63 year old, Rosa Elena Hernandez was enjoying the five block walk back to her home. She had enjoyed lunch with a friend, and she looked forward to stretching out her legs.
Rosa noticed a man dressed in black coming toward her. She knew most of the people in the neighbourhood but wasn’t necessarily alarmed by the stranger. She had walked these streets for four decades.
As the two crossed paths, the stranger erupted into a frenzy, savagely attacking Rosa.
Rosa would have no chance to avoid the threat she didn’t even know existed. She would have no way to protect herself.
