THE IDENTITY OF SONSHIP
Some of us didn’t grow up with fathers, while others had fathers who were present but absent. As a result, relating to God as Father can feel unfamiliar or challenging. However, even if human fathers were absent or failed in their roles, it's still possible to establish a meaningful fatherly relationship with God as your heavenly Father.

and then God was saying that inthis dream, my mom and I was

They were arguing and theypushed me aside and I was crying

It's like they were arguing.
My dad was like I don't want.
I don't want you, I don't wantthe baby.
My mom got kicked out of thehouse.
It's actually a real like.
My mom actually told me thisstory in real life, but I saw it
in my dream.
That's how strange it was.
In real life it happened.
(29:35):
My mom got kicked out.
She didn't want me.
My grandfather you know Africanparents are very strict.
My mom was young.
My grandfather was like oh no,no, no, it was my grandmother
who secretly took me in, raisedme from the village.
See me, I'm a village boy.
I came from the village, avillage called Nikabu.
I was not from the city.
I never imagined that I wouldbe in Canada.
(29:57):
I came from a remote when I sayvery remote village, remote
village.
I didn't wear any pants, I wasjust butt naked, no slippers,
running around like a madmanVillage boy.
And then, when I saw that dream, I was crying.
My cry was calling my mom andmy dad hey guys, be at peace,

don't abandon me.
Children, parents, please, I'mbegging you.
I'm not just preaching for thesake of preaching.
Whatever you do, husband andwife, in front of your children,
mom and dad, it's a seed thatyou're planting in their hearts.
If you're rejecting them,they're going to feel that
(30:41):
rejection.
If there's hatred in the home,they're going to feel hatred.
If there's love in the home,they're gonna feel hatred.
If there's love in the home,they're gonna feel love.
That is just the fact of lifeand that's when god started
healing me because of time.
So one of the hours is thisrelationship and the other one
is role.
This is where now we at times.
(31:04):
Our role is this we arechildren and we need to behave
as children.
Look what Jesus says in 1 John,chapter 2, verse 28.
And now little children abidein him.
So Jesus actually called youand I little children.
So with God there is noseniority.
It doesn't matter, you canstand before God.
God, I'm the elder, god, I'm a69 years old man.

You can talk to me anyhow.
It.
God, I'm the elder, god, I'm a69 years old man, can't talk to
me anyhow, it's a lie.
God can talk to you anyhow, youare a little child.
To god.
He says my little childrenabide in me.
And then, in mark, jesus alsocalled his disciples children.
How hard is it for those whotrust in riches to enter the

kingdom of god?
And then in 1 John, chapter 2,verse 28, look what it says, and
now the children abide in himthat when he appears we may have
confidence and not a shamebefore him as he comes.
So that word little children,little children, we like
children to God.
You see, when you come to God,come to God as a child.

A child is humble.
A child is dependent.
A child is dependent.
A child is trustworthy.
A child is innocent.
A child is willing to learn.
We adults it's very hard to asadvice to young people who want
to get married don't expect tochange your spouse.
They are growing old adultsrefusing to to change.
(32:31):
They're resistant to change.
It's very hard to change yourspouse, so make sure you pray to
god.
Give me somebody who's alreadychanged.
Ah, I don't know.
I don't think you guys make god.
God, give me someone who isalready changed.
Men or women, especially women.
If you're planning to changeyour husband, like, it's not
going to work.
Men or women, especially women.

If you're planning to changeyour husband, la la, it's not

After 30 years of bad habits,you expect God to come and say,
oh, I will marry him, he willchange, he will become a
believer.
Are you God?
Are you mad?
He wants to die.
He won't die in this church.

No, don't try that, don't trythat.
So we are children of God,that's our role and I want you
(33:14):
to see yourself as a child ofGod.
See yourself as that, not aresponsibility.
That is why at times, it's veryhard for us to reflect God,
because we don't work in His wayand sons and daughters carry
their parents' lineage.
Son and a daughter continuestheir parents' nature and name.
(33:36):
A son and a daughter continuetheir parents' nature and name.
Nature in a sense that whateveryour father and mother is, you
will carry it because that bloodis still in you.
That is why we have familyaltars.
This helped me to understandfamily altars.
(33:58):
So whenever I'm fighting familyaltars, I'm replacing the blood
of my physical family with mynew family, the blood of Jesus.
When you know the truth, thetruth will set you free.
It is our responsibility aschildren of God to obey the word
(34:19):
of the Father.
I'll just read one scripturebecause of time Proverbs,
chapter 1, verse 8,.
It says my son, hear theinstruction of your father and
do not forsake the love of yourmother.
When you read the entire bookof Proverbs, that phrase my son,
my son father is givinginstruction to his son, my son.
Oh, listen to my word, my son,pursue wisdom, my son, pursue
understanding.
Is God actually saying that?
(34:41):
If you're going to be my son,pursue understanding.
So, young people, if you'regoing to claim to be a child of
God, your responsibility is tolearn.
Next time when you come tochurch, bring your back, bring
your pen, bring your pencil andtake notes.
Learn about your God, learnabout your father.
Another, another responsibilityfrom us is worship the father.
(35:03):
Worship the father.
According to um, luke, chapter4 verse.
It says and Jesus answered andsaid to him get behind me, satan
, for it is written, you shallworship the Lord, your God, and
him only you shall serve.
And then, in Exodus, chapter 4,verse 22 to 23, says then you
shall say to Pharaoh, thou saysthe Lord, israel is my son.
(35:23):
Again, god is saying thatIsrael is my son, my firstborn.
So I say to you let my son gothat he may serve me.
So you are a son with aresponsibility to serve God.
You are a son with aresponsibility to worship God.
Another responsibility of beinga son or a daughter is you are.
(35:44):
It's your responsibility to dothe will of your father.
According to Jesus himself,matthew, chapter 12, verse 47 to
50 says.
Then one said to look to him,look your mother and your
brothers and and are standingoutside seeking to speak to you.
But he answered and said to theone who told him who is my
mother jesus was not trying torelate with people on a physical
(36:05):
level.
They always want to make jesuschrist.
Oh jesus, you have physicalmother, you have physical
brother.
Jesus put them straight.
He said I will tell you, guyswho my mother is, who my father
is, who's who my brother is.
It's not Mary.
That you see.
It's not just that.
You see.
He was thinking ahead of time.
He said I'm about my father'sbusiness.
At the age of 12 he said I'mabout my father's business.
(36:27):
But the man has a father.
Young boy has a father, adoptedfather Joseph.
Why is he saying that about myfather's business?
Speaker 2 (36:34):
they couldn't understand so jesus said, he
looked around, he said okay, whois my mother, who is my brother
?
Speaker 1 (36:41):
and he stretched out his hand toward his disciples
and said here are my mother,here are my brothers, for
whoever does the will of myfather in heaven is my brother
and sister.
Amen.
And lastly, you are a child ofgod when you walk like your
father.
When you walk like your fatherlook what it says in first john,
(37:04):
chapter 3, verse 10.
In this, children of god and thechildren of the devil are
manifested.
This is how you know if you'rea son of god, if you're a son of
the devil by your fruit.
Look what it says whoever doesnot practice righteousness is
not of god.
So if you're going to claimthat god is your father, you
have to reflect god in your walk, in your lifestyle, in your way
(37:24):
, in righteousness in wisdom, inlove and kindness.
And then now look what it says eEphesians, chapter 5, verse 22.
Therefore, be imitators of Godas their children and walk in
love.
We have to imitate.
We have to be imitators of Godas their children.
(37:46):
So if God is our father and weare God's children is saying you
have to imitate me, that isyour responsibility to imitate
god.
Amen.
And then your rights.
Your right, that is the lasthour.
Your rights, jesus said in john, chapter 1, verse 12 but as
many has received him to, dareme, give the right to become
(38:08):
children of god to those whobelieve in him.
So what right do you carry as achild of god?
You carry the right to have thename of jesus.
You carry the right to use thename of jesus wow, do you know
how powerful that name is?
You carry the name of yourfather.
(38:30):
Jesus said when you're praying,start with this Abba, father,
and in my name.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
So that's the right that you have.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
You carry the name of your father.
It brings access and it bringsblessing.
Look at the blessing in 1 John2, verse 12 to 14.
Dear, I write to you, littlechildren, because your sins have
forgiven you for his name'ssake.
Wow, these are stages ofspiritual maturity.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Verse 13.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
I write to you, fathers, because you have known
him, who is from the beginningWow.
And I write to you, young men,young women, because you have
overcome the wicked one.
Continues in verse 14.
I write to you, little children, again, because you have known
the father they said I have.
I have written to you, fathers,because you have known him, who
(39:20):
is from the beginning.
And I've written to you, youngman, because you are strong and
the word of God abides in you.
If you look at that particularverse in verse 14, it's all
about knowing God.
It's all about knowing God.
So you cannot claim that God isyour father and you have no
clue about this God that youclaim to be your father.
You have to pursue knowledgeabout God.
(39:42):
And finally, 2nd Corinthians,chapter 13, verse 14, it says
the grace of the Lord JesusChrist, and the love of God and
the communion of the Holy Spiritbe with you all, amen.

We read this verse.

But do you know that this is the foundation of
relationship?
This is the foundation ofrelationship.
Let me explain to you.
I'll break them down into howGod wants it to be.
Number one, number one Love,love, love.
(40:22):
If there's no love in anyfamily, that family is going to
be dysfunctional.
Love is the foundation, love isthe motivation.
The Bible says in John 3, 16,for God, so loved, so attribute
love from the Father.
And the Father, by mydefinition previously, is a
(40:45):
source, a beginner, an initiator.
So we're seeing that Godinitiated this family from the
motivation, the intention oflove.
So every family, including thefamily of God and in your own
family, make sure you build onlove.
Look what it says in Malachi,chapter 4, verse 6.
(41:05):
And he will turn the hearts ofthe father to the children.
Love is the heart of the family.
If God didn't have love for youand I, god will not sacrifice
jesus.
If god didn't have love for you,god will not sacrifice jesus so
love has to be the foundationin any family.
(41:26):
Learn this principle and applyit in your own family.
Make sure love reigns in yourfamily.
Number two grace, grace.
Because there are no perfectmembers in that family.
Your husband is not perfect,your wife is not perfect, your
children are not perfect.
What do you need to do everyday?
(41:47):
Extend grace.
Love is the foundation andJesus, the Bible said, is the
fullness of grace.
Oh my god.
What defines god as a father islove.
What defines jesus as the sonis grace.
The father gave us love.
He said these children?
(42:07):
They're rebellious, they'rerebellious, but the senate
center, papa, I'm grace.
Now look at me, I am Grace.
Extend Grace to your children.
Extend Grace to your children.
Extend Grace, love, grace, lovefrom the father, grace from the
son.
Now, all of them have a rule.
Oh God, oh God, holy Spirit.
That was not enough.
(42:28):
Love, grace.
Now look what it says.
And the communion of the HolySpirit be with you all.
That is the connection, that isthe fellowship.
You know, what Jesus said isdidn't want you just to go.
It's not very selfish it's aJesus, stay with us.
But just said, are you mad?
(42:49):
It's better for me to go.
So I will send a helper, I willsend a power clay, because when
he comes he will oh my God, hewill live in you.
He will tell you about me, hewill tell you about your father,
he will help you to relate withyour father.
The reason why you and I wereable to relate with God is
because of the communion of theHoly Spirit.
(43:10):
All of them had a role to play.
So in every family, learn thisprinciple love grace and
fellowship.
Love grace and fellowship.
