the whole backing out of the computer, in and out of
the computer like it's A to reset everything.
And every. Yeah, yeah, I didn't know.
I played it on hard mode, yeah. Yeah, so yo man, said one of my
favourites. Yeah, man, I'll, I'll even like

(34:03):
I'm I might start another another guy right now.
I might you know. Yeah, and I, I restarted it, but
I'm still focused on energy weapons, guns, science,
computers, medical and lock picking.
So like I'm, it's just just likewhen I play Skyrim, my I, I'm
always a stealth Archer. Yeah, 'cause it just goes right
back to the same stuff. Same format man, right man.

(34:31):
Third game we got RoboCop Rogue City, that's a newer one.
That's a newer game. I was like 2.
Years old man. So good man.
Did you get the game because youlove the movie and the character
or was this just kind of like another like a random pickup?
No, I, it's, I'm, I'm an 80s baby, yo.
So I'm fortunate that my dad letme watch like these Ultraviolet

(34:55):
movies with him and everything like that, like, you know,
RoboCop, Terminator and everything.
He was always there and he'd be like, like seeing somebody get
shot. And he's, he talks to me like,
hey, Gene, you see him? That guy that got shot right
there, like he couldn't walk like 8 miles.
He had been dead long time ago. This is not real, OK?

(35:15):
This is not real. All right.
So so I'm like, OK dad, as I'm watching RoboCop and get the guy
gets shot in the in the and everything.
I was thinking, I was thinking just that, Like, let me explain
this scene to you here, son. But it's it's almost akin to
like Ghostbusters, like Ghost, the Ghostbusters video game is

(35:37):
very accurate to the source material.
Like I mean I mean PO Weller is in the game like don't.
Give me this Saturday morning RoboCop cartoon stuff either.
Just to be clear, we're talking Verhoven.
RoboCop. Not Saturday morning cartoon
RoboCop. No, we're talking ultra violent

(35:57):
Detroit dirt city where a black, black Taurus, right?
Beat up black Taurus RoboCop, yo.
And it's it's true to life. Like it's true.
Like not only, just like you're doing like RoboCop things like
the humor of RoboCop is in the game and it's hilarious.

(36:18):
So there's so many Easter eggs too, like going back to the
movies, like there's a there's alevel where you're going through
like this. It's kind of like a construction
area because these bikers took over.
But there's graffiti. Why?
There's a graffiti on the wall saying like, can you fly Bobby?
Like on the wall? Like, you know where that's

(36:39):
from, you know, you know, you know where that's from.
When RoboCop, when Baraka had had everybody, they just did the
robbery. They had a poet.
They he's just shot a cop. And then Bobby's hurt in the, in
the van and then RoboCop chasingthem down and then Bodica's and

(36:59):
he's like, dude, Clearance, you gonna help me?
And then he's like, can you fly Bobby?
And then Clearance Bodica throwsthem out the whip.
Yeah, tosses them out the whip onto the Robocop's car and
everything like that. And they have a, they have like
a graffiti up there. And there's tons of callbacks to
the, to the old movie and everything like that.

(37:19):
There's even a mission where yougot to get the mayor's
daughter's car 'cause it's in a chop shop and it's the and it's
the S UX6000 or 2000, whatever that that car was, though the
the really sucky car that they, that they had, they had like 222
like 2 gallons to me, two miles on the gallon or something like

(37:41):
that right thing. But the whole game is just it's
just, it's just another great way of using the source
material. They didn't slouch with it at
all and everything like it's beautiful, it looks good, It's
ultra violent like the movie, like it's just great.
Like I they they there there's anew game plus mode that was

(38:04):
released like a couple months ago.
So I'm I'm currently doing that right now and I know that the
the summer of 2025 this summer is supposed to be releasing like
a a standalone DLC. In four days.
In four days, Yup, Yup, Yup. So I'm looking in forward to
that too as well. Like it's just a really done

(38:26):
well move. You, you know, you know, these
designers like really like, loveand respect the source material
to the point they had to get Peter Waller, you know what I
mean? They had to get him because they
wouldn't be RoboCop without him,you know?
And then the they're like, RoboCop has humor.

(38:47):
I'm looking at you later RoboCopmovies.
So I'm looking at you RoboCop 3.Well, this, this game is
supposed to be set between 2:00 and 3:00.
That was kind of their, yeah. There's a reason.
There's a reason they stuck it in there, you know?
They would, yeah. It's much like.
Halloween's. But it's like Halloween's
timeline ignores a lot of movies.

(39:07):
Or much like various other aliens, like, can't figure out
what's real and what's not. Yeah, there's a reason they they
put it where they did. Stuck it right there.
They stuck it right there and itjust it just translates well and
you've just like how in Ghostbusters you feel like a
Ghostbuster, you feel like RoboCop, like it's ridiculous.
You know there's like so you know, you can rank up your your

(39:29):
RoboCop with different perks andeverything like that.
Why there's a perk where if theyshoot at you, El ricochet hit
them in the head. They.
Just they thought of it all. What was that?
They thought of it. They thought of it all.
They thought of it. We're we're going to make, we're
going to make a new movie. We're going to make, but you get

(39:52):
to play it. But you get to play it and
everything like that, and I think that's the most amazing
thing about it Feels like a movie, like the music mounts
like like like in the movie whenroll cops like doing his thing
and everything like that. Like it's crazy, yo, like I love
the game, dog. I love the game, man.
So do you. Do you like that he that you're

(40:13):
kind of slow because like RoboCop, you know, RoboCop
doesn't move very well and he he's kind of slow.
It's not like a regular shooter where you know you just can move
sideways just because you look like you're floating everywhere
all the time. Yo, yeah, like you know what it
is like there's a like you can you walk and you can hear your
like RoboCop sound footsteps andthen there is a slight dash

(40:36):
button where you rush forward. But then there's also he does do
this kind of weird Robo 1. So it's almost like a fast-paced
walk or something like that. It's hilarious.
So do do, do I'm like, OK, you're running now.
All right, man, get up to speed.Really good one here.

(40:56):
Yeah. And then I remember like, and he
doesn't. And RoboCop doesn't duck.
RoboCop doesn't duck. There's no ducking behind.
You could kind of like go behindcover.
Shoot him in like the mouth or the chin anyway.
So it's like, yeah, he's not theduck.
Yeah, he doesn't duck. Like everything like that.
And it's so funny, like like, like, like the, the, the, the,

(41:19):
the guys like make them scrap metal, stuff like that.
And RoboCop is just plowing through everybody all plowing
through like, Oh my gosh. Like you see any, like you shoot
off limbs, like an arm would just come off.
And the guy's like, and then RoboCop comes and does punches
them and they could go like splat against the wall.

(41:39):
Like they splat against the wall, yo, like, Oh my gosh.
So it's it's it's so on point. Like this is exactly what I was
seeing in the movie. Like exactly what I was seeing
do do. Any of the other weapons matter
because you start with your pistol has unlimited ammo.

(42:02):
Do do they matter or you just run through the game with this
pistol and and just enjoy being RoboCop?
So you get in the game, you get OCP chips to update the auto 9
and you could give the auto 9 different properties.
So I kitted the auto 9. I did it only once and then I
lost the build. I forgot how to how I did it but

(42:22):
I remember I had the auto 9 kitted to where I just had
unlimited ammo. So basically I was shooting like
in like in a regular 80s movie. You don't reload in the 80s
movie, so reloading. No, no one reloaded.
Before the year 2002 in a movie,by the way, Dirty Harry never

(42:43):
reloaded, he just knew how many shots there were.
By the way, even even in the newest Doom game, there's no
reloading. It's just like how many people
you just have this many bullets. You just keep shooting.
Just. Keep shooting, just keep
shooting and stuff like that. So, so yeah.
So the auto not could be updated.
You can even have like explosive, explosive bullets,
like there's a bunch of things you could do with the Auto 9.

(43:03):
So like the other weapons, they it all depends.
I think. Like I think the only weapons
that really count is like the sniper rifle.
If you pick it up, there's a there's like a, there's like a
howitzer. You can like RIP off of a off a
off of like a off of amounts. You can use that.

(43:25):
Like there's handguns and stuff around, but they don't really
since it's it your RoboCop, use your auto 9 and then get the
chips and just kit out your yourauto 9 to where it's like it's
unstoppable. Like yeah, yo.
And the auto 9 RoboCop does, he can track and target things.

(43:47):
So even if it's far away, you can still hit it with the auto
hit something with the auto 9, right, like a sniper rifle,
because he automatically keys into something so that I just
aim up a little bit and most likely I'm going to hit him
right in the head and everything.
So yeah, auto 9 that I just feellike it's auto nine time.

(44:07):
Let's go auto nine time. What?
Let's talk about another game where you can kick things out
here. You you previously teased the
game that is the devil. Oh God, here we go.
But your. First, Honorable mentioned you
wanted to bring up Bilatro, the the the poker game that sucks up
All Souls that it comes in contact with.

(44:30):
Man, and then y'all and y'all atChannel 3 did it to me because
when it was hyped, like y'all were really hyping it up.
Like I would see different people with their different
joker combinations and everything.
And I'm not AI, don't play pokerlike I don't play poker.
So in terms of like 3 of a kindsand then like, I don't know,

(44:52):
like full house, like I wasn't really Privy on like the
language and stuff. So when I, it was very
intimidating when I first started playing it, but then I
noticed what the jokers do, how they do.
They pretty much change everything up, like in terms of
the points and then like the different jokers you can get.
And like, as soon as I started realizing what I'm, what I like,

(45:16):
like how to compound, yeah, how to compound and like how to keep
your, the, the, the hands that you play to, to make them
benefit you the most in conjunction with the jokers and
everything like that, I was like, Oh my gosh.
Like like, you know when you do a hand and you automatically
know like I'm just like whateverthe point, total, like you're

(45:39):
going to blow it out the water you see, like the flames.
Yeah, it's flaming before you even submit because it's not
even clue. Like even before the bonuses
you've got this thing locked. You already got it, yo.
That's like the hypest feeling dog.
And I'm like, yo, get the and you just keep hearing Ding,
Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding.
It's only halfway if you do my jokers.

(46:00):
I'm still racking points up. Let's.
Go still racking points, like I'm still racking points.
I'm like, this is crazy. And on top of that, the music.
The really, in my head, it's onesong.
It's not there's there's not music changing.
There's not music changing when you're against like a boss hand.
No, it's the same music. But it's wonderful.

(46:22):
Yo, that oops music is wonderfuland there's no time limit so I
can like put the game down, do something else, eat it like take
a bite of my sandwich all right, have a have an adult beverage,
stuff like that Talk like Oh my gosh, it's such a chill but so

(46:44):
addictive game. Like I've I've sat and played it
for like hour 2 hours straight like.
It's the kid. One more run.
Because like, yeah, you play, you play around, you play a
couple hands, like, oh, I lost on the 5th ante.
You know what? I could let me do another one.
Let me go one more. We'll do one more run.
I just won this one. I did one more run.
Let's do one more run. One more run.

(47:05):
One more run man. I've I've gotten up to 7
aunties. That's that's what I've done.
I have not yet you haven't. You haven't beaten 1 yet.
One yet. So that's that's that's the I
don't know what's going to yeah.So I was close though, and then
and then I saved a couple of seeds too, because they were
like good runs. I got good jokers and everything

(47:27):
like that. The jokers aligned with the
cards you and the planet cards you can get.
So it's like I can build towardssomething here.
A bill towards something. So I play occasionally go back
and play an old seed and see if I could get get get up there and
everything like that too. But yeah, man, like that game is
so great. Like it's like and at the music,

(47:49):
like I'm like, listen, I can hear the music right now.
It's not good. It's scary.
It's scary in that way, yeah. Scary.
Oh my gosh, man, such a good, such a great game.
Thanks for letting me for being so vocal about it on the
channel, man, because because I wouldn't I wouldn't know that

(48:11):
like and then in the community II at on 3/3 channel 32 like when
I first started playing it like a lot of people encouraging me
like don't give up and everything like that and I was
like, alright, yo, and look at me now, man like I have it on I
have it on three systems. I have it on my switch.

(48:31):
I Yup, Yup, I have it on my switch.
I have it on my PS4 and I also have it on my Xbox Series XI
just. Don't put it on your phone.
Do not. This is for everybody.
This isn't just for you technician.
Do not put it on your phone. It's in the App Store, you can

(48:54):
get it in the apps. Oh yeah?
Oh, you didn't? Know.
That Oh yeah. Do not get it on your phone.
OK, I'm not going to do it. No, I just got a Steam Deck and
then we, you know, the steam sale summer sales over and I saw
it and I was like so I get I'm like Nah, man, calm down.

(49:17):
You know, calm down. You don't need you.
Already have it on the switch you're you're good for
portability that's. Yeah, I got it on the switch.
So and like even towards the endof the school year, towards the
end of the school, yeah, I wouldbring my switch to school and
then I was pretty much done withgrading and stuff like that.
So I'll eat my lunch and and be playing a hand.

(49:38):
So I go to side. Did did you did you trigger the
Easter egg on the site? Have you actually written out
the name of the game in a comment or the?
No, I haven't. I should do that.
You should probably Don't tell me.
Don't tell me. Yeah, there's a, there's a gift
that if you, if you type something out that's in a, there

(50:00):
are lots of Easter eggs on the site.
Like let's say you know what Credo says to his son
frequently. The second you write that, then
the tagline appears and. You gotta show up, yeah.
So which happens to a lot of people, yeah.
So I like yeah, just. Like it pops on that one.
So there's there's ones that areobvious and stupid, like just
boy. You just say boy and the tagline

(50:20):
boy will appear in your in your inventory.
And then there are other ones that like people will, will.
Yeah. Frank, at this point, I don't
know if Ray's even aware of all.I know I have forgotten how many
Easter eggs have been put into the site at this point, but I
don't even know if I have them all or.
Yeah, I'll just, I'll just say this game has one related to it.
And thanks to Gamer V for the the gift that's been provided

(50:43):
with it. That's OK.
But the one last question I was going to ask.
So, yeah, this is a game where like if I get a certain joker,
especially early, or like there's a couple of jokers, I'm
like, oh, it's on. I've got this.
It's mine. I'm taking this one to the to
the hole. Let's go.
And I just have to remember to to change my, you know, follow

(51:05):
my order of operations, maximizemy additions and
multiplications. I say this all the time to Ray
because I want him to join us inchurch here, Join us in the
Church of Philosophy. That's one math.
It's a math. Teacher, it's a math teacher's
dream to see the order of operations like this.
But is there a joke or that you you see it and you're like, oh,
let's go. What it's on?

(51:26):
I I got a couple man. Good question, Dan.
Good question. Yo, I like the random joker, the
one that does the random multiplier.
Oh yeah. Zero to 20.
It's like, yeah, it's like miss. It's like misprint or something
like that. Yep.
Misprint. That's right.
Yep. Yeah, and it continually changes

(51:46):
on its own. Every every millisecond
basically changes what it's multiplier or it's addition is,
yeah. So that, that one, that one's
great because like sometimes it just triggers and you get a
landslide real quick. So I like that.
Very good early joker When I when I dump quickly too, because
like I don't need the zero to hit me at the wrong time.

(52:06):
Once I get a once I get a stronger 1:00, but you get that
one in the first hand like, Oh no, I'm set for the first three
antes. Let's go.
Yeah, yes, that's that's a good one.
I like the. I like the one that turns all
that turns all cards to face cards.
Get those. Get those face card bonuses
stacking up there. Get the Yep.

(52:28):
Cuz I'll have another card stacked the. +5 for every face
card, then like, everything's now a face card, so let's go,
yeah. Yeah, then, then.
The boss blind comes along and says every card, all of your
face cards are debuffed and you're like no, what do I do?
Do. Yo velacho is mean dog

(52:49):
sometimes. Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's
ran. The RNG guys will look
unfavorably upon you at times. Yes, Oh my God.
It's mean though. I know, I know.
Yo, those boss blinds are ridiculous, yo.
So yeah. But if, if I don't get it,
that's a good one. I also like what's the other
one, man? It's the card that it has like,

(53:12):
it's like a splash of water. Oh yeah, it's the one that, I
don't remember what it's called, but it's the one that lets you
like every card counts no matterwhat.
This is that one, yeah. Because usually, like if say
that I have more hands than discards, right?
So then I use. Sometimes I use some of my I'll
use. I'll play a hand, but then I

(53:33):
want to throw away cards that I don't want to use because I
don't want to discard. Just give me the points.
Yeah, just give me the points. Like it'll still give me the
points. So that splash card, that one's
a really good one. Because if I have a, if I have
more hands than discards, then even though I'm playing hands
and trying to throw away cards, and as I'm throwing, make

(53:54):
playing a hand like maybe like apair or two pairs or two pair or
something like that. I can still get a point on that
3 or even 1 card or whatever it is and everything like that.
So that's a good one too. It's another Joker card that I
liked. The one that is like the first,

(54:15):
the flaming first. What's that one it's like?
Oh, it's the one at the minimum.Like whatever your lowest card
is, you get the multiplier twice.
Yeah, if if your lowest card when after you've played this
remaining your hand is like a 10, then you get a + 20.
Yeah, that's always a that's always a helpful one.
Yeah, Make sure you don't accidentally have a 2.

(54:36):
So there. You got to like dump A2 just to
get rid of it, but yeah. Yeah, yeah, those, those are my
favorites, yo. But I haven't unlocked
everything in it like any other one either game.
It's cool that I got it on all three systems or at least three
systems and everything. So I pretty much have like a
difference, Yeah. You just don't have cross

(54:57):
progression is the only problem. So you're like 3.
What do I have unlocked in this?Yeah.
Yeah, but it's Bilatra. I don't care.
Yeah, nothing fun anyway. I don't.
I don't care. I don't care.
Ray, you're a math teacher. That's great, man.
Because this is fun math. Like I like this math.
I'm sure it is that's the problem.
It's probably too much fun. And then?

(55:19):
It's rogue like math 3. Yeah, exactly.
Nothing will get done if I started.
That's the actual problem. We go back in time now.
We go back in time for this next.
Year. Here we go.
We got we got Mega Man 2 and I Iknow the answer to this, but I
have to ask just. To make sure we olds are
offended by this question. Just to be, I know, but it has

(55:41):
to be asked Mega Man 2 right? Not X2.
Mega Man 2. Yeah, Mega Man 2, not X2.
I don't know about that stuff. OK.
Did he? Did he not make it clear there
wasn't an X there Ray? Little I know I know, but it
have have to make. Sure, but it's it.
That is a fun game. But I'm talking Mega Man 2,

(56:01):
right? I'm talking Mega Man 2, you
know, regular Mega Man two. Yeah.
So that's a honorable mention for me because I feel like, you
know, video games is it's been apart of my life for a lot of for
for a long time. And I always have these fond
memories of it. And Mega Man 2 is a big fond

(56:22):
memory of mine because my friendJay had it and I was able to
sleep over one night. It was like my first sleepover
ever. My parents let me go.
And I remember we played Mega Man 2 through that whole entire
night and it was, it was amazing.
Like it was amazing. And I remember like, you know,

(56:44):
the order that we went through to, to beat the guys and
everything like that. You know, Metal Man, you know,
everybody knows Metal Man Saws is like the best weapon in the
game and everything like that. If you can.
Pull him off as a first. You're unstoppable.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. We didn't play it like that
though. Like, well, we, we all, we

(57:05):
played Airman stage first and then used the Mega Buster for
that. And then I feel like after that
we went and played, played MetalMan next, but then used the
still used the blaster. And then we used Airman to beat
Crash Man, I believe. And then we used Crash Man to

(57:28):
beat Flash Man and then flash man to be quick man.
And then we had to do like bubble went to bubble went to a
bubble, Bubble Man use the metalblades for that.
Then the bubbles we use for heatman and then heat man we use for

(57:49):
wood. And I think that was it.
That's it, right? I think that's it, right?
Close enough for me. But it was just mapping.
We're just up all night playing like, you know, we're sleepover.
So we're like up to like thing like like one or something like
that. Playing that game, it was
amazing. So I always like look at Mega

(58:09):
Man 2 and I at least play it once a year and go through it
like once and everything just for that nostalgia and
everything like that. So that's a big one for me.
Like Mega Man 2, I always love that game.
And I mean, I played the other ones like like I think all that
played up to five of the original.
And then no hating on on Mega Man X, but I think I only played

(58:33):
Mega Man X. The first one, yeah.
I didn't play the second one though, no.
One's no, no one's going to be upset at you.
They get they get real weird. I can't like when they come back
to 9. Like when they come back and do
9 they get real weird. Oh, they get really weird.
OK. I mean, but then I mean not good
I. Don't know if they, I don't

(58:54):
know. If they get, they're not,
they're not good in there, Yeah.SO11 might still be the best I I
I got. I got annoyed with two but I
think that 3 was good but. You said X3 was good.
I liked X3X2, annoyed me but I think I'm in the minority.
I think a lot of people like X2 more.
Oh, OK. Than I do but I liked one more
all right I only I only have onequestion then for Mega and I

(59:16):
didn't ask you this. You know I can forgive maybe I
can forgive the the cover of thefirst game of the first Mega Man
who would cover the dude's yellow?
I don't I don't know how how he's yellow on the cover he's
got a gun in his hand all that. Maybe the Mega Man 2, Mega Man
2's got the same problem that wehad a whole game and they got an

(59:39):
artist who put a gun in his hand.
Again, what? What is happening?
It was it. Was a blaster OK And Mega Man
two, it was like a little. You're right, he's holding it in
a hand, though he doesn't have two hands.
Tell me what is going on with these colors.
No, I think. I think the AVGNS explained it

(01:00:01):
like they outsourced the the theart.
You don't say. Yeah.
Let me tell you. Let me tell you this.
Even Google, Google. Even Google.
Knows. A clue.
Even Google knows it's a problembecause if you type in Mega Man
Two, the first picture you get is the opening title screen.

(01:00:25):
You have to go to the second picture to get the boxer.
Yeah. But even though baby don't baby,
this can't be the first thing that pops up.
For this game I don't understandand I think in in the Mega Man 3
box art like Mega Man shooting the robot in the.
Let me see when we when I figured it.

(01:00:45):
Yeah, he is. You're right.
That's at least they give him a blaster in that one.
Yeah, he has a blaster now in the Game 2.
I have to shout out the aforementioned Mega Man 9 when
they came back to do like retro homage on the homages that they
have Mega Man with the the Mega Blaster, but he's also got a.
Handgun still go to the other hand, Yeah.

(01:01:09):
But like Richard's verbatim, youknow, they kept it, Yeah.
They they, they just like, no, we can't let it go and.
Like the cover's like he's like a man in the cover again on Mega
Man 90. My gosh, that's real bad.
Oh my God, I had. I had to talk about that before

(01:01:30):
we. Before we went on, I know we all
say that, but I think ABG said like they just outsource that
stuff and then it's, they don't even like they don't even see
the game. They just give them a
description. This is what we want.
Draw it out and then that's whatwe got, you know?
We already spent 100 bucks on it.
We can't go back now. We.
Can't go back now, you know whatI'm saying?

(01:01:51):
You know what I'm saying? Good guy.
We can't. We can't.
We can't. We got the payment one through 5
already. We only had $100 budget.
This is all we got. Let's go we.
Can't do anything about it but definitely the first parts are
has to be the worst. Like the guy looks confused and
constipated, doesn't make any. Sense well, maybe I'll give it

(01:02:15):
one. I'll give you 1 cover, I'll give
you 1 cover. That's.
Fine, it was the constipated part that I'm like, Oh my God,
he kind of does. He's.
Like he's like with the gun in the hand when he's going man
copper squat beating, he's struggling.
He's. Struggling out there, There's no

(01:02:35):
doubt about it. Oh, man.
All right. I got to move.
We're gonna move. From there, we move.
OK. One more game we we got Super
Mario Brothers. Yeah, on the NES.
I'm good on the NES. OK, yeah, absolutely.
So I, I gotta admit, my, my first, my first like system I've
ever had a console wasn't like in NES, it wasn't like I had a

(01:02:58):
Tandy 1000, AKA the TRS 80. That's what I had.
That was the first thing I had. And I always talk about Super
Mario Brothers because I went over my dad went over his like
one of his church's friend's house.
And then the son had Super MarioBrothers.

(01:03:18):
So they were like talking stuff in the other room.
And they said like, you know, goin this room there, you, you
know, there's a Nintendo in there.
So I that was like my first likeexposure exposure to like the
NES and the Super Nintendo, I mean not Super Nintendo, but the
regular NES. And I was just I was I was blown

(01:03:40):
away like I couldn't believe it.The music just like the way it
played in comparison to my my Tandy 1000, because there was
nothing like that at RadioShack.Like games like that.
I was playing stuff like dungeons or drag or Daggeraf and
downland and then like, you know, baseball and stuff like

(01:04:02):
that. Like I wasn't playing something
like this where this little likeItalian dude is is hopping
around and getting the mushroom. And when he got the fire flower,
you could shoot the fire flowersand everything.
And then, and then you know my friend, like he already like new
like shortcuts and everything. So then you know, the shortcut

(01:04:25):
on the first stage to the three warp zones and everything like
that. And I was like, oh, you can skip
levels. Like what though?
This is insane. Like this is insane.
Like Oh my goodness, yo. Like we sat there and we played
the like, I think we were there for like, I don't know, for like
an hour or so. We probably beat the game like 3

(01:04:46):
times like were there yo when I was there hanging out and and
then that's all I could think about.
Like I wanted NES but I didn't get an NES until like way later.
I think one of my friends was upgrading to the Sega Genesis at
that time and then he was selling all his stuff.
So I ended up taking like my lawnmower money and ended up

(01:05:08):
buying like all his stuff. The same friend that slept over
and we played Mega Man 2 that night, like he sold me all of
his stuff. So I had all those games and
everything like that. And like that's when I had an
NES and everything. But that's like my first like
foray into like the consoles andlike I never went back like,

(01:05:29):
like since. So yeah, Super Mario Brothers
always. And it's I and I, I was thinking
like, I shouldn't have put this on the list as I ever mentioned,
but I mean, it's my list. So like it's.
A good but it's a good reason too, right 'cause you're it's it
was like it's such a jump and take technology and there's so
much going on on the screen in that game at the same time,

(01:05:53):
right you've got background you jump you got these blocks you
hit and something comes out of them when he has a fire flower
there there's, you know multiplethings moving on the screen at
the same time that means there'smultiple.
Colors. Changing on the screen at once.
There's so much happening and itand it and it works.
Right. And it works man.

(01:06:14):
And I'm, I'm glad you talked about the color palette.
The color palette was amazing. Like I've never seen something
like this before in comparison to my, to my Tandy 1000 I had at
home. I'm like, this is amazing.
Like look at all the colors and like, and they had, and like we
played, we skipped levels. But then, you know, we actually

(01:06:35):
did like a run through, you know, all of the 8 stages and
like how they could vary the stages and on that, on that, you
know, original Super Mario Brothers, like it was very, it
was very like like unique, I've never seen something like this
before. So to be able to, had a chance

(01:06:55):
to play that and then available to own it and everything like
that, like it was amazing, you know what I mean?
And then I played the other oneslike, you know, the Mario on
Super Mario Brothers 2, you know, and then eventually Mario
Brothers 3 and everything like that.
And I was, I always say this bigthing, like I always say this.
I mean, there's no cross the walls of what they were and

(01:07:18):
everything like that. But I really got to say
Nintendo's king, like Nintendo'sking, Yo, like I can't like
I've, I, I, I don't know how Nintendo keeps like innovating
and making things so great and everything like that.
Like I know the switch to is outand everything.
I didn't end up getting it because you know you know, the
first run of the systems are like the are like the beta

(01:07:41):
systems, the one that always have something wrong with it or
anything like that. So I always wait for version 2
switch. The regular switch went through
that too as well. So I ended up getting the
version 2 of that the regular switch.
That works fine, but regardless of the fact Nintendo's king like
it's just the, the, the, the type of games that they have and

(01:08:03):
the staying power and everythinglike that, like it's amazing.
So Super Mario Brothers will always be like a fun memory for
me. It'll always be.
It's not my top game, but it's one of my honorable mentions.
Definitely. If I ever see it, like if I ever
see it in the wild, like in the art, one of those play a choice

(01:08:25):
arcade machine, I'm gonna, I'm gonna play it, you know, You
know what I mean? So yeah.
Absolutely. Yeah, man.
All right, so let's look to the future now.
Future. Game we're looking forward to.
And before I say the game just got you, you're a big Pac-Man
fan. Oh, you already know.

(01:08:45):
Yeah, I like Pac-Man. I could.
Who doesn't? Who doesn't like Pac-Man?
PAC Man's great man. I remember times like if it was
there, like at the at the Pizza Hut, I was playing, I had 1/4.
I was going to play it. You know what I mean?
So funny you talk about that because what I'm looking forward
to, and it's coming out this week on Friday, is Shadow

(01:09:08):
Labyrinth. That's right.
So have y'all watched? I'm wondering.
Secret. Level Secret level.
Oh yeah, Yup, that's. All there better episodes.
Yup. So Secret Level is a is a.
It's like a short series that's on Netflix and on it each
episode is based on a video game.

(01:09:29):
Like they had one on armor core where Keanu Reeve was in it.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was in another one.
I don't know what game that referenced though.
I don't know what game that referenced it was.
I don't think I remember that. But there was a Mega Man episode
2. But a reason I bring it up is
because shot, there was an episode where there was this

(01:09:54):
nameless humanoid that was born and then there was this little
gold globe and his name was Puck.
And if you don't know history ofPac-Man, Pac-Man was released in
Japan 1st and it was supposed tohave the name Puck Man first.

(01:10:14):
OK? I mean, this is something that a
lot of us gamers know, but if you're listening now, you don't
know. It was supposed to be named Puck
Man, but they changed it to Pac-Man when they brought it
over to the States because immature teenage boys would
change the P to an F. And you know that it's going to
lead to that, to that. So the the little gold globe is

(01:10:38):
named Puck. And then as you're going through
the you're trying to escape the labyrinth.
And then the only way is the puck keeps telling you you got
to keep eating, you got to keep feeding on the ghosts that are
in the maze. All right.
And eventually at the end of that is that the puck ends up
becoming some kind of like I'll monster and tries to get out the

(01:11:02):
maze, but it ends up not and notgetting out.
And then that that that guy diesand then another one's reborn.
So basically it's an analogy to Pac-Man because Puck is the
gold. And then what Puck does, it eats
the ghost to get powerful to be able to skip the maze.

(01:11:22):
So shadow lot, basically, it waslike a trailer for the game
that's coming out this Friday, which is so sick, which was so
sick. And it's like, and it was crazy
because you're like, yo, this this is a Pac-Man game, but it's
a horror game now. Like it's frightening like so

(01:11:42):
I'm looking forward to that a lot I'm streaming it on this
Saturday too. I'm not going to open the game
up. We're going to I'm going to play
it first time Saturday with everybody.
Hopefully people could come through.
If you're not, it'll be there recorded.
Who cares everything so but but yeah man, I'm really looking

(01:12:03):
forward to that game y'all, because the the just the the
that secret level episode was amazing and then and I saw a
gameplay for it too, and it looks pretty good.
It looks like it might be even I'm thinking it might be even a
roguelike a little bit. It might be.
Yeah, I think, I think that's a big piece of it.

(01:12:23):
I. Think we're going to do
something to it yeah that that that stupid level hyped me up.
I I, I watched it and then realized that it was connected
to the game immediately. I'm buying it.
That's that's an immediate buy it's like 30.
It's like 30 bucks till I was like, yeah, I'm in.
That's that's. That's easy.
Yeah, dude, I'm definitely in that.

(01:12:44):
I can't wait to play that, yo, Iknow it's going to be good and
hopefully, hopefully like in terms of dialogue and stuff like
that, they still have the dialogue of Puck like talking to
you and. Stuff that was like the best
part because you don't, I, I forget watching, you don't even
really realize that like he's like kind of talking,
manipulating you. You almost don't notice.
It's it's the puck. Yeah.

(01:13:05):
Until, until it's time to to take over.
Time to take over and stuff likethat too.
So I I can't wait to see that that dynamic between the the
humanoid and puck like it's going to be amazing y'all.
So with that, with that, yeah, that's, that's what I'm looking
forward to. That's what I'm looking forward
to y'all, Yeah. And I'm glad y'all are too

(01:13:26):
because yeah, man, yeah. Damn, You're supposed to add
that on the list if it's alreadyit's.
It's, it's been in there since the the The Game Awards or
whatever it was they announced like, Oh my God, that's actually
the game. Oh, God, yeah, it's there.
Well, let's, let's, let's talk what we do now.
We take a quest, a question fromthe Channel 3 history books.

(01:13:47):
We don't give you a heads up on this one, but have a little fun
with it. We we make sure we're prepared.
But this is when we get to torture you.
But oh, great. But we want to know what's your
favorite game you never finished?
Oh crap, that's a good one. You enjoyed it, but you never
finished it. Dang it, Todd.

(01:14:08):
Guardians of the Galaxy. Oh boy, Ray, I'm I'm going to
withhold my comments here. Oh, what are you?
No, I'm. I'm trying to get the.
Video game. I'm trying to get the video game
book club to play that now. I love that game.
That game OK. Good, good, good.
Yeah. Oh, it's, it's, it's amazing.
I like, I like games just in general that just have like a

(01:14:32):
really good story and a chemistry amongst the
characters. Yo, and that's the ultimate one.
It's so funny playing that game and then like between missions,
like checking out their rooms and like actually talking to
each of the individual Guardiansof the Galaxy is you.
Save the llama or not? Is the llama eating your ship
while you're between missions orYeah.

(01:14:57):
The space llama. You play, you play, you play
your tunes on the on the overhead.
Yeah, yeah, Oh, yeah, yeah. Go, go finish.
Listen, if you don't finish thatgame, I'm trying to get the book
club to play it because it's been free a bunch of times.
It's been cheap a bunch of times.
It's free on Epic. And like, I think I got it on
Epic. I I I loved that game.

(01:15:17):
And I was angry at how terrible The Avengers game was because I
feel like the Guardians of the Galaxy had some stank on it that
it couldn't get off because of. Because of that, people just
slept on it. Oh my gosh, The Avengers game.
Man, I wasted so much time. And then?
Oh my gosh. And I can't get like, I can't

(01:15:39):
get rid of it. Like what I'm going to do with
that? Like I trade that is like I like
$0.50 or something like that. It's terrible, hey.
It's D listed now, maybe worth now.
You should have held on to it. No, I still have it.
Like, OK, OK, so it's delisted. All right, I'm gonna Yeah.
Can't get. Avengers anywhere else if you
didn't have it. So maybe, maybe worth a dollar
now instead. There you go.

(01:16:00):
Hey. That's doubled already.
And that game's not. And to be clear, like that
game's not terrible. The live service garbage they
shoved into it is the narrative game.
Not terrible though. No, it's not even for that.
I like I like the story with Kamala and everything like that
and every and then. Yeah, the Modoc, the Kamala,
that's all. That's all good stuff.
Yeah, yo, but but yeah, I wish. I I, I'm, I mean, I think, I

(01:16:23):
think in Guardians Galaxy, I'm fighting the brothers right now.
The two brothers, The the, you know, the ones you're.
Like halfway I think. I'm halfway through, yeah, so.
It's not a long game. It's probably like a 20 hour
game. It's, it's, it's good.
It's you get you get your money's worth out.
Yeah, So I think I, I think I may have time this summer.

(01:16:43):
I could see myself waking up like 1 morning and then just
just plugging it in and just kind of plowing through it like
one day. If I'm halfway through it right
now, you can do it. Yeah.
Yeah, I'm going to do that. I'm going to do that, though.
I'm almost coming in the end of Jones, so I'm going to hop on
that, yeah. Our last question.

(01:17:05):
Last question. Favorite feature on Channel 3?
OK, Oh wow. I like the.
I like the the the guess the game thing.
What is it like? Enhance.
The enhance, yeah, I like that. Sometimes I get it right off the
bat. I like that one.

(01:17:27):
I like the trivia a lot too as well.
The targets I feel like we need. There needs to be some more maps
because I mean, I know New York pretty well.
So I get really I do, I do OK with the with the New York with
like picking up New York, I meanfrom Spider Man, everything like

(01:17:47):
that. I'm actually playing, I mean,
I'm actually playing Spider Man 2 right now.
So that really helps out a lot with that.
But I really like the trivia andI like the enhance.
Yeah, those were really fun. And then also I the biggest feat
I one of the other features I like is that, you know, when you

(01:18:08):
post and then you can like one up people.
Like one up people. Yeah, I really like that too,
because like I try to get on thesite like every day or every
other day during the school yearit was almost like every other
day, but today I'm off like I'vespent every day I've been
hopping on and it's just cooler to see what people are one up in

(01:18:30):
and then like I run up other people and then like, you know,
similar interests and stuff likethat.
I did seen I did see Retro Nomad.
He posted and then also a littlecool games.
They posted something about fixing your profile and you can
have like all your favorites kind of showing up There is that

(01:18:52):
is that for everybody? That's the.
If you go to the dashboard view, the dashboard view lets you
customize a lot more instead of just like a normal social feed.
OK, There's like a dashboard on the top and then there's
settings on there you can change.
Like there's extra stuff you canlike if you're a Fortnite
person, we even have a tight endand we'll show you what's
selling on Fortnite today. Oh, OK.
So there's all sorts of stuff for that Did.

(01:19:14):
You make the picture list thoughthe about me.
Did you make yours? Oh, oh you.
Oh, me. You.
Yeah, because that was the new quest.
I think that's the one, right? Is that the one where they put
like their favorite game and thegame that there was that?
They that was the new quest. Oh, I didn't even see that.
That's what that. Oh yeah, that's, that's the new
one, Yeah. OK, yeah.

(01:19:34):
And I like the quest too as well.
I just need to know like, like, I know that you have like Mario
Kart tournaments and stuff like that.
I don't know how how how to get on to that 'cause I would like
to. I'd love to play some Mario
Kart. Just hit events and hit going or
maybe and you'll get notified when they go live.
OK, but listen Wednesday. Wednesday night, the night that

(01:19:56):
this drops this Wednesday, yeah,9:00 if you, oh, you don't have
the switch too, but tomorrow night.
Which will be after you've listened, after people hear
this, if you. So if you go to events and look
at upcoming events, they've got the Mario Kart Cups info in
there you said going or maybe and you'll get the code info for
how to jump in with them. OK, but the only thing we use.

(01:20:17):
Discord for is for voice chat for that, so if you want a voice
chat with them, they'll hang out.
Everybody's just chilling, hanging out.
So, oh, that's cool, Yeah. Yeah.
Because I want to go to the someof the tournaments and stuff
like that. Yeah.
I used to be a tournament playerfor Soul, for Soul Calibur.
Soul Calibur 4, a long time ago,yeah.
If you play Smash Brothers, we're about to close out the

(01:20:37):
season sign ups for that, so take a look at season signs for
Smash Brothers too. OK, all right, all right, cool.
Well, I like that. Like it's just again, like this,
the Channel 3 community, y'all, we're just really tight.
And then like you don't see negative stuff like you would
see on regular socials and stufflike that.

(01:20:58):
Does Everyone just enjoys what they enjoy and they share and
people connect and everything like that.
So I think if if if the camaraderie is a feature, I
would say that's my favorite part too.
OK. And I I am tagging you right now
you. Tagging me right now.
I'm tagging you right now in the.

(01:21:19):
Well, I was going to tag you right now.
Somewhere, somewhere. Keep an eye out.
He's got you. We we got you.
Tagging you in a club in the other I worked, I was in
Mushroom Kingdom racing. Those are the guys that's the
main Mario Kart club. OK, and they're they're they run
they're running Mario Kart 8 stuff still.

(01:21:40):
I know they're also doing Mario Kart World stuff, but they do
most of the Mario Kart things they got.
They'll Perry up for team events, they've got solo events,
they got it all. OK, so I like that and they're
gonna vary even if and I don't care if I want or not, I just
want to just be hanging out and having fun.
Yeah, that's it. Like I said, that's where you
can like chill on the Discord. People are just chatting, having

(01:22:02):
a good time and like also coaching each other up to.
That's the main club that that the plays ago and they're
they'll answer. They'll answer quickly and be
like, Oh yeah, you should come here right now or this time.
Come play, we'll be there there. That's dope.
That's dope. And on that note, we've made it
to the end of another one of your three podcasts.

Paper Ghosts: The Texas Teen Murders takes you back to 1983, when two teenagers were found murdered, execution-style, on a quiet Texas hill. What followed was decades of rumors, false leads, and a case that law enforcement could never seem to close. Now, veteran investigative journalist M. William Phelps reopens the file — uncovering new witnesses, hidden evidence, and a shocking web of deaths that may all be connected. Over nine gripping episodes, Paper Ghosts: The Texas Teen Murders unravels a story 42 years in the making… and asks the question: who’s really been hiding the truth?
