Once a season I like to dive into the history of Horror and revisit one of the great works that helped to shape the genre. Today’s story is written by none other than Roald Dahl. Despite being renowned for children’s literature. Roald Dahl was a huge fan of Horror, and especially enjoyed a good ghost story. In fact he has a collection of horror stories available at your local book store called “Roald Dahl’s Book of Ghost Stories. He read more 700 spooky tales and collected the best 14 of them into this book. Our tale today was first published in 1959, the 28th day of November in a print piece called ‘the New Yorker’. Sit back and now and enjoy Roald Dahls dark tale… The Land Lady.
