The 24-hour live marathon of noise and experimental sounds kept the kids out of the main room of the house, in their rooms with the doors firmly shut, pretty much all day. Keeping It Going On the day after Day Of Noise, my daughter had a playdate. While it was going on, I put on Escalo Frio by Otto Von Shirach which was more of the same. Escalo frio means shiver in Spanish. The record features an appearance by Matmos. Before putting it on I told my wife it was dance music and I admit, that was misleading. No Test Drive Abilities expo isn't happening in the bay area this year but it is happening in Los Angeles in mid March. I can get another of the same wheelchair that I already have, however I would like to have a chance to look at the options in a hands-on way. So I've been having littlebits of trigeminal neuralgia,
but not too bad.
Things are working out.Things are working out for me.
The new shoes

Just had to get that in there somehow.

They're not hurting my feetand making my feet go to sleep.
It gets, it is hard.
I have to put this carbonfiber brace on my foot

and then I have to getthat inside the shoe.
And the shoe doesn't want that.
It wants a regular foot,
so it puts my foot to sleep.
It hurts and, but the newshoes are working out.
They're not putting my foot tosleep. They're not that bad.

and they were digging it.
My aunt wrote me

roasted spicy pistachios
and I made some cool collages for it.

I made a collage of theguy who discovered MSG,
the chemical MS Foundation for MSG,
and he coined the term umami.
His name was Ida. I'll put a picture.
He also founded the company,

It's cool. He came upwith umami. I love that.
So my wife was like, I wonder what is,
what are the characters?
What's it made up of?
And so I see the Ji here, you know,

The word is made up of two parts umami,
which means delicious
and me, which means taste.

I'm like forward and I could look around.

I had this epiphany
because I had lost my water all day.
I was walking all aroundthe house trying to find it.
I couldn't find it anywhere.
Then I got in my wheelchair,it started rolling
around the house andI found it right away.
It was on the dining room table.

It wasn't anywhere weird atall. And it was like light.
The light bulb went off.
It helps when I search
for stuff using mywheelchair, not walking.

I've gotten into thisartist, John Kilduff.
He's a musician.

His thing is called Let's Paint tv.
And it's a public accessTV show that has become
a YouTube channel.
I saw it first on Instagram,but it's, it's on YouTube
and it's so great.
Let's see. His bio.

John killed off as an artistliving in working in LA
in 1987.
He received his BFA inFine Art in painting
from Otis Parton School of Art
and Design in Los Angeles.
And in 2008, he receivedhis MFA in fine art

painting from UCLA.
He is best known for acable access television show
entitled Let's Paint TV.
In 2006 K up began to upload these videos
to YouTube where Kup became an internet

celebrity soon killed up, performed
live on Tyra vh.
One's big in oh six andAmerica's God Talent.
Season number two clips of Let's Paint TV
have appeared on multipleTV programs as well.

Kil up now does his show Daily Monday
through Friday on the internet
and performs live at variousvenues around the world.
So I didn't know how far back this goes,
but I saw this stuff on Instagram
and then I, I checked it out on YouTube.

He's also on band camp with music.

It's just recordings ofhis TV show. He kinda jogs.

or something, like a chaospad and a microphone.

it was the Day of Noise.
Live on KZSU Stanford, 90.1 fm.
24 hours of live music from midnight
to midnight on February 3rd.
All things strange and beautiful.

24 hours straight of live experimentation
and improvisation featuringexperimental noise
drone bands
and artists from the Bay Area and beyond.

This is the 19th day of noise.
And this was great stuff.It was on in the weekend.
I put it on and it kept thekids out of the main room
of the house and kept them in their room
with the door totally firmly shut.

through the house tearing stuff up.

in their rooms quietly.

and rubber bands.
They were a guitar, Iguess, you know, the thing.
So, and I was like, I'll play some music.
My wife was into it, so I picked out
this Auto V Rock record called Escal

Rio, which means cold chills.
And it was like the day ofnoise was still going on.
It was nuts. It has a matmos on it.
And before I put it on, I, Itold my wife it was dance music
and that was like a white lie

that was like the little white lie
that the salesman tells you to get,

it's called, it was dance music, kind of.
It was kind of day of noiseand kind of dance music.

This year, the Ability Expo
isn't happening in the Bay Area
or they haven't, they haven't planned,
they haven't scheduled a date.
So it isn't happening inthe Bay Area this year.
It's happening in Los Angeles, mid-March.

They have the whole thingscheduled out all year.
And I went to one in the Peninsula last,
or like five years ago
and that's when I got my wheelchair.
And it was good. They hadall these vendors in the,

in a big warehouse, youknow, convention area
and they had all these vendorsyou could get hands on.
And so I got a wheelchairthat fit my needs,
but it's kind of one of the aluminum
welds on it has broken.

And so it's like seenbetter days, you know,
and my, we're talkingabout getting another one
and I was like, I wish Icould go to that Ability
Expo and see different wheelchair vendors.
'cause I could reorder, I can get another

of the same wheelchairthat I already have.
But I want to look at what's available.
I want to test drive.
You know, they allowed you totest drive and that's useful.
