They started jokingly asked it'squestion but when they asked who
are we speaking to it's spelled out DEVIL.
Everyone laughed except me. I swear to God I felt a hand
brushed the back of my neck. Later that night as I was
getting ready for bed I saw three long scratches running

(00:22):
down my shoulder in the mirror. Now I will never touch a Ouija
board again. Danielle, did y'all say goodbye?
Hi, my witches and norms. Welcome to witch star tells
podcast. I'm your hostman witch.

(00:42):
And on this episode we will be reading people's experiences
about the Ouija board. I've had my own personal
experiences so stay tuned for that.
And then for Part 2, we will be playing with the Ouija board
next week. So stay tuned for that and I'm
I'm scared. So we're going to be, you know,
reading the stories and then learn from their experiences and

(01:04):
then go play next week for the podcast.
Before we get into the podcast, viewers discretion and audio
discussion is advised. Everything we'll talk about is
pure speculation. To the best of our knowledge,
these are just the scary storiesthat were sent to us and we do
not promote any activities. We do not promote any activities
as in going to haunted places, playing with the Ouija board,

(01:26):
and doing other things. We do not promote any activity
at all. And also, this is for
entertainment purposes only. But that being said, let's get
straight into the podcast. Here's a brief history about the
Ouija board. The Ouija board, sometimes
called a spirit board or talkingboard, first appeared in the
late 1800s during America's spiritualism movement, when

(01:47):
seance and ghost communications were widely popular.
In 1891, it was patent as a parlor game by Elijah Bond and
they are popularized by Kennard Novelty Company.
The name Ouija is said to come from combining the French word
we and the German word JA, both meaning yes.
At first, the Ouija board was marketed as harmless and

(02:08):
entertainment, a way for families to gather around the
table to talk to the other side.Elijah Bond was the one who
created the Ouija board and thenhe had a sister or sister-in-law
who was a medium. She asked the Ouija board what's
its name and it spelled out we and enjoy.
And she asked it like, what doesthat mean?
It responded back with good luck.

(02:30):
Elijah Bond or his partner. I don't want to like just say
it's them. So Elijah Bono or his partner,
one of them had gotten their tombstone created with the Ouija
board actually on it. Everything we talk about would
be LinkedIn the description box below.
And also I made a Witchy Wednesday video like 2-3 years

(02:50):
ago and I will link that down aswell.
So if you guys want to check it out.
Personal opinion, I've seen movies where people play with
the Ouija board and something happened like something demonic,
something evil and people tend to get unalived or passed away.
Before I talk about people's experience, I want to talk about
my own personal experience. When I was about 7, maybe 8-9

(03:13):
years old, my brothers and his friends, they would play with
the Ouija board and I didn't know what it was at the time.
I just knew it was I was like, Oh my God, it goes in the dark.
What is that? And so my brother and his
friends were playing at this abandoned apartment where next
to the swap meet right there on Butler and chants or something.

(03:34):
And as my brothers and then was playing, I was just so
fascinated and I looked. So as the night gone by when
they left, I remember there was a swamp cooler with the broken
window and the windows open. So I jumped in, grabbed the
Ouija board and then, you know, try to put it to my side and
started running back to my house.
Mind you, you guys, I was like 7to 9 years old at the time.

(03:58):
So I went upstairs into my room, locked the door and I was
playing with the Ouija board. So I put the cover over me and I
was, you know, when you have your feet like this under the
blanket trying to play with the Ouija board.
So as I was playing with the Ouija board, I was trying to ask
the questions, whatever, and nothing happened.
It didn't move, none of that. I can hear my brother coming

(04:20):
towards my room because my mom will always have my brother
check up on me, my other brotherand my sisters to make sure
we're going, we're going to sleep.
And then I can hear like the door rattling.
So I threw it out the window. Mind you, my room was upstairs
in the second floor. I threw the Ouija board out the
window and I pretend to go back to sleep.
My brother was like, are you sleeping?

(04:41):
I'm like, yeah. So he left.
The following evening. I went back to go check up at
the apartment. My brothers and his friends
again the following night, they were playing there and I was
staring and I was, I was shocked.
I was so shocked because guess what?
The Ouija board was back where it was.
So I couldn't, I didn't understand how the Ouija board

(05:04):
went back. I know for a fact nobody saw the
Ouija board flying or floating over there because people would
have talked about it. You know, when you see
something, you're like, dude, I saw something, let me tell
somebody else. And so I told my brother, I
said, dude, how did you guys getthe Ouija board back?
And he was like, what are you talking about?
I said I took the Ouija board when you guys were, when you

(05:25):
guys were playing that night when you guys were playing
yesterday, I took the Ouija board and ran obsessed and
played in my room. And that's when he came and
checked up on me. So I threw her out the window.
He goes, no, the Ouija board's been in this abandoned apartment
the whole time. I was, how was that possible?

(05:46):
And to this day, my brother can't confirm that.
No, you're tripping. The Ouija board has never left
that spot at that time. And I said, no, I know when I'm
talking out. I just popped my knuckle.
I know what I'm talking about. I stole the Ouija board and play
with it. To this day I I don't understand

(06:07):
how that even happened. So have you guys ever played
with the Ouija board chopped on a comment?
Let me know. And also, audio listeners, if
you did play with the Ouija board, did you ever say goodbye?
Before we move on to read these people's scary stories, I'm
going to be reading what to do and what not to do during a

(06:28):
Ouija board game. It says what to do with the
Ouija board. Always play with more than one
person, never alone. Set the mood, dim lights,
candles, but stay focused. Be respectful.
Speak politely as if you're a guest.

(06:48):
Ask clear, simple questions. Spirits communicate better with
yes or no or short answers. Stay calm.
If the planchet moves, don't panic.
Say goodbye properly. Move the planchet to goodbye
before ending. Keep your fingers lightly on the
planchet. Don't push.

(07:09):
Here's what not to do. Never ask about death.
Don't ask when will I die or similar questions.
Don't taunt or provoke mocking spirits.
It's a fast way to get creepy responses.
Don't use it in a graveyard, hospitals, or places of tragedy

(07:30):
unless you're ready for intense energy.
Don't leave the session unfinished.
Always close with goodbye. Don't believe everything.
Not every answer is true. Some may be misleading.
Don't let the punchet move off the board.
Many say it could release something.
Don't treat it like a toy. Even skeptics agree it can leave

(07:52):
people shaken. We will be reading people's
personal scary stories about theOuija board experiences.
This one's called The Woman in the Hallway.
It was sent to us by Jessica, 27years old from Fresno, CA Me and
two of my friends were at a sleepover when we decided to
just try the Ouija board for fun.

(08:15):
We lit candles, set the board onthe floor and asked is your new
one here with us? The planchette moved to yes.
When we asked for our name. It's spelled out Martha.
So I asked where are you right now?
The board spelled out hallway, so we all turned towards the

(08:37):
hallway. It was empty at first.
Then I swear I saw a pale woman in an old dress standing there
just outside the candlelight. She wasn't moving where her face
looked blurred like a smudge in a photograph.
And then we all screamed and thewoman, or whatever it was,

(08:57):
vanish. The planchet slid to goodbye on
its own. And ever since then, I haven't
kept a Ouija board in my house. So Jessica, do you know anybody
that name was Martha? And I wonder if you knew that

(09:17):
person or did you know the history of the house before you
guys moved in? Like, did you know anybody named
Martha that passed away there? You know, I want to know.
And thank you for sending that story.
Moving on to a second story. It's called the Scratches.
It was sent to us by Danielle, 19, from Clovis, CA.

(09:38):
I was at a small gathering in myfriend's garage when someone
found an old Ouija board in a box.
They started jokingly asking it questions but when they asked
who are we speaking to, it's spelled out DEVIL.
Everyone laughed except me. I swear to God I felt a hand

(09:59):
brushed the back of my neck. Later that night as I was
getting ready for bed, I saw three long scratches running
down my shoulder in the mirror. At the time I lived alone, so I
tried to tell myself I scratchedmyself without realizing, but
the next morning the scratches were still fresh.

(10:21):
Now I will never touch a Ouija board again.
Danielle, did y'all say goodbye? And the fact that it's spelled
out DEVIL, that's scary. Quick question for everybody,

(10:49):
why would the devil be channelling through the Ouija
board? If he's the devil, can he just
like come on earth and you know,'cause mischief instead of do
not? No, because this is God's
playground, right? Didn't in the Bible said the
devil once he come on to earth, he has no power here.

(11:10):
Well, thank you for sending thatstory, Danielle.
A couple of summers ago, my friends and I brought a Ouija
board to Militant Lake at night. We set up near the shore where
it was quiet and started asking questions.
At first the planchet was movingslow, spelling out random
letters. Then it spelled out the word
water. WATER, We asked, did you drown

(11:34):
here? The planchet slid too fast too.
Yes. After that, it spelled a name
MIGUEM Miguel. None of us knew who that was, so
we kept pushing for answers. The board then spelled out HELP,
help. Right then the water just a few

(11:56):
feet from us rippled hard, like someone had splash, even though
there was no wind and nobody swimming.
A second later, one of my friends yelped.
He swore he felt a hand grabbed his ankle from under the water.
We dropped the board and bolted back into the car.
The next day I tried looking forof accidents at Militant.

(12:17):
I couldn't find anything about it Miguel but there were
multiple stories of people drowning.
I would never go near that lake again at night.
Remember from the beginning I said me and Miguel went to
Militant lake to play with the Ouija board and the fact that
the story same story said the same thing.

(12:38):
Me and Miguel looked at each other as we were reading it.
I went and I said dude, and I started shaking because that's
when US playing at the Ouija board at militant Lake.
Something picked thing. Oh my God, sorry, you guys, I'm
getting I'm shaking. I'm I'm shaking because it's
it's it's shocking to me. Long story short, the fact that
someone said the story and describe everything that we were
doing at militant Lake freaked us out.

(13:02):
Did you catch on? I hope you did because that's
how scary we were. Before we end the podcast, I do
want to say before playing with the Ouija board, make sure you
do your own research. Make sure you know what to do,
what not to do, your protective rituals, and you know, cleanse

(13:23):
yourself before and after. Make sure you people pray.
If you don't believe in that, goahead and use your own prayers.
Others do rituals like casting acircle.
Some people have salt, some people have incense burning just
to create a good atmosphere. And I always say this, and one
thing that I've learned doing all this research, never do

(13:49):
anything as in drinking for 20s.You know, other circums what is
it called substance because you want to be in the right state of
mind so nothing can influence you, if that makes sense.
Stay tuned for Part 2. Me and Miguel's actually going
to be doing playing the Ouija board and we'll see what

(14:12):
happened. But with that being said, Buzz
to be everyone and thank you forlistening and watching and I'll
see you guys next Sunday on the Witcher tells podcast Buzz to be
everyone. Bye.
