She started her business as a VA four years ago and has since transitioned into coaching others. It was all of her pitfalls and her perseverance that led her to help so many freelancing women create businesses that don't suck the soul out of them and make them feel like they have to sacrifice their family for their businesses. Ellyse struggled in the beginning of her business to find consistent work and clients. It took her six months to land her first paying client, and she was only making $3,000 a month from her nine clients. She was doing a variety of tasks for them, which made it difficult to market her business and find new clients. After losing two-thirds of her clients, she took the opportunity to reevaluate what she wanted to do in her business. She decided to niche down and focus on content repurposing, a skill she was passionate about and good at. This allowed her to attract better clients and make more money. In the matter of six months, she was able to make up for all the revenue she had lost from her previous clients. She also created a mini course to teach others how to content repurpose.
