If you feel like healing generational trauma is both a privilege and a burden, you’re not alone. This episode is all about healing trauma as a woman of color, and we're talking it out with special guest Harpinder Mann.

We’re sharing our experiences as first-generation immigrants and talking about why ending generational trauma is important to us. Harpinder is also sharing her experience as a yoga asana and meditation teacher and diving deep into how yoga creates liberation from suffering to get back to pure consciousness.

You’ll be fascinated as you listen to her talk about how yoga can be used to heal and how that healing is what helps you end generational trauma.

Harpinder Mann (she/her) is a Sikh-Buddhist Punjabi-American yoga asana and meditation teacher currently living on Tongva Land. Her childhood consisted of trauma from domestic violence, sexual abuse, and bullying which set her on a journey of healing through yoga, meditation, activism, and brave community. Now she aims to move through the world with compassion and joy.

If you’re interested in healing your trauma, don’t miss this conversation with Harpinder Mann.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
