We were joined this week with special guest, Carter Mazur! This young, 21-year-old wields a combination of skill and a scoring touch. Taken in the 3rd round (70th overall) by the Red Wings in 2021, Mazur played just two collegiate seasons at Denver University, winning a National Championship AND being named Rookie of the Year for the NCHC in his freshman year. Carter ended his second year at Denver by signing his ELC with Detroit and joining the AHL-affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins for the remainder of the season, tallying 6 points in 6 games.
We are just a few weeks from preseason hockey! Best of luck to Carter Mazur at the NHL Prospect Tournament up in Traverse City as we hope to see him in the winged wheel in the near future!
