In this episode of Why Mindset Matters, I explore how my definition of happiness has radically shifted since losing my daughter, Rylee. For a long time, I thought happiness was supposed to be loud, obvious, and permanent — but grief cracked that illusion wide open.

I share how I learned to hold both joy and sorrow without apology, and how I’ve made space for meaning, even when life doesn’t feel light. It’s about breaking up with performative positivity and giving yourself full permission to define happiness in a way that actually fits who you are now, not who you used to be.
