What Would Kate Do? Direct a film! Goodbye June or Goodbye, June ? Bringing people together.
Excited to be back for another episode of What Would Kate Do. We have a most amazing guest and interviewer: Anne from Germany. Anne & I met because of our interest in the Liverpool Football Club, but as we talked more, we discovered another even greater mutual interest: Movies, their stories, and that our favorite actress is Kate Winslet. One of Anne’s passions is journalism, interviewing, & critical analysis, so we knew this would be a perfect opportunity to do an interview together. And it was so much fun!
We take a deep dive into the reasons for this podcast, what inspired Angie to start this podcast, how Kate inspired Angie to get back into acting, some acting related thoughts, and what are the goals of this podcast. We also talk about Goodbye June, Kate’s upcoming directorial debut, starring Kate, Helen Mirren, Andrea Riseborough, Toni Collette, Timothy Spall, and Johnny Flynn. Written by her son Joe Anders. We are SO EXCITED for this upcoming movie, released in select U.K. & U.S. theatres on December 12, 2025, and released on Netflix on December 24, 2025. As fans, we’ve noticed some exciting revelations based on the released pictures and story, & we share here!
Goodbye June starts at 53:20 (53 minutes, 20 seconds). We discuss why we’re so excited, the possible story, what might have been the inspirations, the potential messages, our hopes for the film, comments about the cast, seeing it the day it comes out, and more. And a special thank you to Toni Collette for sharing some BTS which may indicate that the title of the film could be “Goodbye, June”, and the differences in meaning with the comma in the title.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
