When the world feels loud and heavy, we return to a single, anchoring line from 1 John 4:4: the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit in the world. Rick steps in for Weekends with Lauren—fresh from celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles—and guides a short, grounded meditation on belonging to God, carrying His authority, and refusing to bow to fear. This isn’t a pep talk or a slogan; it’s an invitation to reframe how you walk into ordinary spaces when pressure, cynicism, and intimidation try to set the tone.

We start with identity—“You belong to God”—and follow the implications. If the Holy Spirit dwells in you, then you are not outmatched by darkness, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. We read the verse, talk through how spiritual authority shows up in everyday life, and press into a practical rhythm: write down a simple line—“The Spirit in me is greater than the spirit in the world”—and declare it whenever anxiety or self‑doubt rises. That small practice becomes a mental anchor, helping you respond with clarity, courage, and peace where you might otherwise retreat.

To seal this truth, we pray together, thanking the Holy Spirit for His presence and asking for a steady reminder that victory in Christ is not theoretical—it’s present and personal. Along the way, you’ll hear a warm check‑in on schedule changes, credits, and how to reach us, but the center stays clear: you don’t have to back down. If you’re craving a simple, Scripture‑rooted reset you can carry into your weekend and week, this reflection is for you. If it encourages you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs courage today, and leave a review so others can find it too.
