May 31, 1985, marks one of the darkest days in Barrie’s history. Barrie’s own Jason Helmond is back at it again—raising funds and awareness for the Terry Fox Foundation by shaving his head at the Razors of Hope event. A proud Special Olympian and long-time Terry Fox supporter, Jason is bringing his infectious energy and passion to this year’s event once more, joined by his friend Patrick Scott.
The Razors of Hope event takes place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Barrie City Hall. Everyone’s invited to stop by, donate, and maybe even get a trim in support of cancer research. It’s community spirit at its finest, and a great way to give back.
