Assurance of God's Saving Work.
It's another psalm written byDavid, and yet this one's a
little bit different because itis the voice of a multitude, or
many people on behalf of oneperson.
So it seems like this psalm isfrom the people of Israel on
behalf of their king David, ashe's preparing for battle.

(01:04):
Spurgeon said this about thispsalm this verse is a
benediction befitting a Sabbathmorning and may be the
salutation either of a pastor tohis people or of a church to
its minister.
It's kind of a prayer on behalfof someone else.
So I thought who can you praythis over as I read it.

Now I know that the Lord saveshis anointed and he will answer
him from his holy heaven withthe saving strength of his right
hand.
Some trust in chariots and somein horses, but we will remember

(02:43):
the name of the Lord, our God.
And the verse I'd like to focuson is verse seven.

the name of the Lord, our God.
Now, many of us we don't havehorses or chariots these days,
but I kind of thought to putthis into our own mind.

we will trust in the lover ofour souls.

trust in the Alpha and Omega.

trust in our great physician, the healer of our souls.
