What if the brightest thing in your day is actually leading you into the dark? We unpack 2 Corinthians 11:14 and explore how spiritual counterfeits dress up as “good vibes,” clever storytelling, or trendy self-help, making compromise feel like wisdom and bondage feel like freedom. I walk through the subtle ways entertainment normalizes the occult and why curiosity, without discernment, leaves us open to the oldest lie in the book.

Together, we take a calm but honest look at how deception works: it blurs lines, numbs the conscience, and rebrands danger as harmless fun. Rather than panic or pull away from culture, I invite you to anchor to God’s Word, test the spirits, and evaluate fruit over aesthetics. You’ll hear a simple four-step audit—ask, write, remove, replace—to expose hidden compromises and make practical changes that restore clarity. The goal isn’t fear; it’s freedom, a clear mind and heart that can spot the counterfeit because they’re saturated in truth.

We end with a focused prayer for sharper sight and a renewed desire to walk in the light. If you’ve sensed something “off” in your habits, media, or relationships but couldn’t name it, this conversation will give you language and next steps. Subscribe for daily biblical reflections that strengthen discernment, share this with someone who needs a nudge toward clarity, and leave a review to help more people find these short, practical devotionals.

Still Standing: Living After the Silence, the Storm, and the Shattered Heart is the powerful second book in the Standing Series. Building on the best-selling Struggle to Standing, this new release guides you through life after heartbreak with hope, healing, and faith. Now available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover.

Ready to feel inspired?
Let's get started.

(00:23):
Today is day 275, The Enemy'sDisguise.
From 2 Corinthians chapter 11,verse 14, from the New Living
Translation.
But I am not surprised.
Even Satan disguises himself asan angel of light.
We all know this.

(00:44):
Hopefully, you do.
Satan rarely shows up lookinglike the evil that he
represents.
He's a master of disguise, andhis goal is to make what's
deadly look harmless, evenappealing.
That's why we must stay alert.
The world calls witchcraft, theoccult, and spiritual deception

(01:07):
entertainment, but God callsthem evil.
The enemy loves to blur thelines so you'll lower your guard
and compromise.
What looks innocent on theoutside a lot of times leads to
spiritual bondage on the inside.
When you see darkness dressed upas light, remember this.
Satan's end game is never fun orfreedom.

(01:30):
It's always destruction.
That's why we must choosediscernment over curiosity and
stay anchored to God's word.
So what I want you to do todayis ask yourself this.
Am I letting anything into mylife that looks okay on the
surface but is actually dark atits root?

(01:53):
Write it down and get deliveredfrom it.
Remove it from your life.
Pray with me.
Father God, open my eyes to seebeyond the disguise.
Show me the areas where I'vetolerated darkness and help me
walk fully in your light.
In Jesus' precious name I pray.

(02:15):
Amen.
Well, that's all for today.
But I'll be back tomorrow withmore of God's word.
