Speaker 1 (00:06):
I had a gentleman send me an email, and he
sent me a news clipping from a newspaper in East Texas.
It's called the Polk County Enterprise. And I don't really
know if me narrating these news articles is a copyright
issue or not, but I'm gonna go ahead and do that,
And if anyone from the Polk County Enterprise has anything

(00:30):
to say about they can email me. And I have
a problem with it, I'll take the video down. It's
not a big deal, but this event was reported to
happen in San Jacinto County. Here's the story. The story
is written by Andrea Whitley, but the title of the
story is Bigfoot Out and About in San Jacino. AMID

(00:51):
COVID COVID nineteen has covered the front page of the
newspapers across the country. It has, however, not stolen the
thumb under of one of San Jacinto County's most popular residents, Bigfoot, Yes, Bigfoot. Recently,
I was contacted by a good friend who also happens
to be a detective nearby. Normally, our conversations start out

(01:15):
with basic information and facts revolving around a crime or crash,
but not this time. I picked up my cell phone
to answer his call, which came at approximately two thirty am,
and I answered, still halfway asleep, to hear my detective
friend ask me what I was doing fishing? I was fishing,

(01:35):
equipped back, with more sarcasm than I intended, What do
you think I was doing? Is something wrong with you?
Are you okay? Wait? Did something happen to my kids,
my mother, sister, or husband or dog. I quickly did
a brief checklist in my head to insure myself that
all was right in my world. Moms at home, my

(01:56):
sister is somewhere with her new boyfriend, and my children
are sleep in my bed with me, which means my
husband is somewhere in the house after being booted out
of our bed by the children, who, although at eighteen
and nineteen years of age, insist on piling up in
my bed because it's more comfortable. I glanced down at
the floor and there was my dog, and beside him

(02:18):
was my husband, wrapped in my little pony blanket on
the floor. Side note, I need to take a photo
of him and the macho blanket he's covered with in
case anyone should ever doubt his manliness. Okay, mental checklists done,
and I caught my breath. No one had been hurt
or died or required any type of medical attention. So

(02:41):
what now, Why are you calling me this late? I asked.
The story he related to me could best be described as, well,
never mind, there's no description for something like this. Law
enforcement officers have a special place in my heart, and
I like the mind of an investigator. I like how

(03:02):
they look at the facts. I've always looked to the
police officers and the FBI agents and investigators when I
had things I could not make sense of. Have a
deep respect for them. Most of the time. My hero
officer began to tell me a story that I was
related to me by any other individual I would not
have believed. I will spare you the mundane details and

(03:25):
I'll get right to it. Apparently, two men that are
both high in authority within law enforcement circles decided to
take a drive down some country back roads. It was
a quiet night, and the two men just wanted to
enjoy a brief reprieve from the bad guys before beginning
their reports. Andrea listened to me. You know me, right,

(03:48):
he said, yes, I replied, you know I always tell
you the truth. Right. Uh huh, I replied no to self.
This is not going to be good. When a police
officer sure begins a conversation with you like the one above,
it is never good. The cliff Notes version of what
happened is as follows. Decorated veteran officers looking for a

(04:13):
peaceful ride in the country. Since there are no donut
shops nearby, decorated veteran officers grab a cup of coffee
and pile into one of the unmarked SUVs and they
hit the road. Officers hang a left turn off the
main road and take a drive down a dirt road nearby.
And as they make their way down the dirt road,

(04:33):
traveling deeper into the thicket, the driver can see the
form of what appears to be something crossing the road,
and it was something big. My thoughts immediately went to
whoever was crossing the road. The officer who was driving said,
you don't have the luxury of thinking that the form
was anything good once you've been in this business long enough.

(04:55):
Immediately my thoughts went to drugs or kidnapping, a robbery,
or worse. There was no reason that anyone should be
out on that road at that time of night. And
alone at that With their radars and keen sense of
danger now high on alert, the two men looked at
each other and without saying a word, they both began

(05:16):
filing every detail of what they saw, heard, and felt
into a mental lock box. My partner and I have
worked together for over ten years, one officer told the
Sun was seen to news times. We know each other's
actions and even expressions. That when I looked at my partner,
I knew our evening was about to get crazy. And

(05:38):
crazy is putting it mildly. As they approached the area,
when they initially saw whoever or whatever it was crossing
the road, the hares on the back of their necks
stood up. I call it f b C or full
body chills. The partner, who was in the passenger side said,
it's a sixth sense that we all have. It is

(06:01):
a strange feeling of being on the edge and calculating
every step in every move. It is scary, and if
any member of law enforcement tells you that they don't
get scared, then they do not need to be in
this line of work, because fear keeps you alive. It
had been only approximately fifteen to twenty seconds prior when

(06:23):
the men had witnessed what they described as a really
tall man dart across the road into the woodline. As
they got closer, there was no sign of anything or anyone.
As both men began to take a collective deep breath
of relief, their error was once again stolen when they
stepped out of the suv. I feel like I should

(06:44):
give you a rundown of my education and training before
I tell you what happened next. I have seen a
lot in my time in law enforcement, as has my partner,
he said. We have always been able to connect the
dots and timeline of a crime or case based on evidence,
and that's what we rely on. But in this case,

(07:06):
I don't even know where or how to begin. The
investigator sat across from me in a conference room at
the station, and until this moment, they both had been
at ease, maybe a little apprehensive, but nothing out of
the ordinary. It was when they reached this point in
their tail that everything changed. Both officers began to show

(07:30):
unmistakable signs of anxiety and unrest. One began tapping his
leg up and down rapidly. His face turned that shade
of red that a person only gets when he or
she is facing a frightening or an embarrassing situation. The
second officer, up until a moment ago, was very relaxed,

(07:50):
began clicking his pen up and down, and eventually began
to pace around the conference room. Just like police's officers
are taught to read body language, journalists like myself were
trained in the same manner. It becomes second nature to
rely on a person's actions rather than their words, and

(08:10):
what I was witnessing in front of me was textbook
fear and anxiety. Up until this moment, I had been relaxed,
but as the officers began to tell me the rest
of this story, I too began to fall victim to
pen clicking and leg shaking. The seasoned officers began to
tell me how as they were getting back into the

(08:32):
cab of their SUV, they both heard what can only
be described as a primal scream. It gave me chills,
and for me to get chills, that's saying something, one
officer said. The two men explained that they began taking
steps backward toward the pickup and heard the scream even louder.

(08:52):
Being a career law enforcement officer, I knew no one
was going to believe me. So I grabbed my phone
and I hit record, and I was able to capture
whatever the heck this thing was on audio as it screamed,
he said. The officer allowed me to listen to whoever
or whatever was making the sound. And as long as
I have been in this business, there isn't a lot

(09:14):
I haven't heard that I could not pinpoint the source. Well,
make that journalist zero something scarier than fiction one. As
we continued talking and trying to find a rational explanation
of what could make that kind of sound, the officers
continued their story. We had made it back to the vehicle,

(09:36):
and by this time we had one goal, get the
heck out of there. We both climbed into our seats
and were preparing to get out of dodge when we
heard that scream again, and this time it was louder,
and it was closer, and it sounded as if it
would shattered glass. I began to back up and turn around.
The road we were traveling was narrow, and it took

(09:59):
some skill from me maneuver without ending up in a ditch.
As I backed up and got us going in the
right direction, I saw it, We saw it. The detective said.
Both men agreed. As they were trying to turn around
and leave, the headlights of their vehicles shined on what
can only be called a si squatch, or better known
as bigfoot. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, and if

(10:23):
you print my name in this article, I'll have no
choice but to call you a liar, the detective laughed uneasily.
The partner, who had not said much up until this point,
made eye contact with me and described the creature as
being approximately seven feet tall, with long arms and broad
shoulders and strong. Doesn't sound too bad, that is, until

(10:46):
he proceeded with his description of the creature. He was hairy,
he was covered from head to toe with dark grayish
colored hair. His features looked like they had been etched
out with a chisel, had a sharp jawline, and he
was just so big. I've seen criminals, and I've seen guerrillas,
and I've seen everything in between, but I cannot say

(11:09):
that I ever encountered anything like this before, explained the
second officer. The two men both recall that one of
the most fearful traits of the creature was that he
had yellow eyes. His eyes just poured into you, one said,
that's the only way I know to describe it. It

(11:30):
took only seconds for the creature to disappear into the
thick wilderness. He was there and then he was gone,
just like that. You would think something as large as
this thing would not be able to move quickly, but
he literally soared. I watched him take no more than
two or three steps, and he was gone. After hearing
the officer's tail and listening to it again, I began

(11:53):
to dig into a little history of San Jacinto County,
and it's an elusive primate. Over the past seventy years,
I have come across numerous articles of residents who have
come face to face with this creature. Although each collection
differs slightly in detail, I'm certain of one thing. Sanwacinto

(12:14):
County is home to some of the best people around,
and it is also home to bigfoot doubt. As you may,
and I can completely understand the inclination to do so,
it is my belief that there is something beyond the pines.
I followed the facts, and I interviewed and reinterviewed witnesses

(12:35):
trying to come to a logical conclusion, and after hours
of study and research, the only thing I can confirm
with certainty is that San Jacinto County is home to
something quite unusual. It was a cold Halloween evening in
the desert. Two gentlemen had just traveled halfway across the

(12:56):
country to join me on an outing they hopefully would
never forget. In the end, it would be a life
changing evening for both of them. They were both in
their late twenties and were lifelong friends. Though they had
grown up and done everything together, only one of them
was a believer. Because of their strong friendship, I didn't

(13:20):
understand how their beliefs about aliens and bigfoot could be
so different, you know, as our beliefs are largely determined
from our experience as an environment, so without always being
the same with them, you could call me surprised. It
was nine pm and our destination was twenty miles into

(13:40):
the middle of the desert, so we climbed into my
vehicle and set off through town. During the drive, I
asked them both questions to help me get to know
them a bit better. Mostly I was curious about why
the skeptic agreed to the expense of flying across the
country on his buddy's quest into the un I never

(14:01):
really got a straight answer, so I left it at that.
I did learn that it took a lot of convincing
for the skeptic to come along with us. That night,
the moon was full and bright, lighting up the driveway
in front of us. Okay, we're here, I said. My
two guests opened their doors and looked around outside. So

(14:23):
this is the famous ranch, asked the skeptic. Yep, I replied,
it's been abandoned for many years now. I was at
the back of the truck going through bens of equipment
for items that we'd need, and I called them over
and handed them warm winter jackets. Put these on. It's
only going to get colder tonight, I said. I also

(14:45):
handed each of them granola bars and a bottle of water,
as well as a flashlight. Okay, you guys ready, I asked.
They both nodded their heads. I proceeded to lead them
up the dirt road to an old lock gate bearing
a no trespassing sign, where I proceeded to give them
a lay of the land and go over what I

(15:06):
plan for them before I lead you to the back
of the property, I said, I want to share some
stories with you. Take this gate, for instance, it's always locked.
One evening, a young couple noticed from a distance it
appeared to be unlocked, and as they approached to get
a better look, the gate mysteriously opened wide, as if

(15:27):
inviting them in. During another visit, a man rested up
against the gate while the group he was with talked,
and suddenly he was thrown back away from the gate,
as if someone pushed the gate with a tremendous force
from the other side. Understandably, he didn't go near the
gate again. Both men stepped back away from the gate

(15:49):
and looked it over. I'm sure they were wondering if
I was trying to pull their leg. It's also not
uncommon to hear footsteps approaching the gate from the other side,
but you cannot see anyone. We've also had those invisible
people out here walking around our groups and vehicles. Just then,

(16:10):
all three of us felt a cold chill as the
wind picked up. We zipped up our coats even higher,
and they commented on how they were glad to have
the jackets. They never thought it got so cold in
the desert. The believer asked, is there something special we
need to do to make contact? I mean, I've been
asking my thoughts for a sign or something that they're

(16:32):
here with us, But I'm not getting an answer. I
believe something will happen, but I'm not picking up on anything.
I said. I know most people feel seeing as believing,
and therefore they always want to see a sign. But
then I suggested that they not rely on their sense
of vision. Instead, they should be open to other senses

(16:53):
like touch, smell, and hearing. For the next ten minutes,
they ask about all the things they had heard about
the ranch and if they'd really happened. As I pointed
out where each of those events took place, an unexpected
feeling came over me. Did you guys feel that? I asked?
What do you mean? One said, well, are you still colder?

(17:15):
Do you feel like it's suddenly seventy degrees? They laughed, Yeah,
you're right. I laughed with them, and the three of
us unzipped our heavy jackets, and it was no longer
in the thirties, and we welcomed the change. There's something
else happening, I added. Do you feel comfortable like we
could stand here talking all night? You don't need to

(17:37):
sit down or go to the bathroom. Yeah, said the believer.
My legs aren't feeling so stiff, and my back feels relaxed.
Mine too, said the unbeliever. At that point, I said,
you guys, stay here for a minute. They watched as
I walked slowly back up the road towards the vehicle,
then stopped and took a few steps backward and a

(18:00):
few steps forward, a few steps back, and then extended
my arm out in front of me. When I returned,
I said, I'll explain that in a minute, but first
I want each of you, one at a time, to
do what I just did. Walked slowly, being very aware
of the temperature, the silence, and that there is currently
zero wind blowing on us. As you walk, do so

(18:24):
until you feel the wind and cold, and then stepped
backwards out of that cold, and then forward into the cold.
They looked at each other and then back at me
as if I were crazy. Trust me, I said, with
a smile. The believer went first his friend and I
stayed at the gate and watched as he did as instructed.

(18:46):
He came back smiling. I put my finger up to
my lips as if asking him not to say anything. Okay,
it's your turn, I said to the skeptic. He walked
past his friend and ended up stopping at the same point.
Is us some thirty feet away? What is this? He asked?
While walking back. I pointed up at the sky and

(19:07):
asked them if they could see any airplanes flying overhead
or any satellites. Can you hear anything such as wind, insects,
or coyotes, I asked them. They both said no and
asked what that meant. I answered with a question, have
you heard of people that have had bigfoot encounters saying
that everything around them went suddenly quiet? First, yeah, they

(19:31):
both answered, I replied, that's what is happening right now,
only you're noticing more of the finer details. And then
I continued, For example, when some people report the strange
in sudden silence, it's oftentimes followed up by an equally
sudden but terrifying scream or crash of a tree knock,

(19:52):
forcing them to quickly leave the area. They may even
see the creature at that moment in their life concern
with their safety, and they don't really pay attention to
the finer details like you just experienced. Neither of you
are in that fight or flight mode. This phenomenon happens
so often out here you might even expect it, I finished,

(20:16):
Has it really happened to you before, asked the skeptic, Yeah,
many times, in fact, now, I continued. However, the details vary.
For instance, it's typically reported as a prelude to a
Bigfoot encounter, but I've had it happen during other activities,
not just with Bigfoot. While people report the sudden silence

(20:38):
as if the wind and all living things in the
forest collude to go quiet at the same time, my
experience has been that it's more like a giant, invisible
bubble which descends upon us, and within that bubble reality
can be different for the people inside it. Well what
do you mean exactly, asked the believer. Well, it's are

(21:00):
to explain, but you both have to just experience what
I did. That you walked over there and found the
edge of something. Here within the something, it is currently
warm and comfortable. Now outside the invisible something, we all
felt the same cold and wind, didn't we? They nodded
in agreement. Think about this for a moment, I added.

(21:23):
If the forest goes silent during a Bigfoot encounter, how
far does that experience extend? I mean, does it go
out over the entire planet or to the nearest city,
and why is that? It's like one of those things
people don't think about. So what if all that activity
happens under a sort of invisible dome or a bubble,

(21:45):
so that only those who are supposed to experience it do.
It's like we had this experience here at the gate,
and people over the vehicle didn't. How can that be?
Just then, the invisible something which descended over us began
to lift, and the cold wind returned. We all felt it,
and we looked up and we could once more see

(22:08):
airplanes flying overhead, and we heard Coda is shipping in
the distance. You see what I mean? I told them.
Do you believe that warmth and comfort we were just
experiencing was felt by everyone in town? Or was it
just us? And I bet people in town could see
and hear those airplanes overhead while standing here under this

(22:28):
invisible something we couldn't, that is until it lifted. Well,
I guess that makes sense that it was just over us,
said the believer, As it was like it came and went.
The skeptic added, and we found the edge of it
over there exactly, I replied. The people who used to

(22:49):
live here once said that while in the yard behind
the house. One person saw two dinosaurs back there by
the trees, and when she yelled to the other person,
who was standing about twenty feet away, they didn't hear
her yelling their name or see anything unusual. The bubbles
can be as small or large as needed. I've even

(23:10):
felt the edge of something like this much larger around
in a city where I drove through it to get
inside as it were, from north, and then again while
leaving to the west. But that story's for another time.
We've got more to do tonight, I told them. Let's
head around back, I said, while illuminating a trail with
my flashlight. Five minutes later, we crested the top of

(23:34):
the hill, which allowed us to view the abandoned home.
Before we reached the backyard, and we were stopped in
our tracks by the sound of something very large stomping
on the ground, and it was grunting and breaking branches
in the trees ahead of us. It was almost like
something large was stuck in the trees and was trying
to get out. Adding to that strangeness, not one of

(23:57):
the trees moved or swayed. With all the racket take place.
This is turning out to be a fun Halloween for
you guys, isn't it, I asked, What is it? Said
the skeptic. Let's wait and see if it makes its
way into the openaar replied. Normally we wouldn't be able
to see much at night, even from the elevation of

(24:17):
the hill, but the moon was full and lit up
the entire desert below. The crashing and branch snapping sounds
continued for a minute, and then they stopped. And that's
when the three of us hiked down the hill toward
the grove of trees. But as we walked around to
the backside, we could tell that was where the sounds

(24:37):
had originated, but nothing was there. In fact, there were
no broken branches or tree limbs on the ground anywhere.
So what just happened, asked the believer. The only thing
I can think of is that a sasquatch might have
been back here. Why do you say that, asked the unbeliever. Well,
this property has had bigfoot activity, as reported by the

(25:00):
former homeowner. In fact, she reported that her first encounter
happened in a similar manner, but I don't know where
on the ranch it took place. Before that, she didn't
know she had bigfoot hanging around. She said that she
heard loud sounds from branches being broken, stomping sounds, etc.

(25:20):
Just like what happened here with us. She would later
have many encounters with a female si squatch, so she
naturally made the connection. I will add that I've brought
people out here before, and when talking about the area's
female siequatch, we receive vocalizations and other noises from various
parts of the ranch. Once we heard the noises coming

(25:43):
from the parking area where we part. When we returned
to the vehicle, we did look for footprints, but we
couldn't find any. The three of us stayed a bit longer,
just talking and looking around before heading back to the
lock gate. That's when things took a turn for the pair.
Are normal. I heard one of the guys unexpectedly say

(26:04):
I have this compelling urge to climb over the gate
and go up to the house. And when I turned
to see who said it, it was the non believer,
the skeptic. What I responded, Yeah, I can't explain it.
It's a really strong feeling that I can't shake, he said.
His friend, the believer asked, what do you mean a

(26:24):
feeling that you can't shake. It's like I'm being called
or beckon to the house, he answered, and we watched
as the man made his way up the drive to
the house. We both remained silent, and we turned our
hearing sensitivity to the maximum in case we needed to
go after him. I couldn't help but recall all the

(26:45):
instances where someone or something made it very clear that
they didn't want people on their side of the fence.
The simple fact he was allowed to make it to
the house was curious to me, to say the least.
Neither his friend or myself appeared to have been invited
in so to speak. A few minutes later he returned
and we moved away from the gate and back to

(27:07):
the vehicle. So what happened did you see anything? Ask
his friend? Yeah, what happened? To added well. All the
way up to the house, I continued to feel the
strong need to keep going and that I would be
all right. When I reached the front of the house
and was about to step up into the porch, I
heard noises coming from inside the house. What sort of noises?

(27:29):
His friend asked. What sounded like something fell over onto
the floor. And then I heard someone running away from
the window. It was like someone was inside and watching
me approach the house. As soon as I moved toward
the porch like I was going to go in, they
ran away to hide. That's when I asked, did the
running sound like an animal or a human? Like an

(27:51):
adult or a child. It wasn't very loud, he said,
it was quick, like short steps. Maybe it was a child.
It was definitely on two feet. What did you go inside?
Ask his friend. No, something said that I'd gone far enough,
But I did look inside the window. What did you see?

(28:12):
I asked, Well, it was dark, but I could make
out a kind of bar like in a saloon, with
pop bottles on it, as well as toy cars on
the floor under the window. Do you still feel anything
like that? Urged to go to the house, ask his friend.
Now it's gone, he said. Before we packed up, I

(28:33):
asked them both a question. You guys seem to know
a lot about the ranch. Have you ever heard the
story about the boy on the scooter? They both shook
their heads. Now what is it? Asked the believer. I'll
tell you the story and then we'll drive back home.
I said, it's getting pretty late, as the story goes

(28:53):
two guys drove out here during the day. About a
mile from the house, they noticed a young boy walking
along the side of the road and he was carrying
a scooter. The guys in the car thought it was weird.
They were in the desert, at least twenty miles from
any paved surface, so where could he be going on
that scooter. Well, when they pulled up to the boy,

(29:14):
they asked if he was okay or if he needed
a ride. The boy said yeah, he was fine, and
that the scooter was broken, so he would like to ride. Well,
where are you going, they asked, going up to the house,
and he pointed in the direction they were headed. Well,
this made their hair stand up because they knew nobody
lived there and all the stories they had ever heard

(29:36):
about the place were strange and paranormal. They were also curious,
so they opened the door and they let the boy
in the car. They stopped at the same lock gate
and asked the boy if it was where he was going,
and he said yes, and he got out. He looked
back at the guys and invited them up to the
house for some soda pop and to play with some cars.

(29:59):
That was too much for them, so they declined, and
they let the boy go. They watched in silence as
he crawled under the gate and made his way up
to the house. It's interesting that you saw pop bottles
on the counter and also toy cars, not to mention
hearing the sound like a child running through the house.
They both looked at me in disbelief. You're kidding, right,

(30:22):
asked the believer. No, that's a report to guys made
of their experience, so unless they lied, it could be true.
Let's get out of here, I added, it's already midnight
and I'm cold. At this point, you might think that
this is all a bit much and probably not true,

(30:42):
but I assure you this all happened, as well as
what I'm about to conclude with the events of their
evening did not end there. While I was at work
about a month later, I got a call from the skeptic.
He was upset and he wanted me to tell him
what happened to his friend. I had no idea what
he was talking about. He hasn't come home. He told

(31:06):
me we were supposed to fly back on the same flight,
but after that night at the ranch, he told me
that he wanted to extend his stay a bit longer,
and that he'd fly home later. And then he dropped
a bombshell. Did he tell you what happened after we
got back to the hotel that night? No, I answered,
I haven't seen or heard from him since I dropped

(31:28):
you guys off. What happened? He returned to our hotel.
We were getting into bed while remarking about some of
the stuff that happened at the ranch. I was in
my bed, which was closest to the window, and he
was into his, next to the bathroom. Suddenly we both
heard what sounded like some sort of humming ship descending

(31:49):
and stopped just outside the window by my bed. He
paused for a moment, and then he told me it
was terrifying and there was no way in hell I
wanted to see what was going to happen. I wanted
no part of it, he exclaimed. He was still obviously
upset about it. So what happened? Then? I asked? I

(32:11):
put my head under the blanket, and I refused to look,
saying out loud, oh hell no. Then the next morning,
my friend told me that two beings from the craft
had floated through the closed window and across the room
to visit with him. It was then he decided to
stay behind, and that's when he asked me again, so,

(32:32):
what the hell happened? He seemed different in some way,
and I got the feeling that we could no longer
be friends. I replied, I really have no idea. Have
you heard from him as he called you? No. The
last thing he said was that he wanted to stay
behind for a while, longer to explore his spiritual journey,
and he would return in a couple of weeks. But

(32:54):
he has not returned. I didn't know what to say
to the man, other than to assure him that if
I saw his friend or heard from him, I would
be sure to have him call home. I never did
see him again, and that was also the last time
I heard from his friend back home.
