This podcast episode delves into the cinematic experience of "Ocean's Thirteen," a film that exemplifies the blend of humor and heist intricacies inherent in the Ocean's franchise. The discussion opens with a nostalgic reflection on the late Bernie Mac, whose comedic prowess is sorely missed, prompting an exploration of the film's characters and their relationships. We analyze the film's narrative structure, noting its similarities to its predecessor, "Ocean's Eleven," while acknowledging the entertainment value that persists despite its lack of depth. The hosts engage in a spirited debate regarding the effectiveness of the film's heist mechanics and the chemistry among the ensemble cast, highlighting both the absurdity and the charm of the screenplay. Ultimately, we arrive at a consensus that, while "Ocean's Thirteen" may not be a critical masterpiece, it remains an enjoyable viewing experience that lightens the mood and entertains audiences.

The other thing that thismovies, all these movies kill me
is Bernie Mack.

(01:06):
But man, we're in week two of September.
Brad Pitt movies.
And we're jumping right intoOcean's Thirteen, which was released
June 8, 2007.
It was written by BrianKoppelman, David Levian and George
Clayton Johnson.
It was directed by Steven Soderbergh.

(01:27):
Stars.
Let me get ready here.
George Clooney, Brad Pitt,Matt Damon, Elliot Gould, Ray Zifo,
Al Pacino, Adam Lazaro White,Don Cheadle, Eddie Jemison, Shallow
Kid, Casey Affleck, BernieMac, Scott Kong, Carl Reiner, Ellen

(01:47):
Barkin more and more and more.
And Eddie Izzard.
It's about Danny Ocean, whorounds up the boys for a third heist
after casino owner Willie bankdouble crosses one of the original
11.
Reuben Tishkoff.
Yeah, Matson, this was yourchoice, right?
Oh, man, what a freaking great movie.

(02:09):
People, people, people.
When we talk about movies thatI watch every so often, which as
we know is a rarity, theOcean's movies are right there towards
the top.
Number 12.
Or number 12.
The second one I rememberwatching when I had seen 11 and I
watched 12 and I was more confused.
I was like, what is happening?
This is like.

(02:29):
Because the ending and thewhole egg thing now when I'm older
and having watched it, Iappreciate it a lot more.
It's more witty humor than theother two and it connects really
well to number three and such.
But man, to me.
Ocean's Thirteen is number 11.
Just on some stage steroids.
And they knew they had a good formula.
They deviated in 12.
I was like, yeah, can we just, can we just go back to Vegas?

(02:51):
Can we just do best and let'sjust, let's just dick another casino
owner.
And getting Terry Benedict inon the act.
I'm like, damn enemy toFrenemy baby.
Like, let's just, let's let's go.
There's so many charactersfrom the like Mormon, not Mormon
twins to Basil to like, I'm.

(03:12):
I mean, I could just.
Oh, just all the, the synergy.
The Oprah Winfrey scene.
Like, like, it's just to thefive diamond guy that you're just
like, poor, poor guy.
Like just, just getting dickedand then makes the money.
Like he gets to Susan B.Anthony at the airport.

(03:33):
I know.
I, I just like all like the, the, to the, the guy always.
He's the name.
I do forget the.
He does all the tech stuff, but he's like.
He kind of looks like a mouseand he's always unconfident about
what he does.
And everybody just has theirpart and they play it, knows they
play it well.

(03:53):
The nose talks so like, youknow, like everybody's got their
thing and I just, I just love it.
This movie to me is a lot ofbits that are sewn together with
the.
A loosely based like reasoningat the end that they're working towards.
But man, you just can't helpbut love it.
Like, I love this movie.
Just feel good.

(04:14):
You're like, damn, I wanna letme be a part of a crew.
Like, let's do this.
They just make it feel believable.
It also makes robbing a casinolook enjoyable.
And like, like.
Sure.
And like, yeah, we wanted tosuspension, like, sure.
Some of the hardest places toprobably rob in the world.

(04:36):
Anybody likes their money, casinos.
I just like the movie.
Just makes me feel good.
And it's really well acted.
There's just good chemistry.
It's a fun subject.
And I thought they did itbetter than when they did it before
and happy to have watched it.
Yeah, this movie is.
It's quite the conundrum forme because I do enjoy it because

(05:03):
of the familiarity of it.
The actors that are in it, thecharacters are funny, the story's
fun, it's entertaining.
I do struggle with it from acertain perspective in that it's
not a very good movie.
Meaning it's just Ocean'sEleven on steroids.

(05:25):
And so for me, like, I waslike, when we.
And We've done Ocean's Eleven, right?
And Ocean's Eleven is one ofmy favorite movies, both the original
and the updated, newer version.
I say newer meaning it hadthis cast of characters.
Right.
Instead of the old cast of characters.
However, my problem, and thisis a me thing, because I realized

(05:47):
that I'm going against thegrain here by saying that by the
time we got to Oceans 13, Iwas like, okay, it's kind of like
Transformers 5, right?
Like, it's like, yes, it'sgonna make money because of who's
in it and what it is.
And it's interesting, but dowe really need it?
I think a better comparison iswhat's the one where.

(06:09):
With Mike Tyson and the tiger.
Oh, yeah, exactly.
It's the same thing.
Hangover.
Yeah, it's.
It.
And I can get that to an extent.
I just know why this hits my.
Like, per.
I know I'm.
I should just say 11 isbetter, but I just.
I liked 11 so much.
I. I still like 13.

(06:29):
Yeah.
And don't get me wrong, like, this is where the conundrum comes
in, right?
Like, I can set myself asideand go, I don't think this is a great
movie because it's just arepeat with a little bit of extra
stuff, which literally, thename implies, Right.
Every time they add a newperson, the number goes up and then.

(06:49):
But at the same time, it's enjoyable.
Do I have fun watching it?
Absolutely.
The only thing that reallygets me twerked in this movie, and
this is all three of them, isDon Cheadle's British accent is horrid.
Okay.
Like, his.
It's awful and it drives me crazy.
However, it's an enjoyable movie.
It's funny, it's in.

(07:09):
It's.
It's fun.
Like, I laugh, I giggle, havea good time.
But that.
That objective part of me goesthat it's just.
Yeah, it is what it is.
But I. I'm not saying it's a.
It's not fun.
I'm just saying from a filmperspective, it's.
It's just a repeat, which isokay because it works in what it's

(07:31):
trying to do, which was have agood time, bring back a huge cast
of characters that only cometogether because George Clooney makes
it happen.
And then, yeah, you.
You make money, which is the key.
Right.
So, yeah, there's my early on synopsis.
Then we can talk about it.
Alec, what about you, buddy?
I'm right in your camp.

(07:52):
Except I would extend it thatI don't think the Ocean's Movies.
Any of them are good movies.
But there's two things thatthey do that is a master class, and
it makes them enjoyable watches.
And the first one is thecharacter relationships.
Master.
You touched on this a little bit.
But the relationships of thedifferent characters have.
Are what make this movie.

(08:13):
Anytime you got Scott Khan andCasey Affleck, who are two actors
who shouldn't be put togetherat any point in time.
Fair.
But you're doing.
They're amazing.
Then you have, you know, MattDamon with pretty much anybody in
this film, and it's fantastic.
George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

(08:33):
I mean, that's what that'sbuilt around.
So the character relationshipsare what make it an enjoyable watch.
And then the second thing isthese movies do a fantastic job about
telling you exactly howthey're gonna pull off the heist.
Mm.
But in a way that you have noidea how the pieces go together.
They tell you pretty muchstart to finish what they're gonna

(08:57):
do, but it's in littlethrowaway lines or off to the side
or, you know, there's no actual.
Sit down and plan it out.
Because you have thesecharacter relationships going back
and forth with Brad Pitt andGeorge Clooney the most, where they
just finish each other'ssentences, but not really.
They just.
Huh.
Yeah.
And it.
And then when it all comestogether and wraps up, it's such

(09:21):
a beautiful painting of the heist.
And you can go back and seewhere everything that's happening.
Right.
Like, the one in this one thatgets me all the time is, you know,
having freaking Al Pacino walkdown and take the magnetron into.
Into Greco.

(09:42):
Yeah.
Right.
This.
This is the culmination of,like, seven separate different lines
that have no connection whatsoever.
Yeah.
But it all comes together inthis moment of pure brilliance to
where, you know, Willie bankis the object that's shutting us
down.
Sir.
Again, it's the system.

(10:03):
Yeah.
So by the.
When you get to the payoff,it's just so beautifully woven together.
That doesn't matter if this isa good movie or not a good movie,
because it's a master class inhow to wrap up a story.
Yeah.
I say the.

(10:24):
The phrase that.
Come on 11.
I probably say.
I know I say it a lot.
And when we game.
Sometimes it comes directlyfrom this movie.
Because I love that part whenthey're like.
And they're like, did you hit him?
Hit him harder.
Give these people a damnearthquake to get out here.
Like, this is just.
I mean, who would want to goat that point?
You're like, I always think ofthe scene.

(10:45):
It's the one like, blackjackdealer and she's like, dealing.
You can see her facialexpression, because you could.
She's like, what is going on?
Like, you know, when you workfrom, like, it's all algorithms and
everything.
It's.
You win.
You win when they.
They want you to, because yougot to win enough.
So doofuses keep coming toplay, but, yeah, who's gonna leave
that building?
You're like, bro, I'm up.

(11:05):
Like, and I love that theyactually did, like, they put the
graphic up and like, kind oftake you out of the movie and make
it look like a video game fora second.
But they.
They really drive the point home.
And to tack into what Alexsaid once.
I love this movie as all ofthem, but this.
I mean, it's just kind ofcontinuation when and how they use
music in these movies.
This movie, it.

(11:26):
They got that down.
They had that format becausewe just did a movie before where
they didn't use music.
And it was perfect.
This movie is like amasterclass, in my opinion, of a
well timed montage with musicand, like, driving the story forward.
I like it.
Like, everything I can thinkof, it's playing in my head right
now.
I can't do that one as well on air.
Like, you know, I love to dothat, but it's there.

(11:47):
Yeah.
Or like the one where I like.
Peter Gunn.
They do such a good job with that.
Yeah, no, I. I think, like, there's some really great dialogue
too in these movies that keepyou laughing and having a good time.

(12:08):
Like, trying to think of the.
The line like, that Clooneyhits what's his face.
So he's like, do you thinkhe'll actually fall for that?
Like, you did.
Like, it just like.
Like the look on his face.
Like, you know, it's just like.
Yeah.
Like, I love that.
Like, there's certain momentsin these movies, all of them, but

(12:30):
this one for sure.
Or the end where, like, seewhen I see you.
And then.
Yeah, they're like, look ateach other.
And, you know, they'rethinking like, this mother effort.
Like somebody now.
Like, all right.
Like, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And I think really good.
Or like the Shut it down.
It's.
Do I sound like I'm laughing, sweetheart?
Yeah, yeah.

(12:50):
Like, and I. I think I saidthis back when we did Ocean's Eleven
and we compared it to, like.
Like, I think this movie, theScott Khan steals all these movies
to me.
Like.
Like just some of the.
That he says and does, like,is just Hysterical.
And he's so random.
And I will say, as much as Ilove the twins, they.

(13:12):
They have my least favoritestoryline in this movie.
Like, because I'm like, I feellike the, the stupid manufacturing
place plant.
Like that whole storyline isso unnecessary to me.
Although I get it because it'sthese two characters, right?
They can't help themselves.
But at the same time, like,I'm just like, such a waste of time.

(13:34):
I like them when they're.
They with the five stardiamond guy though, when they.
They're back your things.
Well, I love that becauseScott Khan has even turned away.
Yeah, he's already dealt with them.
So he's just standing with hisback to him, not paying any attention,
but yelling at him over his shoulder.
Thanks.

(13:54):
It's hilarious.
Well, and I love the part too, like, where Casey, I feel like it's
the one dude's brother andhe's like, hang in there.
Whatever.
Hang tough.
Like that.
That's funny.
Jay, have you not referencedthe part that you should have a lot
of understanding with the, thecar sales apart with Frank?
I'.
That's, that's a JJ scenethrough and through right there.

(14:15):
For those that didn't know,Jay used to sell cars.
It's true.
I did.
Yeah.
No, I, I think there's theother thing that this movies, all
these movies kill me is Bernie Mac.
Man, I wish Bernie Mac wasstill around.
That's one of the funniest men alive.
Like when he's pitching the dominoes.
Oh, he's like, what you needus to do?
I need you to hike up yourskirt two weeks.

(14:37):
Bernie Mac is one of thegreatest comedians of all time.
And like, his character inthese movies is just.
Funny.
So you're like, okay, all right.
At least you just.
It's Vegas, baby.
Yeah, it's so good.
Like, I just.
Yeah, I love Bernie Mac so much.
But yeah, like these.
I don't know, I think I findmyself in 12 and 13, like having

(15:04):
moments where I'm watching itand I go, okay, like, yeah, I'm gonna
keep watching.
And yeah, it's funny, but canyou not smack me in the face with
the ridiculous?
Like the whole.
When they pull in TerryBenedict and you knew it was coming
back in the day when you hadlike the, the previews and you see
that they were.
He's 13, right?
So it's like, okay.

(15:27):
But at the same time, like, there's certain parts where I'm like,
oh, God, you're so heavy handed.
But that's the, the good part yet.
The flip side of that is thatthey don't shy away from the fact
that they're doing that.
Right.
Like, they're not.
They know what they're doing, and they're doing it on purpose.
And.
And I.
Even though I go, you like, Istill go, okay, it's funny.

(15:48):
It's a good movie.
But I just, like, I don't know.
I. I look back at how good thefirst one was, and so I'm like, okay,
I know why they just kind ofrebuilt it.
But I just, like.
Because I got away from thenumber 12.
Like, it's better than havingjust watched it.
I watched all of them actuallywithin, like, just literally past

(16:09):
two weeks.
And it's better than what Iremember it being, because I didn't
it, like, a while back.
But the whole Julie Robertsscene in that one just kills me when
she's literally playing herself.
Yeah.
And then Bruce Willis shows up.
I was like, all right, theyhad that down.
That was.
That was on lock.
But the rest of it.
Yeah.
But then they were like, Ithink we got to go back to the formula.
And you know why?
Because it was a great movie.
They had it, and they did alot of that.

(16:29):
It's just one of those whereit's like, I mean, did you have.
Did they have to make it again?
Probably not, but, you know, yeah, I'd rather them.
This one was a much better.
Let's continue this on.
Than a lot of the movies thatgot two or three.
But, like, all right, like,oh, for sure.
Like, I mean, I think there'senough entertainment value just in
the.
The story itself that it works right.

(16:50):
And it makes making the movie.
I actually don't mind 12,except for the weird father daughter
thing.
Like, that part gets weird tome and distracts from the rest of
what's going on and what makesthese movies fun.
So I know why they got backto, like, this formula.
I do laugh early on at thetongue in cheek.
Like, it's not their fight.
Because, like, the twoactresses that they're like, we're

(17:12):
good.
Like, we don't want to be inthis one.
Because otherwise you're likeOcean's 27 if you have everybody
in it.
But I did find that part, like, really funny early on.
Like, you have to address thefact that Julia Roberts and what's
her Face.
Gosh dang it.
Yeah.
Catherine Zeta Jones isn't in it.

(17:32):
So it's like, yeah, just leaveit alone.
It's not their fight.
Go away.
This is why they're not here.
But Yeah, I mean, ultimately, I.
This is a. I don't know.
This is such, like, I said, such a conundrum for me because,
like, my critical brain wantsto be like, this movie's terrible.
But, like, my fun movie brainis like, this movie's hysterical,

(17:53):
and there's some really greatparts to it, no matter the fact that
we're recycling a lot of thesame jokes and a lot of the same
things and things like that.
But I do love the inclusion ofthis poor bastard that gets, like,
mites and then rash and then, like, shitty food that makes him
sick.
And, like, dude, I don't careif you want a 11 million or not.

(18:13):
Like, in the moment.
I don't think it was worth it.
That's one of the things.
Was it worth it?
Like, he got, like, dude, itgot ugly for him.
Well, that.
That's also, like, the thingthat gets me is all the just throwaway
lines.
Because something that is sofunny is while they're talking about
what they're gonna do to him.
Yeah.
Like, Saul, who's the oldestin there, is, like, wouldn't do it

(18:35):
for 10 million, do it for 11 million.
And so they end up giving him11 million.
So.
Good.
And so it just shows that thenumber is completely arbitrary.
They don't care.
Yeah.
And it's just a throwaway thing.
Like, oh, okay, well, Saulsaid he'd do it for 11, so.
Saul.
Saul's the old guy.
Makes sense.
Yeah.
Saul's one that's got to gothrough all the weird every movie.

(18:58):
Like, he's the one that wouldknow what it's worth and not worth.
Yeah.
I like, too, that they takecare of.
Like, they're only after oneguy, usually one or two people.
Right.
And then the rest are like, weare sorry that we had to use you,
but we'll make it better.
And then I will say that MattDamon really, like, his character

(19:18):
Linus cracks me up in allthree of them.
But in this one, like, he's.
That.
This is his movie.
In my opinion, when it comesto that trio at the top of the list
of this cast, like, hefinally, like, comes, like, the whole.
In.
In the elevator with his dad, like, just cracks my up.

(19:39):
They're talking about the noseas he hands it back to him, how it's
like, this.
Not just a prop, but it'sbecome a character and it was necessary.
Like, just those silly throat.
And I'm not usually a fan of,like, throwaway lines, but, like,
that one, that wholeconversation as they're walking out
on the roof just kills me.
So, yeah, good stuff.
I like it.

(20:00):
I'm with you, dude.
But I don't know.
Like, the other thing thatmakes me laugh is as we're sitting
here talking about, I'm like, what else can I talk about with Ocean's
13?
Which then tells me, like.
And I.
It hurts that we're justcoming right off of Seven, which
has, like, more depth than theMariana Trench at this point, whereas
this movie has zero depth.

(20:21):
Like, it goes long, but it doesn't.
Has no depth whatsoever.
And so I'm like, what do weeven talk about besides the funny
lines and the goofy sceneswith the twins or with Linus or,
you know, the fact thatClooney and freaking Pit are always
calm and collected and justtalking through in their weird con

(20:42):
man way, but there's just nota lot of depth to the movie.
You know what I mean?
There's, like.
It is what it is, and it'sfunny and it's entertaining, but
that's about all you get.
Yeah.
So that's fair.
I don't think there's.
Yeah, yeah, it's enjoyable.
Go.
If you haven't seen it, watchthe others.

(21:03):
But you'll feel good.
It's.
It's a good one to watch afterwatching Seven.
Say that.
Fair.
I mean, that.
That.
That is fair.
I'll give you that.
I will say juxtaposition.
I think they could have done abetter job.
I don't know how to reallydescribe it because, you know, they're
supposed to be this crackcrew, right?

(21:25):
And you see that with the jobsthey pull through all three movies,
but then they make someboneheaded decisions.
Right.
Like the factories down in Mexico.
Out of everybody on the crew, who are you sending?
You're sending Turkish.
Like, you're saying Scott Khandown there.
You know, that it's not gonnabe good.

(21:47):
Yeah.
You know, versus.
Matt Damon's always the guywho has to, you know, play.
Play a character.
Right.
He's.
He poses as the Nevada GamingCommission in the first one.
Or he's.
He's always the guy who'slike, the official play type of a
person.
It's like, that's.
That's the wrong move.

(22:09):
Yeah.
And so it's every.
It's like every move they makeor in a way is like, the wrong one
and geared towards getting thebest response or the most enjoyable
response pretty much for the audience.
Yeah.
And so I.
It's.
It's weird one, because Ithink you could do a better job of

(22:31):
just setting it up.
Even if it was just likehaving Scott Khan be like, I'll go
to Mexico.
Because he always volunteersfor stuff and they never pick him.
Right.
They always.
So have him be like, I'll goto Mexico and just ignore him and
try and figure it out, or havesomething along those ways so you

(22:51):
can play it out a little bit better.
Because it's like, hey, yougot to go to Mexico and help your
brother out.
It's like, not going to end well.
Yeah, they're going to end upthrowing rocks over a fence.
We gotta break management.
They gotta stop treating uslike this way.
It's great.
It's great.
I. I will say to kind of yourpoint, though, on the flip side of

(23:13):
it, like, that's part of the.
What's the word I'm looking for?
Like, the.
I don't know.
It's part of the fun, maybe oflike, they're like, why would you
do that again?
You know, that's not gonna end well.
But then at the end, it alwaysfeels like, well, it's exactly how
it should have been and whatthey planned it for it to be.
But, you know, you're watchingthis go through all the weird.

(23:35):
You're like.
It's like in the first one, when the emp.
And he's like, we're nipped or whatever.
He's just this terrible accent.
Like, what?
And he's got to go through 10different ways of saying, we're purple.
Yeah, that's where we're.
Barney.

(23:56):
Oh, God.
Trouble.
Trouble.
His accent's horrid.
Anyway.
Well, like, yeah, so, I mean,it's part of, like, the.
The cuteness of the film islike, you know, they're gonna screw
everything up, but still haveit come out on top and it all work
out and seem like they plannedit and look like these geniuses.
But, yeah, interesting film.
Should we rate it and have itmaybe be one of the shortest ratings

(24:19):
we've ever done?
I don't know what more there is.
The.
Like, what are we gonna give it?
Yeah.
I feel like I'm Matt Damoningthis review at this point.
Like, just talking about.
For the sake of talking about it.
That's right.
All right, Matson, it's your movie.

(24:39):
I'm gonna give it a three.
Oh, I'm all invisible.
Let me come back here.
For our YouTube listeners, Ihad the blurry function on.
I'm gonna give it a three.
I think if I can't rememberwhat I rated Ocean's 11.
I probably gave that, like, afour and a half or a five or something
like that.
This movie is really fun.
It's enjoyable.
I like watching this movie.
I've seen it a good amount.

(25:01):
But if I had to pick between11 and 13, I. I'm going 11.
But this feels like acontinuation for me.
It's like they just decided, Idon't know, two years later that
they needed to run anotherheist and they did it.
Happy to have watched it.
Glad it was different than 12.
Like I said, if you just watch7 and you listen to us and you are

(25:22):
gonna watch this movie, yourspirits will be lifted.
So you can thank us for that.
I just love the synergy, lovethe music, love the scenery.
I love Vegas.
I, I lived there for a couple years.
I love going back.
I love the food, the vibe.
I think it's a fun town and Ithink they do a good job showing
that off.
I'm sure Vegas was happy thatthey made these movies because I'd

(25:44):
be curious.
I mean, people are goinganyways, but it made it look good.
Yeah, I'm sure there's always an.
There was always an influxafter one of these movies.
Good grief.
I'm gonna give this movie A3as well.
It's fun, it's entertainingfrom like a film making perspective.
Is it a good movie?
No, but it's entertaining andit's fun and you'll find enjoyment

(26:07):
out of it.
Unless you're a soullessperson that just doesn't enjoy funny
one liners and silliness andlike that, you know?
So I mean, and I think back on I.
The, the other problem thatthis movie will always have with
me is the comparison tool.
Because I think Ocean's Elevenis top notch.
It's really cool.
Both versions.
Love them.

(26:27):
And if you haven't listened toour episode, go listen to our episode
of Ocean's Eleven versus theItalian Job.
Whole different crew.
That was when Al, or that wasbefore Alec joined us.
That was back when Javier hadone of the greatest lines comparing
the two.
He's like, talk about Terry Benedict.
He's like, man, the villainsare a big thing.
He's like, you got a guy,Terry Benedict, that just sounds.
He goes.
And then you got Steve.

(26:50):
But anyway, go check thatepisode out.
But yeah, Ocean 13.
It's fun, it's enjoyable.
Give it a three.
Can't go wrong.
Maybe not the most rightdecision you'll ever make, but you
can't go wrong.
So there it is for me.
Alec, I have an opportunity.
I'm gonna take it.
I'm going to take Matson's manof the people crown.
I'm going to bring it back tome and I'm going to give it three

(27:11):
and a half.
I.
It's not a good movie, critically speaking, in any way,
shape or form.
Movie making, it is surfacelevel, like we talked about.
But the.
The two things that I talkedabout, I think they do really well.
I don't know if I can easilythink of a movie that does them better,

(27:35):
where you have thisrelationship building or the relationship
between characters just soseamless, so smooth, and then on
top of that, telling youexactly how they're gonna finish
off the movie.
But there's no way for you toput the pieces together because of
how convoluted this is.
But three and a half, theseare always just a fun watch.

(27:58):
So I've never been in a pointwhere someone's like, hey, we should
watch Ocean's Eleven.
I'm like, now we should.
Or Ocean thirteen.
Like, we really shouldn't.
And so, yeah, I'll give itthree and a half and I'll become
the new man of the people.
There you go.
I gotta say, I'm surprisedthat you outrated me on this movie.
I was very much one of themore probably on it.

(28:23):
I mean, I have to say itprobably, if it's hard to say it's
the most unexpected ratingyou've given.
That's probably not true, butcertainly top 10, probably top 5.
I was thinking, not expectingthat at all.
Feel like I need to break thismovie higher now because I'm like,
wow, didn't see that coming.
I gotta jump on that bandwagontoo, because I was seriously, like

(28:44):
back and forth between threeand three and a half.
And I was like, ah, do Ireally want to be the highest rated
on this?
Son of a. I was like, I don't know.
So I was like, I really thinka 3 is nice and level for me.
So I pleasantly surprised yourated this three and a half out of
character based on how we know you.
But I like it.
I like it.
It's a welcome change.

(29:04):
And with that, he just did itfor giggles.
That could be true.
He wanted to steal that title, which I respect.
It was good.
It was a good use of your.
Your platform to takeadvantage, so.
Exactly.
Well done.
I like going last on occasion.
There you go.
And with that, Alec, telleverybody where they can find us
when they're not listed as be weird.

(29:25):
Oh, wait, yeah, that's not really.
That's a terrible idea.
But for your viewing pleasure,Mondays we release episodes, so watch
us on YouTube at what's Our verdict?
Reviews.
I believe we chase the YouTubechannel or just whatsoever.
Type it in.
Once you see the threeStooges, that is us for getting involved

(29:47):
in the voting process.
Unfortunately this isSeptember week two.
So September movies are closedwith Brad Pitt, but we should have
another vote up and runningfor future months.
Patreon is a place to getinvolved with the voting.
So find us there at what's our verdictreviews?
Completely free to vote.
Drop a vote in.
It really means a lot to uswhen our movies are picked.

(30:08):
So the way that we kind of dothe voting process is category.
Right now we're on a bit of anactor actress kick and then we all
select a couple movies that wewant to torture the others with.
From there, you guys get tovote and whoever wins gets major
bragging rights.
I'm kind of annoyed because Igot one pick this month, but that's

(30:30):
best place to do it.
Special thanks to our patrons.
Is it Charles and Rich.
You guys are amazing.
Appreciate you both.
And with that I will kick itback to the colossus of clout.
The king of Crash.
A jj.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was kind of surprised.
I thought I was gonna 3 for 3again on this one.
But no, we had a nice.

(30:50):
Yeah.
Between me and Matson.
Two and two and then poor Alec.
Unbelievable his one.
But it was a good one.
That is true.
It's probably it.
It arguably could be thehighest total rated movie we watched
this month for September.
Well now.
Yeah, now I'm just gonna tankeverything to make sure it is.
We'll see.
There's still.

(31:10):
There's still a couple of bangers.
Lynch accepted.
But yeah, there's.
I. I think problem with my 2is Matson will probably have some
pacing issues with my 2, butthat's okay with that.
True.
Yeah, it's.
It's almost likely very true.
I mean you do know me prettywell, so I feel pretty confident

(31:33):
in that.
Your synopsis if that's the case.
Which is a little upsettingthat you got to do that to me.
But you know, what are wegonna do?
I'm hoping it'll balance outone for sure.
You'll have issues with pacing.
The other one.
I don't know the other one.
There may be enough there tokeep you going.
Alec purchased.
Man of the people.
Swipe that with that.
Look, we appreciate you tuningin as always and we'll catch you

(31:54):
on the next one.
Hasta la vista, baby.
Cinematic out.
