On the 8th of September 2013, 31-year-old Morgan Huxley was dropped off just outside his flat in Sydney’s Neutral Bay suburb after he and several of his friends attended an engagement party in nearby Lane Cove. Morgan tried to convince his friends to come have one more drink with him, but it was already almost 1 in the morning, so they told him that they were going to head home. Morgan walked into The Oakes Hotel, which housed his favorite pub, and ordered a beer. But Morgan didn’t know that someone across the street carefully watched him through the glass of the pub as he sipped his beer and watched TV, and when he left 30 minutes later, he had no idea that someone was following him down the street, waiting to strike.
