Kia ora ano!
Welcome back to another episode of WDYPLT, our penultimate episode of Season 1! (But don't worry, we've already got heaps of good stuff cooking for season 2!!) This week on the pod I was joined by the one-of-a-kind, OG influencer, good vibes, keeping it real, not afraid to speak up Rebecca J Keil!!
Rebecca (@rebeccajkeil) is such a cooool lady. She keeps it so real, and is so self-aware, but isn't a dick! She's fun, and makes you feel like her best friend. She also has a brain. She is smart, y'all. The way she talks about her privilege, her choices, her values, her decisions, she is so considered and thoughtful.
As I say in the intro, I chose to keep her sixth question in the main episode this week because I just think it's an answer that every single person needs to hear, particularly every New Zealander. If you hear Rebecca's sixth question and realise you'd like to hear other people's secret sixth questions, you can subscribe to my substack at any time! If you subscribe before the end of July 100% of your money will go to Gaza relief! You'll even get to find out EARLY which family member is going to be interviewed in the SEASON 1 FINALE EPISODE!
Speaking of Gaza relief, stream, stream, stream so we can get the maximum amount of money donated to mutual aid funds!

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
