(00:00):
Hey everybody, welcome to whistle while you work podcast.

(00:15):
This is a bonus episode with special guest.
What's your name?
Henry Henry.
So I'm Kayla and normally it's it's me and Randy but we've got mom and son.
Maybe this will be our mother's day special.
I don't know.
What do you think?
All right.
That'd be cool.
So this is a bonus episode.

(00:36):
So it doesn't have a title but I think you kind of have a little bit of an idea of what
you want to play.
So I was thinking we can do like rope chop mad rampage and it would be like would you
rather rope drop for Peter Pan or would you rather rope drop for space mine and then it's
going to be in different sections like different parks so we first we would do Magic Kingdom

(01:00):
go from go from park to park.
Yeah.
All right.
Before you explain too much about it let's just make sure everyone that listens knows
that you've been to Disney World a few times right.
A few means like a lot probably at least 10 times.
Your mom and dad really like it and you've been going since you were little.
You've even been to Disneyland what two times I think three three.

(01:23):
Yeah one times like one and our one is like six six five and then like last year you've
been a lot.
Now two years ago.
Hey so you have a little bit of experience so when we play this little game here it's
from experience first person experience right.
Yeah because like I'd say the lines too long like you know from experience like seven doors

(01:47):
is always 60 and above minutes.
Right.
Rope chop in the morning.
Oh fun.
So you have so many memories and experiences going to the parks.
OK so tell us what's which park you want to start with.
All right.
So let's start with Magic Kingdom.
And we're going to be already going to just do Florida parks today.
Yeah.

(02:08):
OK.
All right.
So Magic Kingdom.
So do you want to give me the scenario and I have to pick or should I give you a scenario
scenario first.
All right.
So we're at Magic Kingdom.
It's like 8 a.m. in the morning.
They're about to drop the rope and we can go do some rides in the park.
OK.
So you your group that you're with is trying to decide do they want to rope drop rampage

(02:36):
towards.
You ready for this.
Space Mountain.
Or Big Thunder Mountain.
That's totally opposite side.
That is a tough one but the thing is if you have had a lot of experience you know that

(02:56):
people just they don't.
I have a feeling they just don't want to go that far away to rope drop for a ride.
I know it sounds crazy but that's what I feel like because normally in the middle of the
day which is normally typically that's where it's the busiest besides seven doors.
That's a whole different.
Yeah.

(03:17):
It's busy all day.
So Space Big Thunder Mountain is just purely 20 to 40 minutes at 20 minimum 40 to 50 max
in the whole day.
So I would prefer to rope drop for Space Mountain.
I know Space Mountain is like that too but sometimes some days jumps up to like 60 minutes.

(03:42):
Yeah it seems like Space Mountain is consistently a longer line.
Okay so you're running over to Tomorrowland.
It seems like it would be closer to Big Thunder's kind of further.
Yeah that's the whole reason that I would I think that's why the lines kind of shorter.
Both great rides though right?
Yeah they're both incredible rides.
Alright give it to me.

(04:03):
Which two do I have to pick between?
I know you are a big fan of these two roller coasters.
Okay well this will be tricky then.
It's gonna be really hard for you.
Okay.
But Peter Pan it's also a really long line in the middle of a day.
One 20 minutes most days.

(04:24):
That's my option one.
And then option two is Seven Doors Micron.
Same thing it's just really long line like 120 same thing.
It's just basically the same times as Peter Pan.
I'm thinking I feel like I would pick Peter Pan's flight.

(04:47):
Do you want to know why?
I'm kind of shocked because 90% of the time whenever we're there on a trip with my mother.
With me?
Yeah with her.
She always does Seven Doors and I don't know why probably because she loves Seven Doors
because it's really fun.
It's one of my favorite rides.
Well here's the reason.

(05:07):
I would pick Peter Pan because if I really wanted to I could pay for Seven Doors later.
Or the other big thing is I like Peter Pan.
I like the queue like you know the line leading into it.
Yeah I can see that.
I would still be able to enjoy it if I rope drop it but I wouldn't be in it for very long.

(05:30):
The thing is too Peter Pan breaks down more during the day.
Like I can see it breaking down because it's either really slow queue because like let's
say there's a disabled passenger it's really hard to load them on.
And that takes a long time and sometimes the ride can break down and that also takes up

(05:51):
a lot of your time.
Like personally it would take like 15 to 20 minutes if it broke down and like 5 to 3 minutes
just for to get people back loading.
Yeah.
Alright I know you're new to podcasting.
Make sure you keep your mouth right close to that microphone so our listeners can hear.

(06:11):
Alright which park are we going to next for our rampage?
Alright so we're going to do Animal Kingdom.
I haven't been there in a while.
Animal Kingdom.
Okay so you're ready.
I get to give you it first right?
Or do you want to go first this time?
No you give it to me first.
Alright you're at Animal Kingdom.

(06:32):
It's like 7.30 in the morning because it opens so early there.
Are you going to rope drop rampage to Cali River Rapids or Expedition Everest?
They're both far.
They're not close to the entrance.
Where are you going to rope drop?
It's a tough one because I love both of the wet ride combination and the thrill ride combination.

(06:59):
I wish I could do both.
But personally I'm probably going to do Cali River Rapids.
Really?
Because, no let me finish.
So the...
Expedition Everest is just...
The thing is like I've rope dropped it and I've done it 10 times on a meeting my second

(07:23):
oldest brother.
I mean second youngest brother.
And my mother.
Yep that trip we did it like 8 times in a row.
8 times in one day yeah.
And the thing is that was like basically mid-day.
Because it wasn't really rope drop time.
So I could see that happening again.

(07:43):
I know it's kind of a special occasion for that to happen.
But it's really kind of...
You think you might get stuck in the Cali River Rapids line.
Yeah the thing is like you have to load.
Loading takes a long time for that.
And second of all the thing is you want to get wet in the morning.
And so you can like take Mount Everest later.

(08:05):
Oh and dry off.
To dry off because you're going straight down.
It's a big drop so yeah.
Okay.
I would take...
Alright get right into that mic and tell me what my options are here.
I know you can't see me too good but I want to make sure you hear me.
Remote shows.
There you go.
Are we going to do shows?

(08:25):
Is that what my choices are going to be?
Actually no I'm going to change it.
Alright what are we going to do in the Animal Kingdom?
We're going to do...
Dinosaurs.
Okay.
Or Avatar...
Passage of Flight.
Flight of Passage.
Flight of Passage.

(08:46):
I said that backwards.
So that's a tough one because they're both like...
You can get to them really quickly too.
It's about the same time you get to one.
The distance yeah.
I think I...
If I was rope dropping I would probably go to Flight of Passage.
Yeah I can see that because it's such a long line.

(09:07):
Like the queue just...
It's a pretty queue.
It's a beautiful queue.
Like I love having to wait to get to the next one.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
I love Tokyo.
I love having to wait there.
I don't like waiting there.
But it's something to watch while you're just waiting there.
Walking through.
Walking through.
But if you're there to just walk straight through.

(09:29):
Like you can take your time because there's not going to be much people like right at
it in the morning.
I mean there will be a lot of people.
But there's not going to be as much people as midday and afternoon.
Yeah the rest of the day.
So we got magic.
We got animal.
So which park are we going to hop to next?
We are heading over to Hollywood Studios.

(09:52):
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Alright you ready for this?
It's probably about 8am there because that usually opens by 9.
So it's 8am.
You've had your Joffrey's donut.
You've written Skyliner.
My Joffrey's donut is really good.
Skyliner which is fun.
Okay we're going to rope drop and you get these two options.

(10:14):
You ready?
Mmhmm.
I don't think you're going to be able to pick.
Rock and roller coaster or Tower of Terror.
You love both those rides.
But you got to pick one.
That's really hard because the sheer amount of times I've done Tower of Terror as a child

(10:39):
from like age 5 to what I am right now 10 basically 11 now.
I've done it so much.
And the thing is I kind of somewhat count Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout as
Tower of Terror except just a different story.
Basically.
Yeah because you're just watching a screen on Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout.

(11:01):
You're just watching a screen of them defeating whatever.
I don't watch Guardians of the Galaxy.
So I would probably have to go with Rock and Roller Coaster because the last two times
I've not been able to go Rock and Roller Coaster.
Oh because it's been down or broken.
Last time it was broken and it's under maintenance and refurbishment.

(11:27):
But the time before it broke down like while we were walking over there it broke down.
Oh devastating.
So you would pick you would rope drop that just because it's been so long.
The only thing is though I feel like if we were to rope drop right now we're going right
now on a trip it's still under refurbishment.
So that's also a problem.
But it would be nice.

(11:47):
In a perfect world if they're both open you'd go.
Yeah.
All right give me two.
What do I have to choose from?
So I know you love both of these rights.
I know you love both of these rights.
Okay all right.
Mickey and Maze Runaway Railway.
All right.
This is a really hard one for you and this other one's also going to give you a tough

(12:09):
time.
Okay.
We're counting chose to Frozen.
I'm not sure Frozen opens that early though.
That's the problem.
But if I had to pick between Frozen, Sing Along.
Yes.
Or Mickey and Maze.

(12:31):
When Frozen, Sing Along was ever that popular.
Because personally whenever I go there it's not that busy.
I mean I know the gates open early.
Yeah.
And like whenever it's whenever everyone's in and the doors close it's still not full
theater and the thing is Mickey and Maze Runaway Railway is a long long queue and you don't

(12:53):
want to be waiting in that.
So that's our choice.
Okay.
Let's say I think this is a world when Frozen, Halfway Sing Along was like a full queue every
single day.
It was just super packed.
Okay.
I think I would want to go to Mickey and Minnie just because I think I'd want to start my
day with a ride.

(13:14):
Like experience you know an attraction rather than just a show.
So but I love both of them.
You're right.
You do know me.
You know me pretty good don't you?
Yeah I do.
You've been to Disney with me a lot haven't you?
Yeah more than my father figure.
That's true.
I've taken I've taken you and then dad's taken some of our older.
Four times you've been with just us three me my second our second youngest brother and

(13:39):
two.
Yeah.
No it's three.
Yeah but that third time we went out to Disneyland when dad was already there.
Okay that's I mean it's kind of.
Yeah.
Okay so what do we have left now?
Which parks left?
Oh okay so we got Epcot left.
Epcot.

(14:00):
Let's do Disney Springs too because there is some somewhat attractions there.
Okay so.
Like let's say like these things.
Things we do there.
Yeah.
Okay so here's your scenario Henry.
Henry Arthur MacGuy.
Uh huh.
Okay you got rope drop you're there at like eight o'clock.

(14:21):
You could go to Ratatouille.
Also just to point this out.
Virtual queues we can do.
Like let's say you get a virtual queue but like let's say the virtual queue isn't a thing.
Isn't part of the scenario.
Yeah so you can do guardians and that wouldn't I wouldn't really care.
Oh okay.
Well I was gonna say.

(14:41):
I'd say it's Rise of the Resistance if it was later.
Okay.
In the time.
Okay so at Epcot Henry you have these two options Ratatouille.
Okay.
Okay.
Or.
Test track.
Oh.
I knew I'd get you there.
Yeah I knew you would.

(15:02):
Because this is a very packed.
Very big and a lot of.
You love both of these.
Yeah I do love both of these.
Alright so where are you going?
You heading back to France or you going over to test track?
Give me a moment I think.
But the thing is.
If you were to go to Ratatouille you would have to walk so far away.

(15:25):
In test track you wouldn't.
I guess it depends on which entrance.
I didn't say which entrance.
Okay that's true.
Which entrance.
Because they're both.
There's two entrances.
The one from Skyliner and what's that hotel near?
I forgot we stayed at their once.
Beach Club.
Beach Club.
Yeah Beach Club is really close to it so you can just walk over there from Beach Club.
Okay.
Is that what I'm thinking of?

(15:48):
I'm not sure if that's what it is.
Yeah it's Beach Club and Boardwalk and Yacht Club.
All those are right by.
Yeah Beachwalk, Board Club and Yacht Club.
Okay which one are you picking?
Ratatouille?
There's a straight entrance from the Monorail.
I'm going to do that side.
So you're entering.
The International Gateway is the name of that one.
Yes.
Okay so which ride are you going to?
So test track.
There's a single rider.
Ah true.

(16:08):
But isn't there a single rider in Ratatouille?
No.
Okay.
I don't think so.
Should I look that up?
I can please.
We can look it up after we record this but I'm pretty sure that there's no single rider.
So what are you picking then?
No.
I'm going to have to do Ratatouille because the thing is, Ratatouille, if you start to

(16:35):
like, it's just.
You don't want to wait in that line later huh?
No you do not because we've had experience like our Fastpass.
So we had a day on reservation.
But we also had a Fastpass, whatever you want to call it, Lightning Lane Fastpass.
I'm going to call it Fastpass.

(16:55):
Okay.
If you would have a Fastpass, that would be perfectly fine if you're in the middle of
the day.
Fastpass, Lightning Lane are perfect for busy themed, busy attractions in the middle of
the day because you can skip through that whole line.
But sometimes it depends on what the ride is.

(17:16):
Seven Dwarfs, even that Fastpass lane is still quite long.
Right.
But so I'm going to have to go with Ratatouille.
Yeah I've said that once again.
Because of the.
Not such a cute ride.
It is.
And it's fun.
Like the.
How often do you get to be the size of a rat and go around in the kitchen?

(17:38):
Yeah and also.
I've only done that two times because I've only.
So one time I was there, I went to Epcot and this was just a us three trip.
Yeah.
I've said that a lot of times.
And so we were going to Epcot, but we also stayed in the DVC lounge, but we weren't keeping

(18:02):
track of time.
You know we weren't.
Okay.
That's what I think.
Yes.
And so we were going to do Ratatouille, but we kind of wanted to chill and we didn't realize
what time it was.
We also wanted to do Ratatouille, but we've done everything else we wanted to do.
We did Guardians twice.
We did Test Truck twice?
Or three times.
Could be, yeah.
And so and then we had a bunch of fun at the end of Test Track and so we just were.

(18:28):
Yeah.
So we missed Ratatouille.
Yeah we missed Ratatouille.
So that's why I would pick Ratatouille because I love the ride because it's just.
It's fun.
Yeah.
Hey give me my Epcot scenario here.
Frozen happily ever after.
Okay.
Frozen ever after.
Frozen ever after.

(18:49):
We love it.
Okay.
This is going to be tricky.
What's the second option?
I kind of forgot what I was going to do now.
I had it in my head before we even started this.
Frozen ever after.
Your Spaceship Earth or Sorin.
No, neither of those two because I know you don't like Spaceship Earth nearly as much as

(19:11):
what I was thinking of.
I forgot.
Okay.
All right.
Not the three Caviaros.
Let's see.
Figment.
Not Figment.
That's not you right either.
Nemo.
Nemo.
I know you like Nemo.
Test Track.
Test Track.
But that was already.

(19:33):
Guardians and Frozen ever after.
That's a tough one.
That's what I have to pick.
Oh my goodness.
That is a really tough one.
I'm surprised though you didn't earlier before whenever you're doing it to me.
I thought you were going to put Guardians in there but you didn't.
Well that was a shocker.
If I had to pick between Frozen ever after and Guardians I would pick Guardians.

(19:53):
Are you shocked?
No.
I love Frozen ever after.
I know you do.
I do love a thrill and that's Guardians is definitely a thrill.
Yeah no Guardians it's also one of my favorites there.
It's in between Ratatouille, Test Track and Guardians.
So I thought it was a really good ride.
I thought that was a good pick.

(20:15):
Alright well I don't really have a Disney Springs one.
You give me one more and then we'll wrap it up for our bonus episode.
We can try to think of some.
Because it's kind of boring.
Only one of us doing it on one theme park.
How about the.
So I know a lot of people don't know about this but there is cars with boat wheels and

(20:38):
you can pedal and there's a lake around Disney Springs.
And so you can rent one of those for it.
It's kind of overpriced.
It's like $100 for one car.
But it is a really cool experience to have.
And so that or the Blimp.
Let's say both of these things have a line which is not half of it.

(21:03):
Like both these things have a line.
Both these things are kind of like demanded attractions.
So this or the Blimp.
The hot air balloon.
Like both of these have a line.
If I had to pick between the two I'd do the boat car.
That just seems more fun.
I think the hot air balloon would.
You'd get a cool view of stuff but I think I'd want to be able to move around.

(21:28):
So that's I guess why don't you answer it.
What would yours be?
Because there's not really anything.
Yeah that's better.
That's better to say.
I would do.
So I would also.
Neither of us have ever done either of these.
So we've never done this but I've watched YouTube videos sometimes about Disney and
so I was like oh I didn't know that was a thing.

(21:49):
There's a lot of things I don't know.
I didn't know about Disney before this.
It's a whole world right?
I know.
Like you can get a haircut at Magna Kingdom over on the right side of Main Street halfway
through like the whole street.
The Main Street area.
Wow.
It's kind of crazy to think that.
All the stuff.

(22:10):
Yeah.
Yeah you can also ride a horse.
Like you're not going to do that and especially not in Disney.
Yeah that's true.
It's kind of.
It sounds weird but it is kind of magical.
It's an option.
Okay.
All right.
Hot air balloon or boat car.
Boat ride.
Because first of all.
Because you'd be there with me.
I have no faith.
Zero faith in the hot air balloon.
Okay.

(22:30):
I see it flying half the time but I look up there I don't even see a person in there.
I have no idea.
And so a boat ride also.
You got more control there in the boat.
Yeah and I can swim.
Yeah that's true.
You can't fly.
I'm flying mom.

(22:51):
Oh my gosh Henry.
This is so fun.
This is a great.
This is great to think about and you know it is a kind of a game but it is reality because
when we go we have to make decisions.
Like someone's got to decide.
You got it.
You can't be in two places at once.
Yeah because like sometimes whenever it's seven o'clock and the lines are kind of short

(23:13):
but we don't put the park closes at eight like how Animal Kingdom closes at seven and
it's six thirty.
Yeah.
But both the lines are short like now Everest is ten minutes.
Cali River Rapids is fifteen to ten minutes.
Yep.
You got to decide.
You got to decide.
So this is also kind of a fun like plot game.

(23:33):
Yeah.
Awesome.
Well thanks for.
