I have great news for y'all today! Your health is not strictly determined by your genetics. As a matter of fact, you have a lot more control over your personal health destiny than you have been told! In this episode I do a quick flyover explanation of genetics, DNA, RNA and mRNA then get into the powerful influence of Epigenetics! It is a fascinating and exciting topic that I do hope you will take time to listen to because it outlines the ways our internal and external environment influences genetic expression. Studies have shown that what medium a cell is exposed to will determine how it divides. It is the medium or the chemical information in the blood that determines the fate of a cell, not the genes! (Thank you, Dr. Bruce Lipton!) So, it is crucial to understand what is influencing the chemical information then assess how our lifestyle choices play a role. You will be surprised at how much your daily habits, environment and thoughts can contribute to a more optimal YOU. These are not radical, expensive adjustments to make but small, intentional steps that make big, impactful changes to how you think, feel and look. This episode is short but jam packed with informative and encouraging nuggets. You may want to get a pen for this one! If you are interested in exploring this topic in greater depth: check out Dr. Bruce Lipton's book "Biology of Belief" https://www.brucelipton.com/books/biology-of-belief/ and / or Enroll in my Creating Wholeness Course https://wendimichelle.learnworlds.com/course/creatingwholeness which has an entire module dedicated to Epigenetics and how to apply this information to your life. Thank you for listening. Tell a friend so y'all can be whole, healthy and free together! YOU ARE AMAZING and I love you!

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
