Lewis Clark Valley spans the area from Lewiston, Idaho to Clarkston, Washington and lies at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. The area is often referred to as the gateway to Hell’s Canyon and offers a ton of recreational opportunities like rafting, swimming, camping, wine tasting and much more. Today, it’s hard to imagine anything less than fun and games in Lewis Clark Valley, but in the late 1970s and early 80s, the valley was the site of 5 mysterious murders and disappearances which have been attributed to an unknown person or persons, frequently referred to as the Snake River Killer.
