A huge album and a huge wine to match it. Do Chris, Christian and David agree on this album? Definitely not! But no matter our differences, we all agree the wines are stunning and the Gallagher brothers were funny as f*#! Apologies for all the swearing in this episode, but it’s hard not to when quoting Liam and Noel.

To match ‘(What’s the Story?) Morning Glory’ by Oasis, Chris brought a $110 bottle of 2019 Clos Saint Jean, Chateauneuf du Pape in France. https://closstjean.fr/
For our value wine Christian went to COSTCO and bought a $7.99 2017 Faustino Rivero Ulecia, Reserva from Rioja in Spain. https://www.bodegasfaustino.com/en/
WINE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THIS EPISODE:
Although Chris likens the Chateauneuf du Pape blend to an Australian GSM but they are not really comparable. Perhaps try one of Chris’s favourite Australian Shiraz blends, the Yarra Yerring Shiraz Viognier. However, if you are in the market for a stunning wine and your price point will stretch to over $100, get this wine the 2019 Clos Saint Jean, Chateauneuf du Pape. We don’t think you will be disappointed.
Rioja’s in general tend to be good value, and for $7.99 its unlikely you will find a better value wine than the 2017 Faustino Rivero Ulecia, Reserva from COSTCO.

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
