(00:23):
He does fantastic work.
Check out the Facebook page.
You can see it.
He there's one second there's atree.
The next second it's like it wasnever there.
Like that is as good a work asthat what they do.
It's like boom, tree gone.
There, nothing.
Like it's just there is it'slike they're never there.
It's like poof.
I don't I don't know how they doit, but he's fantastic.
Check him out there.
If you have a tree you needcleaned up here during this
winter, call him up.

(00:43):
Trevor Barth there at BadgerTree Care.
So Umer is back here.
We're starting out hour numbertwo here.
We're gonna talk a little bitmore Packers here.
And Umer, well, we kind oftalked about the injured reserve
and the guys coming back rightbefore the break there.
We know, we know Reed isdefinitely gonna come back in.
We'll see what happens with therest of it.
Gotlin Oliver, we're both kindof in the consensus.
He's probably gonna be like ared shirt kind of guy for the

(01:04):
year, just because he hasn'treally had a practice yet with
the Green Bay Packers.
Lloyd, it's question mark.
We can see a skill setdefinitely have benefiting this
team finally.
They finally found him and nowhe can play football again.
So we'll see what kind ofhappens with Lloyd there.
And then Brenton Cox has beenfantastic when he's been
available.
So we'll see what they do,especially with the injury to
this guy, Devontae Wyatt.
This is a massive injury to thePackers because what Devontae

(01:30):
Wyatt, we saw what he was ableto do there against the Lions
when he the play that he gothurt was the play he actually
opened up a gap for MicahParsons to come through and
whack Jared Goff.
Yeah, like it was on that playwhere he opened up that hole,
and that's what he's been doingthis year, and he's been really
good in the run game, too, forthis team.
So, I mean, how much, in youropinion, does that Devontae

(01:52):
Wyatt injury hurt his team?
It sucks because he was finally, this is his contract year, and
he was finally coming into itwhere it was like this is the
guy that they drafted, this isthe guy that they're hoping he
would become, and bam, there itis.
That just sucks.
So, how much does this injuryhurt the Packers?
Do they have the guys in-housethat can figure this thing out?

(02:12):
Because that's a huge loss to aposition group that actually had
me nervous about the depthalready.
Now you lose Devontae Wyatt.
Now I'm even more nervous.
What do you think?

SPEAKER_01 (02:20):
I mean, honestly, like I think they're gonna have
to figure it out, right?
Right now, yeah, like it's oneof those things where it's a
devastating loss.
Our defense did take a hit withhim being out for those two,
three weeks that he was out, andthey're gonna hopefully that the
reps that Brenson, Stackhousehave gotten, Carl Brooks have
gotten, Willen, Willen hasgotten, you know, those guys are

(02:41):
gonna need to really step up andreally try their best to none of
them will be as impactful asWyatt.
Maybe they will be, I don'tthink so.
But the fact is that they'regonna have to figure out a way
to try their best to fillreally, really big shoes.
You know what I'm saying?
Because for Devontae Wyatt, thebiggest thing about him is he's
305 pounds, runs like a 487, buthis explosion off the line, he

(03:03):
was what everybody thoughtGerell worthy, and like uh what
was that defensive lineman thatthe Packers drafted years ago
was was really great in college, but he was terrible in NFL.
Oh, yes, uh it's an old one,it's an old one, but like
basically what I'm saying islike that that was the kind of
dude he is.
Like he basically lived up tothe hype when it comes to his
explosion, and so I feel likeyou're gonna really have to hope

(03:27):
that the Packers on offense canget these teams one-dimensional,
yeah.
Right, because you know, if wecan get the lead and keep the
lead, and then really just youknow put put get them out of
their run game, I think we havea good shot of not trying to
find a way to minimize Wyatt notbeing there.

SPEAKER_04 (03:47):
You know, who the team that really worries me is
actually the Bears.
Because if you can't get out tothe big if you can't get out to
the big lead against the Bears, they they want to run the
football.
They throwing the football, evenBen Johnson has kind of alluded
to it, it's still a nervousthing for him.
I mean, we've seen Cal Williams, that's his one problem is that
he can make good throws and thenhe can also make some really bad

(04:08):
ones in between there.
So they want to be able to runthe football.
If you, like you said, get outto that lead, be able to make
them have to becomeone-dimensional, you change the
game, but but that's alsogetting out to that big lead and
changing the game and trying toavoid them attacking your
defensive tackles.
Now, Lucas Van Ness injurydefinitely hurts there too,
because you had him earlier onin the year filling into that

(04:30):
center.
Now he's been banged up.
That foot's still giving himproblems.
I don't know when he's gonna beback.
It sounds like he's not close toit.
It really sounds like he's noteven close at times here.
Like, because now they'retalking about injured reserve,
so it doesn't sound like he'sclose.
So you're gonna rely on everyoneelse in house at this point here
to try and figure it out.
And I think it's gonna become alot on this guy who hasn't lived

(04:52):
up to the hype this year.
Rashawn Gary.
Now, I don't want to say RashawnGary has had a better year this
year.
I'm not like statistics-wise,he's had a better year, but for
the contract that he has, I feellike it should be a lot better,
especially now that MicahParsons, because last year, what

(05:12):
did we say was the problem withJohn Gary last year?
He was being double teamedbecause there was nobody else on
the opposite side, right?
So he was being he was beingdouble teamed, there was nobody
else to get him open, so thatwas the problem.
Now we have Micah Parsons, sothe double teams, triple teams,
everything are going to Micah'sside.
Well, John Gary should becleaning house now.
He's got one on well, he's notwinning the one-on-ones.

(05:34):
Yeah, that's a worry, right?
In my opinion, I mean you'retalking isn't this is his
contract year, I thought, forRashawn Gary right now.
I think this is the end of hiscontract.
Pretty darn sure at the end ofhis contract, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01 (05:45):
No, I think he has one more year, I think, but they
can get out of it if they wantto.
Option year, maybe.
Yeah, it might be an option.
They normally do like those, like those four-year deals with
the first two years ofguaranteed, and after that, the
last two years, they canbasically get out of the
contract if they want to.

SPEAKER_04 (05:59):
Yes, so they have a potential out was in 2025.
Yeah, yeah, the contract justcontinues to grow.
Goodness, that thing justcontinues to go.
So, most likely Rajon Gary won'tbe back next year.
That's probably how it's gonnaget played out here.
But I mean, has he he hasn'tlived up to the hype in my
opinion?
What do you think, Umber?
Has he lived up to the hype thisyear?
Because I expected so much more, especially when we said that

(06:22):
Micah Parsons was coming in.
I was like, wow, Rashawn Gary'sgonna have a year for himself.
He's been better, but notexactly to the point where I
thought he'd get.

SPEAKER_01 (06:31):
I mean, I think I think Rashawn has definitely
performed what you'd want him todo.
He's probably one of the top 10,if not top five, run defenders
in the league.
When coming out of Michigan, that was what his calling card
was.
He wasn't a pass rusher.
He was uh he was a run stuffer,he was a he was a call, he was
uh an athletic freak who couldrun, who could basically play

(06:51):
all up and down the line.
I mean, when he was drafted, hewas a defensive lineman, right?
And then defense, defensivelineman, defensive end,
defensive tackle, and then hebasically uh lost a little
weight and then got to become apass rusher.
Now, yeah, do I love to see himhave like a you know, for every
time that uh Parsons has like adouble or triple team, he's
winning his one-on-ones.
Oh, I would love that.
But again, I feel like the way Iheard some of the guys were

(07:14):
saying was like if he's outthere, bust his butt, you know,
Jeff Hatley said this, he'sbusting his butt, he's expending
a lot of energy and time, energy, and just trying to stop
the run and make those kinds ofplays.
When it comes time for thosepass rushing plays, he doesn't
have it, you know, hence why hissnaps are down.
Maybe not to say that hisconditioning is bad, but just
that if he's because you knowwhen you got a guy like Parsons,

(07:36):
Parsons out there, I mean it'shard to say because Parsons
literally is out there for everysingle play.
He's playing like 90% of thesnaps, right?
Right.
When it comes to Rashawn Gary, Ifeel like they are cutting back
his snaps because of that, andother guys are stepping up too.
Like I was saying, like IanBarray's been killing it, you
know, and I definitely feel likeif Brenton Cox gets put back up,
that guy could do everything, you know.
I agree with you.

(07:56):
Would we want more from RashawnGary?
Absolutely.
I still think he's doing prettywell.
I think he's still gonna hit 10to 12 sacks this year.
Um, but um, I'm not gonna hateon him.
I just think that since they'vegone Parsons, I feel like his
role has changed.
I don't think he's out theretrying to be like, you know,
when we had, you remember backin the day when we had like uh
Kyle Frackle, Fackel, and uh anduh Clay Matthews, right?

(08:20):
And Clay Matthews gained tripledouble triple team, and then you
know, Frackroll would have likea 10-sack game and we're happy
10-sack season, we're reallyhappy about that, right?
Yeah, but again, like you thinkabout you know, Frackle was like
a fourth round pick, and RashawnGary's a top 10 first round or
top 12 first round pick.
So I'm with you 100%.

SPEAKER_04 (08:35):
No, 100%.
I I agree, I agree.
It's just I guess when you bringin a guy like Parsons, we talked
about last year the problem withRashawn Gary was his inability
to win in you know, when you'regetting double teamed, it's
hard, but his inability there.
So now when the double teamsfocus somewhere else, it's just
that expectation, okay.
Now you're one on one, we needyou to win it, especially you
give him the money that you did,you expect him to be able to win

(08:56):
those one-on-ones, and we justhaven't seen it at high of a
clip.
But like you said, I mean, it'sin the run game, it's in
everything.
So he's got his role.
I guess I'm just we want to seethat next step.
We want to see that next level.
Yep, we want us, we want to seethe more because when you have
two dominant guys on the edges, that's a scary defense.
That's a scary defense to goagainst there.
So I guess we're just expectingto see a lot.
We we want to see more, and andthat should not be a crazy

(09:18):
thought there to see more there.
So Amor, I gotta run here.
Let the people know quick whereto find you out there across
social media.

SPEAKER_01 (09:24):

So when we come back from thebreak here, Kyle's gonna stop

We have some NFL talk to get to,college football, all that stuff

(09:57):
in between.
So we'll come back here.
Kyle's gonna be here when we getback from the break.
We'll be right back in doingwe've got sports on the go with
Trage.
I'm your host, Trage, as we comeback here on this Wednesday.
And hey, this next segment here,Kyle's stopping by.
We're gonna talk a little NFLtalk.
We have power rankings there.
We had the Lane Kiffin situationthat we wanted to get into.
We have a whole slug of thingsto get into in the national
sporting news.

(10:18):
Before we get there, though, this next segment is brought to
you by Sport and Spine Clinic ofGreenwood, Wisconsin, expert

Sport and Spine Clinic ofGreenwood, Wisconsin.
There.
So Kyle is here tonight.

(10:39):
Kyle, how are we doing?
It's Wednesday.
Hopefully you're doing betterthan I am.
I am like, uh I am well, notsick, not sick.
The voice is just going, it'srough.
You can tell.
Kyle, how how are you doing onthis Wednesday?

SPEAKER_00 (10:52):
No, I'm doing well.
Um, look, the team's on a bye,so I don't have a whole week to
think about who they're playingto win or not.
Count off a big win.
Um I'm loving it right now.

SPEAKER_04 (11:08):
Kyle's doing good.
The Patriots just continuouslybeat up teams, and it's
impressive.
It is, it is mightily impressivewhat we've seen out of the
Patriots this year.
So, Kyle, we have to get into itright away before we get over to
that NFL talk, college footballtalk.
We have to do our mellow yellowminutes of the trivia portion of
the show in honor of my grandpa.
He loved mellow yellow, he lovedtrivia, we do it some mellow

(11:29):
yellow minute.
So, coming off Thanksgiving, coming off of Black Friday, we
said to ourselves, well, youknow, what are we gonna do for a
trivia question for the day?
So we're looking up Black Fridaydeals.
That was a that was a hole.
We couldn't find anything overthere.
We were like, okay, well, whatif we did the top five popular
dates to put up your Christmasdecor?
Because this is always a bigquestion mark.

(11:50):
Do you put it up beforeThanksgiving, after
Thanksgiving?
So I compiled a list.
Here is the list that came upwhen I was searching up dates
that people put up their holidaydecorations for Christmas.
So, Kyle, are you ready to guessthe top five?
Yes.
All right, so we have the dayafter Thanksgiving, we have the
first day of Advent, which isthis technically it's gonna be

(12:13):
November 30th, I believe, there.
So that'll be the first day.
We have December 1st, we haveNovember 1st, or we have the
first weekend in November.

SPEAKER_00 (12:29):
Okay, so this is this is definitely an
interesting one.
I think five, I will go withI'll go November 1st.

SPEAKER_04 (12:41):
Number five is not November 1st.

SPEAKER_00 (12:44):
Okay.
That seems early.

SPEAKER_04 (12:48):
It's gonna be weird one that where that lands.

SPEAKER_00 (12:52):
Okay.
Is it the first weekend ofNovember?

SPEAKER_04 (12:56):
It is not.
It is not the first weekend ofNovember either.
That is not number five.
Number five is gonna it's gonnaconfuse you.

SPEAKER_00 (13:03):
The only one that probably would confuse me is
December 1st.

SPEAKER_04 (13:07):
December 1st is number five.

SPEAKER_00 (13:09):
Okay.
Okay.
I think I kind of see where thisis going.
So then four, I will go.
Is November 1st number 4?

SPEAKER_04 (13:25):
It is not.
Imagine the k imagine this wholelist is backwards, Kyle.
Just imagine the whole list isbackwards.

SPEAKER_00 (13:31):
Like I didn't want to go that way, but I feel like
one does seem okay.
Oh man.
Uh November 30th.

SPEAKER_04 (13:43):
November 30th.
November 30th.
So first day of Advent, as theycall it.
November 30th.
That'll be the number four onthe list.
So you have November 1st, theday after Thanksgiving, and the
first weekend of November lefton the list.

SPEAKER_00 (13:56):
So number three.
This one's tough.
I will go the day afterThanksgiving.

SPEAKER_04 (14:03):
Day after Thanksgiving, Kyle.
Just yeah, I'm telling you, justthe list is backwards to what
you think it actually should be.
Yes.

SPEAKER_00 (14:10):
Two, I will go November 1st.

SPEAKER_04 (14:14):
It is.
It is November 1st.
Number one is the first weekendin November.
So people are putting up theirholiday decor from one to five.
The first weekend of November.
November 1st is 2nd.
The day after Thanksgiving isthird.
The first day of Advent, whichis November 30th.
That comes down to number four.
And then December 1st is numberfive on that list.
The list is backwards, man.

(14:35):
That's how I know.
The list is backwards.
I drive, I'm like, I love thatyou guys are getting in the
holiday spirit when it'sNovember's like 15th.
I don't need to see yourChristmas lights on.
Like, I don't, I don't need tosee Santa Claus out front there.
He ain't in town yet.
So yeah, just uh yeah, justthere you go.
There's the Melly Hill minutefor the day there.
So, Kyle, we got to get over.
Where should we start?

(14:56):
Where should we start?
College football or should westart with the NFL?
Where do you want to start?
Let's start college football.
Let's start college football.
Let's start with the biggest.
We we're not here to really talkabout the whole grand scheme of
things.
Let's talk about this LaneKiffin situation because this is
something that affects all ofcollege football.
So Lane Kiffin over the weekend,he finally made his decision.
He is gonna go to LSU.

(15:16):
Leave Ole Miss, go to LSU.
Now, Lane still wants to coachOld Miss.
Well, the AD said, no, no, no,no, no.
That ain't happening.
You ain't coaching, you ain'tcoaching here anymore.
You left.
I don't know, Kyle.
Am I am I petty if I say that Iagree with the AD?
Like, get out.
You don't want to be here.
You took another job.
I mean, Scott Van Pelt said itthe best.

(15:38):
He's like, you imagine you'reyou're a husband, you're a wife
at home, and your husband says,I'm gonna go with the neighbor.
I'm gonna go to the neighbor andyou know be with them for now,
but I'm gonna stay untilChristmas for the kids.
No, no, no, no, no.
Like you're you're leaving.
Like, go get out.
Like, I don't want you anymore.
That's where I'm kind of at.
It's like you left.
Now I get you had now I get thewhole grand scheme of things.
We're gonna talk about that in asecond.

(15:59):
But do you believe that LaneKiffin should be like, should
they allow him to coach Ole Missthe rest of the year?

SPEAKER_00 (16:06):
So I think like if you're a player on the team, you
probably would have wanted Laneto coach because you're going to
the playoff, and hey, why not goout possibly winning a
championship?
But yeah, if I'm the AD, you'vealready taken another job.
I don't want you hanging aroundto where now maybe you're
getting in players' ears, like, hey, try to get out of here,

(16:28):
come on over to LSU, I'll takecare of you.
And coaches as well.
I do, I mean, I do know that Ibelieve his OC or whatever is
gonna be allowed to coach at OleMiss or something like that.
I guess that's something theyworked out, but yeah, I have no
problem with the AD saying, like, we're good, we we'll start

(16:51):
our process of uh life withoutyou now, even though I always
hate seeing coaches leave as ateam is going to a playoff,
especially kind of the the leapsand bounds that old miss has
made under Lane Kiven, but thatthat's college football for you.

SPEAKER_04 (17:08):
Let's start, let's let's just start there.
This is the problem that collegefootball has created, right?
Because their early signingperiod has opened up today.
As we're talking, this we'reprerecorded, so we don't get we
didn't get to talk about theearly signing period today, but
it opened up today.
So they have from today untilthe fifth to have that signing
done.
That's what college teams arebuilding themselves off of,
especially the early signingperiod.

(17:29):
So you have to be in place.
You can't just say, oh, I'mgonna go to LSU after the
playoff because, well, I got toget to LSU because I have to
sign these guys.
That's where your problem comesin.
So the college football hascaused this problem because they
don't have.
I don't get why.
I don't understand why theycan't figure this one out.
It seems real simple.
Push everything back till theplayoffs done, till everything's

(17:50):
done, push it back.
Open up the signing period afterthe playoffs done, let the
coaches migrate after theplayoffs done, open up the
transfer portal after theplayoffs done, good.
But you're in the middle ofconference championship week and
you have the early signingperiod, really?
Like you shouldn't have toworry, and I know everything now
is recruiting and transfers andeverything now along the around

(18:11):
the landscape, but you shouldn'thave to if your head coach be
worrying about retaining guysand everything right now.
Because we saw last year, likeBo Perbiula there with uh Penn
State, he had to leave in themiddle of the playoff because,
well, he had to transfer out.
They knew he wasn't gonna playthe next year, so he had to
transfer out.
Well, we see what happened therethen.
You have you have bad bloodbetween guys, you don't know
what you know, fans get upset.

(18:31):
Well, the NCAA has to fix this.
And I mean, is it is it reallythat hard?
Like, I don't understand why whyit seems like this is an
impossible task to fix when youcould fix it, I mean, within a
day.
Say here, this is what's gonnahappen.
Signing period's gonna happenthis day, and then we're gonna
have a transfer portal.
Then coaches, the coaches canleave before that.
Whatever.
Have the coaches leave, they geta week.

(18:52):
Then after that, the signingperiod happens.
After that, we have that.
Why do we have two signingperiod windows?
Why?
I don't care.
We don't need two.
Like, why is there one in thelike right now, and then you
have one in February?
I don't need two.
Give me one in February, give methe transfer portal, open it up
before that, so you can haveyour transfers come in, you can
have your signing period all atthe same time.
Get all that done, give thecoaches time to leave.
It's simple, isn't it, Kyle?

SPEAKER_00 (19:15):
I mean, it seems like it, but we know with the
NCAA, nothing is simple.
And just speaking of liketransfer portal and all that,
that's also the tricky part witha lot of this.
Is obviously with Lane leavingthe comfort zone for him will be
the kids he was recruiting toOle Miss, he'll now just try to

(19:36):
flip them to LSU now.
So now obviously whoever OleMiss picks up as their next
coach will be a little behind, unless they obviously they kind
of do the same thing wherethey're leaving a program and
flipping some of the recruitswho were coming with them over
to Ole Miss.
Like it creates such a messy uhenvironment that.

(20:01):
Yeah, I feel like you just feelthat there is a simple solution
to this, but you almost kind ofthink the NCAA loves this.
They they're on they're part ofthe news cycle, even though the
college football playoffs shouldbe enough for them.
But this Lane Kiffin story hasbeen a big deal.

SPEAKER_05 (20:20):
Yep.

SPEAKER_00 (20:20):
And they're there, you know, attention is always
something that is that theseleagues and everything that
strive for.
So I doubt they change anything, but I agree with you.
It should be very simple how todo their calendar.

SPEAKER_04 (20:34):
Yeah, like what does Ole Miss do now?
I mean, I would have basically,if you thought that he was gonna
fight like he's gonna leave, youshould have fired him weeks ago.
I mean, just said, walk out thedoor, man.
We want your decision tomorrow, you know, before the egg bowl,
everything like that.
Like, because now Ole Miss is inthe same spot that LSU was gonna
be, and Penn State doesn't knowwhat they're doing up there.
That seems baffling that theyhaven't found a head coach up
there yet.
They've been in talks with BYU'scoach, but he apparently they

(20:57):
haven't figured out staffing ora contract or anything.
They have until tomorrow.
Like Ole Miss has until tomorrowto say, okay, is my is the OC
just gonna step up and be thehead coach of this team?
Like, is that how we're gonnarecruit guys in?
How's this gonna work?
Because now you're recruitingguys to an empty program with
no, you don't know if thestaff's gonna be back.
Like, it is the new head coachthat comes in, is he gonna keep

(21:18):
the staff?
I don't know.
Like, it's it's such a weird,like you're saying, it's it's
just disorganized.
And now Lane Kiffin's left hishole.
He goes to LSU.
Okay, good for LSU, but now OldMiss is like, oh, well, what do
we do now?
So, like, it's just yeah, it'sjust a mess.
It is an absolute mess.
So, Lane Kiffin and that wholethe analysts that are
complaining about it, just stopit.
Nobody cares, nobody cares, nobody thinks he should be

(21:39):
coaching this team.
Old Miss fans, old Miss doesn'tlike LSU, right?
So I don't know why you wouldthink that they want a guy who's
gonna go coach for the rival tofinish coaching their team.
They're done with you.
They're done.
You left, you went to a rival, you went to an SEC school rival,
we're done with you.
Bye.
It's not an in it's not like apromotion.
Like when coaches are beingpromoted, like I believe what is

(22:00):
it, Tulane's coach is gonna go,is he going to Florida?
He's gonna be promoted.
Like they're good with it.
They're like, okay, you'regetting promoted.
Like, we don't really, we're notgonna like penalize you for
that.
Lane Kiffin's like goinglateral.
LSU's not LSU's a historicprogram, but right now, as you
look at it, they're lateral toold, excuse me, they're good and
see my voice is just going, they're lateral to a whole mess

(22:20):
there.
So, I mean, it's just yeah, itis just a mess around college
football, and it's gonnacontinue to be a mess until the
until the NCAA steps in and doessomething there.
So, Kyle, we got to get to theNFL power rankings.
We gotta hop over that.
So, I mean, this last week,Thanksgiving, some good games
there.
The Bears pull off a win againstthe Eagles.
That blew my mind on Fridaythere.

(22:41):
The Eagles are so dysfunctional,it's not even funny at this
point.
And then the AFC picture, thePatriots just continuously put
the shellacking on teams, aswe're seeing right now.
I mean, Kyle, let's go to thepower rankings here.
Who do you got?
NFC top five for this week.

SPEAKER_00 (22:57):
All right, so I'm actually gonna start at number
five with the Bears.
I I know a lot of people look atthe Bears, they're nine and
three, they're leading theconference and everything, but I
do think Ben Johnson kind of letus know that the passing game
just isn't there.
And we've seen it.
We saw you know Caleb shorthopping some throws, and I feel

(23:22):
like I had to bump them down forthat.
But look, the running game isstrong, and I do think they have
that identity where they canprobably try to bully people in
January, and it may work againstsome teams, but I have them at
five.
Four?
I think this team has beenquiet.
I'm going with the 49ers.

SPEAKER_04 (23:43):
Oh, I like that.

SPEAKER_00 (23:44):
They they've had injuries all over the place, and
they just keep winning.
So I have them at four, eventhough they have their own
issues.
You know, Purdy has been alittle off and on since he's
come back into the lineup.
Um, you know, Mac Jones lookedreally good in his time in
there, and they are kind of abit too CMC centric, but I I'm

(24:09):
gonna give them respect and givethem four.
Three?
I'm putting the Packers.
And I think they're another teamthat like a couple of weeks ago
seemed like people kind oftossed aside, but they're
getting guys back.
I believe Jaden Reed's on hisway back, and you know, once he

(24:30):
gets back in there, that'sanother option for Jordan Love.
And this is usually the time ofthe year where Jordan Love
really takes his game to anotherlevel.
So I think that they're gonna bea team to watch here down the
stretch.
And look, I wouldn't besurprised if they win the NFC
North and probably maybe a topseed in the NFC going into the

(24:52):
playoffs.
Look, imagine if they were anumber one seed and all roads
led through Lambeau Field.
That could be interesting.
Rams are a really good team.
Uh, I mean, Matt Stafford had abad game against the Panthers
and you know, turned the ballover a little bit, obviously

(25:14):
more than he normally would.
Defensively, I like theirdefensive front on the back end,
is a little questionable, but Istill think they're a really
good team.
And then one I'm going with theSeahawks because look, even what
last week where they had theturnovers against the Rams and
they almost won that, then thisweek they didn't look great, but

(25:38):
they like shut out you know theopponent, even in a game where
they have brought like their Bminus game.
I think they're a team thatcould be very dangerous as well.
They're not look, that's anotheratmosphere.
If you had to go there in theplayoffs, tough place to play
out in Seattle.

SPEAKER_04 (25:54):
Right.
No, I I like that list.
I mean, one and two, you couldprobably flip either way you
wanted to.
The Bears, I agree.
It's if they go into Lambo andknock on wood, win that game.
I we're talking about adifferent.
We're talking about the Bearsdifferent.
They beat the Eagles, adysfunctional team, like we said
before.
Now it's still a good win.
I credit them the win.
I credit them the win.
It was a good win, very good winon the road.

(26:15):
Now it's about can you go toLambeau and beat them?
That's gonna be the big questionmark for me because you got two
games against the Packers herein three weeks.
So it's gonna be an interestingstretch there for that NFC
North.
But I completely agree with yourlist outside of that.
The NFC West is like reverse NFCself, like actually good and
close, not like you know, terrible and close, like we see
down there.
So AFC picture, Kyle.

(26:36):
Top five.
This one's a little bit ugly, like there's some ugly ones in
here.
What do you got, AFC top five?

SPEAKER_00 (26:43):
Five, I'm going with the Chargers.
Don't feel necessarily greatabout it, especially with uh the
broken bone and uh non-throwinghand for Justin Herbert, but
that's gonna be something towatch.
Four, I have the Bills.
The Bills are a team I feel likeare trying to find themselves

(27:03):
again with some of the momentumthey had early in the year, and
then they lost it there withsome questionable losses against
like the Falcons and teams likethat.
They have a big game, obviously, coming against the Patriots in a
couple of weeks.
Three, I'm going with theTexans.
I I know they're third in theAFC South right now, but I feel
like they are playing the bestfootball right now, and I would

(27:24):
not be surprised if they endedup winning that division.
That defense is relentless, andas long as CJ Stroud doesn't
turn the ball over, they'll befine.
Two, I'm going with the Broncos.
They love living on the edge, but there is something to say
about a team that consistentlywins one score games.

(27:45):
It's a heart attack waiting tohappen, but a lot of playoff
games are tightly contested, andthey will be proven in those
moments.
And that defense is well, prettygood.
One, I'm going with thePatriots.
I know people talk about theirschedule and everything, but
they have faced like five of thetop ten past defenses this

(28:06):
season, have performed wellagainst them.
Drake May's taking his game up.
And if you watch that Giantsgame, probably more so than
previous seasons, that defenseis now fast and hits hard.
Belichick's defense has usuallyhad some slow guys who were kind
of fundamentally sound.
This Patriots defense justrallies to the ball and just

(28:28):
looks to knock guys out.
So love what I'm seeing fromthem.
I have them at number one thisweek.

SPEAKER_04 (28:32):
I have no describe, I have no problems with that
list, to be honest with you.
The Patriots.
The difference is you look atthe schedule, you can argue the
schedule, but you can also say, look at how they've performed in
those games.
Look at the eye test.
And the eye test tells me that'sa darn good football team.
Maybe not fully battle tested, you might be able to argue, but
they they're gonna take theirthey're gonna take their scars

(28:52):
against some teams, but theyhave looked very good.
So I will completely agree withthat list there quick.
So Kyle, we had to run, we hadto we had a quick get into our
pick'em before I gotta let yougo here.
Let's go.
Kyle, I think you won again lastweek.
So you know what?
I'm gonna go first this weekbecause I'm pretty sure I'm
pretty sure you won again.
So like I'm gonna try to pickthe uh try to pick some games
before you here.
So I'm gonna go with a dangerousone.

(29:15):
Cowboys, Lions, both fightingfor their lives.
Give me the Lions on a longerrest.
The Lions will have a longerrest coming off Thanksgiving to
there.
Wait, both of them did, didn'tthey?
Yeah, both of them have longrest there coming into that one.
So I mean, I'm gonna go both onlong rest Thursday to Thursday,
but give me the Lions to winthat one.

SPEAKER_00 (29:32):
All right.
Um, I'm gonna start off bold aswell.
Give me the Texans over theChiefs Sunday night.
Ooh, I like that one.

SPEAKER_04 (29:42):
I like that one.
Basically, if the Chiefs losethat game, they're they're they
might be out of it.
Yep, I agree with that onethere.
We have a this is gonna be aninteresting one on Monday night.
Chargers, Eagles.
Eagles, they lose another one.
This is getting scary times forthem, especially if the Cowboys
beat the Lions on Thursdaynight.

(30:02):
Give me the Chargers to win thatgame.
Give me the Chargers.
I think this Eagles team, Ithink there's good teams that
miss the playoffs every once ina while.
This might be a team that missedthe playoffs because they're
just that dysfunctional.
Give me the Chargers.

SPEAKER_00 (30:14):
Okay.
Um, I'm gonna go Ravens over theSteelers in an ugly game.
Both teams have a lot of issuesright now, but the Steelers seem
like they have a lot of internalissues where Rodgers is
deflecting, they have guysasking for release.

(30:36):
They just it's it's a lot goingon.
So give me the Ravens over theSteelers.

SPEAKER_04 (30:41):
Jaguars Colts.
Give me the Jags.
Colts are in a free fall rightnow.
They don't Daniel Jones isbroken, they don't know what to
do.
Give me the Jags to win that onethere to keep pace with the
Texans there at the top.

SPEAKER_00 (30:53):
Okay.
Uh let's see.
Final one, I will go with.
I guess it's kind of an easyone, but I'll I'll take the
Broncos over the Raiders.

SPEAKER_04 (31:09):
Broncos over Raiders.

SPEAKER_00 (31:10):
There we go.
They'll make look way toointeresting, but I feel like the
Broncos get it done again.
There you go.

SPEAKER_04 (31:17):
There you go.
So, Kyle, thank you as alwaysfor stopping by tonight.
Let the people know where tofind you out there across social
media.

SPEAKER_00 (31:23):
Yeah, so I guess Facebook, YouTube, Chomp of the
Bit, easiest way to find me.
All the other social links willbe in my profiles on those two.
That's that's the best way tofind me.

SPEAKER_04 (31:35):

They are from the WiscoFanatics.
So I'll start right away.

Tyler.
Either way, whoever wants tostart.
Introduce yourself.
Let people know who you are andabout what you got, how you guys
got your start.
Because I mean, I love yourguys' page and your shows and
everything like that.

(32:38):
So let them know how you gotyour start.

SPEAKER_03 (32:40):
Yeah, so I'm Tyler.
I'm the host of Wisco Fanatics.
Uh our show started basically asuh growing up and watching
Sports Center all day, everyday, and wanting to have our own
Wisconsin sports version ofthat.
And that's that's what we'vedone with Wisco Fanatics.

SPEAKER_02 (32:54):
Yeah, so I'm Jake.
Uh I ride in the sidecar.
Tyler, Tyler does most of theheavy lifting, but I bring uh I
bring the comic relief, is likeI I like to tell everybody all
the time.
So uh I have some smart thingsto say as well, but Tyler says
most of the smart things, but welike to have fun, we like to
talk sports, and we're just guysbeing dudes.

SPEAKER_04 (33:11):
You gotta have the comedy side.
If you don't have the comedyside, I mean you're nothing.
You gotta you gotta have thatlittle bit of spice in there.
I mean, if it was justinformational, Bill Michaels
wouldn't have a job.
I mean, he he's gotta bring thatspice every day to us a little
bit there.
So the I'm glad to have theseguys because they're awesome.
They're gonna be on for Buckstalk here.
They're gonna be my Bucks.
I think they phrased it as Buckscorrespondence, which I was
like, yeah, that's a big word.

(33:31):
I did not think above that one.
I had to pull up my thesaurusand think of 14 other words to
go along with that one there.
But happy to have these guys onhere tonight.
And they're gonna be a part ofthe Foreman's hardware.
Who has to bring the tools to anupcoming matchup here?
Because we got a lot of bigones.
The Badgers, they're coming offa rough showing against TCU.
They're gonna be taking onNorthwestern.
We got that coming up.

(33:52):
We got the Packers, Bears.
That's gonna be an exciting one.
Badger football, sadly, is done.
I don't know if that's sadeither way.
So we have nothing to go with inthere.
And then we got the Bucs.
The Bucs have some good matchupscoming up here.
So let's start right away.
I mean, Joe, okay, we'restarting with Jake, right?
Jake?
Yes, sir.
Who is your who is your guy whohas to bring the tools to an
upcoming matchup here?

SPEAKER_02 (34:11):
Well, I would say the guy that has to bring the
tools is obviously Miles Turner.
I think that's obvious for me.
Now, you think of the Bucs, thefirst name you think of is
Giannis Adatakumbo.
Rightfully so, right?
He's everything for the Bucs.
And then Kevin Porter Jr.
returned the other day.
He's been he's been very good inthe short stints that he's
played this season.
First quarter of the first gameon October 22nd, and obviously

(34:31):
the last game that they played,he was very good.
The Bucs were elite on both endsof the court when he was back.
The guy who's kind of the thirdwheel, who I think people have
too high of expectations for,and also a little bit under
underappreciated in things thathe does.
Um, he spaces the floor reallywell.
He is a really good screensetter, floor spacer, like I
said, and he plays elitedefense.

(34:53):
It's a different style ofdefense, but it's still a very
good uh form of defense.
So I think it's Miles Turnerwho's gonna be the guy that
takes this, takes his game andhis team to the next level.

SPEAKER_04 (35:03):
I love that one.
I love that one.
I know we're gonna talk abouthim coming up here in the Bucks
segment, but I I love that onethere.
Tyler, who do you got for me?
Who's gotta bring the tools toan upcoming matchup for you?

SPEAKER_03 (35:12):
So I didn't go necessarily a specific guide to
bring a tool, but I brought aspecific tool that I want all of
the guys to bring.
And it's for all of the guys inthe Milwaukee Bucks to bring a
winning mentality.
So starting with this week andextending through all of
December, I look at the 13 gamesthe Bucks have on the December
slate, and I obviously they canwin all of them, but a

(35:34):
realistically, if they're lockedin, I believe the Bucks can go
11 and 2 in December.

SPEAKER_04 (35:39):
100%.
100%, especially yes, witheverybody back.
I love that one there.
I went completely in left fieldto where you guys went.
You guys went Bucs?
I went completely the oppositedirection.
I gotta go with the Badgersbecause this guy for the
Badgers, Austin Rapp.
I was super excited about himcoming in.
I was like, okay, they have aninside presence.
They have a guy who can spacethe floor for him.
He's gonna be physical.

(35:59):
I'm getting the opposite of thatright now with Austin Rapp.
And I got to see him start toget on the interior, start to be
able to battle there a littlebit on the boards.
He's been too inconsistent sofar for this team.
Nolan Winter's been bangingaround with the best of them.
Nick Boyd gets out of control attimes.
We talked about that earlier.
He gets out of control at times.
John Black, well, those twodon't know how to live together,
right?
Once they figure out how to livetogether, it's gonna be crazy.

(36:20):
But Austin Rapp, for me, has gotto be a guy who's got to bring
the tools, especially against ateam like Northwestern.
They're always feisty.
They're always a team that givesthe batters troubles.
They like to play physical.
And if Austin Rap does not playup to the physical level that
Northwestern does, I don't evenknow how much I want to see of
them in that game becausethere's guys on that bench who I
know can bring a little bit moreof a presence down there.
Whereas he has been the oppositefor me so far.

(36:42):
So Austin Raph has got to be myguy for who needs to bring the
tools to an upcoming match upthere.
So we got some bucks talk to gettoo.
I'm excited.
I'm excited.
These guys, I tell you what, youguys got to tune into their
show.
They have well, technically, aswe're talking, their show just
happened.
And then across live, so wetalked about the whisper on
Facebook.
And I believe you guys are onYouTube, right?
You guys are on YouTube acrossthere and that podcast nights

(37:02):
too.

SPEAKER_03 (37:03):
Yeah, so we we broadcast live Tuesday nights at
eight o'clock Central Time.
We talk about the Packers.
Uh, and then we have two guysthat join us for that as well.
And then on Wednesdays, uh, wedo starting at four o'clock.
Uh, might start a little bitearlier now that Jake and I are
playing basketball onWednesdays, but um Tuesday or
Wednesdays, uh, four o'clock, wedo uh Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee
Brewers, and then Badgersbasketball and football.

(37:24):
And we have a Badger guy whojoins us for our Badgers content
as well.
Awesome, awesome.

SPEAKER_04 (37:28):
The Badger football talks probably weren't great
this year, but they got betterand then they got worse again.
So it was it was it was a rollercoaster.
It's too up and down.
I don't even want to get tothat.
I'm so sick of that.
We talked about it earlier inthe show.
I'm so sick of talking aboutthat.
Let's talk about some bucksbecause the bucks are on the up,
right?
The bucks are on the ups.
Let's talk about what we sawbecause I don't I'm sick of
talking about the GiannislessBucks.

(37:48):
I'm sick of talking about that.
Let's talk about what we sawwhen he came back when Kevin
Porter came back.
What are you guys' impressionsas of late?
So let's I'm basically this lastgame out here against the Nets.
I mean, what did you guys likein that matchup?
That I mean, you got your guysback.
What do you like moving forwardnow?

SPEAKER_02 (38:04):
Okay, so I'll I'll go first.
Um, Kevin Porter Jr.
brings so much to this Bucksroster that is is understated
and not noticed.
Um, much like the Packers whenthey traded for Micah Parsons,
there was just a level ofconfidence and and you know,
swagger that was brought to thedefense.
And look look at how they'replaying as of late, especially,

(38:25):
uh, and to start the season.
Now, Kevin Porter Jr.
does the same thing for theBucks where he brings such a
confidence with his shot.
I mean, look, he made the firstshot that he that he took.
That was crazy.
I was like, oh yeah, dude, we'reso back.
Um, but he's he's a goodathlete.
He's able to get downhill.
The Bucs needed another guy thatcan get to the basket because
you know, even when Giannis wasout, it was just Ryan Rollins,

(38:46):
really, that was trying to getto the rim.
And that's not enough.
In today's NBA, you need to beable to shoot threes, which the
Bucs do at an elite level.
They have enough shooters.
He need to be able to break downthe defense with the dribble,
which Kevin Porter definitelyadds that layer to his game.
So uh, on top of being anotherball handler getting downhill,
he's the alpha male next toGiannis.
He's not afraid of the moment.
Uh, Kevin Porter Jr.

(39:06):
is uh a welcome sight for soreeyes, I will say.

SPEAKER_03 (39:10):
Yeah, as far as good and bad impressions, for me, any
bad uh impressions outside ofobviously not having Giannis uh
stem from two things.
Um, one would be the free throwdisparity.
Uh in the month of November, theBucks opponents had made more
free throws than the Bucks evenattempted in 13 of their 16
games.
That's over 81%, and eight outof 11 games that Giannis played

(39:33):
in.
Um, so that's still 72.7%.
So it's not just you know a lackof Giannis that's leading to a
free throw disparity for theBucs.
Then the other thing you youtalked about, you know, don't
want to be focusing too much onthe Bucs without Giannis, and
the Bucs obviously had a sevengame losing streak in November.
The first one was a second of aback to back against the Lakers
after the Bucs had an overtimewin against Charlotte the night

(39:54):
before.
And then the second um thesecond game was against the
Cavaliers when the Bucs lostthe.
That was the second of theirseven-game looning streak, and
then they lost five more gameswithout him.
It shouldn't really shockanybody that this team struggles
without Giannis because Ibelieve that this is the most
specifically built aroundGiannis roster that John Horace

(40:16):
has ever assembled.

SPEAKER_04 (40:18):
Yeah.
No, I I can completely see thatone.
I can completely see that onethere.
Let's talk.
Okay, so let's just talk otherguys on this roster right now,
the way that they're kind ofplaying right now.
Gary Harris.
That's a guy I want to ask youguys about going into this one
because he we haven't reallyseen a lot of them.
And then as of late, he's kindof came on.
I mean, what what are your guys'impressions?
What have you liked out of a guylike Gary Harris?
Maybe some other guys off thisbench that maybe you guys have

(40:39):
liked as of late here.

SPEAKER_02 (40:41):
Yeah, so for those of you that may not know, this
guy was a top 10 pick back in2014 out of Michigan State.
Uh, I believe he was drafted toDenver.
Is it Denver?
Am I thinking that correctly?
Um, I know he went to Orlandoafter that, and he played about
15 minutes per game last yearfor Orlando.
So um Orlando let go of himbecause they needed more offense
because he was they were sodefensive oriented that he got a

(41:03):
lot of defense, you know, thrownat him and a lot of defensive
responsibility.
So the magic are getting rid ofa guy that plays defense when
they have a bunch of defendersand they want more offense, and
the Bucs are looking for moredefense.
So this is just a perfectmarriage.
Where Gary Harris is a dog, he'sbeen in the league for 12 years,
and he brings a lot of gooddefense.
He's also a very good athlete,and being a top 10 pick, you

(41:24):
know how to score.
He's had he's had six years inhis career where he has averaged
double digit points per game.
So I'm not shocked that he knowshow to score, he knows how to
space, uh, he knows how to playhis own defense, which the Bucs
should play more of credit to mybuddy Tyler for pointing that
out.
But Gary Harris, he's he's areally good, really interesting
piece for the Bucs, but it's ona roster where a bunch of guys

(41:45):
are 6'4, 6'5.
I mean, they need they need moreguys that are 6'9, but I will
say that Garrett Harris has beenvery good in his role.
I think he should stay aroundthe 13-minute mark where he has
been because he's very efficientright there.
Uh his legs might get a littletired, he's had a lot of lower
leg injuries, but um, GaryHarris has been good for the
Bucs.
I'd say solid.

SPEAKER_03 (42:07):
I'm a little bit surprised by his impact.
Honestly, when he was signed, Iviewed him just as like shooting
guard depth if we needed anothershooter.
Um I didn't uh to Jake's credit,I didn't see him making as big
of an impact defensively.
And honestly, as a passer isanother way that Gary Harris has
made a good impact.
And uh we'll have some some filmon our show as well of Gary

(42:30):
Harris making some hustle playsuh and some stuff like that.
So being kind of a a pesky pesttype backup guard, uh something
that's become really prevalentin the Eastern Conference with
guys like TJ McConnell andPeyton Purchase who just come
off the bench and just annoyyour all your guards.
Uh something that Gary Harrishas done for the Bucs recently.

SPEAKER_04 (42:50):
Right, right.
And so I I love that there.
I love that there.
Let's talk about a guard for theBucs in Cole Anthony.
Right now, the way it started, Iwas like, oh wow, the Bucs have
really got a steal in him.
You got Kevin Porter.
When he comes back, you're gonnahave him, you're gonna have Cole
Anthony, you're Ryan Rollins.
This is gonna be a really, really good backcourt.
And then Cole Anthony has kindof slipped as a play.

(43:11):
Are you guys looking at it?
Are you worried about ColeAnthony?
Do you think he should get lessminutes until he kind of figures
it out?
I mean, you can't really figureit out if you're not getting
minutes at all, but where areyou guys at with Cole Anthony?
Now that Porter's back, you knowGiannis can run the point, you
know Ryan Rollins can run thepoint a little bit.
Is Cole Anthony kind of slippingoff where he's just uh, I mean,
when you need him kind of guy?

SPEAKER_02 (43:32):
So, Trag, I'm with you.
The first couple weeks, I waslike, oh man, this guy's gonna
be a third point guard, a guywho can score, get to the
mid-range, stop on a dive, pullup.
Uh, I do like his creativitystill as a playmaker.
He's been pr been pretty good inthat area, I think.
Just sometimes with the sillyturnovers, dribbling off his own
foot or a defender's foot, oryou know, uh, you know, again to

(43:53):
Tyler's credit where he'sjumping and having nowhere to go
with the with the pass.
We've seen that a bunch out ofhim and Rollins as well.
But do I think that he needs tonot play at all?
No, I don't.
I do like that uh Doc kept umRollins in there uh with Kevin
Porter Jr.
having Cole Anthony, you know,as a three-man rotation just to
spell them for a few minutes, that's fine.

(44:15):
I kind of view Cole Anthony likelike a batter who's struggling
at the plate, right?
Because there's so many ups anddowns uh with the season.
Some some weeks you're not gonnabe seeing the ball well.
Just like in basketball, you'renot gonna be shooting the ball
well.
So I don't think they broughthim in as a scorer.
I think they brought him in justto be an extra ball handler
because, as you know, the Bucksstruggle with ball handling, and
Giannis got exhausted at timeslast season because he was

(44:38):
handling the ball so much.
So just having another guy thatcan handle the ball and give
Giannis a break, give Rollins, give Kevin Porter Jr.
a break from time to time, Ithink that's a good thing.
But he needs to focus a littlebit more on the shot creating
and not the shot making, Ithink, is more his role on this
team.

SPEAKER_05 (44:53):
Okay.

SPEAKER_03 (44:54):
So I looked at it kind of similar to you, Jake.
Uh, I don't necessarily think weneed to see like a significantly
reduced role for him.
Um, I just think now with KevinPorter Jr.
back, he just needs to take apage out of Gary Harris' book
and just play his role.
I feel like when Kevin PorterJr.
was out and Rollins was startingand Rollins was doing a lot,
Nicole Anthony also felt like hehad to do more and was trying to

(45:18):
do too much.
And I think that's where some ofthe turnover aspects came in,
some of the poor shootingnights, because we've seen him
have some really efficientshooting nights, but I think he
he felt like at times where thehalf-court offense wasn't as
efficient as it could be, andthen felt like he needed to take
some of that upon himself toscore instead of like
facilitating, like Jake said.
I don't want to take himcompletely out of the rotation

(45:38):
because I've brought this up acouple times on our show.
Him and Bobby Portis have areally good pick and roll
rapport.
Uh, both the when those two arerun the pick and roll, they're a
pretty good pairing.
Um, so I do like to see Cole, hehas a good change of pace.
Uh, he's got a good mid-range.
He can be a guy who collapsesthe defense by getting to the
paint.
Um, so I don't want to see hisrole entirely gone, but I do

(45:59):
think with Kevin Porter Jr.
back now, he's just gonna play alittle bit less minutes.
So I'd like to see him kind ofthrive in his role like Gary
Harris has done.

SPEAKER_04 (46:06):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I like that.
Okay, I got I got one more, yeah, not bad, but one more guy
I want to talk about in thenegative light.
And then I got a guy I want totalk positive.
So, Miles Turner, we kind of youkind of mentioned him off the
top there, Jake.
But I have the offseason signingwas like, yes, we have a you
know, this front court is gonnabe dangerous for the Bucs.
And I do agree, like on thedefensive end, I've liked what

(46:28):
I've seen out of Miles Turner.
He's been fantastic, everythingis advertised.
He was that upgrade over BrookLopez that I was looking for
defensively.
Offensively, he's left a lot forme to desire.
Now, you look over the years, the numbers have never been
super great.
But I thought him coming intoMilwaukee, I thought maybe I'd
see a little bit more, maybe anuptick of that three-point
shooting, anything like that.

(46:49):
I don't know.
I just haven't seen theoffensive output, I guess, that
I was maybe expecting.
Am I crazy to think that?
Is it is it too much to thinkthat the offensive output hasn't
been there yet?
I mean, where are you guys at, Iguess, with Miles Turner?
Is he doing enough?
Is it where are you guys at?

SPEAKER_02 (47:04):
I guess off the rip, I would say um I would give it a
little bit more time with KevinPorter Jr.
Because this offense and thisteam was constructed to have
Kevin Porter Jr.
be the lead guard.
And Kevin Porter's ability, likeI said earlier, to get downhill
and force the issue down low uhis really going to change a lot
of things, especially for a guylike Miles Turner, who likes to
sit up in that secondary breakat the top of the at the top of

(47:25):
the three-point line and justcash threes from there.
Um, couple numbers for you thatI looked into.
So the butt the bucks with himoff the floor are minus 3.1
points, and they're plus onewith him on the floor.
Now that includes the Giannislist bucks.
So take that into consideration,I would say.
Um the team shooting uh fieldgoal percentage, they shoot 43%

(47:48):
with him on the floor and 37%with him off the floor.
So I mean, a little bit uptickthere.
Um, you also go to deepdefensive rating and offensive
rating.
These are kind of nerd stats,Tyler and I really like to get
into the numbers.
Um, we're very analytical withsome of our some of our coverage
here.
Um, so our deep our defensiverating with him on the floor is
113.8.
That's actually pretty good whenyou look at the numbers.

(48:09):
Uh, our offensive rating withhim on the floor is 115.2.
So you're plus there.
You go defensive rating with himoff the floor, it goes to 116.
So you're minus three, 3.2 rightthere.
And your offensive rating withhim off the floor is down to
110.
So you're minus five points andplus three points on defense.
So that's 8.4 swing right there, just with Miles Turner, and he's

(48:30):
third on the team.

unknown (48:31):
Right.

SPEAKER_02 (48:32):
On the team is actually AJ Green, which is
actually insane.
I was like, oh my God, AJ Greenis so important to this team.
But in my opinion, I think thatMiles Turner is the second most
important shooter on this teamoutside of AJ Green because he's
going to be the one pulling thecenters away, which it doesn't
matter.
They don't call fouls forGiannis, anyways.
But Giannis still has to goagainst five people every time
he gets in the lane.

(48:53):
But if Miles Turner can startknocking down those shots at a
little bit more efficient, rightto your point, I think that
could absolutely explode thisoffense.

SPEAKER_03 (49:00):
So you mentioned him as a Brooke Lopez replacement.
Brooke Lopez averaged, what, like 11 points last year?

SPEAKER_02 (49:05):
Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (49:06):
And I'm not saying that Miles Turner should only be
looked at as averaging 11 pointsbecause he's obviously getting
paid much more than Brooke Lopezis, but he's also not going to
average 25, 5, and 5 like ChrisMiddleton just because he's the
second best player on the team,to be honest.

SPEAKER_05 (49:16):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_03 (49:17):
So I think that's that's part of an expectation
shift that people need to have.
And I think people need to lookless at the box score and watch
the games more closely and seehis impact.
Jake gave the analytical statsof the impact exactly what it
is.
But for me, the biggest impactthat Miles Turner has is that he
makes it so the Bucs can switchone through five defensively.
There's there's absolutely partsof the Nets game where uh Kevin

(49:38):
Porter Jr., uh Ryan Rollins, AJGreen, Giannis, and Turner are
on the floor together, and allfive of them interchangeably
guarded the Nets lineup.
So that that's a huge thing withhim.
And the Bucs can also play at afaster pace on both ends of the
floor by having Miles Turner.
Him coming over from Indiana, ateam that all they wanted to do
was run and run and run and runand run, bringing him to the

(49:59):
Bucs, who got significantlyyounger this offseason.
He allows them to play at thatfaster pace.
And I'm glad that Jake broughtup AJ Green because we talked
about him on our show.
We're gonna have a bunch ofclips with him and AJ Green,
those two are developing areally strong pairing together.

SPEAKER_04 (50:15):
Yeah, yeah, no, 100%.
I I agree.
You know, it's I guess it's justa desire for a little bit more
out of the guy, just because Idid expect when he came for
Brooke Lopez, maybe to see thatlittle bit of a jump, just
because if you were bringing ayounger guy, pairing him with
Giannis, maybe it's gonna allowhim to get more open shots, like
you guys are saying, becauseGiannis is gonna demand a lot
more of the attention from him.

(50:35):
So you have a guy like that.
And I do I like that pairing himup with AJ Green, two great
shooters out there, and thenKevin Porter, like you said,
coming back there, gettingdownhill, allowing him to get
open shots there for kickouts.
I mean, that that is a hugething, too.
So yeah, I it it's alwayssomething to be desired, right?
And especially when you see abigger contract, you you you you
have that desire to see a littlebit more.

(50:56):
He's doing a lot with he's doinga lot of the behind-the-scenes
stuff that a lot of people arenoticing.
So I completely agree with youguys on that one there.
So, one last thing, one lastthing.
If we just want to hit it realfast here, Kyle Kuzma, the
development of Kyle Kuzma goinginto this year.
I mean, just quick hit it on it,somebody, if you got it for me.
Kyle Kuzma, what have you likedout of him?
Because I'd love to have seenout of him this season and his

(51:16):
development defensively,offensively, everywhere in
between.

SPEAKER_03 (51:19):
I'm gonna call Dibbs on this because I've um
highlighted his role as a backuppoint guard.
I've been calling him greatvalue Giannis.
Yep, because when he comes in toreplace Giannis on the floor,
he's facilitating, he's helpingas an extra ball handler, he's
playing the driving kick role.
Uh, they're using him.
Doc Rivers deserves credit forthis, using him in a very
similar way to the Bucks usingGiannis, and it makes it so no

(51:41):
matter who is on the floor, starter or um role player, that
you can play the same way, whether it's Kuzma or Giannis on
the floor, and that makes thingseasier for the other four guys
on the court.

SPEAKER_04 (51:52):
Awesome.
That's what I was looking forright there is to hear
everything because Kyle Kuzma'sbeen fantastic.
The way that they're utilizinghim now and everything like it,
he's been great.
