SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Why Jesus came, I cannot wait for that.
According to the prophet Isaiahin the Old Testament, the Old
Testament revealed the purposeof Jesus.
And Jesus was able to discoverhis purpose when he read the
book of Isaiah.
You see how powerful that is?
So the secret for you todiscover your purpose in life,

(00:22):
it's from the word of God.
You can know who you are fromthe word of God, and you can
know what God has called youfrom his word.
You don't have to look atself-help materials.
You don't have to ask yourteacher who you are and what you
have been called to do.
You don't even have to ask yourparents because your parents,
they're not God.
Just as the woman of God saidthat you are spiritually formed

(00:45):
before you are physicallyformed.
So let's get your Bible toIsaiah 61, verse 1 to 3.
So this is the Old Testamentreference of Jesus' purpose.
Amen.
I'm gonna read the New Testamentas our reference, scriptural
reference.
That is coming from Luke chapter4, verses 4 to verses 17 to 19.

(01:08):
It says, and he was handed thebook of the prophet Isaiah.
Wow.
Jesus was handed the book ofprophet Isaiah, the book that
the young lady has just read.
Can you imagine?
Jesus had access to the Bible.

(01:29):
So I pity you and I, asbelievers, we don't carry our
Bible.
The reason why you perish is notbecause you don't pray.
The reason why you perish is notbecause you don't come to
church.
You perish as a result of what?
Lack of knowledge.
Even Jesus, our Savior, hadaccess to this book.

(01:51):
This Bible, treasure for life.
This Bible, you can discovereverything in life.
Any topic, relationship, school, business, it's in this book.
Amen.
So Jesus was handed the book ofthe prophet Isaiah.
And when he had opened the book, wow, he had opened the book.

(02:13):
The thing that baffles my mind,he was so precise to know
exactly the scriptural verse.
Can you imagine?
You have to be God to knowexactly that this verse is
speaking of you, to know exactlythat this is your time.
You have to be God.

(02:36):
He found the place where it waswritten.
He found, he found a place whereit was written about himself.
How can you find a place whereit is written about yourself?

(02:57):
As much as I'm talking aboutJesus, I want you to also learn
from him how you can identifyyour purpose so that we can take
this and apply it in our ownindividual lives.
Look what it says.

(03:42):
Look what it says at the endafter he read all of this.
Today he was speaking at thatreal time.
He said, Guys, today, today, this scripture, this verse that
I'm reading, wow is fulfilled inyour hearing.

(04:06):
When you come to church, don'tbe familiar.
It doesn't matter who's here,who's not here.
When you come to church, letyour focus and your heart be
ready to hear from God.
That is why at times we misswhat God is saying.
Because we want a prophet totouch us, we want to fall under
the anointing.
We want a prophet to call you.
Hey, Auntie Paula, my sister, come here.

(04:29):
Let me prophesy into your life.
That's the only way you willknow that God has spoken to you.
But God is speaking through thepreaching, through the teaching.
I remember I went to a churchjust to give you guys a
practical illustration.
I'm like, God, I want to hearyou.
I was going through a lot.
We all go through some things inlife.
God, I'm going through a lot.
I want, I want that rhym.

(04:49):
I want that specific word fromyou, God.
You know, I don't want to justread any scripture.
I want to find a place in thescripture that concerns my
situation.
So I was expecting for theprophet to call to call me up.
Oh, Brian Crumb.
This is what God is saying aboutyour situation.
Lala, it didn't happen.

(05:10):
I was sitting down there, theprophet did not call my name at
all.
Say, ah, God, you didn't speakto me.
But but the Holy Spiritwhispered in my earlier I was
speaking to you while my servantwas preaching.
I was speaking to you while myservant was preaching.

(05:32):
But you have a way of hearing myvoice.
You want somebody to call you upto tell you about your past, to
tell you about deep things aboutyour life.
It didn't happen.
And then if you realize that Ididn't speak to you, I spoke to
you.
You were not paying attention towhat I was saying to you.
So I pleaded with everybody, believe in me.

(05:53):
Embrace the scripture.
God has left us with a Bible.
That is why I love this book.
My entire life I dedicatedmyself to study the scripture.
And this book has saved me fromso many errors.
Embrace this book.
Let me continue to read.
He says, Today this scripture isfulfilled in your hearing.
Before we get to all the thingsthat Jesus was doing, I want us

(06:19):
to identify the role of Jesus interms of like it's his titles.
Most times we're familiar thatJesus is the rabbi, he's a
teacher, is his chief shepherd, the master physician, the law,
the prophet.
That is his role as entitled.
That is his role.
He's a prophet, he's a teacher,he's the Lord.

(06:40):
But we want to know hisresponsibilities.
We want to know hisresponsibilities.
And when you read the entiregospel, John, Matthew, Luke, and
Mark, we see all this.
I believe there are sevenfunctions of Jesus.
If Jesus is not preaching, theman is teaching.
If Jesus is not teaching, theman is healing.

(07:02):
If Jesus is not healing, the manis casting out demons.
If Jesus is not casting demons, his discipling is the disciples.
If Jesus is not doing that, he'sleading.
At times, he's feeding as well.
So these are all theresponsibility of ministry.
If you look at it, these are allthe responsibility of us as
church to do what?
To teach, to preach, to heal, tocast, to feed, to disciple, to

(07:30):
heal, to do all this amazingthing.
Jesus said, greater works youcan do for us.
It's the reason why we don'tknow our purpose because we
don't know the purpose of Jesus.
That is why we are lost.
You need to know who your makeris so that you can reflect your
maker.
Look at the context in whichthis this um when Jesus opened

(07:50):
the book of Isaiah.
It's kind of strange becausewhen I read this book, the
people of Nazareth where Jesusis from.
Oh God.
The Bible says, so he came toNazareth where he had been
brought up.
Yes.
Jesus was brought up inNazareth.

(08:11):
Okay.
And as the custom, he went tothe synagogue on the Sabbath day
and stood up to read.
Jesus not only had the Bible,Jesus went to church.
Jesus not only had the Bible,Jesus went to church as the
custom of the day.

(08:31):
Jesus as a man went to church.
Jesus as a man had access to theBible.
So I pity us as believers whenwe fail to come to church and we
only come to church because wewant something from God.
Yes, God can give you whateverit is that you want.

(08:52):
But are you coming to churchbecause you want something from
God?
Or are you coming to churchbecause you want a relationship
with God?
When you desire a relationshipwith God, you will stay in that
church because you're not comingfor what God can do for you.
You're not coming to pick awoman, you're not coming to pick
a man, you're not coming foranything else.
You're coming for God.
And no matter the challengesthat you are facing, you will

(09:13):
stay, you will remain becauseyou are in love with God.
And the reason why you willbounce out is because you don't
love God.
That is why a guy will come intoyour life, sisters, and say, I
love you.
That love, you cannot just meetsomebody and love them today.
That's lost.
You're falling in love and thenyou fall out of love.

(09:34):
True love remains.
God wants true love.
So Jesus, as the custom of theday, went to church.
And that opportunity came forhim to know his purpose.
As she came to church each andevery day, when okay, do you

(09:54):
know the concept of churchstarted way back with Adam and
Eve?
When the Bible said God willcome in the call of the day to
interact with them.
And then God asked Moses, builda temporary tabernacle so that I
can meet my people.
It's called a tabernacle ofmeetings so that God can meet
his people.
So the concept of gathering, ofassembling, we can get it all

(10:14):
the way back to the OldTestament.
So it's good to come to churchbecause when you come to church,
this is the place where you canfeel God, where you can sense
God.
When you go home, you feel sorelieved.
I don't know about you, but whenI come to church, when I go
home, all the burdens that I'vecarried throughout the week,
they're all lifted up.
You have to come to church withthe with the right attitude.

(10:37):
The Bible says the spirit of theLord was upon him.
In order for you to do anythingfor God, you need the Spirit of
God.
If you want to do anything forGod, because the things of God
they are spiritual.
If you want to sing for God as achoir worshiper, you need the

(11:00):
Holy Spirit.
If you want to preach for God,you need the Holy Spirit.
Even Jesus Himself, being theSon of God, the Bible says the
Spirit of God was upon him.
If you read the entire OldTestament, whenever you hear
that phrase, the Spirit of Godupon somebody, they always do
something very significant andsomething very supernatural.

(11:21):
When you have the Spirit of God,you're not average.
Ah God.
When you have the Spirit of God,you produce results.
When you have the Spirit of Godupon you, you make impact.
When you have the Spirit of God,you change life.
When you have the Spirit of God,you make a difference.
So for Jesus to make thedifference, for Jesus to execute

(11:42):
all of this responsibility, theBible started with what?
The Spirit of God was upon him.

unknown (11:48):
Wow.

SPEAKER_00 (11:49):
What's up on him before God sent him to heal?
You cannot heal if you don'thave the Holy Spirit.
You cannot preach, you cannotfeed, you cannot do anything for
God if you don't have the HolySpirit.
It's a person, it's not justpower, it's a person that lives

(12:10):
in you.
He lives in you to direct you,he lives in you to empower you,
he lives in you to enable you,he lives in you to equip you.
And Jesus had the Holy Spirit.
And that word anointed, it meansthat in the Old Testament, when

(12:32):
you are chosen for a position ofinfluence, it could be to be a
priest, a king, or a prophet.
Those are the three offices thattend to be anointed: kings,
prophets, and priests.
And Jesus was all of that.
He was he is the king of kings, the priest, and he's the
prophet.
So he was anointed.

(12:55):
He was anointed.
Meaning that God approved whathe was gonna do.
God approved Jesus.
But now look.
God the father sent God the Son.

(13:18):
Look at the entire package ofour salvation, how it happened.
God the Father started this.
The Bible said, For God so lovedthe world that he gave.
So God the Father sent his sonbecause of the love that he has
for you.
Okay, that's what he did tofulfill his purpose.
And then after that, now God theSpirit needs to empower God the

(13:45):
Son to fulfill God the Father'spurpose.
What am I saying?
Okay, the vision came from Godthe Father.
My son, ah, these human beings, they are they are crazy.
They are wicked, they are fullof deceit.
They are they are they are theyare full of bitterness and

(14:06):
anger?
I don't want to destroy them inhell.
I don't want them.
I don't want them to.
I created them.
I don't want to send them inhell.
What am I gonna do?
No matter how many sacrificescannot please me.
I'm tired of all these bulls,I'm tired of all this blood
sacrifice.
I'm tired.

(14:26):
Who am I gonna send?
Who is holy?
Who is sinless?
Who is gonna die for thiswretched man Brahim?
Who is gonna die for this lyingman Brahim?
Who's gonna die for you?
Who is gonna die?
And it and then the son said,Daddy, you know what?

(14:48):
No, my will, but let you will bedone.
He said, Daddy, I know you lovepeople so much.
I want to please you, Daddy.
I am I'm sinless.
I don't mind to come down andand pay the price for for for
these people, and then okay, myson, go go.

(15:11):
But my son, before you go,you're gonna need help because
you're not gonna go as God,you're gonna go as a man.
But for you to do my work, youneed what my spirit to go with
you.
So for Jesus to do the work ofGod, he needed the Holy Spirit.

(15:33):
He started off his ministry whenhe was baptized, and the Bible
said the heavens was opened, andGod said, This is my beloved
son, in one more please.
And then the Spirit of God satupon his shoulder like a dove.
Do you know why Jesus was sayingthat it's good for me to go?
Because they wanted to make himto stay.
He said, No, I gotta go.
He said, When I go, I'm gonnasend the helper.

(15:55):
I want all of you guys to meetin the upper room.
That day changed Christianityforever.
So you know, you see therelevance.
Why am I saying this?
You see the essence of the HolySpirit for everything for you to
live this Christian life.
My brother, my sister, mymothers, my fathers, you need

(16:15):
the Holy Spirit.
The Bible describes him as yourparaclee, your helper.
Even Jesus relied on the HolySpirit.
Who are you trying to use yourhuman wisdom to do the work of
God?
Satan will slap you left andright.
I remember one of my friends atYork University, he was going

(16:38):
through challenges.
I was just a young believertrying to act as if I'm TD
Jakes, you know, innocent, stupid, you know.
I said, My brother, come down, kneel down, let me pray for you.
We prayed for him.
I went to bed at night.
Bulls were chasing me.
Oh, I was about to lose my life.

(16:59):
I called my pastor.
I said, Pastor, I had thisdream.
Bulls were chasing me fromNigeria.
He said, What do you do?
I said, Daddy, my friend isstruggling in school, and I
prayed for him.
I would just act him by faith.
He said, My son, I don't go toplaces where you have not been
anointed since that day.

(17:20):
Don't try it.
Why am I saying this?
You need the Holy Spirit totackle certain issues in life,
or else you die young becauseSatan doesn't play around.
You know, when you preach, whenyou teach, when you heal, Satan
doesn't like that.
Oh God, Satan doesn't like that,he's your enemy, so that's why

(17:44):
you need the Holy Spirit toguide you, to protect you.
Amen.
Let's continue.
So the first thing that Ilearned about Jesus' mission
involves to preach, to preachthe gospel to the poor.
Jesus was assigned by God topreach, meaning that to
proclaim, to tell us about thegood news.

(18:05):
What is the gospel?
We all know as Bible believers, the gospel is the good news.
What makes it the good news?
Anybody knows what makes thegospel the good news?
Have you ever asked yourself whythe gospel is the good news?
Yes, Paula.
Why why trumps down the badnews?

(18:26):
So Jesus came to preach goodnews, and that good news.
Oh my god, that good news ispreached to the poor.
Now you might wonder, but God,what about the rich?
That is where you have to be aBible student.
The poor here is not just thosewho don't have money, those who

(18:46):
don't have material possessions,right?
The poor here is that anyone whois poor in the spirit, we are
all poor in the spirit.
It doesn't matter if you're richor poor, you are poor in the
spirit, and you need the gospelto be preached to you.
You need the gospel to bepreached to you.

(19:10):
This good news of salvation, this good news of internal life,
this good news of you being partof God's divine family, this
good news of when you when youwhen you die, there's a place
for you in heaven.
Wow.
When you die, there's a placefor you in heaven.
So proclaiming the gospel, thegood news is proclaiming the

(19:32):
truth of Jesus Christ.
Another reason why Jesus Christcame is to heal the
brokenhearted.
How many of you have experiencedbroken hearts?
All the ladies, you should.
I know you guys have dated.
I've experienced broken hearts.
I've broken hearts too.
I'm not gonna lie.

(20:23):
Emotional pain is severe thanphysical pain.
Physical pain, you can feel it,you can cry, mommy, mommy, and
then you put on bandage and thenyou're healed.
But emotional pain can last youfor forever.
I'm telling you.
Emotional pain could be somebodybreaks your heart, or you or you

(20:44):
lost your father, your mom, or abusiness deal.
I'm here to tell you that Jesuscan heal your broken heart, your
heart that has been shattered, your heart that has been
oppressed.
I'm here to let you know thatJesus can heal your broken
heart.

(21:06):
Then what Jesus can also do foryou.
Wow, this is amazing.
To proclaim liberty to thecaptives.
We are all prisoners.
How many of you are strugglingwith an addiction?
How many of you are strugglingwith drinking?
Any form of addiction?

(21:26):
I don't know what your addictionis.
When you struggle with somethingfor so long that you're not able
to get out of it, you havefasted, you have prayed, you
have you have you have gone toevery man of God to seek
solution?
You are in captivity.

(21:48):
So Jesus can give you real lifesolutions for real life
problems.
This blesses my heart.
Are you in captivity of sin?
Are you in captivity of lying?
Are you in captivity of your ownmental health?

(22:10):
That is the world that we livein.
Some people they're notcomfortable with themselves.
Some people they're notcomfortable with who they are.
That is captivity.
Are you in captivityspiritually?
When you go to bed, you cannotsleep.
When I go to bed, I can't sleep.
I've been struggling, sleeping.

(22:34):
Serious matter.
I've been struggling.
Again, I'm I have to be realwith you guys.
I have my own.
You struggle too, bro?
I'm telling you.
I'm here to be honest with youguys.
I don't sleep.
I don't know why I don't sleep.
When I go to bed, when I go tobed, everything everything is
okay.
Everything is okay.

(22:55):
But when I go to bed, when I tryto close my eye, this mind takes
me to a place that I don't wantto go.
I'm telling you, I'm beinghonest with you.
That is my own captivity.
This mind will bring issues fromSierra Leone.

(23:19):
Will bring issues from I'm like, shut down.
I'm like, I'm like, I will playloud music.
What I sometimes what I do, I'llplay loud music just to just to
distract my mind.
Sometimes I'll play all thisinstrumental music so that I can
put myself to sleep like a baby.
I'm telling you, that is my owncaptivity.
I'm like, God, why is that I'mnot able to sleep?

(23:40):
During the day, I'm okay.
During the day, my mind is free.
But when I get to bed, anxietycomes in.
Fear of failure, fear of thefuture.
I said, God, why is thishappening?
Why am I not able to sleep?
And I have to get up early to goto work.

(24:02):
And guess what?
I'll end up sleeping at work.
I will close the door.
I'm like, you know what?
You have to knock.
And then I will sleep for onegood three hours at work.
I'm being honest with you guys.
This is my own captivity.
I'm not able to sleep at night.
But reading this shows thatJesus has come to proclaim, to

(24:24):
announce freedom to those whoare in captivity.
Amen.
Another thing that Jesus can dofor you and I is this to provide
recovery of sight to the blind.
This is powerful.
Because when I was looking atthat, it doesn't mean that okay,
Jesus came to heal those whowere blind.
That's one.
Jesus came to heal you if you'rephysically blind because the

(24:47):
Bible is very symbolic, theBible is very spiritual, right?
So Jesus came to heal those whowere blind.
But do you know that you can bementally blind, you can be
spiritually blind.
When you are blind, you're notable to make decisions
effectively.
When you are blind, you don'tknow your left and your right.

(25:10):
Young people, I plead with you, don't be blind mentally, don't
be blind spiritually, because atthat age, where you have to make
major decisions that will affectyour future for good, just as
our sister has said.

(25:30):
This is not a joke.
This is not a joke.
I made a decision when I was inhigh school.
I lost my life almost, almost, almost because of my own
stupidity.
Follow friends that will notlead me anywhere.
God brought good people into mylife.
Church people.
I was trying to act cool.

(25:50):
I don't go to church.
No heel song.
I feel ashamed of my Christianfriends.
One day they had a fight, andthis white dude took a bottle.
Like a bottle, broke the bottle.
He wanted to break my head.
Luckily, one of my high schoolfriends, his name is Paul.
He's a preacher now.
He's a preacher now.

(26:11):
Paul is a preacher now.
Paul.
Paul.
I think me and him were lastspoke in 2020.
Because he's on my Facebook.
Like, I see you preaching.
I see you preaching.
I see God is using you.
I'm like, Paul, like, I don'tknow.
You saved my life, man.

(26:34):
You saved my life.
God used you to save my life.
Paul saw the guy was trying tobreak my head.
Paul stopped that guy frombreaking my head.
And this is the same Paul who isin my life, who is still a
friend, and he is a man of God.

(26:54):
As she was saying, your path canlead you to your purpose.
God used this young man to savemy life because me and this
young man we have a similar pathto be men of God.
And Paul is still a man of God.
But this God used this young manto save my life.
I made a stupid decision.

(27:17):
But God will always bring peopleto protect you.
That is why in Romans chapter 8,verse 28, I believe it says, God
will cause all things, allthings, even your own
foolishness, to work together tothose who love him.
Number one, you love him and youare called according to his
purpose.
Amen.
So I am pleading with all of usdon't allow yourself to be blind

(27:40):
spiritually.
Don't allow yourself to be blindmentally.
Especially some of us who arehere in Canada.
We don't want to go back toschool.
We want to jump from one PSW toanother.
We want to jump from one factoryto another, especially if you're
a young person.
Natan, I salute you, brother.
I salute this young man.

(28:02):
He is he is serving God, he's aworshiper, and he's a hair
stylist.
I'm telling you, this guy isgifted.
When I saw your work, I'm like,wow.
But when you see this manworshiping God, I said, Is this
man my worshiper?

(28:22):
I said, No way.
I said, This man is loaded.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
You don't know what God has putin this man, you don't know what
God has put in you.
Don't underestimate the peoplehere in Opera Room Ministry.
Don't underestimate.
Some of them are gonna besuperstars, some of them are

(28:42):
gonna play for Canada nationalfootball team.
We have our Cristiano Ronaldo,we have our own messy from
Uganda.
He knows who I'm talking about.
We have our own, we have tocelebrate each other.

(29:03):
Amen.
To set at liberty those whooppress.
Are you oppressed?
You see, sometimes when we talkabout oppression, we think it's
all about oh, somebody has tostab you, somebody has to beat
you up, somebody has to like umput a gun on your face.
No, you can be oppressedmentally.
Ah, that's the worst oppression.

(29:24):
When you're oppressed mentally, that's worse than physical
oppression.
Do you see when God took thechildren of Israel out of Egypt
from that physical oppression?
Oh God, but they were stilloppressed mentally.
You see, God can save you.
But if you don't allow God tosave your mind, that is why the

(29:45):
Bible said, do not be conformedto this world, but be
transformed by the renewal ofyour mind.
The hardest thing to change aman is his mind.
If you can change the mind of aman, you can change that man.
You can move.
A poor man from Uganda bringthat poor man to Canada saying
that this is the land of milkand money.
If that poor man still haspoverty mindset, no matter, no

(30:12):
matter what you're I'm tellingyou, no matter the positions or
the opportunities you give thatpoor man, believe in me.
See, success is not a result,it's an ability.
That is why rich people they canlose money, they can make money.
A poor person can lose money, they will never be able to make

(30:35):
it again.
Jesus has come to set you free.
But that freedom can also bespiritual.
Are you under spiritualoppression?
Especially us as Africans.
When you go to bed at night, yousee yourself back home.
That is not a good dream.

(30:55):
I'll find time to teach you guysabout dreams interpretation.
You see yourself, somebody'sshooting you for no reason,
someone is chasing after you.
You see snakes, you see cows, you see people calling your
name.
That is spiritual oppressionthat Jesus has come to set you

(31:19):
free from.
To set you free from your ownmindset.
That is the hardest thing aboutfreedom.
We are not able to save ourmind.
When you go cuckoo, you gocuckoo.
I'm telling you this.
I work in social housing.
I'm telling you, I see whenpeople are not on your
medication, they're okay.

(31:41):
Ah if there's no medication, they're different people.
A beautiful girl, young,beautiful girl.
That girl, when she's onmedication, she's so nice, she's
so calm.
Hey, no medication.
She'll bang into the office.
Hey, trouble.
I have to call the security, please, for my own safety.
Why?

(32:01):
Why am I saying this?
We live in a world full ofpeople who depend on medication.
Ah, God.
Ah, you guys are blessed, youngpeople that you have Jesus.
I went to go see my doctor.
I'm like, doctor, I'm not ableto sleep.
He prescribed some sleepingtablets.

(32:23):
I'm like, you know what, Jesus?
I'm gonna trust you that youmake me you help me to sleep.
I have two options to take thatsleeping pill, you understand?
To take that sleeping pill sothat I can be able to sleep, and
then I become so addicted to it.
Oh, I know yes, I'm sufferingright now because I can't sleep.
That's the fact, and I'm stilltrusting God that God one day

(32:47):
you're gonna make me be able tosleep.
Because if I get hooked on thatdrug, oh God.
I had friends, I had a friendthat committed suicide because
of mental oppression.
They hear voices in their head.
Child of God, this is very, veryserious, especially young people

(33:08):
are suffering as a result ofthis.
Amen.
We're almost done, and then thefinal thing is that Jesus came
to do to proclaim the acceptableyear of the Lord.
What is the acceptable here ofthe Lord?
It's the day when Jesus is gonnacome back, when Jesus is gonna
take his people, his sons anddaughters into that beautiful

(33:28):
marriage supper.
And it's also a day of vengeancewhen you read Isaiah, so it's a
day of favor, and it's also aday of justice.
So that's exactly what Jesuscame to do, and then finally, he
began to say this today.
This scripture is fulfillingyour ear.

(33:51):
And then he said, As surely Isay to you, no prophet is
accepted in his own country.
This is sad, this is sad, especially us as Africans.
Jesus told his own people, he'sfrom Nazareth.
I'm happy that God, becauseJesus is from Nazareth, Jesus

(34:11):
was a Nazareth when he explainedto his own people that hey, I am
the person that Isaiah istalking about.
You know what they said?
We know you.
You're of Joseph.
Oh, we know you, you're fromUganda.
There's no way God can anointyou to write a book.
You are a refugee.

(34:33):
There's no way Brian God can useyou.
You are a refugee.
Young ladies, no way.
So the same attitude that thepeople had.
You see, we black people, ohGod, I'll tell you this is the
fact.
I've been in this country formore than six years now.
White people value greatness.
Black people don't valuegreatness, they only value

(34:57):
greatness when it's at the top.
I'm telling you.
Black people only valuegreatness when it's at the top.
White people, when they seegreatness, oh my god, they will
help to cultivate thatgreatness.
Why am I saying this?
Thank God my manager is notblack.
I'm telling you, my thank God mymanager is not black.

(35:20):
I'm not trying to be, I'm nottrying to be racist against my
people, but this is the mindsetof us as black people.
We don't support our own people,we don't celebrate our own
people.
We need to learn to celebrateour Musumba.
She has been anointed to healall the functions that Jesus was

(35:42):
doing, she can do.
You and I, we can also do.
We shouldn't take each other forgranted.
Just because we're from the samevillage doesn't mean you can
look down on me.
Just because we're from the sameclass doesn't mean you can you
can look down on me.
You're not God, you don't knowmy future, you don't know where
I'm going.
When I finish high school, myown boy was asking Brian, what

(36:02):
are you gonna do with your life?
You you barely attend any class, you're a dumb and worth, you
know.
What are you gonna do?
I said, I don't know what I'mgonna do.
I don't know what I'm gonna do.
I used to live in Ottawa.
So God said, one of my friendssnitched on me, and this guy
came to my house.
I wasn't home.
See, God saved my life fromdeath.

(36:23):
I'm telling you this.
I'm a living example of that.
My sister was home when theseArab gangs they came, because I
was also in gang.
This Arab guys they came to myto my place.
My sister was home, they werelooking for me.
They went into my room, scattered my clothes, scattered
everything.
And then my sister called me.
Brian, don't come back toAnville.
That's Ottawa, don't come backto Anville.

(36:44):
If you have to go to the US tomeet your uncle, go stay in the
US.
Don't come back because yourboys, man, they want to kill
you.
So I was afraid.
And then I went to the US to myuncle.
I didn't like it there.
I was in Maryland, I stayedthere for like six months.
I wanted to, I'm like, I'm like,God, you know, if I stay in the
US, I have this tendency.

(37:04):
We black people, because becausewe're all black, we need to act
alike.
And then I started havingfriends, you know, those African
Americans, the way they talk, you know.
Hey, I said, I'm an African, I'mnot against that.
God, it's just life that I'vecome.
God, please help me.
My uncle.
Then I met this this Americangirl too.
Ah, when you see things, I said,I'm an African man, I don't know

(37:27):
how to do these things, youknow.
You won't believe what God did.
God said, Come come back toToronto.
Like, how am I gonna come backto Toronto?
I don't know anybody in Toronto.
When I came back to Toronto, Imet my uncle.
And the first thing that he saidwas, Brian, there's a church
nearby.
I know you're dumb, I knowyou're stupid, I know you're

(37:48):
confused.
What is Muslim?
He said, There's a churchnearby, and I want you to go to
that church.
That's how God saved my life.
But guess what?
If I would have been familiarwith my uncle, because my uncle
was a Muslim, I said, Who isthis man to tell me about Jesus

(38:09):
Christ?
You're a Muslim.
Why am I saying this?
God can use any one of us,believe in me.
You understand?
So reach out to my sister, readher book and pain and purpose.
I read that book, it was verypowerful.
And I recommend young ladiesread that book as well, okay?

(38:30):
I can't wait for the secondbook.
Let's stand and pray and thendismiss.
Thank you so much for yourprecious time.
