In 1996, a college student vanished from her dorm at Nanjing University. Days later, her butchered, dismembered, boiled remains were found scattered across the city, over 2,000 pieces in total. The victim was 19 year old Diao Aiqing, a quiet, hardworking freshman whose brutal killing earned her the nickname "China’s Black Dahlia." Nearly 30 years later, her murder remains unsolved, and the killer has never been found.
