Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everyone, welcome to Wisdom Grace.
Today I want to share a basicBible study coming from the
epistle of 1 Peter 1, verses20-21.
Now let's dig in and read 1Peter 1, verses 20-21.
Beautiful, I have my Bible hereopened.

(00:37):
It says Wow For you who, through him, believe in God, who
raised him from the dead andgave him glory, so that your
faith and hope are in God.
Beautiful, beautiful Bibleverses.

(01:03):
Now let's break these versesdown.
First of all, I want you guysto realize that these two verses
, we are reading it from thecontext of looking at Jesus and
God, their relationship.
The first point that I want tomention is Jesus was

(01:25):
foreordained.
The word foreordained, it meanschosen beforehand, selected in
advance.
So Jesus was foreordainedbefore the foundation of the
world.
Wow, so God had a plan evenbefore the creation of the world

(01:47):
.
Wow, so God had a plan evenbefore the creation of the world
and Jesus was already chosenbeforehand.
He was already selected inadvance, before the foundation
of the world, before thecreation of our universe.
The insights we can obtain fromthis is Jesus pre-existed

(02:08):
before creation.
Wow, I know we are celebratingChristmas, but we don't know
exactly when Jesus was born andthere's no scripture or
reference to tell us when Jesuswas born.
So again, I can go along withthe celebration of the birth of
Jesus Christ, just like wecelebrate people's birthday,
right.
But what I'm trying to say isthat Jesus pre-existed before

(02:33):
December 25th and Jesuspre-existed before creation.
Bible says that Jesus wasforeordained, meaning that he
was selected in advance.
He was chosen beforehand, before the foundation of the
world, before god spoke intoexistence the universe, the

(02:56):
earth and the heavens.
Jesus was chosen before end.
I want to highlight two powerful, profound truths about the
pre-existence of Jesus Christ.
Jesus pre-existed beforecreation.
Jesus pre-existed before hishuman conception Wow, before God

(03:22):
created the heavens and theearth.
Jesus pre-existed Before Jesuswas humanly conceived.
Jesus pre-existed.
This clearly shows that Jesusis eternal.
Jesus is God.
Jesus is divine.
Jesus has no beginning.

(03:42):
Jesus has no ending.
The human Jesus had nobeginning.
Jesus has no ending.
The human Jesus had a beginning, but the divine Jesus has no
beginning.
The humanity of Jesus startedand dwelt among us, but the
divine Jesus has no beginning, has no ending.
Jesus is eternal.
He is the eternal God.

(04:04):
Look what it says in John, chapter 1, verses 1 to 3.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and
the Word was God.
He was in the beginning withGod and all things were made
through Him, and without Him,nothing was made that was made.
This clearly shows that Jesuspre-existed before creation,

(04:29):
because Jesus is the agent ofcreation, he is a spoken word,
that God manifested creationinto existence.
Because the Bible says he wasin the beginning with God and
all things were made through him.
He was the channel of creation,he was the agent of creation,
he was a spoken word of creationand without him nothing was

(04:52):
made that was made.
What I'm trying to say is thatJesus was indeed before the
creation of the heavens and theearth, according to what we have
read in John, chapter 1, verses1 through 3.
And Jesus is indeed God.
Now let's go to our second point, looking at 1 Peter, chapter 1,

(05:14):
verses 20 to 21.
The second point Jesus wasmanifest.
The word manifest means caused,to be seen, make, knowing,
revealed.
Wow.
So Jesus was manifest in theselast times for our sake.

(05:35):
So Jesus has been revealedalready and Jesus is being
revealed in these last times forour sake.
Jesus is manifest, jesus isbeing seen, jesus is being known
, jesus is being revealed, jesusis being taught about, jesus is

(05:57):
being proclaimed, preachedabout.
Jesus is being revealed by theHoly Spirit to you and I in
these last times, for our ownsake, so that we'll get to know
who Jesus is.
Just like Paul said that I mayknow him.
Child of God, jesus wants toreveal himself to you.

(06:19):
Jesus wants to make himselfknown to you.
And what is eternal life?
Internal life is knowing God.
Internal life is knowing theSon of God.
If we look at it from from ahuman point of view, jesus was a
human being.
He actually existed.
He walked on this earth.
People saw him, for examplePeter, the Apostle Peter.

(06:42):
He saw Jesus, he spoke withJesus.
So we can see the humanmanifestation of Jesus.
This point speaks about thehumanity of Jesus Christ.
He physically existed.
He walked on this earth inJudea.
Look what it says in Galatians, chapter 4, verse 4, just to

(07:04):
confirm this point.
Galatians, chapter 4, verse 4,just to confirm this point.
But when the fullness of thetime had come, god sent forth
his son, born of a woman, bornunder the law.
The time when Jesus arrived onthis earth, he arrived under the
dispensation of the law, underthe old covenant, under the old

(07:25):
covenant, and he was sent forthto bring a new covenant, a
covenant of global salvation, acovenant of grace, a covenant of
reconciliation between God andman for all nations.
He was born under the wholedispensation and he was born of

(07:46):
a woman, which shows that Jesushad a supernatural spiritual
birth.
He was born of a woman, avirgin woman, with the help of
the Holy Spirit.
The first point and the secondpoint is all about the Son,
jesus.
The first point talks about thedivinity of Jesus.
He pre-existed before creation,he pre-existed before his human

(08:12):
conception, and the secondpoint focuses on the humanity of
Jesus.
So both the first point and thesecond point is all about Jesus
.
Now the third point and thelast point is about God the
Father, what he has done forJesus.
Look what it says.

(08:32):
The third point God raised him, that's Jesus from the dead.
That is Jesus' resurrection.
Who made it possible for Jesusto be alive humanly speaking?
Who made it possible for Jesusto be alive humanly speaking?
Who made it possible for Jesusto come back to life after his

(08:55):
death on the cross?
God the Father.
The Bible says God the Fatherraised Jesus, his son, from the
dead.
Look what it says in Acts, chapter 2, verse 24.
Whom God raised up, havingloosed the pains of death
because it was not possible thatit should be held by it.

(09:18):
Oh my God, it is not possiblefor death to hold Jesus Christ.
It is not possible for death tohold the bread of life.
It is not possible for death tohold the fountain of life.
It is not possible for death tohold the life giver.
It is not possible.

(09:39):
Death cannot hold life becauselife is more powerful than death
.
So when Jesus died on the cross, god the Father raised up his
son from the dead, and Acts 2,chapter 24, just confirmed such
revelation of God the Fathergetting involved in the

(10:00):
resurrection of Jesus Christ Atthe pains of death.
That death could not hold Jesus, that the pains of death, that
death could not hold Jesus.
That is why, because you and Iwill believe in Jesus Christ,
death does not have the finalsay on us.
Death has no final say on thosewho believe in Jesus and death

(10:27):
cannot hold you down.
Paul says that to die is gain,to live is gain.
When you are alive, it's gainbecause you are alive in Jesus.
When you die, it is also gain.
So when you leave, when you die, it's gain.
It's a win-win situation foryou, because when you live, you
live for Jesus Christ.
When you die, you're going tobe with Jesus Christ.
And our last point, to close upGod gave him, that is his son,

(10:52):
jesus, glory.
Wow, wow, wow, wow.
We see the involvement of God,the Father, in the life of his
son, jesus Christ.
We see that God raised him upfrom the dead.
And now we see that Godbestowed glory upon Jesus, glory

(11:17):
upon Jesus, glory upon his son.
Look what it says in Acts, chapter 2, verse 33, just to
confirm.
Therefore, being exalted to theright hand of God, and having
received from the father thepromise of the Holy Spirit, he
poured out this, which you nowsee and hear oh my God.

(11:40):
Therefore, being exalted to theright end of god, and having
received from the father thepromise of the holy spirit, we
see that god gave jesus christglory.
God bestowed upon jesus majesty, a glory and honor and power
and wisdom and splendor.

(12:02):
To summarize our basic Biblestudy from the letter of 1 Peter
1, verses 20 to 21, we see thatJesus was ordained before the
foundation of the world, meaningthat Jesus Christ preexisted
before creation, before hishuman conception.

(12:22):
The second point we see thatJesus Christ pre-existed before
creation, before his humanconception.
The second point we see thatJesus was manifest speaks about
the humanity of Jesus.
And finally, the last twopoints speak about God's
relationship with Jesus, whatGod the Father did or
accomplished for Jesus.
Father did or accomplished forJesus.

(12:42):
Number one, he raised Jesusfrom the dead.
And number two, god gave Jesusglory.
Child of God.
I just pray right now, what youhave heard from me today, that

(13:03):
God will give you more deeperinsight, inspiration,
instruction based on what youhave heard, and that you will go
out.
You will leave this word, youwill believe the truth about who
Jesus is, that Jesus is divine, jesus is also human, that Jesus
is full of glory, that Jesus isalive and death cannot hold you
as a child of God, and I praythat you will receive this

(13:23):
revelation, you will believethis revelation, you will share
this revelation.
God bless you.
