I am woefully underprepared for these discussions always.
So I just kind of ramble and talk through the various list of
what's new. Let me start by saying that in
season 9, we had some huge navigational changes.

OK, Some of the feedback was nobody asked for this, why are
you changing things? It was good the way it was.
In fact, many of you, not many of you, a select few of you are
still using the old navigation and and trust me, that is valid
feedback. I hear you.

It's always like a balance rightbetween like foundational stuff
that I know that we need longer term for growing versus, you
know, short term big wins and things that the Super users who
are already active are requesting, right?
So with season 10, it's all about the Super users.

It is very much unbalanced. I'm very much going for short
term wins. The things that you guys have
asked for. You remember the the quest that
was like, what's the wish list for the next season?
I literally went through all theresponses on that.
I copy and pasted it into a spreadsheet and I tried to work

through as many of those things as I could.
That's what season 10 is about. So there are no like big
structural changes really. Otherwise, we'll talk about it,
but it's a lot of small, smallerstuff that adds up hopefully
into a sense of satisfaction andappreciation for the Super users
because that's what it's all about for this season and always

really couldn't do it without you guys.
So that said, you already know push notifications is a big part
of Season 10. So I did spend a majority of my
time on push notifications and specifically a majority of my
time on push notifications for Apple.
So literally had to buy a new laptop just for doing that.

Had to learn a couple new languages just for doing that to
get the push notifications working in the Apple iOS App
Store app, right. So that was a big part of it.
You already have seen that you got that present early Christmas
in September. Yes.

All right, so that's so that's the intro.
This is all about super user requests.
Try to do as many of those as I possibly could.
What else is new? Before we open up the platform,
before we start talking about technical stuff, let's talk
about a couple of other things. First of all, we're not even

But we're trying to think of like, you should be able to buy

And then the other thing I got is this hat.

Sometimes I joke with my family,I'm like, I'm making all this

majority of the population doesn't care about Channel 3
yet, right? But you guys do the Super users
do it. That's why we that's why we make

money on on Channel 3 stuff, as you know, it sells in like small
batches, but it's more for you guys and it's also so that we
can pack the prize counter with Channel 3 stuff.

working with the city of Cincinnati again.
We keep doing that, but we continue to level up what we're
doing for youth esports in the city of Cincinnati.
This fall, the city of Cincinnati is putting on an
esports league for Super Smash Bros and Channel 3 is helping
out. So basically this is a thing

that I helped propose to them. And what we're going to do is we
picked eight different Cincinnati Rec center locations
and we're going to form teams, at least one team in each
location. And then we will have regular
season matchups for those teams against each other with coaches

and, you know, scoring and all that stuff all managed within
Channel 3. And then we'll have a finals
with all the we're going to havetwo different conferences, they
come together and then we have aa bracket and everything team
based Super Smash Bros E sports league in the city of
Cincinnati. I'm so excited for this, honored
that I get to be a part of it. And Channel 3 will be the

foundational tech that will be used to run those leagues.
So it's very exciting. It's going to be cool.

off without a hitch. It won't have any issues at all
because it's like minor, but there are a couple of things
that I'm a little bit nervous about that I think could have
some consequences. But we shall see.

So if we get a ton of users overnight, we just spin up a
bunch of servers and it just handles it right.
However, just whenever you change over to a new server, you
kind of have some bugs that you got to work through this, which
is what we're seeing. So I am going to put up the
stream starting soon screen and I'm going to work on that.

When I was testing this before, it was like working totally
fine, but it was just like me and Dana and Ray.
Now everybody's hitting it all at once.

everything. If you go to your settings,
notifications, everybody should have sort of a similar message.

Now, whether you're on web, Android or iOS, it should say
all set on this device. If you have them turned on, you
can turn on notifications on your device.
So if you're in App Store version on iOS, you go into your
settings and then you can go to the app and turn notifications
on and off across the entire application.
Same on Android. I think Android is a little

tougher for me to test. So today is like the big, big
test time for Android. Let me know.
You should get this message and you should be able to toggle
these things on, on and off on Android.
And before on iPhone, you couldn't turn off the specific
types of notifications. Now you can also on web you can.

browsers are similar. You got notifications here.
You can turn those on and off. They should all use the same
technology now and you should beable to get them in the
background on Android too. Right before it was like you

That was one of the most requested things right from

love it. QMO was like, can we go back to
the way tag lines used to work where they were like solid

Ray and Dan have have been seeing this for weeks as well
and they like it as well. But check out this tagline.
Now they are instead of you remember before it was like a
border with like blue text. Now it's got that background and
it's got the shit like sort of gradient.

This is like a niche thing that super users would care about and
nobody else. But now tag lines look filled in
like this and they sort of have that 3D texture.
I think it's cool. I'm excited about it, but again,

thing actually throughout the site, you'll see that, you know,
all over tag lines. One of the other things in that
wishlist quest that surprised methat people were asking for all

OK, so see that it moves me right down to the exact same
spot where I was when I clicked on.
We feel right? That's why you get this get new
post button because it's going to refresh this feed as if it's
brand new. That's what it used to do.
Now it's taking you to where youwere in the feed and allowing
you to continue scrolling. But now you click this button

and it'll refresh this entire feed.
I'm hearing some defects about where the placement of this get
new post button are, and hit me with that because we can work on

man, this is so slow. This is unacceptably slow.

dive into the infrastructure stuff and we'll get that new
server finely tuned. All right, so feed cache, that
is feed cache. So whenever you leave, whenever
you go to any other page, whenever you come back to the
home, it will take you to where you were in the feed and it will

put that get new post button at the top, mobile, desktop,
anything, it'll take you right back to where you were.
If you are already on the home page and you click home, it's

do is go in here to Fortnite. I believe I see a crown in the

most things. And then this whole section down
here is new. You can mute Fortnite, show
less, normal, show more, or subscribe.
First of all, if you mute Fortnite posts about Fortnite or

the in the feed unless you filter.
So if you're, if you're sorting through your feed and you're

I am woefully underprepared for these discussions always.
So I just kind of ramble and talk through the various list of
what's new. Let me start by saying that in
season 9, we had some huge navigational changes.

OK, Some of the feedback was nobody asked for this, why are
you changing things? It was good the way it was.
In fact, many of you, not many of you, a select few of you are
still using the old navigation and and trust me, that is valid
feedback. I hear you.

It's always like a balance rightbetween like foundational stuff
that I know that we need longer term for growing versus, you
know, short term big wins and things that the Super users who
are already active are requesting, right?
So with season 10, it's all about the Super users.

It is very much unbalanced. I'm very much going for short
term wins. The things that you guys have
asked for. You remember the the quest that
was like, what's the wish list for the next season?
I literally went through all theresponses on that.
I copy and pasted it into a spreadsheet and I tried to work

through as many of those things as I could.
That's what season 10 is about. So there are no like big
structural changes really. Otherwise, we'll talk about it,
but it's a lot of small, smallerstuff that adds up hopefully
into a sense of satisfaction andappreciation for the Super users
because that's what it's all about for this season and always

really couldn't do it without you guys.
So that said, you already know push notifications is a big part
of Season 10. So I did spend a majority of my
time on push notifications and specifically a majority of my
time on push notifications for Apple.
So literally had to buy a new laptop just for doing that.

Had to learn a couple new languages just for doing that to
get the push notifications working in the Apple iOS App
Store app, right. So that was a big part of it.
You already have seen that you got that present early Christmas
in September. Yes.

All right, so that's so that's the intro.
This is all about super user requests.
Try to do as many of those as I possibly could.
What else is new? Before we open up the platform,
before we start talking about technical stuff, let's talk
about a couple of other things. First of all, we're not even

majority of the population doesn't care about Channel 3

do it. That's why we that's why we make

money on on Channel 3 stuff, as you know, it sells in like small
batches, but it's more for you guys and it's also so that we

doing for youth esports in the city of Cincinnati.
This fall, the city of Cincinnati is putting on an
esports league for Super Smash Bros and Channel 3 is helping
out. So basically this is a thing

that I helped propose to them. And what we're going to do is we
picked eight different Cincinnati Rec center locations
and we're going to form teams, at least one team in each
location. And then we will have regular
season matchups for those teams against each other with coaches

and, you know, scoring and all that stuff all managed within
Channel 3. And then we'll have a finals
with all the we're going to havetwo different conferences, they
come together and then we have aa bracket and everything team
based Super Smash Bros E sports league in the city of
Cincinnati. I'm so excited for this, honored
that I get to be a part of it. And Channel 3 will be the

foundational tech that will be used to run those leagues.
So it's very exciting. It's going to be cool.

that I'm a little bit nervous about that I think could have
some consequences. But we shall see.

bunch of servers and it just handles it right.
However, just whenever you change over to a new server, you
kind of have some bugs that you got to work through this, which

everything. If you go to your settings,
notifications, everybody should have sort of a similar message.

Now, whether you're on web, Android or iOS, it should say
all set on this device. If you have them turned on, you
can turn on notifications on your device.
So if you're in App Store version on iOS, you go into your
settings and then you can go to the app and turn notifications
on and off across the entire application.
Same on Android. I think Android is a little

tougher for me to test. So today is like the big, big
test time for Android. Let me know.
You should get this message and you should be able to toggle
these things on, on and off on Android.
And before on iPhone, you couldn't turn off the specific
types of notifications. Now you can also on web you can.

browsers are similar. You got notifications here.
You can turn those on and off. They should all use the same
technology now and you should beable to get them in the

That was one of the most requested things right from

One thing that was requested, and this is so specific, but I
love it. QMO was like, can we go back to
the way tag lines used to work where they were like solid

Ray and Dan have have been seeing this for weeks as well
and they like it as well. But check out this tagline.
Now they are instead of you remember before it was like a
border with like blue text. Now it's got that background and
it's got the shit like sort of gradient.

I know this is such a small thing.
This is like a niche thing that super users would care about and
nobody else. But now tag lines look filled in
like this and they sort of have that 3D texture.
I think it's cool. I'm excited about it, but again,
just for super users, just for super users.

thing actually throughout the site, you'll see that, you know,
all over tag lines. One of the other things in that
wishlist quest that surprised methat people were asking for all
over the place was I don't want to lose my spot in the feed.
Now the solution for this may not be perfect so we can work on

this with your feedback, but right now as I'm scrolling
through this, it is going to save my view of this feed

OK, so see that it moves me right down to the exact same
spot where I was when I clicked on.
We feel right? That's why you get this get new
post button because it's going to refresh this feed as if it's
brand new. That's what it used to do.
Now it's taking you to where youwere in the feed and allowing
you to continue scrolling. But now you click this button

and it'll refresh this entire feed.
I'm hearing some defects about where the placement of this get
new post button are, and hit me with that because we can work on
that. We can work on the placement and
man, this is so slow. This is unacceptably slow.

server finely tuned. All right, so feed cache, that
is feed cache. So whenever you leave, whenever
you go to any other page, whenever you come back to the
home, it will take you to where you were in the feed and it will

put that get new post button at the top, mobile, desktop,
anything, it'll take you right back to where you were.
If you are already on the home page and you click home, it's
the same as get new posts. It'll completely refresh that
whole feed. OK, Feed cache, remembering
where you were in the feed that was that was I think the most

requested item on that, on that wish list thing.
All right, There was a lot of stuff in the wish list about
filters, actually filters and we're making things consistent
throughout the site, just like simplifying and making things
work in a similar way. So if I go into all events,

there are now event types and Ian specifically was like, can
we filter on those event types and and you can't.
So now there are filters on the events page.
It didn't even used to be there.So you can go in here and say,
show me all of the E sports events and and the filters are
always the same. It's just like this.

Show me all of the E sports typeevents.
And again, the type of event is like this little bubble here.
So there are events that you canattend.
There are events that you can watch like a show.
There are highly anticipated releases that you may want to
have an eye on. But I just clicked on esports

This is a subtle thing, but it didn't exist before.
But you'll now see a filter summary when you filter things,
not just on events, but all overthe place.
So it's telling me I'm looking at events type esports.
I mean, we should always add that, but now we have it and you

then you can filter again. Like show me all Rocket League E
sports events, right? This is just an example on
events page, but these filters just like this exist all over
the place, including on list, which was another thing that was
requested. Somebody said I want to be able

right? So filters not created let me
see all of the lists that I havenot created that are the most
popular, multiple purchases and hated.

Something that has been asked for since day one is the

are a decent amount of posts on Channel 3 about Fortnite.
Ironically, Brian McGinnis is one of the most frequent posters

post. So what I would recommend Brian
do is go in here to Fortnite. I believe I see a crown in the
number one because I'm an admin,but you should still see a
button here. If you click on that button,
you'll get a context menu and you can go in here and you could
say edit. Oh, that's just because I'm an

admin. Copy link that should exist for
most things. And then this whole section down
here is new. You can mute Fortnite, show
less, normal, show more, or subscribe.
First of all, if you mute Fortnite posts about Fortnite or
Fortnite is tagged will not showup on your home feed above the

fold in the the new posts and below the fold as well and in
the in the feed unless you filter.
So if you're, if you're sorting through your feed and you're
like, show me the top posts of all time and you apply filters,
it will show those still 'cause it doesn't want to like obscure
that those results that you filter.

or on the quest page and so forth yet.
But for now, that's what mute does.
Show less will significantly reduce that game's appearance
above the fold on your on your home feed.

run and it's going to say have there been any posts about that
game in the past like 2 minutes that you haven't seen yet and it
or you haven't been notified about yet and it will send you a

It was kind of ugly and confusing.
Now everything has collapsed into the context menu.
So if you are an admin you have edit, new quest, new event,
everyone else gets copy link andthen you can mute a club, show

less, normal show more or subscribe to that club just like
you can for games. If you subscribe to a club just
like games, it will it'll send you a notification when there is
a post in that club and the the request.

If you're an admin, you want to get notified of posts in your

automatically subscribed to the club for which they are an
admin. So when you get added to that
role admin, this will change automatically to subscribe.
You can override it and change it if you want, but when you get

chat bubbles for DMS, for group messages and for match chats.

Racing event and you are a club admin, when you are on the
results page, check this out. As a club admin, you can specify

your club. So if your club has tag lines,
you can pick those from here andthen when you disperse the XP
for that event, it will automatically give those tag

currently. I think for the for the clubs
and and we we can't overdo it. Eventually we will have like

one spot. So now if you go to the filters
on the homepage under your activity, if you click the reply
button here, it will show you only the post that you commented

You can filter to your heart's content, but that's an option
