Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thin gets me fired up for Packer talk like some
nitty-gritty band singing mesome Fishing in the Dark, that's
all I know.
So we are back here onWisconsin Sports on the Go with
Trage.
I'm your host, trage, this nextsegment here.
We're going to talk a littlePackers, I'm going to stop them
by.
We're going to wrap uppreseason week two.
We're going to look ahead topreseason week three.
This next segment here isbrought to you by Greenwood,

integration programming.

Just call Chad down there atSport and Spine Clinic of
Greenwood, wisconsin.

better than ever.
Sport and Spine Clinic ofGreenwood there.
So Auburn, we have our Sportand Spine Game Changer of the

(00:40):
Week here for the Packers.
Who is our sport?
Who's going to win the awardthis week?
Who was our game changer thereagainst the Colts in that?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I mean, there's a couple.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Maybe there's a couple that you have, but who
was your or who was your?
Game changers of the week.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I mean, honestly, it seemed like again, it wasn't a
game changer, but I meanhonestly he was.
Jordan Morgan just went anotherday being very quiet, no
pressures, no sacks, given hemay not have the greatest
playing strength, but histechnician one Mark Oldacres and
a couple other guys that Ifollow was like, yeah, he still,

(01:15):
his technique is outstandingand that's probably what they
saw when they drafted him in thefirst round and we're starting
to see that come to light.
So I feel like him coming outthere and playing the way he did
it just shows that we have, like, honestly, probably the
left tackle of the future there, and that definitely makes
things about rashid walker moreinteresting.

(01:36):
Him and I feel like you knowbrenson had a pretty good game.
I think tyrone hooper reallyhad a good game.
He seems to be stacking successin the last two games.
Um, and you know, I feel, whenit comes to the offensive line,
you know, one of the biggestthings we've noticed is that

(01:56):
they're elton being the centereasy peasy.
Jordan morgan being a lefttackle easy peasy.
Aaron banks a left guard andthen Sean Ryan, a right guard.
For the most part seems prettygood.
So it wasn't, like you know, wewon the game right, but I feel
like those plays and of course Ican't be remiss without

(02:17):
mentioning Julian Hicks' amazingone-handed catch that didn't
even count and Cornelius Johnson, who both guys that have been
there since last year's asundrafted free agents are really
coming into their own, which wemight need them if wicks and
reed don't get healthy by weekone yeah, no, I so I'm gonna
comment on that, but I can'tbelieve I forgot to eat.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
How are we doing, ummer?
How are you doing?
It's wednesday?
How are you doing tonight?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I want to know how you're doing I'm good man, I man
, I'm good, I can't complain,I'm a little tired.
It's been a crazy week so farand so work-wise it's been kind
of crazy.
But, you know, looking forwardto the upcoming fantasy football
, upcoming Packers season andjust honestly, just you know,
ready to get this show rolling, because it just seems like

(03:02):
there's just way too much timefor Bears fans to think that
they're going to the Super Bowl, lions fans basically just
living in the past and notreally not knowing what's going
to be coming for them and thereckoning that's going to
probably come in for them thisyear.
And, yeah, just really gettingtired of just all the commentary
and looking forward to seeingthem actually show up in the
season, if they do.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Love to hear it.
I love to hear that you'redoing well.
That's all that matters.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
I'm doing good, I'm doing good Brewers.
Well, you know, as we'retalking right now, they're
losing to the Cubs.
So hopefully, as we wrap upthis show, that they win this
game.
But I mean, yeah, that's kindof where we're at right now
because your Bear fans are myCub fans.
That's my problem in life.
It's like the same thing.

(03:48):
They're all from Chicago andthey all suck.
So that's all we need to know.
So I want to touch you on a fewthings.
You mentioned it right off thetop there Jordan Morgan and the
stat that I saw two preseasongames so far.
He leads all, all offensivelinemen.
He has the highest pass blockgrade so far, at 91.
That's above all, offensivelinemen.
He has the highest pass blockgrade so far, at 91.
That's above all, offensivelinemen, not just, you know, in

(04:11):
the NFC, all offensive linemen, not just in the left tackles,
all offensive linemen.
I don't know at this point.
I love Rasheed Walker.
I think Rasheed Walker has gota ton of upside and a ton of
talent.
But I'm watching Jordan Morganright now.

(04:32):
How do you say I mean, man, you're not even like, you're not
going to get this job.
How do you even say that to himat this point Because Rasheed
Walker, I know he's stillfighting injury and that sucks.
I hate that he's fightinginjury.
It's hard to make at this pointbecause Rasheed Walker, I know
he's still fighting injury andthat sucks like I don't.
I hate that he's fightinginjury.
It's hard to make it a battlebecause he's fighting injury.
But how do you not find a spotfor Jordan Morgan, regular, like
in the starting lineup rightnow for the Green Bay Packers?

(04:54):
I mean right now, would youeven is Rasheed Walker.
It's a competition, but for me,jordan Morgan's taking that,
that step, he's ahead of himright now because we've seen it
now.
We've seen it for two.
I know it's preseason,everybody's going to say it's
preseason, but what we've seenthe intangibles, the little
things he looks good.
He looks like he's not well.

(05:16):
He's not like well-fined, likehe's got a lot of work to do yet
to be perfect, to be thegreatest.
You know, left tackle orwhatever that he can be, got a
lot of fight, tooling to doright.
But from what we've seen so far, he's a fine left tackle.
He's 100% of starting lefttackle here in the NFL.
I know that.
So what are your thoughts?
I mean just expand on that withthe competition that they have

(05:37):
right now.
Do you think Jordan Morgan'sgot to step up?
Where are you at right now withthat whole competition?

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I think when we came out of the draft we really
thought that we had probablypossibly three left tackles on
the team Anthony Belton, ofcourse, rasheed Walker and then,
of course don't forget lastyear's Jordan Morgan.
And then, as the training campwent on, you saw Morgan and you
saw Rasheed Walker taking snaps.

(06:02):
You saw Belton taking snapsthere too, and in family night
you saw Morgan get dog walked byLVN.
And now, since then, going upagainst the Stars with the Colts
, going up against the Starswith the Jets, jordan Morgan has
played lights out.
So it begs the question JordanMorgan might actually be pretty
decent in that LVN's hype thiscamp about having a monster camp

(06:26):
might be true, and because ofthat it really makes you wonder.
Like, from a standpoint of likejust the fact that he's gone
literally down two gamesstarting and no pressures, no
sacks, and honestly looked gooddoing it, makes you kind of
really feel like, okay, maybethat is set.
But then also, you know, Beltonprobably had one of the worst
games of his two-game career, right, and as big as he is and

(06:50):
as monstrous as he is, I meanthey need to be trying to put
him at guard.
And I know, like you know, hehas played left tackle from
Joey's career.
He has quick feet and thingslike that.
But, like you know, he justlooked really bad out there and
maybe that's just you know.
He just looked really bad outthere and maybe that's just you
know, maybe it was just.
I mean, honestly, it was just areally bad game for him all in
all.
He had penalties, he had, youknow, unnecessary roughness, he
had all kinds of stuff going on.

(07:10):
But you know, rasheed Walkersaid that he'd give him a
clementine and told him torefocus and calm down.
And then Meltzer, of coursedidn't really sure said hey, I
had a terrible game.
I knew he'd be better.
They corrected with me, theytold me what I did wrong.
I don't want to be betterbecause of it.
So I respect that, because alot of times some of these
players don't takeaccountability especially young

(07:30):
guys, especially rookies, rightComing in second-round pick, you
know, being probably a rockstar when he was at North
Carolina State.
So I think seeing that makes youkind of wonder.
Because Seeing that makes youkind of wonder, because I mean
Aaron Banks, we paid him a lotof money but he's on a two-year
deal.
I mean that's what it comesdown to.
He's going to pay a ton ofmoney for two years, but he's on
a two-year deal and you know weshould be playing the best five

(07:53):
, not the most paid five.
If that makes sense, yeah right.
And so you know, you guys addTom, he's locked down, right
tackle you.
You probably can have somecompetition at right car, even
though sean ryan has lookedpretty good, pretty much the
part, because jacob monk hasactually taken a step back, not
a step forward.
Elton jenkins is probably thebest offensive lineman we have
right up there.
I mean zach thomas too, but youknow elton is 1a right.

(08:16):
And then you got banks, who I'mnot a big fan of, I'll be honest
with you guys about that.
And then, of course, you know, you got bel and Walker.
Now, walker, even though heplayed pretty well last year,
his biggest issue is beingconsistent, and having him as a
swing tackle is a great thing tohave, especially in this league
where everyone gets hurt.
And then, of course, you gotBelton, who I feel like can play
every position as hip center, the line itself, I mean because

(08:39):
you still have Kadir Tofer, you,you have Kadir Topher, you have
some other guys out there thataren't well-known, but you've
got Donovan Jennings, who alsohad a really bad game as well
too, even though there's a lotof hype of him coming out of
Michigan, and I feel like thedepth that we have at office
line is pretty good and I don'tfeel like we're going to be in a

(09:00):
bad situation if we're down acouple people, like we have in
the past.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I think they legit have seven guys.
I think they have seven guyswho you could feel comfortable
with right now If you had toplay them.
I mean they you'd becomfortable and you can mix and
match guys.
That's a good thing about thisoffensive line and that's the
way Goody loves to build it isyou can mix and match guys.
Guys can play multiplepositions and still be
successful.
I think that's a huge thing inthis offensive line is you can
rotate around, as we're seeingalton jenkins.

(09:23):
We know zach tom can play alittle bit of center if he had
to right.
So we know there's guys who canrotate.
Sean ryan plays a little bit ofcenter, doesn't he too?
I mean?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
he's functioned in there.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
He's a back, so I mean you have all these guys who
can flip into there if you haveto, or move out if they had to.
If alton jenkins didn't forsome reason work at the center
position, you you can move himback out, you can move Sean Ryan
in.
I mean, you have options, soyou love to have those options
there, and that's huge.
That is absolutely huge.
There.
And you mentioned something Iwant to jump out of the
offensive line.
Let's look at that widereceiver room.

(09:53):
I don't think Mikael Hardmanseparated himself from anybody
at this point.
I was watching this last weekand I said to myself Malik Heath
is still making a case forhimself because Malik Heath is
still doing some good things outthere.
And then Julian Hicks.
I don't think Julian Hicks isnot a number four wide receiver.

(10:13):
He's not a three, he's not a two, he's not a one, but Julian
Hicks could be a five and if hewas?
a five, you'd be okay.
So I mean, where are you atright now with that wide
receiver room?
We see, finally, jaden Reed'sgot the boot off, so that's
awesome.
You have Romeo Dobbs back atpractice.
Golden's been fantastic, as weknow.
We've got to get Savion back atpractice.
Yet there's a lot of guys thathave got to get back to practice
.
Dontavion Wicks we know he wassitting out there, not sitting

(10:40):
out, but out of practice thereand out of gameplay.
So I mean that with this widereceiver room right now, we kind
of know where the top four aregonna be right, dobbs, wicks,
reed, golden.
I think that's tough.
Yeah, it's top four.
Five is still up in the airfive and six, because there's
probably gonna be six.
Those guys are still up in theair.
For me, what do you think rightnow with the wide receiver room
?

Speaker 3 (10:59):
I mean, honestly, you got jayden reed and dunn timmy
wicks, who really haven'tpracticed, and one of the guys I
follow, kdg, who's a greatfollow on Twitter, if anyone
doesn't know.
He even said he goes this widereceiver core before Golden and
Sabian was there, led the leaguein drops.
Now Jaden Reed and DontaymanWicks have missed most of

(11:20):
training camp.
Should we be concerned?
And I said, responding to himis no, because they have matthew
golden, who's basically cameinto the scene and looks like a
three-year vet with the way he'splaying.
Right, he's just looksoutstanding.
He's catching everything.
He seems to be ahead of thecurve when it comes to as a
rookie.
And then, you know, save me onas another guy who's a rookie,

(11:41):
who has barely practiced.
He's definitely redshirted, ashe's almost redshirted as a
rookie, and it's like almost thethird round curse has returned,
right, because you know, withyou know, tarkraf, that's
probably our last legit thirdround.
And then, you know, I justSavion was a great pick based on

(12:02):
what you saw in college.
But the fact that he can't evenget on the field be it a
concussion, be whatever it is,it just seems really weird.
The right receiver room scaresme a little bit, but it's one of
those things where I have a lotof faith in Golden.
I do have.
Hopefully, you know, reid andWicks are able to come back and
begin the season and you know,if not, then might give, uh,

(12:24):
some great opportunity for youknow guys that you didn't think
were going to make the team, because you know what I hate to
say it like um, in the gamesthat we did see romeo dobbs.
Romeo dobbs looks great inpractice, he looks amazing
practice.
But in the game, two droppasses.
Lily keith, a guy who I love todeath, take his opportunity.
Another drop pass right.
And it could be one of thosethings where you have these kids

(12:47):
and you know they went andpicked up the guy Kwon Baker
from the Raiders.
They grabbed.
They still got Julian Hicks, they got Cornelius Johnson.
You know they have the kid thatthey grabbed out of Colorado
State.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Wow, will Shepard, there Will Shepard, will Shepard
, thank you, Thank you, and theyhave, like you know.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
And then on, you know , don't forget, you know, terry
McLaurin is still available fortrade if we want to make that
move Right.
But I feel like receiver, thething that I feel is that Jordan
is starting to get a disserviceis the fact that it's almost
the same issues that Rogers had,but maybe he had it later in
his career, because you later inhis career, because you know,

(13:26):
if you remember ted thompson, hedid skimp on receivers.
Every year he was drafted downa second round that just turned
out to be the next best grade, right, yeah, and it started with
driver, then it went tojennings, then it went to jordy,
then it went to davante and inthere you had brent swain, you
had the other guys that you knowramble, cob, you had jared
boykin you had all these likeand then you had james jones.
I can't forget j Boykin, youhad all these.
And then you had James Jones.
I can't forget James Jones.
You had all these dudes andthen after a while, you know

(13:47):
we're, it just took a little bitof a slip right and
unfortunately, right now, withthe way things are, maybe
Christian Watson comes back byweek four.
What do you do for weeks onethrough four right and then on
top of that too, how is thatgoing to be?
How is that going to work forhim?
Like, are we going to be givingMatthew goal in 25 targets a
game right Is him and TariqKraft and must.

(14:08):
I mean honestly, this is achance for Musgrave to go on the
field more play two times, since it'd be more of a receiver
.
I have my concerns about thereceiver room because the fact
right now, it was at Jordan lastyear training camp.
I know Reed and Wicks arethird-year guys but still,
though they've missed so muchcamp, I just feel like it's

(14:28):
going to take some time to getthe fee under them.
And even with that being said, who knows, mike, if they're
going to get past the issue thatthey had last year because in
fact they haven't really beenable to work ongrave.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
getting time out the wide receiver spot either.
I don't hate that.
I mean he's got the speed, he'sgot the talent to be out there.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
He has everything.
He's got the speed, everythinghe has the land block where the
crap.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
So that's why, he doesn't really fit a tight end
mold, but he fits a skilledposition as a wide receiver.
I mean he fits.
You were saying that widereceiver room is still up in the
air and that's why, if theywere to like, I don't think

(15:11):
they're gonna go get scary terry, right, but even if they were
able to, I wouldn't be opposedto it just because I, at this
point, golden, that's it.
Yeah, like nobody else.
I mean reed, I like reed.
I think reed's a fine option.
Right, I like dobs.
At times, I like I think Wickshas the most upside out of all
of them, if you ask me.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
But none of them.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
I mean outside of Reed being your gadget guy and
everything else in between.
None of them have proven to bereliable, to be the guy to be
anything like that.
So are they expendable?
Yes, all of them, every singleone of them, I mean.
Until they prove otherwise, they are all expendable right
now they have a lot of depth.
But is the depth great?
Is it the best depth in theworld?

(15:48):
I don't know, and that's whatwe need to find out and that's
why I'm saying, like Malik Heath, right, hardman hasn't earned
that job, it's still up in theair.
Malik Heath could still jump in.
I don't think Julian Hicks isgoing to be interesting to see
how they work this wide receiverremote and hopefully Matt

(16:11):
LaFleur is right, we don't haveto worry about week one and
these guys are going to be backbecause he says not to worry,
he's not worried, but at thesame time, like you said, they
haven't been out there.
So are we still worried?
I mean you have the DetroitLions, it.
Are we still worried that?
I mean you have the DetroitLions?
It's not like you're playingsome pushover team.
You have the Detroit Lions andyou have the Commanders coming
up.
It's not like you're playing, Idon't know, the Tennessee
Titans or something.
You're playing some good teamsto start the year.

(16:33):
When you play good teams tostart the year, you come out
rusty.
It's not going to end well, aswe know, as we've seen in the
preseason, because when you seethem in the preseason they knock
some of that rust off.
You can tell the guys week onethat didn't play in the
preseason at all because there'sa lot of rust and the training
wheels are still on and they'retrying to work them babies off

(16:54):
but they can't get them off yet.
And then you're into week fourbefore they finally get them off
.
So yeah, that's kind of aroundthat with that whole thing.
But a guy that we didn't know ifhe was going to make the roster
, but now he's almost a lock andhe's pretty darn good at where
he got moved to bowl melted.
Yeah, Just talk about, I'mimpressed.
I'm impressed from what I'veseen.
I mean he's quarterback fourand he's quarterback four by a

(17:15):
landslide.
At this point, Let me know, what are you?
What are you thinking Like?
What are you seeing right nowat a bowl?
Seen, I mean, he's got hischance to play himself up into
like CB3 if he wanted to.
At this point, I mean, he'sbeen darn good.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Honestly, like the fact that Nate Hobbs has not
been practicing because he gotinjured as well too, you're
getting opportunities to seeguys like him.
You're seeing Kaitlin King outthere.
You're seeing Corey Valentine.
I feel like Corey Valentine.
You know his tape is okay, thatI saw right.
But at the end of the daythough, like you know what you
got with him, he's a simon shore, he's a good special team dude.
So I'm fine with that killingking.
You know.

(17:47):
Just he has his ups and downs.
When it comes to his game, bomelton, to me I feel like, has
the most upside, primarilybecause the fact that he was
just such a talented athleticplayer as a receiver he's.
He doesn't have bad habits, ifthat makes sense.
Like he's at a point in hiscareer now where he's a corner

(18:10):
and he has the ability to reallybe half glass full and just
take the teachings of a guy likeAnsley and Halfley and really
learn the position.
Sometimes you've got thesecorners who come in and maybe
they've got bad habits, theyhave bad coaching and they've
got to break a lot of thosetendencies to become a good
corner.
You don't have that at all, mountain I a lot of those
tendencies to become a goodcorner right.
You don't have that at allMountain and I think, like you
know, carrington, valentine andmore than likely Nixon are going

(18:31):
to be a one and two and thenNate Hobbs is getting paid to be
your, basically your, startinglineup and normally you know I
think Halfway said it inmultiple press conferences that
you know most teams play nickel, they play three corners right.
So you know, having Bo as yourfourth and possibly even coming
up as your third, you know I'malways guaranteeing that.
I hate to say it but, likeyou're almost guaranteed that
one of the corners is going toget hurt.

(18:53):
I'm not going to say who, butwe all know that he has an
injury history already and healready has an injury and more
than likely Bo's going to haveto come over.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
He can get the job done.
No, I completely agree.
I like it and I like I don'tknow how he did it Like, a
couple weeks ago we were talkingabout this guy in the wide
receiver room being, you know, maybe the number five, number
six, and now it's like, no, he'snot a wide receiver at all.
He might have to be.
He might have to go back overand play both sides of the ball
if they're going to do somethingcrazy like that.
But at this point.

(19:24):
He is a darn good corner and ifhe continues, like you said, to
work with these guys, progressthrough there.
I can't wait.
That is going to be excitingstuff and it already is exciting
stuff right there, so that'sawesome.
Any last thoughts?
I mean we're heading into weekthree of the preseason, the
final week of the preseason hereas we get prepared for regular
season action.
Any of your thoughts going intothat matchup there with Seattle

(19:46):
?
What are you seeing?
I mean, is there any like keysthat you're looking for?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
I mean honestly, you know it's sad to say, but
Marshawn Lloyd being, you know, the other third-round pick, who
honestly just really hasn't, hejust can't get past the injury
bug and that was something thathe had as a problem that he was
in college.
So I hate to say, but you knowwe may have to cut our losses
there because it just seems likehe just can't stay healthy.
Um, because he's a verytalented player but

(20:12):
unfortunately he just cannot getpast the same injuries over and
over again.
Um, I want to see emmanuelwilson have a bounce back game
because he had some really goodplays but he also had a fumble,
he had a bad pass block.
So I want to see him come backand really hit the ground
running, if I'm intended.
And then, of course, you knowyou guys want to see, like some
of the younger guys, like Domand Jennings and Belton,

(20:32):
hopefully bounce back fromreally bad games and maybe see
who's going to do the playcalling this week.
Will it be Vrabel, or will itbe Floor, or will it be the
tight ends Coach Dunn?
Who's going to be the playcaller?
Just to get their feet wet alittle bit, because CLC Hawks
are coming in.
I don't know who they're goingto play, but Mike McDonald's a

(20:55):
real good coach.
He's an amazing defensive mind.
I definitely want to see whattheir defense can do Against
Matt LaFleur's very vanillaoffense.
And of course, on the defenseside, I just want to see if LVN
gets any snaps and, if he does,if he's stacking success.
He's just continuing to have agood camp and a good preseason.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
It sucks that everybody's going to say it's
preseason and that they don'tsee it.
They've got to see it inregular season and that's the
truth.
That is the truth.
We've got to see it from JordanMorgan in the regular season.
We've we got to see it fromLucas Van Ness.
We got to see it from all theseguys when the regular season
rolls around there.
So Amber thank you.
As always, I got to run here.
We'll hopefully wait for abreak, but let me know, let
people know when to find you outthere across social media.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
All right, just find me on Twitter AMARon3455.
And yeah, just anything youguys need going on in the Packer
world right now.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Awesome stuff.
Awesome stuff, as always.
Make sure you're checking himout there and make sure you're
checking him out.
He's got exciting stuffhappening with the show that he
is a part of yes, and all kindsof stuff.
So there's going to beannouncements for that.
So make sure you guys arelooking out for him across
Twitter and everything like that.
I'll make sure that I retweetit and tweet it and share it
across Facebook and everythinglike that.
So with that, we'll be backhere.

(22:05):
After a quick commercial breakwe're going to talk Brewers on
the backside of the ad break.
We'll be right back here.
Wisconsin Sports on the go withTrage.
Wisconsin Sports on the go withTrage.
I'm your host, trage, as wecome back on this Wednesday.
And hey, this next segment, kyle, stopping by, we have tons to
get into with the NFL, mlb, everything like that.
This next segment here isbrought to you by Badger Tree
Care, the local tree carebusiness serving Clark and

(22:27):
surrounding counties.
They provide everything fromtree trimming to pruning, full
cleanup, small lot cleanup.
I've seen some of the stuffthat they do around.
They do a fantastic job.
Anywhere they go, they do whatyou need and maybe you don't got
time to do it yourself, they'llcome out and do it for you.
That's who you got to betalking to, badger Tree Care
there.
So, kyle, before we get intoany of our talk tonight here,

(22:48):
how are we doing?
How are you doing on thisWednesday?

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I am doing well.
You know it's an interestingtime.
We are across sports with.
You know, packages and dealsand all this kind of stuff ESPN,
fox One.
It's so confusing, but I'mhappy to be here.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
We're happy to have you, as always here and as
always, as you guys always know, kyle is a part of the Mellow
Yellow Minute and I didn't tellKyle what the category was
tonight here at the commercialbreak, so he's flying in blind.
He's flying in blind on thisone.
We did Top Fair Foods last week.
Now we're going to go into TopFair Games, so some carnival

(23:34):
games that we can play.
This one might be interesting.
So I'm going to give Kyle thelist.
It's the top five on the listand he's going to try to put
them in order.
So we have milk bottle toss, duck pond.
So I'm thinking that's onewhere you pluck the duck out of
the pond there, basketballshootout, balloon darts and the

(23:57):
ring toss.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
So, kyle, those are the top five.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Where do you rank them within the top five?
Where would you rank themwithin the top five?
Where?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
would you rank them?
So I'm going to go number five.
Let's go Duck Pond.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Duck Pond is not number five Ooh.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Interesting.
What about Balloon Darts?

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Balloon Darts is not number five, hmm.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
I mean, it's the one I like.
I'm hoping this one isn't five,but the b-ball.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Basketball shot Basketball shootouts number five
.
Basketball shootouts numberfive on that list.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
If I go to a fair, that's where I'm stopping first.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Okay, it's those dented rims and everything, the
bent rims that just screweverybody.
That's what it's got to be.
That is true, okay, so four, four, let's go balloon darts,
not balloon darts, not balloondarts, no way Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I'm doing poorly.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Is it duck pond?
It is duck pond.
Duck pond is number four.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
I can live with that.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
So you have ring toss , balloon darts and milk bottle
toss.
That's going to be in the topthree.
There Three I'm going to go.
Ring toss it is not.
It is one of the tosses, thoughit is one of the tosses, so
it's a bottle toss.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
I mean, yeah, the bottle toss one, I guess.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Bottle toss, bottle toss, bottle toss is number
three.
So we got ring toss and balloondarts.
What do you got?
One and two.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I'm going to say balloon darts two, ring toss one
.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Balloon darts is number two, ring toss is number
one.
There we go, there you go.
I mean you redeemed yourselffor the top two there, it's just
the bottom ones are rough.
It's hard to separate what isactually I like versus whatever
the heck this is.
That's the hardest part is toget those out of it.
There you go.
There's our top fair games listof the week there, kyle, let's

(26:02):
jump over.
You were talking about itbefore we even got into it.
Let's talk about this mlb uh,tv rights deals.
So kyle had some news for me.
I didn't even know this washappening.
But, kyle, what read it off?
What do you got for me?
The new tv deals for the mlb.
Let's discuss these thingsbecause some of them are going
to be happy fortune.
That's going to end so.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Apple's out.
I was actually excited for it.

(26:43):
I thought the Applepresentation was really good,
the stat overlays and stuff.
But we're done In its place NBCand Peacock, which recently
have been really becoming bigplayers in the sports market,
with the NBA rights going to NBCand Peacock.
I mean, wwe was with Peacock, but WWE is like going to ESPN.

(27:04):
So NBC and Peacock will getFriday night baseball.
They'll have a Sunday exclusiveas well and they get wild card
baseball.
Not bad MLB TV, if that's yourthing, being sold to ESPN.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
For a lot of money.
Espn owning anything is bad.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
And then the last part, netflix will have the Home
Run Derby.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
And he tapped it.
He thought ESPN was bad enough.
Netflix now has the Home RunDerby.
Let's recap it all.
I didn't hate, okay, so let'srecap it all.
I didn't hate Apple TV, I hatedthat.
It was another thing that I hadto have to watch the Brewers
like one time a month.
That's what irritated me.
If they could make it moreaccessible, it wasn't so bad.
If there was more things onthere, more games on there, it

(28:00):
wasn't so bad.
It's just Friday night gamesand it was just for me to watch
the Brewers one time a month.
How do you justify $8 to watchthe Brewers one time a month?
It kind of sucks.
So I guess I can see where thedislike of that was.
But now I mean Peacock, this iswhere I think fans will be okay
with it.
Peacock offers you Badgerbasketball, badger football.

(28:22):
Now if you get Brewer games onthere, you get some NFL on there
.
I mean Peacock's got it all.
Now NBC Peacock.
So I mean that actually makessense.
Apple TV, if they would offermore, wouldn't be so bad.
Espn, like I said, owning therights to anything is terrible,
terrible.
I got to be honest with you, kyle, and I want to hear your

(28:43):
opinion on this.
Espn analysts and everythinglike that stink like for mlb and
everything like that.
They stink because they don'tknow half the players on the
brewers, they don't know likethey'll talk about the brewers
and they'll say, oh yeah, youknow brewers won a game today.
But then they'll be like ohyeah, but look what aaron judge
did, look what show y'all not.
Like they don't care, theydon't, they don't really care.
I just think the analysts onthere suck.

(29:05):
And then after I saw I think itwas like some guy named
shredder or something he made alist I think he's mlbcom but
made a list of the top secondbaseman in all of baseball and
bryce terang wasn't in the top10.
Really, really, are you kiddingme right now?
So even mlb right now is kindof driving me nuts with some of
the crap they got.
But I want to hear your opinionon that.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
What do you want to say.
I could see where this couldwork because if they buy mlb tv,
maybe some mlb tv personalitiesstart taking over some of these
mlb productions so you probablyget people who are locked in to
mlb now calling games.
So you don't have to worryabout an analyst not necessarily
knowing these people.

(29:45):
So so I think that instance itcould work.
Basically, what we're seeing isESPN is buying up whatever they
can.
I was watching last night theBengals preseason game.
On Monday they had Rich Eisendoing SportsCenter right after
the game.
Rich Eisen hasn't doneSportsCenter since like 2003.

(30:05):
But because ESPN now has NFLNetwork, rich Eisen hasn't done
SportsCenter since like 2003.
But because ESPN now has NFLNetwork, rich Eisen can now be
used back on ESPN.
So some of it.
There are some good to it, likeseeing Rich Eisen on TV.
I'm a big fan Like he's a guy Ireally listen to.
The pregame for Monday NightFootball they had Scott Van Pelt
posting it Love that guy.

(30:27):
So I think we're going to seemaybe some better pre and
post-game with some of thesesports.
But the MLB part we'll have tosee what ESPN has to do with MLB
TV.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I wonder if that's why they're buying them is for
their analysts.
I really do.
I honestly think you are 100%correct because, like I just
said, I think the analysts onespn, before they got some of
the nfl network or anything, guys like that, they stunk.
I mean you had adam schaefter, you had, I mean, some okay guys,
but end of the day, I mean they, they were nothing compared to

(30:58):
fox, they were nothing comparedto these other guys like they
were.
Just, I mean, they were therefor clickbait.
That's's honestly what it was.
Espn was basically clickbait.
Now you get guys in there whoactually know what they're
talking about, actually care, like you're saying.
I think that's huge and I cansee that.
I like that and I do like RichEisen too.
So I heard that because I waslistening to ESPN radio and they

(31:21):
said the Rich Eisen show wasgoing to be on ESPN now.
So, and they said the RichEisen show is going to be on
ESPN now.
So I was like, oh, so he mustbe joined.
So yeah, okay, I mean that'sawesome.
And I think I saw a thing aboutthat, because the last time I
think he hosted it was withStuart Scott.
So that was, I mean, reallycool to see.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Yeah, he took a picture like the morning before
because somewhere in the studiothey have a picture of Stuart
Scott, so he like stood in frontof it and took a picture like
haven't been here since.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I love Stuart Scott.
Two legends Stuart.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Scott was so good, it was different.
I mean that's the old ESPN,that was the good ESPN.
And then all those guys.
I mean they had Stuart Scott.
I mean rest in peace, you knoweverything thereott.
I mean rest in peace, you knoweverything there.
But I mean, like rich eisen heleft and you had, I mean, a
couple other guys who just leftand dan patrick was huge I mean
that's massive when he left espnand now it's like they're

(32:14):
trying to backtrack and they'retrying to get all these guys
back and bring it.
They had to bring in a wholenetwork because they got to
bring in the analysts that comealong with it.
So I mean, yeah, it's gonna beinteresting to see.
But mlb tv rights up in the airright now, it's crazy,
absolutely crazy.
I am all for equal markets.
I just want to see equalmarkets.
I know we talk salary cap allthe time.
I think they should have equaltv rights.

(32:34):
I mean, you look at what thedodgers are able to do.
I know it's because it's thedodgers bigger market, but if
you could give equal rights tothese teams so the brewers could
make that same kind of moneythat the Dodgers make there, I
think it evens out the playingfield there.
So I I think there's still morework to do with the MLB and
their TV rights.
But let's talk about this uhrealignment.

(32:55):
I got sent this and then you,you sent me this graphic and I
got this graphic sent by acouple other fans there, uh, the
potential MLB realignments.
So they've discussing I thinkit was Rob Manfred was
discussing it even.
But they were talking aboutsome of the expansion teams.
They talk about a Nashvilleteam and a Portland team, so
they're going to add those teamsinto it.
But they're talking aboutrealigning it all right now.

(33:17):
So they'd have a NationalLeague Midwest, central,
southwest and Northwest, andthen they'd have an AL Northeast
, mid-atlantic, great Lakes ALand then they'd have the AL
Southeast.
So the Brewers would actuallybe in the AL Great Lakes with
the Twins, the Tigers and theToronto Blue Jays.
The Brewers would be in there.
I mean, if you haven't seen thegraphic, check it out on Fox

(33:37):
Baseball there.
But, kyle, I mean, what areyour thoughts on a realignment
in Major League Baseball?
You realignment in major leaguebaseball?

Speaker 2 (33:47):
you know the red sox.
Uh, where the heck were they?

Speaker 1 (33:48):
they were, these yankees.
Oh, my goodness gracious, theywould be in a tough division
there with the phillies, red sox, mets and yankees.
But what?
Are your thoughts on arealignment of the of the
divisions there.
Are you for it?
Against it?
Where are you at?

Speaker 2 (33:59):
I'm actually here for it because you're gonna get
geographical rivalry and it'sgoing to be so good.
Yeah, as a Red Sox fan, yourdivision gets tougher.
But you could have like atwo-week stretch if you played
only divisional games.

(34:20):
You get Yankees, mets, phillies, all fan bases that can't stand
each other.
So you know the atmosphere forthose games are going to be
crazy.
So I think in that sense thisis probably something that would
be could have been looking atbefore.
But that that part I Idefinitely understand, because
when I saw the map it wasinteresting that seattle is way

(34:44):
up northwest with nobody aroundthem.
So I think Portland makes themost sense because Portland and
Seattle, you create now anatmosphere, because with Seattle
you either have to do likePortland or Vancouver.
They clearly weren't going todo Canada again.
So I think Portland makes a lotof sense.
And then where Nashville comesinto play is the Braves are kind

(35:06):
of in the middle of nowherebecause the Florida teams are
deep South Florida and then thenext closest are like the
Nationals up in the Virginiaarea, almost like the DC area.
So Nashville now becomes ageographical rival for the
Braves.
Now it's going to take sometime for Nashville to obviously
be up to speed, but I'm assuming.

(35:30):
I haven't seen necessarily thedivisions but I'm assuming the
Braves are going to be with theNashville team and the two
Florida teams.
Yes, they would be with orthey'd be with.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
I think somebody said a Charlotte, but technically
Nashville Charlotte, all in thesame.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
So they'd be with the Nationals, the Rays and the
Marlins.
Nashville and Charlotte yeah, because Charlotte is a button
like a bundling, likemetropolitan area as long as
along with Nashville, so it'sgot to be one of them.
I would prefer Nashvillebecause I think if MLB goes
there first, nfl is alreadythere with the Titans.
I think some of the leaguescould go into that area.

(36:06):
But yeah, I think this issomething that will make
baseball feel a little bitfresher and I think only good
can come from it.
So I'm here for it, even thoughthe division is going to be
crazy.
But look, I can drum up enoughhate to go around to make it
work between the Phillies, yankees and the Mets.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
I think you would just miss your rivalries.
I guess would be the only thing.
See, the Red Sox would be okaybecause they keep the Yankees,
but the Brewers would lose.
I mean you keep the Twins, butthat's never really a rivalry
you would have.
I mean you'd be with no Cubs, right, so you would lose the
Cubs and end the division there, which would be weird.
You'd have a weird little thing.
But I mean the alignments makesense.
From what I saw, from thegraphics that they showed,

(36:52):
everything made sense with them.
So I mean, yeah, we'd love tohear what you guys think.
715-990-491-411.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Help us travel.
Yeah, help us travel make a lotmore sense.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Plus, you play all interleague games half the time
anyways.
Now you don don't play halfyour division.
Like your division games arelesser.
Now you play a lot of out ofdivision games.
So in all reality would itreally affect?
Kind of, but not really I meanend of the day.
Just some teams would getscrewed by being in a really
tough division every year, likethe red socks with the mets,
yankees and phillies.
That's a really tough divisionto have to deal with every

(37:22):
single year, but if you come outof it you're one of the best.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
So I mean, I mean that's kind of it's two-sided as
well, because now it'll forcethose four front offices to
really go for it every yearbecause they know the
competition.
And another part of it is MLBis trying to get to where all
the games are played in twowindows 7 pm and 10 pm.
So I want to see how that works, because obviously in the West

(37:53):
Coast if you play those games at10 pm it's like what 7 o'clock?
Out there there's a lot ofteams in the East, so fitting
them all into a 7 o'clock window, I guess that means you're
going to have a lot of games tochoose from to watch at the same
time.
But yeah, I mean it should besomething that that's good for
baseball.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Yeah no, I, I like it , I like it, I like I said
before.
I mean, a lot of your games areinterleague anyways, so do the
divisions really matter a lot, kind of to some.
You know the, the baseballpurists are gonna be affected by
this.
You know the traditional peopleeverything.
They don't like the pitch clock, they don't like all that kind
of stuff.
I was one of the ones where Ididn't like the pitch clock.

(38:33):
I got accustomed to it.
I didn't like the batterEverything with the batter.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
I got accustomed to it.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
The pace of the player.
Whatever they tried to makethat faster, I thought I was
going to hate it.
I adjusted to it.
If you want to watch baseball, you get over it at the end of
the day.
I mean, games are faster now.
It's not ideal, I guess, tosome because they want to spend
three hours at the ballpark, butI mean that's the sum I guess.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
So yes, I mean stand around and clean up after the
game if you want to spend threehours yeah, I mean get a job at
the ballpark.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
That's all you gotta do.
That's all you gotta do to dothat there.
So let's quick, uh, before Igotta let you go here because I
had to hit a break before we getthere, let's talk some NFL real
fast.
You're Micah Parsons.
Adam Schefter tells us they'recloser to a divorce than they
are to anything else right now.
He says that this is differentthan the Jerry Jones of the past
where Jerry Jones would playwith these guys.

(39:22):
You know, oh yeah, we're notgoing to.
You know we're not going togive you this deal right now.
We're not going to give you adeal.
Then, all of a sudden, he'dthrow the deal at them and he'd
give them this X amount ofdollars and they had no choice
but to stay.
They say Michael Parsons isn'treally all about that right now.
So what are your thoughts onthat right now?
Hearing that?
Because the number one teamthat it seems like that's in for
right now is the Packers.
So Packer fans are excitedright right now.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Look, I think some of these Cowboys legends need to,
you know, break down the door, get in Jerry's face and tell
Jerry to get his ego out of thenegotiations and do what's right
.
I think the Cowboys are goingto struggle this season anyway,
but you can't justify your bestdefensive player going out the

(40:09):
door because you don't want tospeak to agents.
You don't want to act like he'ssome great Cowboys player.
I feel like if Parsons leaves, this could be the move that gets
Jerry out of the front officeSome way somehow.
I think it's crazy that we'vegotten to this point.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Would Dallas Cowboy fans really be upset with that?
I don't think so.
I don't think so at this point.
I think they'd be absolutelyokay if Jerry was out of the
front office.
I don't think they'd be okaywith Micah Parsons leaving.
I think they'd be okay withJerry getting out of the front
office.
Is this what it's going to take?
That would suck, though.
If you're a Dallas Cowboy fan, that it takes Micah Parsons
leaving or getting traded foryou to finally get Jerry Jones

(40:51):
out of that front office makingall the decisions Picture.
That would suck.
That would absolutely suck.
So there's two more guys, twomore big names that we're
looking at right now TreyHendrickson, Terry McLaurin you
were talking about that Mondaynight game.
They were both there.
They were both on opposingsides, not really doing anything
.
What are your thoughts on those?
Do they get deals done?
I'm kind of in the party of.

(41:14):
It's going to be like a weekbefore the season we're going to
get both these deals done, maybe a day before the first
game, I don't know.
But where are you at right now,Trey Hendrickson and Terry
McLaurin?
Do you think both deals getdone?

Speaker 2 (41:22):
I think McLaurin gets done.
If the reporting is correctthat all the Bengals are really
looking for with Trey Hendersonis a first-round pick and a
young defensive player, thenthere's a good chance he's gone,
because I can't see a worldwhere some team doesn't step up
and offer something like that toget Trey Henderson out of

(41:44):
Cincinnati.
So I think Henderson's going tobe gone, which is also kind of
crazy.
The only thing that might workin the Bengals' favor is that
Hendrickson is 30 years old andneeds a new contract.
Some teams might be wary ofthat.
So if that does happen andthere's no market for him, then
the Bengals might be able tokeep him.
But right now I thinkHendrickson's going to be gone.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
My favorite part is that the Packers are the
favorites for Henderson andMicah Parsons.
It makes my day.
It makes my day to know thePackers, and they was told that
they made a massive offer fromMicah Parsons.
So I'd love to see what thatmassive offer was.
I'd love to see what they saidor like.
What was the offer?
But it's crazy to hear that thePackers are in something like
that right now.

(42:27):
So one last thing, kyle, beforeI have to let you go Rank these
quarterbacks.
I just saw this, I wasscrolling through Facebook, and
I just saw this Jordan Love, caleb Williams, jared Goff, jj
McCarthy Rank those quarterbacksfor me real fast.
I don't need an explanation, just rank them for me one
through four.
What do you got?

Speaker 2 (42:44):
I've got Love.
Goff Williams.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
McCarthy.
I love it.
I absolutely love it.
I don't need an explanation forthat, because Jordan loves the
best of them all.
So, kyle, let the people knowwhere to find you out there,
across social media.
Here you can check me out.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Chomp it a Bit.
Go to YouTube.
All my socials are there, easiest way.
Or Facebook, chomp it a Bit.
You know the group, the pagefor the podcast.
You'll find all my stuff thereas well.
Those are the easiest ways tofind me.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Make sure you're doing it.
He's got great stuff out there.
He's going to be previewing allthese matchups, all the things
that you need to know in the NFL.
He makes sure of the NBA.
If anything crazy is happening,he's there too.
He's got all that stuff.
He's previewing that.
So make sure you're checkingthem out there, chomping at the
bit across all podcasts andsocial media platforms there.
So with that, we're going to beright back here after a quick
commercial break.
We're going to talk brewershere on the backside here as we

(43:35):
get closer and closer to the endof the trail here.
So we'll be back here afterthis quick commercial break.
