As the current Director of Divine Discipleship for Sister’s (DDS) discipleship ministry at First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG) in Glenarden, MD, Sherry demonstrates her passion for serving by providing that listening hear to all who willingly shares. She has a heart to empower, inspire and impact the lives of women.
Recently, Ms. Blue opened her home to become a certified Transitional House for Women re-entering the community due to incarceration, substance abuse and other anti-social behaviors. Blue’s house is the second home for women in the Howard County community under Project Encompass, Inc., Nonprofit Transitional Housing for Women that offers housing for 18 months. Project Encompass, Inc. fosters a creative support system of programs that promotes education, provide spiritual guidance, life skills, conflict resolution and job readiness to overcome the barriers associated with addictive behavior, and move from dependent into independent, self-sufficient lifestyles
