Our diet here in the US is high in processed foods, sugars, and unhealthy fats,  this can be a reason our stomach is always hurting.

This diet can cause a range of digestive issues, from minor discomforts to severe conditions.

On this episode of Wonder Why we bring on Danielle Gaffen. Danielle is a Registered Dietitian and founder of Eat Well Crohn’s Colitis, a virtual tele-nutrition practice in the United States.

Danielle's mom needed two feet of her intestines removed and her husband has Crohn’s disease. Understanding the link between nutrition and gut disease prompted Danielle to obtain her master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, become a dietitian, and ultimately specialize in nutrition for people with GI conditions.
