How does tapping into your inner magic sound as you transition into the fall equinox? Join me for this pivotal episode of Monthly Tarot Magic, where we discuss a major shift in our podcast offerings. This final chapter on the main feed marks the transition of our monthly collective tarot readings to Patreon.

As we embrace the energy of Libra season, we dive into the themes of balance, harmony, and beauty. We draw the Magician card, inviting us to harness our inner magic and engage with transformative energy. Reflecting on the shift from Virgo's structured approach to Libra's quest for peace, we discuss reorganization and renewal. The Eight of Wands and Six of Swords guide us through setting balanced boundaries and making conscious choices to foster growth and navigate change.

Tarot is more than just future predictions; it’s a profound tool for self-reflection and personal growth. We explore "tower moments" and the importance of breaking old patterns to create new narratives. With recommended resources for deepening your tarot practice, this episode is packed with wisdom and gratitude for the community we’ve built. I invite you to continue this journey on Patreon, where we’ll expand our content and deepen our connections. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to the new beginnings we’ll share together.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Well, hello there.
It is time for another episodeof Monthly Tarot Magic here on
when Walls Can Talk, the podcast.
My name is Jeremy Haig, I'm thehost and creator and I'm also
the witch behind when Walls CanTalk Tarot.
I'm starting to kind of splitthose into two different
businesses because, well, justbecause and I'll talk about that
in a few and kind of let you ina little bit on what's going on

(00:27):
and my mindset and my businessplan and all that since most of
you have been with me from thebeginning and are some of my
biggest supporters and fans.
So, thank you.
And what I do here on MonthlyTarot Magic is release about an
hour-long, 45 minutes to an hourlong collective reading for the

(00:48):
month ahead, and it's kind ofmy gift to my listeners, a gift
to my supporters who have givenso much to me.
I like to give something backand I like to use this a little
bit as kind of an energeticforecast for the month ahead and
pull some cards to give us alittle bit more clarity around
action items and steps that wecan take to maximize the

(01:08):
opportunity of the month ahead.
Some housekeeping stuff Firstand foremost, I have my first
pumpkin coffee of the season.
I am happy as a clam, especially because so much of
the reading that I'm going totalk about today really has to
do with the transition into thefall in the later half of the
year.
And so, yeah, this is MonthlyTarot Magic.

(01:30):
I always like to give a littlebit of a caveat that, for those
of you who come to this showspecifically interested in true
crime, dark history, theparanormal content, our
storytelling, our kind ofimmersive production style
episodes, this is definitely notthat, and I just want to fully
respect that.
This is not always everybody'sniche interest on this show and

(01:53):
in this space.
And that's so okay, like sobeyond okay.
And the reason that I say thattoo is also because this is
actually going to be the lasttime that Monthly Tarot Magic is
offered here on the mainpodcast feed.
The way that it has been offand on throughout the past
couple years.
It has been a staple of theshow since the very beginning.
But, as I really dial in what Ithink my audience is most

(02:16):
interested in, I think a lot ofpeople come here specifically
for the when Walls Can Talkcontent, the true storytelling
episodes.
That being said, there is a tonof people that are really,
really interested in this.
I get probably the most emailsand feedback from across the
whole show are based aroundthese episodes and just people

(02:38):
sending me notes and lettersabout what it meant to them and
how they were able to implementsome of that work into their own
lives.
So don't panic, it's not gone,it's not going away, but from
here I want to make it forpeople who specifically would
like to hear this, who'd like tohear this message.

(02:59):
So these episodes, monthly TarotMagic, is going to be relocated
now, starting in October, overon our Patreon.
Patreon will always be linkedin the show notes below, so I'll
make sure that that's there foryou.
This is going to be for our $5tier and above, so for $5 and
above on Patreon, you'll getaccess to these hour-long

(03:22):
collective readings.
Access to these hour-longcollective readings.
I'm also going to startcoupling those with additional
rituals, spell prompts, tarotspreads.
I know I've said that before inthe past, but I'm really,
really dedicating myself tomaking our Patreon community
grow kind of from nothing.
So if you can spread the word, help people that might be

(03:42):
interested or benefit from thistype of content, these type of
readings.
Have access to those by sharingit with your friends and family
.
That would be so amazing andI'd be so, so grateful for that.
I think $5 a month to me feelslike a fairly great energetic
exchange to get as much depth asI try to present and provide
here.
So, yeah, I think that's all onthat.

(04:05):
I just think it's a betterplace to house that content and
with that coupled as well, Ihave reopened my books on my
website.
If you would like to purchaseor secure a full length
personalized reading like theone that we're doing today, just
for yourself, whether it be forthe month ahead, the year ahead
, gift it to a friend for abirthday or for anything like

(04:26):
that, my books are open on thewebsite whenwallscantalktarotcom
.
There's a page to book areading with me and for those
who are listeners of the podcast, I've created a code for 10%

deeper on a more personalizednature, I'd love to see you

(04:47):
there.
Second piece of informationthat's a little bit more timely
to the date of this release thisis releasing September 1st 2024
.
Just letting you know as wellthat Cinematic Secrets also
comes out on September 2nd andthat will also be the last time
that Cinematic Secrets finds itsplace on the when Walls Can
Talk main feed, so make sure tofollow the show wherever you

(05:10):

behind Hollywood, and secretsand stories that have never
really been shared before, orjust go ahead and follow me on

(05:32):

I've started this series eachday where I release a short
video talking about today anddark history, and that seems to
be really, really engagingpeople and they're really
enjoying it.
I also do today and planetaryshenanigans, if there's
something going on, whether itbe in the lunar cycles or the
zodiac or anything like that.
So, yeah, follow along on oursocial media journey.

(05:53):
I'm really committing this yearto seeing what I can do with
this platform and to reach moreand more people who might
benefit from the message thatwe've connected to as a
community here at when Walls CanTalk.
So tomorrow, cinematic Secretscomes out.
It's going to be exploring thelife and legacy of Rock Hudson,
especially circling this idea ofwhat happens when someone's

(06:14):
identity or personality isforced to be a dark secret, and
how that in and of itself can bea cinematic secret, and then
the next one after that comesout on September 16th, and that
one's going to be on Gone withthe Wind.
So, yeah, I think that'severything I have for
housekeeping.
I tried to keep it as short asI could just because there's a
ton going on.
And, yeah, I think, with thatbeing said, it's time to jump

(06:38):
into our energetic forecast andmonthly tarot magic for
September 2024.
Let's go to some cards.
Alright, let's get started.

(07:05):
So, first and foremost, asalways, I'd like to start with a
little bit of our weatherforecast for the month ahead,
specifically in our energeticlunar cycle and zodiac cycles.
So this is important today.
The message is multi-layeredfor September.
I'm going to do my very best tochannel the message that I'm
getting as clearly as I can.
It's kind of overwhelming to mejust a little bit, because it's
kind of complicated, but I'mgoing to do my best to be a

(07:28):
vessel for this space.
So, if this is the onlyopportunity that you gift
yourself to slow down, take somedeep breaths, drop in, connect
to the universe, I want to makesure that you capitalize and
maximize this opportunity.
So if you're listening, somewhere where you can sit down
, I encourage you to do so.
Take some nice deep breaths, slow yourself down a little bit

(07:55):
and if you feel the need or theurge to close your eyes at times
, that's okay too, because thisis your time to use however you
want to.
Okay too, because this is yourtime to use however you want to.
First thing, coming up on ourforecast, on September 3rd, so
just in a couple days, we have anew moon.
New moons, as always, are areal good opportunity for

(08:16):
beginning a new cycle andsetting intentions around what
that new cycle might mean orwhat it might look like.
Specifically, because this newmoon is in Virgo, the energy of
this new moon is going to bereally focused in on Virgo,
energy, which is very practical,it's very grounded, it's very
interested in self-improvement.
So what you might find mostbeneficial during the cycle of

(08:40):
this new moon is to find ways toget yourself organized, whether
that be tidying up your house, working on and dialing in a
project that's been kind of inyour world or on your radar,
finding ways to make healthierchoices that you've been really
desiring to make for yourself, focusing on daily routines.
So, overall, virgos are reallyreally deeply dedicated to

(09:02):
personal growth.
So are there habits that youwant to build or refine for
yourself in this next cycle?
This is an opportunity to kindof clean the slate a little bit.
If things feel like they'vefallen by the wayside, gotten
out of hand, gotten a littlecluttered or messy, now is a
real good time to clear off yourdesk, refresh your space, clean

(09:22):
up your kitchen, redo yourcabinets.
Refresh your space, clean upyour kitchen, redo your cabinets
and that I don't necessarilymean in the 3d way, the way I'm
not saying now is necessarily atime to do spring cleaning.
However, if that's a good wayto physically manifest or
implement some of that mentalityinto your brain, into your aura
, that might be a really greatway to do it.

(09:44):
So, new moon and cancer we'resetting new intentions,
specifically around grounding,practicality.
What do you need to grow inthis next cycle?
On September 8th, saturn goesinto opposition.
That means this is the timewhere Earth, the sun and this
particular planet are in directalignment.
Oftentimes, if you are anastrologer, someone interested

(10:06):
in the stars or stargazing, itoften means that these are the
times when these particularplanets can be easiest seen
literally, sometimes just with apair of binoculars.
Saturn is very, very interestedin structure.
They're very interested indiscipline.
Very Capricorn energy, saturnencourages us to face challenges

(10:26):
head on and find solutions toour problems or to our
complications that have beenpresenting themselves to us.
This is a great opportunitythis is September 8th to use the
nudge from Saturn to getserious about our goals, take
responsibility for the actionsthat it takes to make those

(10:46):
goals happen.
And so, if you've been puttingsomething off, if you've been
avoiding something, this is agreat opportunity, with support
from the universe, to use thatsteady energy to get ahead on it
, to get some effort into it, toreally assert your will to make
those things happen.
And I'm going to get into thatquite a bit more in our tarot

(11:08):
segment.
So I think what I'm seeing fromthe beginning of September all
the way through to the 17th,which is the next segment that
we're going to talk about, isthis real Virgo clarity to
identify goals, identifycircumstances where we can
reclaim control, clean the slateand make some things happen for

(11:28):
ourselves.
Get yourself organized, getyourself focused.
I did that this week.
I just got back from podcastmovement in Washington DC, which
was an incredible experienceand I got back and I felt like
now is the time to sit down, getmy calendar organized, clean
the deck, make a strategy formyself, help myself succeed by
focusing on the details, focusing on the places where I

(11:51):
can take responsibility formaking that happen.
So, the 1st of Septemberthrough the 17th, we're going to
have a lot of energetic supportfrom the universe in order to
accomplish these tasks.
So, if you feel a little bitmore energy, if you feel a
little bit more driven, morefocused, more inspired, perhaps
use that energy, allow it tohelp you, because things are

(12:13):
going to feel a little bitdifferent come the 17th of
September.
There's a lot happening.
On the 17th, it is the fullharvest moon and it is also a
partial lunar eclipse.
So this time, from then untilthe 22nd, which will be the next
one I get to in just a minute, but I don't want to get ahead of
myself.
Starting on the 17th, thingsmight start to feel a little bit

(12:35):
out of control and a little bitmessy, and here's why Lunar
eclipses tend to bring in themystery and bring in the shadow
into our lives.
Partial lunar eclipses, andlunar eclipses in general,
sometimes also lead towardsculminations of something sacred

(12:56):
endings to things, and theseendings can feel a little bit
unexpected and surprising andfeel like they come out of
nowhere, when in reality theyare a result of a slow buildup
to a moment in the lunar cyclewhere it's like, okay, this is
done, we're complete with this,I'm helping you, let this go.

(13:18):
And that, coupled with the fullmoon, which is full harvest moon
is always the one that'sclosest to the autumnal equinox,
and this is the full moon thatfarmers used to use over
centuries.
The bright light from that fullmoon would be the one that they
would use to gather the last ofthe crops before their colder
months into the later half ofthe year, and this goes back

(13:40):
centuries.
This is a cycle that farmersand agricultural people going
back generations, tens ofgenerations, have done, and so
this is a really good period toreflect on what we've achieved
over the course of this year andwhat we've gathered, so that we
can harvest it and save it andprepare for the next season of

(14:04):
growth, which will be on theother side of a bit of a
cocooning, a wintering phase.
These two things together canfeel abrupt.
I, in my perception of this, Ithink this is going to feel like
a tower moment, which is asacred destruction, where it
feels like things that we'vecarried so close to the chest
and so desperately held on tofor a long time suddenly present

(14:27):
themselves as no longer ofvalue to us.
They're no longer in ourhighest and best and it's time
to let those go and let those bedismantled sacredly, with the
impulses of the universe, theimpulses of the moon.
So, from September 17th untilSeptember 22nd, it may feel this
dismantling might feel out ofcontrol, it may feel unprompted,

(14:51):
it may feel perhaps evenunwarranted, but I want you to
root into the fact that this iswith support from the universe
and it's from sacred guidancefrom the moon.
So it's going to be okay, Ipromise from sacred guidance
from the moon.
So it's going to be okay, Ipromise.
September 22nd we arrive at thefall equinox, which is the
beginning of Libra season.
It's also Mabon, which isalmost our witchy Thanksgiving,

(15:14):
so to speak, which is againrooted in the history of the
harvest, the history of theculmination of the growing
season.
This is when that darker towerportal that I've been perceiving
ends.
So it's going to be fromSeptember 17th until September
22nd, and this is a season Libraseason is always based around

(15:34):
balance, harmony, beauty, andit's all about finding that
sweet spot between work and play.
And Libra season is ruled byVenus, which is the planet of
love and devotion, which reallyconnects this to this idea of
recommitting to what we perceiveas beautiful about life and
that'll be different for everysingle one of us.

(15:56):
What connects us to the beautyof what it is to be alive in a
human body on Earth?
At this time, even the littlethings can fall, like this is
I'm talking about, like aperfectly brewed cup of coffee,
allowing those beautiful moments.
It's very Empress, energy.
Actually Empress is all aboutthis idea of can you allow in

(16:18):
the beauty and the abundancethat's around us, even if it's
in the tiny things, like just abeautiful stream of light coming
through the window, reallystopping to enjoy the moment
where your cat falls asleep inyour lap and is purring Stuff,
that we often, in our materialrush and our desire to pursue

(16:40):
everything that's on ourcalendar or whatever that might
look like for all of us, wemight overlook some of the
things that make life beautiful.
So this is going to be allabout finding harmony for the
rest of the month, whether thatbe harmony in our schedules,
harmony in our emotions, harmonyin our relationships, it's
always about the pursuit ofpeace and balance.

(17:03):
And so this is to kind of takea step back and look at this
again.
On the whole, this is kind ofthe forecast that I'm seeing
this huge Virgo drive to focus,to realign, to find structure,
discipline, clear the deck, really get clear on what it is

(17:26):
that we're wanting, which mayfeel a little bit combated by
this tower moment ofculminations, endings, things
falling away, being almost tornout of our hands a little bit
from the 17th to the 22nd, andthen, in that clearing, that
sacred harvest, that clearing ofthe fields, that taking out
what remains in the earth that'sdone its job for the year, we

(17:49):
then get to quietly focus onwhat does balance and harmony
look like, moving forward.
So it's almost its own minigrowth and death cycle all
within one month, which I thinkis going to make things feel a
little bit complicated.
But I honestly feel fired upabout it because I'm already
feeling this Virgo energy thatI'm talking about.
I already feel like I want toget super clear on what is my

(18:13):
routine for creating thiscontent, for providing to my
audience, for helping my show,my tarot business, helping all
of it grow, reach new people whocould benefit from this.
I think tapping into that alittle bit might help people and
you don't have to be anentrepreneur or a small business
owner or any of those things tocapitalize on this.

(18:33):
This can be like how am Irestructuring the way I do
chores around my home?
How am I restructuring the waythat I get back to people on my
phone when I'm at the office andI get home and there's phone
calls and text messages, likethat level of analysis around?
How do I find what makes mefeel most focused and charged

(18:54):
and energized, rather than justletting it all sit there and
then finding ourselves a coupledays or hours later feeling
overwhelmed and anxious anddrowning and whatever that thing
is for you.
So now that we kind of have arough roadmap of this roller
coaster, so to speak, thisbuilding up this little bit of a

(19:14):
drop off as things change andthen start to rebuild again into
Libra season, let's go to cards.
So tarot the first card that Ipulled was a card for me that's
going to speak to the beginningof this journey, which is that
new moon in Virgo energy.
Let's go deeper on this.
So the card that I pulled ismagician.

(19:35):
Magician is card one of thetarot, the one that directly
follows card zero being the fool, fool being the protagonist of
the tarot journey.
In my opinion, the fool cardintroduces us to the character
who goes through the entirejourney.
So to tap into one's magic, which is very much what I feel

(19:57):
like this tapping into the Virgoenergy in this new moon is
going to be like it's tappinginto our own inner magic it
takes a conscious choice.
The magician is often pairedwith the high priestess, which
comes directly after it's cardtwo of the tarot.
I think that in those two cards, the fool makes two choices

(20:20):
Number one, they make theconscious decision to engage
with the energy present in theirjourney through the tarot.
And number two, the HighPriestess is about the
subconscious and the unconsciouselements of tapping into the
magic of the tarot, the magic ofthe universe.
But it's interesting here that,in this particular spread,
what's happening is, if you wantto take the journey that I've

(20:43):
described so far, it is going torequire a conscious choice on
your part and, given that thiscard is in position one, it is
the first choice for anythingelse to be able to occur.
So if you want to go throughthis and I guarantee you it's
going to be worth it and I'lltell you why as we keep going

(21:06):
you have to make the choice andsay yes, I would like to go on
this journey.
Yes, new Moon and Virgo, Iwould like to tap into your
energy.
Yes, I give permission toeverything that's going to come,
including the sacredculminations later in the month.
Yes, yes, yes, the magicianrepresents the channel that
exists within all of us, throughwhich energies, impulses, the

(21:30):
universe and just sacred truthsflow In the magician, nothing
about what is being presented ascapable of being channeled.
It's a signal hey, like thereis the ability for things to
come through, but it can'thappen without us, and it can't
happen without us saying yes andus making the conscious

(21:51):
decision I'd like to go on thisjourney.
So the magician, I think, couldbest be described as that moment
during the process of creation, whether you're a musician or a
painter, or sit down in front ofa microphone like this to
record that moment.
That, I think, is really welldescribed in the movie Soul,

(22:12):
where you feel like you leavethe body and you look back at
the things that you create, orthe way that you organized your
home or the way that you, orwhatever it is, and you look
back and are like, wow, thewhole of what was created feels
better than the sum of its parts.
Or I feel like what camethrough me is better than what I

(22:33):
personally am capable of doingon my own.
That magical feeling, or likeif you're a theater kid and you
completed a show and it was justespecially if you're like in
high school or something, or incollege, where everybody's
talented on their own, but thensomehow, when you look back at
what was created all together,it feels even greater than the

(22:53):
sum of the talents of the people.
It's it's that, it's thatfeeling we are capable of
channeling, creating, connectingto truths from outside of us.
That feel, when you look backat them, greater than something
we think that we are actuallycapable of doing.
That is a magical experience.
That is the magician, but it'sreferencing us.

(23:15):
It's referencing the fact thatit comes through us and the only
way that it does that is by ussaying yes.
The magician has four tools onits table and their tools
reflect the four suits of therest of the tarot, which also
connect to four major andperhaps the four elements of

(23:38):
what it is to work withhumanness in a sacred way, so
that being your energy wands, your thoughts and your mental,
your thought space swords, youremotions, your intuition cups
and your behaviors in connectionto your soul and connection to
what makes life sacred,pentacles.

(23:58):
It is those four thingstogether.
The magician encompasses all ofthem.
Are we willing to allow ourresources, our intuition, our
connection to be this channel?
So the truth of the universe,or the truth for you, even wants
to come forward in thebeginning of this month.

(24:19):
Do you say yes to allow it?
If so, I recommend making aritual around it, write it down,
journal about it, pull cardsaround it, create a spell for it
, meditate on it.
Really, really lock that in inyour subconscious mind that I am
saying yes.
You're also allowed to say no.
That's okay, like if you have avery busy month ahead and you

(24:41):
really can't afford to have yourshit rocked a little bit later
on, which I feel is what's goingto feel like.
It happens a little bit onSeptember 17th in a very
beautiful and very sacred way.
You are also allowed to say youknow what.
I'm going to come back to youin October.
I have a lot on my plate rightnow.
I have a lot on my plate rightnow, but for everybody else,
that's like like me, where, as Iwas doing this spread and

(25:05):
preparing for this reading, Iwas like you know what I'd never
swear, but you know what?
Fuck, yes, let's go Then.
Then really lock that in foryourself, ritualize it, meditate
on it, make it, make it connect, because your body and your
brain is going to fight you onthis, and I'll tell you why as
we keep going.
But let me, let me move on.

(25:30):
The next card that I pulled wasI wanted to get some sort of
sense of what the shadow side ofthis magician moment could be,
because everything like thisfeels super optimistic and super
positive and super exciting.
But there's always a shadowside.
There's always a challenge tothis experience that we might
perceive or that our brain mightlatch onto as an excuse as to
why to not do this.
I pulled four of swords, soswords as always we've talked

(25:54):
about this a lot is ourconnection to our animal
ancestors, our brain, that itwill never be rid of it, whether
it's along for the ride andhelping us out or making life
challenging, we're never goingto get rid of it.
So our mind is a tool and ithas the power to be used either
as medicine or as poison, basedsolely on the way that we choose

(26:17):
to work with it, the way thatwe choose to be kind of the pet
owner, the way that we choose toparent our own mind.
We'll decide whether or not ourmind is used to our benefit or
to our detriment.
So I think the shadow side isgoing to be forcing ourselves to
remain focused.

(26:37):
There is a portal being openedand being created through this
experience of this entire month, not just the front half that
we've been talking about.
There is a portal here.
If you can stay focused andreally commit to what this
opportunity is, you will comeout the other side, a different
person.

(26:58):
This will change you.
You won't come back from whatyou experience in the month of
September the same person, butonly if you allow it, only if we
choose to parent our brainenough to force ourselves to
stay focused on the here and now, what's going on, and don't get

(27:18):
distracted by the fears andanxieties of I don't know how I
feel about this.
I don't know if I like beingout of control.
You may find yourself in theprocess of this journey, feeling
like you stand apart from thepeople around you, that you're
different or that you see theworld around you in a very
different way, and that can be aterrifying thing.

(27:41):
It may even feel lonely atmoments.
But don't allow your impulse totrick you into running away
from this opportunity, becauseif you run away, you miss the
beauty that's capable.
Here there is a portalavailable to every single one of
us to change, and you can sayno.

(28:02):
You can, you can say no, and ifthere's a part of you in your
heart that says this portal isnot for you right now, I believe
that to be wholly valid andperfectly understandable.
But if you are like me, whereyou're ready for a change, if
you felt blocked, stifled, bored, stressed, use this to your

(28:24):
advantage.
But that's also going to requirethat you play an active role in
tending to your mind, whichwill probably have an issue with
some of this, because it'sgoing to feel very rushed, it's
going to feel a little bit outof control.
It's going to feel a little bitlike you're ramping up that
clicking sound as a rollercoaster climbs to the top.

(28:46):
That's what the beginning ofthis month is going to feel like
it's going to feel a littlelike the ground drops out for a
few days, starting on the 17thuntil the 22nd.
Luckily it's not a long period, but that's when you throw your
hands in the air, trust theuniverse to catch you as you go
down and believe that everythingthat's happening is in your
highest and best.
So that's kind of the new moonenergy that we're talking about.

(29:09):
So the next card that I pulled,I just I wanted us to be
prepared for everything, becauseI am a Capricorn rationalist
and everything about this soundsterrifying, thrilling beyond
thrilling.
Like I would love to come outthe other side of this month
feeling like a completelydifferent, rejuvenated and
recharged person.
But I have a lot of doubts andI have a lot of stresses.

(29:31):
So I pulled our next card, which I have a lot of doubts and
I have a lot of stresses.
So I pulled our next card, which I wanted to reflect what
will be the biggest challengethat we face in this process,
and that is nine of wands.
So we're going to talk aboutboundaries for a minute and I
can feel people collectivelyrolling their eyes, both in a
sense of oh God, not again, andalso in the sense of okay at me.

(29:54):
Why don't you so?
Boundaries Our boundaries, arewhat separates our thoughts,
feelings and actions from thoseof others, just kind of in a
general definition, in the waythat we're talking about it here
.
So we can often find ourselveswishing we were more flexible or
durable or unfazed by otherpeople, specifically when we are

(30:19):
defending our boundaries andmaking choices about.
This works for me.
This doesn't work for me.
I'm not available to this.
I am available to that, butwhen we choose to ignore those
boundaries in order to try totend to the emotions of people
around us or not, make them feelupset or hurt people or have

(30:39):
people not understand what it isthat you're doing, that it's
going to break you from theconnection to this portal
journey that we're talking about.
So I can't tell you enough howmuch this is going to be the

(31:15):
biggest challenge you're goingto face this month, but it's
also going to be the mostimportant piece when it comes to
, like, what is my homework here?
What am I supposed to do?
If you let your boundaries beweakened in order to babysit the
people around you and how theyfeel and take responsibility for
their feelings or theiremotions?
None of this is going to matteranymore, and that's not meant

(31:37):
to be a threat and it's notmeant to be, it's just.
This is how this works.
If we become so focused on whateverybody else needs and
internalize how they're reactingto our choices, we're no longer
in the driver's seat, we'repulled out of the car and we're
watching the car drive onwithout us.
Again, hot take.

(31:57):
But if somebody has an issuewith our boundaries, it has
absolutely nothing to do with uswhatsoever, nor do we have to
take responsibility for it.
If anything, it is a reminderto them in a painful way of how
limited their boundaries are,and perhaps they're even jealous
of the fact that we're able tochampion ourselves and advocate
for ourselves in that way, orthey've just never experienced a

(32:19):
boundary before in their lifeand legitimately don't know what
to do with us.
But that is not where this ends, because there's more to it
here.
What is a balanced boundary Inthe Eight of Wands?
The card, the traditionalartwork from the Smith Rider
Waite, which I'd rarelyreference because I believe that
a card should be able to existindependently of its artwork,

(32:42):
but I think in many casesthere's so much nuance and
detail in the artwork from theoriginal tarot that is worthy of
acknowledgement.
In it we see an individualstanding next to what looks like
almost a little wall thatthey're putting up of wands, but
there's big gaps in it.
It's a very flimsy.

(33:02):
It's not like an iron clad walland there's nothing wrong with
that.
But it does make me think a bitabout what a balanced boundary
actually looks like.
So, in my opinion, if a boundaryis too flimsy, if it exists but
it's not defended and notestablished enough, we still
spend all of our time scanningthe horizon, awaiting for an

(33:24):
incoming threat that we have toward off in order to defend our
boundaries.
That's what it looks like andfeels like if you have a
boundary but it's not strongboundaries.
That's what it looks like andfeels like if you have a
boundary but it's not strong.
It's porous, it lets thingsthrough still.
So you as the individual stillhave to kind of serve as a foot
soldier to defend it.
On the other hand, a boundarythat's too strong makes intimacy

(33:46):
and connection with otherpeople's borderline impossible.
So if you find yourself likehermiting away in your room
constantly and realizing thatall of your friends, all of your
connections, you're completelyalone, or people are finding you
intimidating and that could bea boundary that's too strong.
You've pushed people out toomuch.

(34:08):
So what does an ideal boundarylook like?
Ideally, you want a boundarythat should allow you to have a
break from always standing guard.
Your boundaries should be firmand visible to people on a
metaphorical and metaphysicallike kind of mile away, but it
shouldn't make you unwelcoming,it shouldn't make you cold to
people.

(34:28):
It should be a boundary thatallows you to focus your energy
on your own restoration andgrowth, of which there's
probably going to be a lot thismonth.
That's why I think boundariesare so important.
You are going to be changing, you're going to be evolving and
you need a boundary to helpdistill out the things that are

(34:48):
not meant for you, the energyyou're not meant to take on,
because everything in you isgoing to want to do that.
So boundaries can be verydistressing at first for those
who are not used to it, and Ithink every one of us can
probably think of somebody intheir life that's like
profoundly good at it, and itcan make them feel a little bit
like unreachable at times.

(35:09):
I think some people might havethat perception of me just
because I tend to exercise myboundaries around my phone, I
choose if and when to respond tomessages, to emails.
I certainly am not trying to beirresponsible or unrealistic in
the sense of just avoidingemails, that I don't feel like
it because it doesn't work thatway either.

(35:30):
But I also know that I won't bemy best self if I just pick up
the phone and answer somebodyimmediately just because they
reached out, especially if I'min the middle of the flow of
creation or in the middle oftaking a moment of quiet for
myself.
I respect my boundary enough toknow that that time is sacred
and important and that messagewill be there to get back to as

(35:51):
quickly as I can.
That's kind of an example ofwhen, where one of my boundaries
are.
I learned that during COVID whenI really really enjoyed the
fact that my phone wasborderline silent all day and
then returning to regular life, especially a creator, we get
kind of like probably 500 plusnotifications a day and I've

(36:11):
even turned off some of mysocial media ones and it might
make you feel like you neverhave a second to breathe or to
just be and you kind of losesight of who you are as a person
behind the creation machine.
And I'm speaking just to myexperience, but I think we all
have one that's similar.
So it can be very distressingto have the feeling of like, oh
my god, they're going to be somad at me because I'm taking two

(36:32):
hours before I answer this textmessage.
I'm taking an hour or twobefore I do X, y, z or however
that appears in your own life,in your boundaries.
So it might feel distressingand the reality is is people in
our life might push back, theymight threaten those boundaries,
they might throw a tempertantrum, but ultimately what's

(36:53):
going to happen if you stay trueto those is that both of you
are going to benefit, becausenot only are you gifting
yourself the space to restore,to grow, to change, to become a
better person when you do showup to those people or to those
things in your life, but it alsois ultimately going to
eventually make them feel safetoo, because they're going to
have a pretty clearunderstanding of what to expect
from you, and that can be reallygrounding.

(37:15):
I think of the same people whoI know, who have really firm
boundaries.
I also know exactly what myrelationship with them looks
like.
I know exactly how and whenI'll hear from them, how they'll
respond to situations.
It makes me feel comfortablewith those people.
Now I want to talk about thisportal specifically that I've

(37:39):
been talking about between the17th and the 22nd, this like
tower portal that I'm personallynaming it that it's certainly
not that in like a broad tarotsense, but I'm labeling it that
just because I think that's thecard that most connects to what
I think is going to happen there.
The card that I pulled to helpus understand this a little bit
more is the Six of Swords, whichI think is a perfect card for
this.

(38:01):
Breaking patterns is hard.
Releasing things that no longerserve us the way we've kind of
been for or will be forced to doduring that portal, is hard,
and usually we're going to findthat there's a small army of
emotions within us tryingdesperately to keep those things
in place, even as the universe, the moon, your spirit guides

(38:25):
your ancestors, however youidentify to this idea of the
universe, while those things aresaying like nope, nope, nope,
let me have, like let go, please, let me have it.
There's going to be a smallarmy of emotions inside of us
subconsciously that are fightingdesperately to keep that thing
in place.
So what we need to do throughthis, our homework for this

(38:45):
portal specifically is we needto have a willingness to
experience the feeling of thatloss point blank period, but we
also need to be willing toexperience that feeling in a way
that we haven't been willing todo before.
We never, as human beings, wenever go on a new route.

(39:08):
We never choose a new path.
It's never something that wejust wake up one day and we're
like you know what I feel likebreaking patterns today.
If you do like kudos to you, you're amazing, teach me your
ways, please.
But in general, we don't likeroll over one day and you're
like you.
Just you know what.
I just feel like changingeverything in my life.
I feel like letting go, and Ithink there are people, though,

(39:31):
now that I think about it, thereare people who reach that point
in their life where there'sreally no longer an option.
Those are the people who throwall their stuff away, sell their
home, move into a trailer, quittheir job and just change
everything, and that's, I think,a little bit of a different
experience.
I think what I'm talking aboutthis month is much more micro.
It's much smaller scale, butit's rare that we make that

(39:55):
choice on our own.
It's rare that we say one day, like you know what I just feel
like experiencing fear andanxiety and guilt and terror
around changing the way that Irespond to and interact with the
world.
We just don't do that.
So if you're afraid of thischange or if you're afraid of
the challenge that I'mdescribing, first of all you're

(40:18):
onto something and there'ssomething precious here for you
to chase.
So it is not a bad thing tofeel anxiety or nerves around
this portal.
Let me remind you of something,in case this is the first time
you've ever heard a tarotreading from me.
I do not read the tarotspecifically as a way to divine

(40:41):
the future, and tarot in generalcannot predict anything,
because the universe is neverfixed.
Every choice that we make inevery moment of our life changes
the way that the future goes.
So what I'm saying here I'm notpredicting that your
relationship is going to end.
I'm not predicting that you'regoing to get a divorce.

(41:03):
I'm not predicting you're goingto lose your job.
I'm not predicting you're goingto lose your car or your home.
Tower moments are sacred andsmall generally.
I mean, I've experienced bigtowers too, but what I'm talking
about here is it's small things.
It's like I'll give you anexample.
Perhaps your tower portalbetween the 17th and the 22nd

(41:27):
could perhaps be something likeI am through with the storyline
that I'm not good enough andthere's going to be sacred
support from the universe totake that story away.
I'm through with the story thatI'm not intuitive.
Other people are, but I'm not.
That could be what your towerportal is.

(41:47):
I'm through with the idea thatthe only way that I bring income
in for myself is throughtraditional corporate
nine-to-five methods or atraditional material,
earthly-focused job.
Perhaps that's a story thatneeds to go away in order for
you to shift into something new, something creative, something
out of the box, something thatmakes you feel alive.

(42:09):
That's what I'm trying to do.
That makes you feel alive.
That's what I'm trying to do.
I'm trying to find my way outof this safety net that I've
created for myself that the onlyway to exist is work in the
corporate world from nine tofive.
I will never be able to supportmyself with my tarot, I'll
never be able to support myselfwith my podcast, and it's a
fever dream at best to thinkotherwise.
That's a story that I'm tryingto get rid of, and it's hard.

(42:30):
Every ounce of my body fightsback against that story, against
allowing that to be possiblytrue, which creates a block from
allowing the opportunities thatcould change that story to come
through.
So it requires my willingnessand my choice to engage, my
choice to face into the fear ofoh my God, this transition could

(42:50):
be impossible.
Fear of, oh my god, thistransition could be impossible.
That's just an example.
I want to be clear that I'm notsaying that the stocks are going
to crash between the 17th andthe 22nd of September.
I don't read tarot like that.
That's not how it works, atleast not from me.
So perhaps, if that's how youwant to engage with the tarot, I
might not be the reader for you, and that's okay.

(43:12):
If that's how you want toengage with the tarot, I might
not be the reader for you, andthat's okay.
That's more than okay, it'sabsolutely okay.
So I'm asking you to engage ina much quieter, much more
emotional space.
Yeah, portal Breaking patternsis difficult and we're rarely
going to want to just choosethat on our own.
So it's important that we giveourselves the support of facing
in, even if we don't want tojust choose that on our own.

(43:32):
So it's important that we giveourselves the support of facing
in, even if we don't want to.
Last card that I want to talkabout is the card that's going
to represent the Libra gateway,so the gateway as we walk
through into Libra season andinto the beginning of next month
, and that's going to be 10 ofwands.
So there's a lot here, but I'mgoing to try to distill it down
just because we're already at 45minutes.

(43:52):
Go figure me.
Well done me.
Everything is limitations, youknow, and so how do, and
limitations and boundaries kindof exist in the same world, but
have a very different tonalityto them.
So, in this gateway, as itfeels like things might have
been taken away and our fieldshave been cleared, our harvest

(44:15):
has been gathered and the slateis blank yet again.
Once again, the slate is blankand it's time to find that
harmony and balance as we moveinto the back half of the year
or the back quarter of the year.
How do I explore my ownlimitations so that I'm being
true to myself?
Libras really, really want tofind balance in ways that then
make them feel true tothemselves, what they desire,

(44:37):
what they truly desire, not justwhat they desire in their minds
.
How do I know if I've had toomuch?
This is overwhelming.
How do I know if I haven'ttaken on enough?
People like me, who overexertthemselves, typically end up
feeling two overarching emotionsabout 98% of the time and we

(44:59):
fall into one of two bucketsEither one resentment for saying
yes to too many things or guiltfor saying no to things.
Rarely do we find ourselves inthe middle or just proud of and
content with the choices thatwe've made.
That's also a sign of boundarywork, but boundaries and
limitations, I think, againexist in a very similar

(45:20):
framework in ten of wands in thetarot for the holy spectrum.
That is my deeply, deeplybeloved deck and I'll make sure
that I link that in the shownotes.
I've used every edition that'sever come out.
It was created by ChaseVoorhees in partnership with the
teachings of my own tarotteacher, lindsay Mack, for Tarot

(45:43):
for the Wild Soul and Tarot forthe Wild Soul podcast, which,
if you're interested in readingor learning about tarot, that is
the teacher that I would directyou to first.
Or if you don't want to do orcan't financially afford to do,
coursework right now, the bookthat I would say go get is.
I would tell you to get twobooks.
One is Tarot for Change byJessica Dorr, and one is 78

(46:04):
Degrees of Wisdom by RachelPollack.
Those are the two books thatyou need to get started, anyway,
in the artwork of the Ten ofWands, specifically in the deck
that I just mentioned, but alsoin the Saman Smith Rider Waite,
actually come to think about it.
Our fool, if you want to keepthat protagonist story going has
ten wands on their shoulder andthe weight is so much and

(46:27):
they're also spewing in everydirection, which I can imagine
is very difficult to keepbalanced and keep from dropping
things.
And their head is focused onthe ground because that's all
they can do to keep focused onmaking sure that these ten wands
on their shoulders stay thereand don't fall to the ground,
rather than examining in anintelligent, emotionally mature

(46:48):
way the burdens that are on ourshoulders and critically asking
are these ones for me?
We avoid, we avoid and we don'tlook at our limitations of like
.
How did I get to the pointwhere I have 10 wands on my
shoulder, five of which don't Ishouldn't actually be carrying
at all?

(47:09):
This month, before we arrived atthe Libra Gateway, we learned
to let things go.
We learned to put things downwith support from the universe,
who said you know what.
I'm going to go ahead and tryto take this from you.
Please let me, as you move intoLibra season, don't pick it
back up again, just don't.
Don't do it.
Don't pick up something thatyou've already gone through the

(47:32):
challenge and the burden and theheartache through the challenge
and the burden and theheartache and the growth and the
blessing and the like healingof letting go.
Don't turn around and pick itback up again when we have guilt
for saying no to things.
It's it's conditioning, that'sall it is.
It's conditioning that's rootedin the idea that we're
responsible for how, that we'reresponsible for other people's

(47:52):
feelings, we're responsible forhow other people feel, and it's
just not true.
We found something new thismonth.
We found something new.
Pick up the new thing or pickup the space that we now have
created a vacuum of opportunityto develop further.
Like, say, for instance, likelet me illustrate kind of what I

(48:15):
was talking about.
For me, if, between September17th and 22nd, I find that
there's a bunch of stuff outsideof the creation of this podcast
, the creation of my own passionproject, if that were to fall
away Now would be theopportunity and the gateway into
Libra season to throw myselfwholeheartedly into that, find

(48:39):
the balance of where that bringsme harmony, balance, joy,
connection to the deepestdesires of my own heart, rather
than just immediately going andpicking up another job just
because conditioning tells me Ineed to and guilt tells me that
I need to.
Conditioning tells me I need toand guilt tells me that I need
to.
That's just an illustration andit will show up in a bajillion

(49:02):
different ways for a bajilliondifferent people.
Yes, that is the scientificterm Very educated of me.
We found something new thismonth.
We cleared out things to givespace for something new or to
allow something that's beenaround the room to grow.
Pick that up instead and don'tlet it go.
That's our reading.
That's our reading for thismonth.

(49:23):
It's a lot.
It's like the plot of an entirenovel in one month.
And don't be intimidated.
You are the main character.
You are driving this car, nomatter what.
Now you have the opportunity todecide.
Do you want to invite spiritinto the passenger seat?

(49:44):
Do you want to let it be thenavigator?
Do you want to let it tell youwhat turns to take or what
highways to avoid and whatpitfalls in the road might
distract you or disrupt you?
Do you want to have thatconversation or don't you?
And that's not a challenge.
That is something that you cansit down and decide for yourself

(50:06):
.
I can't decide it for you.
This reading can't makeeverything that I've said happen
.
If it sounds like too much, youhave the ability to say thank
you, not this time, I'll see younext month.
This is completely up to you.
Now, everything that I've talkedabout today is a very
generalistic approach.

(50:26):
I think there's a lot ofspecificity that a lot of people
will connect to, but there isalso a lot of this that also is
very general and is very kind ofgeared to help and reach and
touch as many people as possible.
If you need help taking thisreading, taking this
understanding and going deeperand making it more personal and

(50:47):
more specific to you, again, Iremind you there is a link in
the show notes to book a readingwith me.
If a limitation is financial, hopefully having a 10% off might
help just a little bit, and youcan use Code Podcast to get 10%
off your reading.
Again, I'll remind you one moretime that this is the last time
that this collective reading isgoing to be available here on

(51:09):
the main feed of when Walls CanTalk, the podcast.
This feed will get very, veryspecific and focused on the
stories that we love telling, with occasional bonus content,
but I want this to existsomewhere special for my
listeners and for all those thatsupport me.
So, starting this comingOctober and every month going
forward, these monthly TarotMagic episodes will exist

(51:31):
exclusively on Patreon, and, again, that link will be in the
show notes as well.
To join us Join us at the $5tier or above, just $5 a month,
and you'll get access to anhour-long kind of deep dive on
what I see coming up ahead.
So I leave you with all of thatinformation, because I know this

(51:51):
was a biggie.
This was a complicated one.
I, for one, am so freakingexcited to see how this goes,
and I would love to hear aboutwhat this journey looks like for
you.
What was your tower portal?
What was your rebuild?
What was taken away from you?
What did you find in the firsthalf of this month that was
deeply inspiring?

(52:11):
How did you implement theorganization and the
practicality and the drivendiscipline of just really
focusing on what is on your desk?
What do you want to be on yourdesk now?
Shoot me an email, jeremy, atwhenwallscantalktarotcom, or DM
me on Instagram atwhenwallscantalk with
underscores for spaces, or joinus on Facebook on our Facebook

(52:32):
group.
It's been a little quietrecently, but if you have
something you want to talk about, start a discussion, get people
talking.
I will be more than happy tojoin in and share my takes and
my thoughts.
I want this to become acommunity.
I want this to become not justme channeling to the best of my
ability in a vacuum.

(52:52):
I want to hear from you.
What does this mean to you?
How do you connect to this?
Does this reading feel spot on?
But I also want to hear ifyou're like you know what this
is out, you're out to lunch.
I don't get it.
I don't connect to it.
This doesn't make any sense.
Let's talk, let's go deeper.
Maybe there's a more nuancedtake to this that's meant for
you.
So, anyway, I have loved havingMonthly Tarot Magic here on the

(53:15):
main feed and I'm deeplygrateful to all of my listeners
that found them useful andhelpful.
Come with me to Patreon.
Let's keep this going.
Let's grow this into somethingbigger and better than ever.
But, with that being said, ithas been an honor.
Have a wonderful, wonderfulLabor Day weekend and don't
forget that you have CinematicSecrets available right here on

(53:37):
the main feed one final timetomorrow, so I will see you
there, thank you.

(55:07):
Thank you, guitar solo.
Thank you.
