A credit report is a compilation of information detailing how you live up to your financial commitments. Why is it important? This report will give any financier an indication on whether they should lend you funds based on your past behaviour. A tarnished credit file might stop the application or might require you to jump some hurdles to get this repaired before finance will be granted. An impaired credit file can stop you from getting a job or renting a place to live or obtaining utilities services. It’s arguably the most important financial document in an adult's financial life. In this episode Barry Wilkinson discusses the importance of a credit file, and steps you can take right now to make sure yours is protected during challenging times.
