SPEAKER_02 (00:00):
Hey guys, you're
listening to Whisk Takers, the
podcast where every dish is ajoint effort.
SPEAKER_01 (00:05):
We're your hosts,
Laura and Janelle, getting high,
getting hungry, and getting intothe science behind elevated
cooking.
SPEAKER_02 (00:11):
Whether you're here
to learn or just laugh through
the munchies, you're in theright kitchen.
Let's fire it up.
Let's do it.
SPEAKER_01 (00:17):
Hey guys, I'm
Janelle,
SPEAKER_02 (00:19):
your resident sweet
tooth and sugar dealer.
Sugar dealer.
That's clever.
Thank you.
And I'm Laura, your cannabisculinary nerd and absolute
refrigerator.
infuser of measurements.
It's true.
I come close.
And today we're going to tellyou how to infuse sugar and
we're going to use ours to makea summery treat before we lose
(00:40):
summer altogether.
I know it's going so fast.
I'm not ready.
I'm not ready.
Nope.
So listen, why sugar?
Because so far I have learnedthat the THC wants something
like fatty and oily.
Yes.
And you're not wrong, but sugaris stealthy.
So we love it for its ownreasons.
Sure.
So you can use Use it to sweetentea.
(01:01):
Room a cocktail glass.
Right?
You see where we're going.
That one's for your mother?
Yeah.
We're going to make a lot ofcocktail glasses.
Yeah.
I envision my shelf full of themthinking, oh, I've got to make a
lot more sugar.
Anyway, you can also toss it onfruit and you can use it on
(01:23):
anything to sweeten it becauseit doesn't have a strong herby
or green taste.
Oh, nice.
It's not overpowering.
but you can use it on a lot ofthings so while it's not the
strongest okay edible like fatis going to be your best but
this you can use on things whereyou wouldn't be able you
wouldn't want to put butter overyour martini glass you know what
i mean there's lots of benefitsto sugar and the additional one
(01:44):
is that it's shelf stable okayyeah yeah yeah to its
versatility so you can take itwith you you can put it in your
purse okay you can put it in alittle salt shaker yep you can
put it in your cabinet surethere's lots of places you can
put it okay I feel like one ofthem is your butthole.
Oh, no, I would never put it inmy butthole.
(02:04):
No.
No.
So...
What's your...
What you're telling me is I canuse this in pretty much
anything.
So yeah.
Say I want to wake and bake.
Sure.
There's lots of ways you coulddo that with sugar in your life.
Right.
What if instead of my flavoredcreamer, I go milk and infused
(02:26):
sugar?
I mean, I think you're thinkingsmart now.
Thank you.
Yeah.
All right.
So for the sake of time,
SPEAKER_00 (02:34):
we've already made
our sugar, but we're going to
tell you how we did it.
It's a process that takes a fewdays.
So first,
SPEAKER_02 (02:41):
we started making
it.
Remember how last week we talkedabout reading the recipe top to
bottom before starting?
Yeah, we didn't do that.
Still didn't learn that lesson.
But after we got through it,we're like, well, shit, we can't
record this today when we'rethree days behind schedule in
making it.
So anyway, sorry.
Back to you.
Right.
(03:01):
So first we decarbed the weed, which just means that we baked
it around 240 degrees Fahrenheitfor like 30 to 40 minutes yeah
give or take and that's how weactivated the thc turning the
thca into the stuff thatactually gets you high oh the
glow up exactly so you have todecarb your weed or your sugar
(03:22):
will be all vibe no buzz soafter we decarbed the weed we
made a tincture yes so to make atincture is really simple you
just put your weed in a masonjar and cover it with a high
proof alcohol like everclearokay yeah you can shake it daily
for a few days and and let itextract the THC.
Are we, are we making weedshots?
(03:44):
I mean, probably not so much.
We're not trying to black andgreen out.
I mean, aren't we?
So I've done it.
Oh no.
And it was not a good idea.
Okay.
All right.
There's pictures somewhere.
I'm not going to show you, butthey exist.
It's not, it's no.
So what we did is we made ourtincture and we mixed it with
(04:05):
granulated sugar in a glassbaking dish.
Right.
Okay.
So then we can stir this and letit dry out naturally over the of
20 to 48 hours right but we'rebaking ours in a low oven to dry
it out and that's where we arenow i actually took it out of
the baking dish and i put it ona baking sheet just so i could
like dry out evenly and makesure it was done in time for us
but you don't have to do that ohperfect yeah um so should i you
(04:30):
want me to get it out you wantto pause a second i'll get it
out of the oven yep okay Well,it's not quite dry, so do you
want to...
Why don't you hit the kids withthe nerd stuff?
Like explain to me how thisactually works.
Okay, I can do that.
That's actually perfect timing.
So when you mix the sugar intothe tincture, the alcohol acts
(04:52):
as a carrier.
So it holds on to the THCmolecules, and then as the
alcohol evaporates, the THC getsleft behind, now clinging to the
sugar crystals.
So it's like a bromance.
It's all, sugar's all, sup, Igot you bro.
And he pulls you in for a bigtight hug and he doesn't let you
go.
I love how you're putting thisin like, what is this, Gen Z
(05:15):
terms maybe?
Yes.
I don't, I don't know.
Yeah, but pretty much, yeah.
I mean THC is like, it loves fatand alcohol.
So once the alcohol is gone,it's bonded to the sugar
surface.
So it's not super deeppenetration, but it's enough to,
okay.
a chemistry queen.
You should call me chemistryqueen.
(05:36):
I really did.
It was pretty obvious that youwrote part of this episode
because there were certain linesand it's like, I would never
call myself a chemistry queen.
That's totally your verbiage.
Anyways.
It is.
So, I will go off.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Alright, so do you want to pauseand then when this is fully dry
(05:58):
we'll come back?
Yeah.
UNKNOWN (06:02):
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (06:02):
So we have dry
infused sugar now.
It's like moonshine and baconhad a baby.
UNKNOWN (06:08):
It sure is.
SPEAKER_02 (06:09):
So it only took like
an extra couple minutes.
It was basically dry.
It looks, it's pretty crystal.
You can feel it.
It's dry.
It's like sand.
If you're wondering, it's like, hold on, this is the ASMR part.
SPEAKER_00 (06:27):
can use the hashtag
ASMR for this episode.
SPEAKER_02 (06:31):
That was so smart.
So that was the grinding ofsugar.
Should we do it?
Look at that.
It feels so good too.
I wish you could.
Does it?
Do it.
Your hands are clean.
Yeah.
It's like playing with sand.
Actually, that's really fun.
Yeah, I know.
We should do a sand castlelater.
That sounds fun.
SPEAKER_01 (06:47):
And then we could
eat it.
Yeah.
Well, we could eat the sandcastle.
I see where you're going withthat.
For sure.
All right.
So let's talk about dosing.
SPEAKER_02 (06:55):
Yes.
All right.
Let's talk about dosing.
So dosing is going to depend, obviously, on how much and what
kind of weed you're using inyour tincture.
But a good ballpark is 5 to 10milligrams of THC per teaspoon,
depending on strength.
So one teaspoon in an iced tea,and I'm going to enjoy it.
A very chill sesh.
Yeah.
I mean, you could bake withthis, but it's a beautiful
(07:16):
summer day.
We're heading down to the poolin a bit.
I'm thinking lemonade.
Yeah.
Sounds good.
It's sweet.
It's tart.
Mildly illegal in some states.
That's how I like my snacks.
Or, you know, you could sprinkleyour teaspoon on your toast,
like the Grownstone or Ferry youare.
Oh.
Cinnamon weed sugar toast isabout to be the coziest fall
(07:40):
breakfast.
Oh, dope.
I've had that and it is amazing.
Really?
SPEAKER_00 (07:43):
Seriously.
Oh God,
SPEAKER_02 (07:44):
it sounds so good.
I'm
SPEAKER_00 (07:47):
not ready for fall,
but I'm a little bit ready for
fall baking
SPEAKER_02 (07:51):
and now that.
You know, maybe we just savesome of the sugar for a fall
treat for ourselves.
But today we're doing summerystuff.
So let's get back to thelemonade because lemons are
loaded with a terpene calledlimonene.
And I'm going to say that wrongevery time I try and say it.
That's why I'm stumbling overit.
I'm going to breeze past it.
(08:11):
and say that it's a terpene thatboosts mood, helps reduce
stress, and practically turnsyour buzz into like a liquid
sunshine.
It is the good one.
If you're looking for like agood feeling, like a high, get
motivated, feel good, limonene.
Limonene is the one you want.
I thought it was limonene, butto be honest, who knows?
Who knows?
(08:32):
I don't know why I thought that.
I guess lemon lime, limone,whatever.
I don't know.
Somebody will tell us in thecomments.
UNKNOWN (08:40):
But...
SPEAKER_02 (08:41):
Somebody will tell
us probably meanly in the
comments.
SPEAKER_01 (08:44):
Let me tell you
exactly how it's said.
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (08:47):
Yeah, with phonetic
spelling.
That's what we fucking eatbecause it's not in our brains.
We don't have phonetics in ourbrains.
But anyway, the point is thatlemons are already loaded with
that, and that's a terpene thatboosts mood.
So you can see where I'm goingwith this, right?
Yeah.
UNKNOWN (09:03):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (09:04):
sugar, lemon, weed.
It's mood math, baby.
Like it's giving like sweet,it's giving tart, it's giving, I
love everyone in this roomvibes.
You're picking up what I'mputting down.
So I'm pretty sure you canhandle all, you can, you.
I can.
Can handle squeezing the lemonsand adding sugar and water.
(09:27):
I'm trying to give you therecipe.
Slowly and stumbling over it.
Okay, well, let's go back.
to everybody in this room vibesand we're going to start again
because you're telling the kidsat home that they can handle
squeezing lemons and addingsugar yeah without our guidance
but for the sake of the showwe're going to do it together
now and then i'll tell them whatthey need right that's exactly
(09:50):
what i just said it's not thoughoh well just go tell them what
they need you need one cup offresh lemon juice that's about
four to six lemons unlessthey're little tiny babies and
we had these little tiny lemonsthat were but i gotta say we
used what how many one two threefour We used six, and that was
(10:14):
our four cups.
So they were babies.
That's not bad.
I would say that measurement isright on.
Four big ones, six small ones.
Yeah.
Anyways, I gotcha.
Start over, because we don'twant to confuse the kids.
Thanks.
I got yelled at for that lasttime.
You did.
I'm sorry.
It's okay.
So you need one cup of freshlemon juice, one cup of our
infused sugar.
You didn't tell them how manylemons that could be.
(10:35):
I'm sorry.
They're starting from scratch.
Try one more time.
Third time's a charm.
What?
Third time is the charm, I said.
What?
I love that you answered yourown question.
That's an ask and answer, bitch.
So one more time.
Ready?
I got it.
And go.
You're going to need one cup offresh lemon juice.
(10:57):
That's about four to six lemons.
One cup of infused sugar.
Four cups of cold water and ice.
We bought our ice at the storebecause our freezer went out.
When did our freezer go out, youmay ask?
When our air conditioning wentout and our house overheated.
Sorry.
(11:17):
Smart homes.
Smart homes, I can tell ya.
So, point is, we've got a bowlof ice, but normal people with
working appliances can justprobably get it out of their
freezer in one way or another.
Probably.
But, if you have to get bags ofice at the store, I feel you, we
did it too.
So, first we're gonna make oursimple syrup.
That is just simply combiningour sugar, simple syrup, because
(11:41):
it's simple to make, get it?
Anyway.
It's clever marketing.
It's so good.
Clever.
I'm on board already.
So we're going to combine oursugar and a cup of water in a
saucepan.
So we're heating it over medium, stirring until the sugar
dissolves completely.
And then we're going to let itcool.
(12:01):
Okay.
So I measured out four cupsbecause that's what I was told
to do.
Yep.
So I'm just going to pourprobably one cup-ish into here.
Yep.
Back
SPEAKER_00 (12:12):
to ASMR.
UNKNOWN (12:13):
ASMR.
SPEAKER_02 (12:14):
Look, that was
exact, I did so fucking good.
That was exactly.
Nobody is gonna believe that youdid that.
I know, I wish you could take apicture and like prove it.
Well, I can.
Oh, it was on video.
It was, yeah.
Oh no, it wasn't, I was offscreen.
Damn it.
Oh, fuck.
It was perfect, I just needpeople to know.
It was perfect.
And then how much, all of thesugar, right?
No, it's a cup of water to a cupof sugar.
(12:34):
Right, yeah, okay.
So I have a quarter cupper here,so I'm just gonna pour those.
Okay, yep.
One, yep.
two we might not have enough forthe fourth we might have to use
regular
SPEAKER_03 (12:54):
okay
SPEAKER_02 (12:55):
that's three oh no
just pour that in it'll be fine
it'll be close enough i think ohsays the girl that likes to
measure oh that's totally closeenough i think uh yeah You'll be
SPEAKER_01 (13:19):
fine.
You'll be
SPEAKER_02 (13:21):
fine.
I'm turning the heat on whileyou complain about your eye
scratches.
All right, so I have to heat iton medium.
Yep.
And we're going to stir it untilthe sugar dissolves completely.
Should I use my fancy stirrerthat I just found?
I would love you.
I don't think this has ever beenused.
(13:41):
Feel it.
I've literally never seen thisand I've been in your house a
thousand times.
I don't think I've ever seen itand I live here.
Behind his friends.
Well, I mean this utensil jug isone of the giant pickle ones and
it's beyond stuff full.
(14:02):
It's like there's stuff hangingout of it.
You know the ones from Friends, the giant...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bring this little guy over.
It's the one from Friends withthe homemade pickles or one-cent
things on it.
It's a gift from my sister.
That's sweet.
I know! Tam gives
SPEAKER_00 (14:18):
good gifts.
SPEAKER_02 (14:20):
Damn, Tam, and your
gifts.
Did you say damn, Tam?
Yeah.
Look, is this doing good?
Right now, I'm just mixing it.
Yeah.
I'm stirring it.
Yeah.
okay this is getting there idon't know how long it didn't
say how long right until itdissolves well that's not
helpful does it dissolve in 30seconds and five minutes i guess
we should let the kids know
SPEAKER_01 (14:41):
well we will after
after we find out how long it
takes older
SPEAKER_02 (14:48):
okay well it's
heating up but it's not quite on
medium yet though so calm downshould we pause it and then
we'll come back that sounds likea great idea i'm very smart yep
and pretty thank you you'rewelcome Okay, so let's juice the
rest of these lemons whilethat's cooling down.
Okay, should we tell the kidshow long it took?
Yeah.
I think we promised them that.
Yes.
That's about two minutes-ish.
(15:10):
Two minutes-ish.
Two minutes-ish.
Two mishes.
From here on out, it's just twomish.
Yeah, two mish.
If something's going to take twominutes, two mish.
You got it.
All right.
If it's ish, you know.
I mean, if it's an exact twominutes, you're going to want to
accept that timer.
But this was two mish, sowhatever.
So, while it's cooling, I wasthinking we could juice the
(15:32):
lemons.
I know we already did the onesfor our drink, but I was going
to make some weed-free lemonadefor the kids since it's summer.
So, is that cool?
Yeah, that's really cool.
That's really cool.
You know if you...
SPEAKER_01 (15:50):
Okay.
Yes.
I wrote this line and it's justinformation that I knew.
But when I looked to see wherewe were, I was like, green
letters are mine.
That's all I could see.
I was like, green letters.
Janelle says
SPEAKER_02 (16:06):
green letters.
That was really smart though.
Cause you do say the greenletters and the next line is in
green.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
I was going to say, you know, that if you
SPEAKER_00 (16:16):
roll them before you
squeeze them, it's easier to get
the juice out.
SPEAKER_02 (16:19):
Yes.
You said, Oh, while you wererolling them while you were
looking at the screen.
That's probably what threw yourlittle brain off.
Because you weren't doing theaction you were talking about.
I can't do things like that.
It doesn't work for me.
I'm sorry, I had to move thatpaper out of the way.
Oh, that's okay.
That was probably a pretty niceASMR for somebody as well.
I'm sure.
(16:39):
People love a crunchy paper.
Oh, do they?
Yeah, actually, yes.
People, yeah.
Yeah, that's cool.
Interesting.
So, yes, thank you for...
that bit of knowledge they havebeen rolled thanks to you and
i'm juicing them and look we'redoing pretty good we've almost
filled up another that's crazyyeah that's one they're gonna
(16:59):
get their own whole picture thatsounded disgusting what the
juicy yeah does it sound moistyou did that even closer oops
Our side business is scoringporn.
(17:21):
And so we're just killing twobirds with one stone here.
I mean, it's certainly howyou're making it sound.
Grab that one.
Real quick, just get that one.
Grab it.
Save that one.
UNKNOWN (17:34):
For sure.
SPEAKER_02 (17:36):
okay look i've
juiced all my lemons is that
good yeah i didn't make a hugemess no you didn't let me use
this little juicer so it'scatching all the the pulp and
seeds yeah which is super coolbut there was so much that now
it's like preventing the juicefrom getting in a little juice
cup that happened when i wasjuicing lemons earlier oh i
guess that's just a hazard ofthe job No, you know what's a
(18:01):
hazard of the job is when Islice my finger off making your
steak.
Your potatoes.
Yeah, it wasn't making my steak.
My steak was just fine later.
Let's slice my finger off at amandolin.
That was not, that was not, thatwas a hazard of the job.
That was a hazard of the job.
(18:21):
That makes sense.
Yeah.
That's what I was going for.
All right.
Let's check the syrup and see ifit's cool enough to put this
together.
Okay.
What's behind you?
I mean, not really.
Not really.
Okay.
Well then pause it.
Yeah.
Let's pause it.
okay so we are back with ourcooled syrup and ready to make
lemonade that's right so whatyou can do
SPEAKER_01 (18:45):
Sorry.
Why did you say it
SPEAKER_02 (18:47):
like that?
I don't know.
What you can do.
It sounded funny coming out andthen it cracked me up.
Anyway, I'm glad that you caughtit.
I did.
So what you can do is grab apitcher and combine the cold
syrup, your lemon juice, and theremaining three cups of cold
water.
So I'm going to do that.
Here's my, this is sugar water.
(19:07):
Yeah.
Oh, hold on.
Let me take a picture.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
It's green.
It's pretty.
It's a whole, whole social mediaside to this that you people you
know people that you peopledon't always get to see what did
we do during the break oops yeahgo ahead okay It's fine.
(19:32):
All right, that's the sugarwater.
Here's the lemon juice.
Do
SPEAKER_01 (19:36):
you
SPEAKER_02 (19:36):
want to?
SPEAKER_01 (19:37):
Yep.
Lemon juice.
Oh, it's so pulpy.
Ew.
Shut up.
I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02 (19:44):
Drama.
Thank you.
There's about to be no pulp.
Thank you.
Take a good video of this.
I am.
I'm taking a good video.
Oh, no, you know, wait.
Here, let me turn on the video.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, it's facing the wrongdirection, silly.
All right, let's try this again.
Woo! Thanks.
All right, let's try this.
(20:05):
Put it in.
Okay.
Now we're recording.
Ready?
Yep.
You want to strain out the pulpif you don't like it, and this
will also strain out the seedsif any got through in your
juicer.
They had seedless lemons at thestore, but they were twice as
much.
I don't get how that works, so Iskipped it.
(20:28):
All right.
That's going in a snack.
Just kidding.
You're gonna make lemon bars?
I don't know yet.
Okay, and then here I put thewater in.
Yep.
I have to go pee pee now.
(20:50):
I purposely didn't talk overthat so you could hear it.
All right, all right.
So I put all that in, and thenyou're going to want to stir it
well.
Yep.
And then chill it and stir.
So while I finish mixing allthis.
Chill it and serve it?
Chill it and stir it?
Is that what I said?
(21:11):
Chill it and stir it.
I was like, wait, she repeatedherself, but she didn't repeat
herself.
Huh.
And it took me a second.
I slow-brained that one.
Yeah, you did.
I slow-brained, talked it, soit's fine.
So, anyway, Janelle, why don'tyou give us the marijuana fun
fact for this episode?
Well, I, like, finish stirring, and then I'll put it in the
(21:32):
refrigerator to chill it, andthen we will serve it.
How's that?
That's Sounds amazing.
Okay.
I am ready to talk about alittle bit of a spicy history,
if you will.
History?
We're going to need flashcardsor something, right?
Right.
Okay, because I'm not good withhistory.
UNKNOWN (21:52):
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (21:53):
We'll figure that
out later.
UNKNOWN (21:54):
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (21:55):
But today I want to
go back to the OGs, the founding
fathers, and ask, did they gethigh?
Well, the Chinese did, so I hopeour founding fathers weren't far
behind.
All right.
Sorry.
I'm sorry.
So I'm going to ask you, Laura,George Washington, did our first
president light up?
(22:16):
What say you?
He definitely grew hemp.
I've seen days confused.
Yeah, that's a true fact.
That's like a known fact.
Yeah.
So I'm going to say yes.
That's right.
It turns out that they founddaily diary entries where George
was writing about separating themale and the female plants.
(22:36):
That's like an early cultivationstrategy, right?
Exactly, because female plantsproduce the resin with the THC.
So he might not have beengetting high himself.
He was getting high himself.
But he definitely knew his wayaround.
Well, you know what?
I feel like the only way youknow this is by trial and error
to figure out what does anddoesn't work.
(22:56):
That's what I think too.
Right?
Right.
So if he didn't inhale, he forsure at least understood the
assignment.
If you catch my drift.
I do.
Who, which president was it thatdidn't inhale was that Bill
Clinton?
Like he tried it, but he didn'tinhale.
What did you do then?
Right?
I mean, where did it go?
UNKNOWN (23:17):
Where?
SPEAKER_02 (23:19):
I sat beside a
joint.
I'm really sorry, guys.
Yeah, how did that get in here?
Body?
Right.
Mouth?
I don't know.
Oh, maybe he ate it.
Oh.
Edibles.
Oh, shit.
Maybe he was being like.
We just broke his code.
He's not so clever after all.
Anyway.
It only took 27 years for us tocome to this conclusion.
(23:39):
Jesus Christ.
We're very smart.
They are pretty.
So next up is Thomas Jefferson.
He was an enlightenment guy.
He loved French wines.
Do you feel like he was a weedguy?
I mean, he grew hemp too, right?
I feel like they were probablyall using it for clothing at
sales and wrote kind of like acolonial Etsy shop.
(24:00):
Basically, yeah.
We know he was into
SPEAKER_00 (24:03):
farming experiments
and using foreign seeds.
So it's really honestly not toocrazy to think that he might
have encountered somepsychoactive strains.
Like, do you think as he satdown and is like jotting down
the Declaration of Independence,he might have been Thank you.
SPEAKER_01 (24:21):
enlightened, if you
SPEAKER_02 (24:23):
will.
SPEAKER_01 (24:23):
Like, I didn't want
to say, like, high as a fucking
kite, enlightened felt a littlemore...
SPEAKER_02 (24:32):
Respectful?
Yes, of our founding fathers.
Yeah, and they for sure deserveour respect.
But let's just say that life, liberty, and the pursuit of
dankness didn't make the finaldraft.
But, I feel like happiness isright up there with them.
If you know what I mean.
I do.
I feel like that might mighthave been a direct reference to
(24:53):
weed.
If you will hear me out.
I hear what you're saying, and Ithink you might be right.
For sure, right?
It's not really something I everthought about before, but it's
going to consume me when I tryto go to sleep.
The last one is my guy, BenFranklin.
What do you think?
Oh, well, even I've heard therumors about Ben Franklin.
(25:14):
So if anyone smoked, it was 100%him.
He was into arts, intellectualsalons, travel, and
experimentation.
Like if he didn't experimentwith weed, he was missing out,
and I wouldn't buy it.
for a second.
No.
No.
There's no direct evidence ofhim smoking weed.
He was in Europe during a timewhen Hashish was making the
(25:35):
rounds amongst writers andartists, and he was the guy that
coined the phrase, beer is proofthat God loves us.
Well, if that's the case, thenweed is just God's proof that we
should chill the fuck out.
Right?
The founding fathers may nothave been proper potheads, but
they were definitely hemp heads.
Yeah, I feel like they reallylaid the groundwork for what
(25:56):
we're doing now Now growing, experimenting, and passing it
forward.
One nation under bud.
With liberty and, I don't know,lemon haze.
For all.
For all.
There we go.
We nailed it.
Nailed it.
All right.
What you got?
What's next for us?
Let's taste this lemonade.
(26:16):
Is that what's next?
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
All right.
Hold on.
Pause.
Let me pour it for us.
One sec.
SPEAKER_01 (26:21):
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (26:22):
Okay.
So I got ice.
And look, I put some frozenblueberries in the ice cubes.
because long story, they werethere.
It's not that long of a story.
Yeah, they were there.
I got fresh blueberries, andthen they started to go bad, so
I washed them and froze them inlittle blueberry pellets.
And then they were on a bunch ofsheets, and when I went to go
get the ice out of the freezer, bam, right in my face was
(26:43):
blueberries.
I thought, how good would theybe in a lemonade?
So I surprised us with ice andfrozen blueberries as our frozen
treats.
That was really nice of
SPEAKER_03 (26:51):
you.
Yeah,
SPEAKER_02 (26:52):
I guess it wasn't
that long a story.
It wasn't.
I also talked really fast.
You did.
It's okay.
all right so all right can ithrow this in there at least
since there's no room there's noroom in our cups oh you know
what happens look you dumped allthe blueberries all of the
blueberries at all all rightwell it felt like you did so
(27:14):
janelle was trying to put all ofthe ice into the lemonade i felt
like that was a bad move onlybecause it would melt and make
it watered down for the nexttime we wanted some you're right
but if you're going to drink itall at once and you want to cool
it all at once put all the icein the lemonade, and then pour
it out.
That's definitely the way to go.
I just filled our glasses withice and blueberries, though,
because I don't think we'regoing to drink it all.
(27:35):
Ready?
Yeah.
And if we do drink it all...
Joke's on us.
Joke's on us.
I'm going to have to sleep here.
Did you get a picture of ourpretty glasses?
No, I'm going to.
Okay, do it.
(27:58):
Do you hear the little beep?
That means a picture's beentaken.
No, it doesn't.
That was a little video so thatit looks better in a TikTok.
Oh, that's what I meant.
All right, ready?
No, hold on.
I got to make a boomerang.
Okay, so we're going to make aboomerang.
So you start in and pull out.
(28:20):
You ready?
Sure.
One, two, three.
Do we do it?
SPEAKER_01 (28:24):
No.
SPEAKER_02 (28:26):
Of course we did.
Ready?
Oh, man.
I'm sorry.
Actually, I didn't just putlemonade on the floor with our
blueberries.
All right.
Ready?
We'll be a good treat for thefour monsters later.
One, two, three.
Did I do it?
Oh, look how cute we are.
Oh, good job, us.
Okay.
Yep.
(28:46):
Perfect.
We made a boomerang, guys.
Look for us.
We sure did.
for us wherever you get yourboomerangs.
Wherever you boomerang.
Wherever you boomerang.
Wherever you come back around, look for us.
Anyway, taste test time?
Yeah, let's test it.
(29:08):
Shit.
Oh.
Oh, that tastes like summervacation, but like in slow-mo.
Oh my god.
It's really freaking good.
Yeah, it is.
saying it i'll say it if thislemonade could talk it would say
(29:32):
i'm not driving it
SPEAKER_01 (29:37):
wasn't funny when
you
SPEAKER_02 (29:41):
pitched it
SPEAKER_01 (29:45):
I pitched this.
SPEAKER_02 (29:47):
You said, hey, how
about this line?
If this lemonade could talk, youwould say, I'm not driving.
And I said, absolutely fuckingnot.
And yet, here it is.
That's what happens when you'renot the one that writes the
script.
I wanted to say, when life givesyou lemon, add infused sugar and
make this damn lemonade.
(30:08):
That was better.
That would have been a reallycool ending line.
We'll A-B test them.
Put in the comments which isbetter.
Option A.
If this lemonade could talk.
No, no,
SPEAKER_01 (30:21):
no.
Those aren't
SPEAKER_02 (30:22):
the two.
No, I'm not saying.
I'm saying we should havestopped talking after you said
this damn lemonade because itwas delivered well.
That would have been a greatending to the episode.
Right, and that's what I wassaying.
So you go back to the top.
And then you put in, if thislemonade could talk.
All right, yeah, back to thetop.
(30:44):
Okay.
I wanted to say, when life givesyou lemons, add infused sugar
and make this damn lemonade.
SPEAKER_03 (30:54):
