A sealed lab, a tank of pink mist, and a hidden elevator to a place no one should see—our run-and-gun infiltration turns into a sprint against a one-hour countdown to total immolation. We gear up with scavenged Kevlar, swap weapons under stress, and bluff our way into sub-level three to confront the elusive Dr. Thorpe. Behind hastily closed blinds, his chilling reveal rewrites the rules: the threat isn’t airborne or bite-based. It’s a biocataclysm nicknamed “the rust” that hijacks the human appendix as an incubator, triggered by UV light. If you’ve had your appendix removed, you may be immune. If you haven’t, sunrise is the fuse.

When Thorpe slams a panic switch and initiates Security Threat Five, we pivot from interrogation to escape planning. We track down a new lab hire—the one still scrubbing a bloody handprint from her coat—and persuade her to help us navigate the maze. She points to sub-level two and a long tunnel that leads into the desert. The route is anything but clean: a tense run past armed personnel, a near-miss with recognition, a scramble for vehicle keys, shots fired, and a messy, desperate launch in a Humvee into darkness. Along the way, we weigh hard truths: a facility built to burn itself clean, a world where immunity might be elective, and a message that could save lives if we can carry it far enough.

Expect fast moves, sharp turns, and a balance of gallows humor and high-stakes strategy. We dig into deception as a survival tactic, the ethics of containment, and how a “useless” organ becomes the axis of fate. If you’re into post-apocalyptic science, survival horror, immersive roleplay, and cinematic tension, this chapter delivers. Hit play, ride with us down the tunnel, and tell us: would you gamble everything on a bluff and a rumor of daylight? Subscribe, share with a friend, and drop a review to help more survivors find the show.

SPEAKER_01 (01:38):
If I have the AR, you should have more handgun

I think uh I think I need more ammo.
Let's let's trade.

SPEAKER_05 (01:46):
Yeah, good.
You guys switch weapons now.

SPEAKER_02 (01:50):
So what do you think?
I think we go straight down tosub-level three.
Oh.
I don't really know what we cancome across.
If we go down to level one, uhall of the gates, all of the
doors and windows are sealed.
I don't think they're gonna letus out.
We're not going out the frontdoor.

SPEAKER_01 (02:03):
Where is that scientist at?

SPEAKER_02 (02:05):

We have a key card for sub-levelthree now.
We take all of their key cards, but I say we make a try for
sub-level three.

SPEAKER_01 (02:12):
I'm not gonna lie, man.
I I hit I hit my pen while youwere bandaging up, so I'm kind
of whatever you want.

SPEAKER_02 (02:18):
Let's do that, but here's what I need you to do.
As soon as we get down there,we're going to act like we're
them.
We belong there.
There's no issue.
If they start questioning us,why are we down, why are you
down here?
We're responding to the threatthat was on level four.
They took out the two medicalpersonnel and we got them and
we're coming to report.
He's nodding.

(02:39):
Yeah, that's what we're doing.
That's what we're doing.

SPEAKER_05 (02:41):
Sure.
Directly down to sub-levelthree?

SPEAKER_02 (02:44):
Directly down to sub-level three.

SPEAKER_05 (02:45):
Yeah.
Uh all right.
So you guys walk into theelevator, um, into the little
hidden elevator behind theelevator.
Uh, and you see all the floorsunder each button.
There's a place to scan thecard.
You s you scan sub-level threeand you press the button.
Kajunk! The uh the elevatorshuts and you feel a sudden drop

(03:06):
and you're dropping really fast.
Oh.
And then you stop.

unknown (03:10):
Boo!

SPEAKER_05 (03:11):
Entering sub-level three.
I try to make myself look alittle more composed.
Um, as you guys uh as the doorsare opening, uh, scientist walks
past.

SPEAKER_02 (03:20):
He's like, What the hell are you guys doing on this
floor?
We came to report.
We dealt with the issue that wason level four.
They attacked.

SPEAKER_05 (03:27):
You don't report to anybody down here.
You're supposed to report tolevel four.

SPEAKER_02 (03:31):
No, they told us to come here.

SPEAKER_05 (03:32):
Eh, whatever.
I don't get paid enough for thisshit.
Walks away.

unknown (03:36):
You did really good.

SPEAKER_02 (03:37):
We gotta find that doctor.
How many doctors are in thisroom?
We gotta scan, we gotta lookaround.

SPEAKER_05 (03:41):
You know, scan the room.
Scan the room.
So you you walk out of theelevator and you're scanning the
room.
You s it's a giant cave.
Uh on all around the edges ofthe walls there are various
walkways uh that connect to uhglass offices.
Uh you can see uh various labequipment everywhere.

(04:05):
Um and in the middle of the roomthere's a giant tank full of
pink mist.

SPEAKER_02 (04:12):
That's that shit that we saw when those things
explode, it emits that pink shitin the middle.
Do you see that?

SPEAKER_01 (04:20):
I took my mom here for an MRI one.

SPEAKER_02 (04:24):
Dude, you gotta get it together.
They're gonna fucking kill us.

SPEAKER_05 (04:30):
Eric, did I mention your uh your character's name is
Jarek?
I don't I don't know if youcaught that.
I said you're wearing a jeanjeans, a jean jacket.

SPEAKER_01 (04:40):
I did not catch that.
I did not catch that, but thatis hilarious.
I know exactly who I am now.

SPEAKER_05 (04:52):
That's a uh inside joke to uh the listeners, uh
that you won't know.
I was in a band once.
He was he was in a band once.

SPEAKER_03 (05:02):
Get it together.
Control yourself.

SPEAKER_05 (05:05):
That's what you guys see.
What are you doing next?

SPEAKER_02 (05:08):
Okay, we need to find that doctor that came over
the radio or over the PA.
Okay.
Um You're too stoned.
You don't remember his name.
I was too I was in too muchpain.
We're gonna walk around, actlike we belong here, and we find
a different doctor than the onewe just saw.

SPEAKER_01 (05:27):
Excuse me.

SPEAKER_05 (05:28):
I I grabbed the nearest person walking by.
Uh it's a uh a female scientist.
It's like, ew, get the fuck offme.
You're covered in blood.

SPEAKER_02 (05:35):
Um yeah, that's what happens when you get into a
firefight.
Can you tell us who I'm supposedto report to?
I just fucking started here.

SPEAKER_05 (05:43):
I'm sorry.
Have you seen upstairs?
Any any fucking person wouldknow you're you guys are
supposed to report to levelfour.
The highest person withclearance down here is Dr.
Thorpe.

SPEAKER_02 (05:53):
That that's who we're supposed to come and talk
to.
That guy.
We just dealt with something upthere that they told us we
needed to come down here for.

SPEAKER_04 (05:59):
Well, the fuck do you want from me?
I want to know where is he?
He's down there next to thecontainment unit.
Thank you.

SPEAKER_01 (06:06):
We walk away.

SPEAKER_05 (06:08):
As you're walking away, she's just like looking at
her pristine white lab coat andlooks on her shoulders, the
bloody hand print.

SPEAKER_02 (06:18):
That's fucking awesome, Jarek.
Thank you for doing that.

SPEAKER_00 (06:21):
I got it.

SPEAKER_02 (06:22):
All right, let's go to this doctor.
Now look, he's gonna knowinstantaneously that we're not
who we're pretending to be.
So the second we go in there, weneed to be ready for one of two
results.
We pull a gun on him and we tellhim to sit the fuck down and
shut the fuck up and not makeany noise.
If he's afraid for his life,he'll comply.
Now, the more likely is we'regonna then have to fight for our
lives to get out of here.

(06:43):
Because this guy's not gonnacare, and he's gonna set off
every alarm, and the whole placeis gonna come down on our heads.
I'm glad you're too high tocare.

SPEAKER_01 (06:50):
I think I got it.

SPEAKER_02 (06:51):
Let's go.
We're gonna we're probably gonnadie.

SPEAKER_01 (06:53):
He's going to uh we're gonna go talk to is he in
like his own separate room or isthis like wide out in the in the
middle of the open?

SPEAKER_05 (07:01):
So when you walked out the elevator, you've seen
catwalks everywhere, right?
In the big center areas whereyou've seen it's a big tank full
of the pink mist, um and that'slike kind of elevated above
everything.
Below that, you there's a lab.
Um to do where and he's in thelab.

SPEAKER_01 (07:19):
Can everybody see into the lab?
Uh it's yeah, it's everything'sall the walls are glass.
Are we we're just going in?
Are we being discreet?

SPEAKER_02 (07:26):
We're just going in.
We're gonna go in.

SPEAKER_01 (07:29):
Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (07:30):
Hold on, hold on.
Let me let me see everybody cansee.
It's a big glass lab.
Okay, change of plans.
I thought we were going intothat office over there.
I thought that was this guy.
If everybody can see us,somebody out here is gonna hit
an alarm.
So what we've gotta do is comeand tell him I need to look over
your your uniform.

(07:51):
Uh do you have a name patch onyou?
I'm checking his his uniform fora name patch.
Does he have one?

SPEAKER_05 (07:58):
See a bloody smear on a uh name patch.
The name is Finch.

SPEAKER_02 (08:04):
Okay.
Finch.
And what's the name on my myname patch?

SPEAKER_05 (08:08):
Your name patch is pretty pristine.
It says Joseph.

SPEAKER_02 (08:11):
So Finch and Joseph.
Okay.
We're gonna go and try to tellthis doctor that those two
medical personnel who came upthat when you said it was all
clear, more came down from thefourth floor.
Okay.
And we were caught by surprise, and they told us to get down
here and find out what we'redealing with and how do we put

(08:31):
them down easier?
You got it?
I think so.
Let me do the talking.

SPEAKER_03 (08:35):
Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (08:36):
We're gonna go straight into the lab, and I'm
walking straight up to this guylike I'm a fucking pissed-off
soldier, which I am, and I'mgonna demand answers.
So we're walking in there.

SPEAKER_01 (08:46):
That's walking in there.
As we walk in, I'm gonna kind oflook around.
Are there any blinds?
Yes.
I'm gonna kind of casually just, you know, walk over and start
closing some blinds.

SPEAKER_05 (09:00):
Okay, as you're as you're walking into the main lab
in the center, uh, you see aquite lengthy, very thin, um,
short-haired scientist with uhglasses.
He's not paying any attention toyou.
He seems very absorbed in thework he's doing.
Uh and you're gonna be able todo it.
Are you Dr.
Thorpe?
Yeah, I'm closing blinds as he'stalking.

(09:22):
Uh you say that and he doesn'trespond.

SPEAKER_02 (09:25):
I walk up right next to him and I slam my fist with
the gun in in my hand.
I slam it down onto the table.

SPEAKER_01 (09:34):
Shoots himself in the left arm.

SPEAKER_02 (09:36):
No, stop it.
He's hard.
These are dual action pistols.
They don't go off from dropping.

SPEAKER_05 (09:57):
That's so fucking funny.
Um, okay.
Um, as you slam the pistol intothe uh the table, he uh he turns
to look at you and he's uh whatare you doing in here?

SPEAKER_01 (10:13):
What's with that response, huh?

SPEAKER_02 (10:15):
So we just came down from upstairs and we're watching
these things explode everywhere.
Now, they were supposed to becleared.
Why were they not cleared?
What are these things?

SPEAKER_01 (10:30):
Wouldn't let me know when the blinds wouldn't you
already know that?
Let me know when the blinds areclosed.
All the blinds are closed.
I pull out my gun.
Get out on the ground! Get onthe ground, motherfucker!

SPEAKER_02 (10:40):
I put my pistol to his head.
What are these things?
Why don't you know?
Let's not worry about what Iknow or don't know, Doctor.
Let's worry about the fact thatyour big beautiful brains will
be scattered all over the floorhere, and it'll be a big waste
of all of your life if you don'tjust talk about it.
Okay, okay.
What the hell are these things?

SPEAKER_04 (11:00):
Okay, I'll Okay.
What do you want to know?
I want to know what they are.

SPEAKER_02 (11:05):
What did you do?

SPEAKER_05 (11:06):
Well, it's not what we did.
It's what we can't do.
We can't stop it.

SPEAKER_02 (11:14):
This has been inevitable from the start.
And who authorized this kind ofactivity?

SPEAKER_05 (11:19):
It's listen, man, I I just I'm I'm just a scientist.

SPEAKER_02 (11:25):
Roll a D20.
You better not fucking tell me Ishot.

SPEAKER_01 (11:30):
If you hit a one, you shoot yourself in the arm
again.
Eleven.
Okay, you don't shoot yourselfin the arm.

SPEAKER_05 (11:35):
You don't shoot yourself in the arm again.
But if it was a one, I was gonnasay you shoot yourself in the
arm.
How?
How is that even possible?

SPEAKER_01 (11:46):
My arm is completely bad technique, man.
It's completely splinted up.
Get better technique.

SPEAKER_05 (11:53):
Uh you hit him with the butt of your gun and he
falls to the floor.

SPEAKER_04 (11:58):
Um he's like, please, just let me what do you
want?
Yeah, I point the gun directlyat him.

SPEAKER_01 (12:05):
Really sh shabbily kick him in the thigh.

SPEAKER_02 (12:07):
I want to know how I can get out of here.
I'm not gonna die in here withyou losers.

SPEAKER_05 (12:13):
You can't.
We're on a security threat four.
There's no way to deauthorizeit.
Okay, speak English.
When window thing goes shut, wecan't leave!

SPEAKER_01 (12:24):
Okay, you should hit him again.

SPEAKER_02 (12:26):
So at what point is all of the window things gonna
open up again?
They're not.
You're telling me that you allare gonna be locked in here
forever?

SPEAKER_05 (12:38):
If we can't find a way to get rid of this, we're
gonna go to security threatfive.
And what's gonna happen?
Total immolation.
Tot Total Emolation?

SPEAKER_04 (12:54):
When window thing goes shut, fire! Think of an
oven, it's the only thingthat'll kill this.

SPEAKER_01 (13:00):
I'm starting to see why this guy's alone in a room.

SPEAKER_02 (13:03):
And how do they have this all through the entire
hospital?
Has it already been pre-planned?

SPEAKER_05 (13:08):
We've When we found out about what this thing was,
we we we built this place.
We're trying to contain it, butit's too late.

SPEAKER_02 (13:19):
Nah, I'm not gonna accept that.
We're not gonna die in here withyou.
If you're not gonna tell me howI can get out of here or how I
can override the system, thenyou're no use to me.
And if you're no use to me, thenI have no keep you alive.
Okay, speak.

SPEAKER_05 (13:34):
I need you to understand that what's happening
isn't an airborne pathogen.
It's not a bite, it's abiocataclysmic event that's
entirely dependent on one thing.
And and that would be ourappendix.
Everybody here doesn't have one,or else you've already turned.

SPEAKER_01 (13:51):
Oh, I I had mine out as a kid.

SPEAKER_05 (13:54):
W We identified this viral agent, and we we we call
it corpusculum rubigenosis.
You can call it the rust forhuman speak, as you say, Finch.
Our research showed that thehuman body has a failsafe.
Our organs are for the most partcan fight it off, but the virus

(14:15):
has a singular terrifyingweakness, or rather a singular
terrifying strength.
It uses our appendix as anincubator.
So anybody you know who has oneis already gone.

SPEAKER_02 (14:28):
So wait, you're telling me that this thing is
already outside of this hospitaland you're still locking us in
here?
It's it's begun to mutate.
I'm sure you've seen it.

SPEAKER_01 (14:38):
The kid?

SPEAKER_05 (14:39):
Think of your appendix as a pressure valve.
It gets hijacked.
And when the sun comes up, theUV rays don't kill the virus.
It triggers a hypermutationwithin the appendix, and it
ruptures and begins to emanateacid.
Uh, we we call it the rust.

SPEAKER_01 (15:00):
I look over at at uh You buying this bullshit?
Or I look over at his arm.
I mean, I don't I don't know.

SPEAKER_03 (15:10):
And once the gas touches you, you turn!

SPEAKER_01 (15:13):
Unless you don't have an appendix.

SPEAKER_03 (15:15):
Unless you don't have an appendix.
I don't have an appendix.
Clearly.
Well fuck it, lucky you! Do youhave an appendix?
I don't have to worry aboutthat.
I'm underground.
I look up at the tree above us.

SPEAKER_02 (15:35):
No, you're definitely gonna have to worry
about this, doctor.
Because you're getting us out ofhere.

SPEAKER_03 (15:43):
What do you expect me to do?

SPEAKER_01 (15:45):
What's up there, Doctor?

SPEAKER_05 (15:54):
Oh that.
That's a little thing I've beenworking on.

SPEAKER_01 (16:01):
I don't like the way you say that.

SPEAKER_02 (16:03):
I'm gonna hit him again.

SPEAKER_01 (16:05):
Thank you.
Fools!

unknown (16:13):
Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (16:16):
I don't No, I I don't think you understand,
Doctor.
You are going to be a humanshield.
So we are on sub-level three.
We have key cards to sub-levelfour and to level one.

SPEAKER_01 (16:32):
I check the the scientist's pockets.
Does he have a key card fornumber two?

SPEAKER_05 (16:37):
Uh you check his pockets and he does indeed have
one.
Um I take that.

SPEAKER_02 (16:42):
So where what is on sub-level four and sub-level
two?
Fuck you.
Fuck me.
No, no, no, no, Doctor.
I'm the one with the gun.

SPEAKER_01 (16:53):
Uh hey.

SPEAKER_02 (16:54):
You might want to rethink this.

SPEAKER_01 (16:55):
Doctor, I saw this guy get blown literally blown
up, and he's still walking, so II would honestly change my
opinion if I were you.

SPEAKER_02 (17:03):
I've been blown up and shot, Doctor.
Three times.

SPEAKER_05 (17:07):
As as you guys are, you know, yelling at this this
poor, poor scientist.
He's so innocent.
He reaches under the table andpresses a button.
Of course he did.
I gotta put one in his head.
Shh.
Um Okay.
Security protocol fiveactivated.

SPEAKER_03 (17:27):
Complete emulation eminent.
T minus one hour.
So time to move.

SPEAKER_02 (17:37):
I put one in his head and we go.

SPEAKER_03 (17:39):
Okay.

SPEAKER_05 (17:42):
Right before right before you're like pulling the
uh the gun on him.
He's just laughing maniacally.

SPEAKER_02 (17:47):
We're gonna go out.
We gotta go find that doctorwith the bloody handprint.
She's new, she doesn't give ashit.
She's gonna want out of here.

SPEAKER_01 (17:56):
Okay, we step out.
I'm scanning around for the forthe handprint.

SPEAKER_05 (18:00):
Uh you see her in the probably like eight offices
away.
Um she's washing off her coat inthe sink, trying to get the
blood out.

SPEAKER_02 (18:12):
We run and catch her.

SPEAKER_05 (18:14):
Uh you get to her, she's like, hey the what the
fuck are you doing?

SPEAKER_02 (18:17):
Look, we need your help.
Like I said, I'm I'm I just gothere.

SPEAKER_01 (18:22):
Do you wanna die?
Do you know what that means?
This alarm?

SPEAKER_02 (18:27):
That's I don't know, man.
I just they're gonna destroythis whole building with all of
us in it.

SPEAKER_01 (18:33):
Yeah, you're crazed though.
Whatever he was down there, thatlittle mad scientist over there,
he pressed a button.
That's gonna burn us all up.
So if you know anything, wecould use your help.

SPEAKER_02 (18:44):
We've got key cards, we can get to every sublevel and
back up to level one.
We just need any help you cangive us.
Tell us anything you know.
Or did you not know that theywere gonna burn you alive in
here?

SPEAKER_05 (18:56):
Man, this is really a drag, man.
Shit, I know.
I know that sub-level two has anexit.
An exit?
Yeah, a long tunnel heads outinto the desert, I think.
Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (19:11):
You lead the way, we'll take you with us.

SPEAKER_05 (19:13):
I mean, what is there for me out there?

SPEAKER_02 (19:15):
What is there for you in here?

SPEAKER_05 (19:16):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (19:16):
My parents are dead, I have nothing left.
So you want to stay here?
What else is there for me?
I don't know.
A ch a chance.
Try.
Try to make a future.
Do something.
Use your brains to makesomething good of this.
Help us.
Try to fix this thing.
Look, we learned from thisdoctor that people without an
appendix can survive this.

(19:38):
Everybody on earth can survivewithout an appendix.
There's uh there's a known cure.
All we gotta do is tell people.

SPEAKER_05 (19:45):
I mean, unless you're underground or hidden
from the like a unless you'reseverely depressed and you're
inside all your life and you'dnever experienced UV radiation,
you're not good, you're gonnaturn.

SPEAKER_02 (19:59):
No, the doctor said if you don't have an appendix,
you won't turn.
I got burned by this stuff overan hour ago, and I haven't
turned.
You know what?
That's because I had my appendixout.
Fuck it.

SPEAKER_01 (20:10):
Let's go.
Right?
That's what I was thinking.
Uh so we make our way to the tothe elevator if it's still
working.
Uh the elevator is stillworking.
You gonna go up somewhere?

SPEAKER_02 (20:21):
Sub-level two.

SPEAKER_01 (20:22):
Yeah, we'll we'll head to sub-level two.
And as we click the buttons andas the the doors close and we're
sitting there, kind of insilence for a little bit, I'm
gonna kinda you know, I I wantedto ask that doctor a question.
Never got those MRI results frommy mom, so I just I kinda wish
you would have been like, do youhave anything left to ask him
before you, you know, just I'msorry.

SPEAKER_02 (20:44):
I didn't think that he was actually affiliated with
this hospital.
I've never seen him here a day.

SPEAKER_01 (20:49):
I've seen my career here.
You just you just don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (20:52):
So he's not an authorized doctor on the list.
I know all of the doctors here.
Oh well, you didn't know therewere sub-levels.
He didn't work on your mom.
He didn't work on your mom.
I hate you, bum.

SPEAKER_01 (21:04):
And then the doors open on the elevator.

SPEAKER_02 (21:08):
Sub level two.
Okay, Doc, where do we go?
Uh to the left.

unknown (21:15):
Act natural.

SPEAKER_02 (21:16):
We act like we belong here, Doc.
Just lead the way as if you'retaking us somewhere that you're
supposed to be taking us.

SPEAKER_01 (21:22):
I look very not natural.
You guys are walking.

SPEAKER_05 (21:27):
Stand straight.
Walks blood on her shoulderstill.
It's very smeared now.
I'm biting my nail as we walk.

SPEAKER_02 (21:35):
There's blood everywhere.

SPEAKER_05 (21:36):
There's guys with guns walking past you.
There's military vehicles, there's various people with, you
know, talking and blah blah blahblah blah.
You know, you're walking pastand hey Finch! Dude, I haven't
seen you since the academy.
Uh what's go what's going on,dude?

SPEAKER_01 (21:55):
On special business.
I I hold my hand out.
I try I try to just keep going.

SPEAKER_05 (22:00):
What the fuck is wrong with him?
Is he sick or something?
Why does he sound like that?
It's all high pitched and whiny.
Just go okay.

SPEAKER_03 (22:10):
I don't think I sound that whiny.
Also, he seemed taller before.
I just keep walking away.
Eh, it's probably fine.
Keeps walking.
Good job.

SPEAKER_02 (22:27):
Try not to talk.
Let me do the talking for you ifanybody else comes up.

SPEAKER_06 (22:32):
Yeah, they're pretty good though.

SPEAKER_05 (22:34):
Um as you guys are walking, you uh on your right
side you see uh three tunnelsburrowed through the earth.
Uh they're very long, you can'tsee what's at the end of them.
Um they it they're like endlessum yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (22:51):
Uh are they big enough for a a vehicle?
Like a Humvee?

SPEAKER_05 (22:56):
They are big enough for a vehicle, yes.

SPEAKER_02 (22:58):
Doc, do you think we could get one of these Humvees
and take it down that tunnel?

SPEAKER_05 (23:02):
I mean whatever we gotta do.
Do you know how to hot wire?

SPEAKER_02 (23:08):
No, they leave keys.

SPEAKER_01 (23:09):
Yeah, they would leave keys in the in these.

SPEAKER_05 (23:11):
That's a very weird presumption.
I I feel like I'd like that it'sit's weird knowledge that you
randomly have that they wouldleave keys in a Humvee, but
they're locked away inside of afacility that's locked down.

SPEAKER_02 (23:24):
There's no reason to take keys out and move them
somewhere.
You would leave them in placebecause if you have to drive off
quickly, you just get in and go.
You don't go looking for keys.

SPEAKER_05 (23:33):
I I believe you, you fucking nerds.

SPEAKER_02 (23:36):
Get in a fucking car.
I'm gonna tell you what.
We don't have to take you withus.

SPEAKER_05 (23:43):
She pulls a gun out of her hip, aims at you.
I swear.
Well, I've gotten this, I'vegotten this far.
You're gonna roll the D20.

SPEAKER_02 (23:52):
I actually said that wrong.
I said slap her.
I meant to say like slap thegun, but I'm gonna leave it at
slap her.
11.

SPEAKER_05 (23:58):
Uh when you go to slap her, her finger hits the
trigger and you get shot in yourleft arm.

SPEAKER_01 (24:06):
Fuck you! Oh, okay.
We get in the van, we get in theHumvee quick.
Woop.

SPEAKER_05 (24:14):
It's running from behind you.
Uh you check the Humvee, andthere are no keys in it.
You liar.

SPEAKER_03 (24:23):
Okay.
That'd be that's only in yourmoment.

SPEAKER_05 (24:26):
In your moment of panic.
You look over behind you to theleft, there is an office that
says uh keys.
Office of keys.
Office of keys.
You're being ridiculous! Okay, security, but why would they
have security?
Okay, there's an office on theoutside, there's a lockbox and
there's keys.
You can see it.

SPEAKER_01 (24:45):
I scoot them over.
I have to imagine that I havenot had the greatest past, and I
attempt to hotwire this car.

SPEAKER_02 (24:52):
Alright, Jarek's gonna roll the roll.
Roll the dice.
And I'm standing guard with mypistol.

SPEAKER_01 (24:58):
I should have had you roll.

SPEAKER_05 (25:00):
Um, as as you guys, as he's trying to hotwire the
car, you're getting shot at.
How would they know?
You just a fucking shot justrang out.
He got shot in the arm.

SPEAKER_01 (25:10):
I imagine it echoed.
I got a six.

SPEAKER_02 (25:12):
Okay, as he's trying to hotwire.

SPEAKER_05 (25:17):
I think I'm getting it.

SPEAKER_02 (25:19):
Okay, I grab the doctor, I pull her out of the
the Humvee.
I got it this time.
Fuck how I put her against theHumvee as if I'm arresting her.
I disarm her, pull the gun out,and I'm gonna be reprimanding
her as if she's trying to dosomething shady.

(25:40):
Why are you trying to do this?
Why are you down here?
What brings you here?
What are you doing?
Who are you working for?

SPEAKER_05 (25:47):
I can't remember what your character's badge
said.
Yeah.
Joseph.
Um, Joseph, what's going on?

SPEAKER_02 (25:57):
We heard a shot.
This lady pulled out a gun andshot us after we she brought us
down here.
She told us that we have to godown this tunnel, and she got
mad and just pulled a gun out.
I don't know what her problemis.

SPEAKER_01 (26:11):
I'm discreetly trying to hotwire.
I'm like keeping my head reallyfar down.
I mean like take take her up tosub-level four.

SPEAKER_05 (26:18):
Go back to sub-level four.

SPEAKER_02 (26:20):
We just we just fucking came from there.

SPEAKER_05 (26:22):
That's what we do with uh people to do stupid
shit.

SPEAKER_02 (26:28):
Okay.
Alright, let me finish uh doingwhat I was gonna do here, if you
know what I mean.
Can you give us a few?
Dude, not cool.

SPEAKER_06 (26:36):
Yo, what are you what?

SPEAKER_02 (26:39):
I'm an evangelist.
What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_04 (26:41):
Fuck.

SPEAKER_02 (26:42):
Joseph, I thought you were gay.
I'm here to interrogate her.
I want to know what she's up to.
Your husband works on sub-levelone.
Don't make this weird.
What would he think?
Don't make this weird.
She's here, obviously, doingsomething shady.
I want to know what she's up to.
Just let me work on it.

(27:02):
Numbi starts.
What do you do?
I try to grab her and throw herin as hard as humanly possible
and jump in behind her.

SPEAKER_01 (27:12):
I'm slamming the gas.
As soon as I notice they're bothin, I'm slamming the gas and
trying to make it towards thetunnel.

SPEAKER_05 (27:17):
Just what the fuck?
And he starts shooting.
You guys skirt off, you'reheading down the tunnel.
Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (27:22):
Um, fucking roll, I would have gotten shot again.
Is everyone okay?
No, I'm shot!

SPEAKER_05 (27:32):
I look behind.

SPEAKER_03 (27:33):
I swear behind.

SPEAKER_02 (27:39):
That was fun.
That was fun.
I enjoyed that.

SPEAKER_01 (27:43):
I'm not convinced that our new companion is not
shot and dying in the back.
I'm already shot and dying.
You've been shot so many times, you'll be okay.

SPEAKER_02 (27:55):
I can't believe you made you had me shot when I
rolled a fucking 15.

SPEAKER_05 (28:02):
He got four and got grazed?
You know how it's really bad.
Did you see it?
Eric, when you got up to go getsomething, you did you got up
twice.
I asked him.
I said one or two.
He chose one.
That means he was character one.
That means he was character fromthe last campaign.

(28:23):
He didn't know that.
But uh my whole plan was eitheryou cut his arm off or you
don't.
And I thought it was funny thatyou didn't.
Um, because the reveal waseither gonna be, oh, there was
no reason for you to cut his armoff.
Uh he doesn't have an appendix,or I'm so glad I hesitated.
He gets shot in the arm so manytimes, and it's just funny.

SPEAKER_01 (28:44):
That's what I figured I'm like, because it's
big daddy motion.
I can't imagine I can't imaginehe has any feeling behind it.
And a little bit of me is like,I don't know, maybe he mutates
and gets some power in his armor something.
So I'm like, yeah, fuck it.
I shoot him again.

SPEAKER_05 (29:00):
Shoot him again.
Spoilers.
Um you don't feel it.

SPEAKER_02 (29:04):
That was fun.

SPEAKER_05 (29:05):
But yeah.

SPEAKER_01 (29:06):
Um you guys liked it?

SPEAKER_02 (29:09):
Yeah, yeah, I thought that was fun.
I got pretty into that.

SPEAKER_01 (29:12):
I think we understood the assignment a
little more this time around.

SPEAKER_05 (29:16):
I I I was I was always always planning to split
you guys off uh since the lastone.
Uh yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01 (29:24):
Is there's more role-playing this when then you
both can control separate and Ithink we understood that this is
not as realistic as we initiallybelieved it to be.
And um uh we can shoot eachother in the arm multiple times.

SPEAKER_02 (29:43):
And shoot myself in the arm and get ricochets in the
arm.

SPEAKER_05 (29:47):
Yeah.
I mean, this your arm's justlike a bullet magnet or
something.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (29:52):
Although although, although I will say that was my
fault.
I knew I should have fuckingsearched that bitch.
I knew.
It and I didn't because I waslike in a hurry.

SPEAKER_05 (30:04):
It's a highly secure like base, dude.
Of course everybody's gonna haveguns.
Yeah.
This is a great character forme.

SPEAKER_03 (30:12):
Just a stoner.

SPEAKER_05 (30:17):

Um, so who do you think won?
Somebody has to win.

SPEAKER_02 (31:12):
Oh, I think I won.
I got shot multiple times in thesame arm.

SPEAKER_01 (31:16):
I yeah, well, okay.
I was gonna try and and claimthat I should win, but he did
get shot a lot of times, and Ithink it was very funny.

SPEAKER_02 (31:26):
And I kept my cool.

SPEAKER_01 (31:29):
Although I like my MRI bit a lot, but yeah, that
was good.

SPEAKER_02 (31:36):
Hey, I think my mom had her MRI here.
Yeah, Alex, winner speech.
Woo! I am the best.
I am the greatest.
Congratulations.
Everybody wishes they were me.
I am a wolf.
That's my spirit animal.
Alright.
No, I thought this was very fun.
Thank you for putting it alltogether.

(31:57):
Uh, it feels like that was a lotof work for you, so I appreciate
it.
I hope the viewers appreciate itas much as I did.
Thank you for letting meparticipate in this and that I
am the winner.

SPEAKER_05 (32:10):
I think as we go on with this uh series, it shall be
a lot more better.
Uh it's my only my second timedoing it, so you know.

SPEAKER_01 (32:22):
That was already yeah, that was already
drastically improved from thefirst one.

SPEAKER_02 (32:28):
And I think you're gonna get two episodes out of
this one.

SPEAKER_01 (32:30):
Oh yeah, that's is yeah, probably.
Um I had fun with that.
That uh as somebody who has DM'dbefore and understands the I
haven't I haven't like reallyDM'd all that much, but I
understand how difficult it isto put together a coherent
storyline and to remember likeinformation that all these

(32:52):
characters are supposed to giveyou.

SPEAKER_00 (32:53):
Right.

SPEAKER_01 (32:54):
And I maybe it's because you gave me a character
I can really vibe with, which isa stoner who um uh doesn't know
shit.
Uh I I felt very connected andlike I it felt very like
seamless.
The the scenes made sense wherewe went and who we spoke to, and
i e even like the scientistsbeing kind of maniacal.

(33:16):
I it made sense if somebody'swilling to exterminate the
entire uh facility, then itmakes sense that he's pretty
fucking crazed.
It just felt very well puttogether and it didn't seem
disconnected or anything likethat.

SPEAKER_02 (33:31):
Yeah.
It was uh you know, other thangetting shot so many times.

SPEAKER_00 (33:36):
And that was great.
I loved that part.

SPEAKER_05 (33:40):
Yeah, uh shout out to AI for giving me the
scientist speech slash whatever.
Uh I asked it to come up with abullshit reason why uh in
scientific terms why theappendix would cause.

SPEAKER_01 (33:55):
Oh yeah, I was all for that.

SPEAKER_05 (33:56):
Yeah, because that was my idea, because you cut
your appendix out in the start, and it's like, why aren't you
infected?

SPEAKER_02 (34:05):
Right.

SPEAKER_05 (34:05):
I like it.

SPEAKER_01 (34:06):
Yeah, no, it definitely ties that in.
It makes sense why that washappening now.
Nobody like we still don't fullyknow what the fucking appendix
is in real life, so you knowwhat was what was uh what like
grossed me out was when he saidthink of the appendix like an
incubator.
Yeah.
I was like, ew.

(34:27):
I just started thinking aboutthat.
It's gross.

SPEAKER_05 (34:31):
Uh corpusculum rubigenosis.

SPEAKER_01 (34:34):
Yeah, I I was gonna make a comment about that in
character, and I was like, Idon't fucking know what that
means.

SPEAKER_05 (34:42):
It's uh it's Latin for rust colored little body.
Gross.
I like the rust mist, whatever.

SPEAKER_01 (34:52):
The rust is uh a good name for the yeah, I like
that it gives me like the flare, like that kind of vibe.

SPEAKER_02 (34:59):
Oh, it gave me the flood.
The flood from Halo Love theFlood.

SPEAKER_05 (35:05):
But yeah, if you guys enjoyed this episode, make
sure to check out our otherepisodes.
We are pretty fucking dope.
You can check out our lastepisode that we had, it was
pretty fucking dope.
Um Yeah.
Um stay alive.

SPEAKER_01 (35:23):

gonna shoot it a couple moretimes.
Now you stay alive.
