Cim is no stranger to overcoming adversity; in fact she’s had more than her fair share, from a life-changing injury that forced her to dash her dreams as a professional dancer, to the ensuing chronic pain that has stuck around till this day. Yet all of these experiences couldn’t prepare her for when her husband experienced a severe brain injury one year into their marriage. She talks candidly about the impact on their relationship, readjusting to life, and their infamous neurosurgeon that gained notoriety for all the wrong reasons. I also share my brain injury story, as we discuss the ups and downs of recovery, and how a certain mindset might’ve made all the difference.
