Michelle Remington (00:00):
I posted a

the patterns in your behaviorthat keep you there. Yeah.

(00:24):
grab your coffee, grab your tea,and join me today for our
episode, we're gonna get rightinto it.
Worth It! Intro (00:33):
Welcome to
worth it, the podcast where we
answer anxiety, deflate fear andshut down shame, because ain't
no woman got time for that youwere made to thrive. My mission
is to help you get deeply rootedwith God and reclaim your weapon
that the enemy of God has beenusing against you. After going
to battle for my own mind. Threeyears ago, I realized that there
(00:56):
is a war going on for our minds.
A battle that begins with how wethink says you have much more
control than you realize witheach episode, you'll learn how
to fight back and become moreconfident in the truth that God
already knows, you are worth it.
I'm Michelle Remington,Christian mindset coach, thought
(01:16):
strategist, and warrior Mama.
Grab your sword daughter of theking, it's time to unleash your
inner warrior princess.
Michelle Remington (01:32):
Welcome back
warrior. Now, this is kind of a
tough subject. But these aresubjects that are definitely
worth looking into, worthinvestigating for your own
health. And for the health ofthose around you. This is a
really hard one. I thinkeverything we deal with is hard,
(01:54):
right? You have to choose yourhard and make it worth it. So
for a long time, my hard wasgoing through postpartum
depression, and everything thatwent along with that and almost
ruined my family and almostruined my life.
But then I switch gears when Godstepped in, He said, I have made
(02:15):
you for so much more. And uptill then I had avoided all of
the hard stuff, or I had beenavoiding all of the hard stuff.
And then I realized that I hadto choose, am I gonna choose
falling down this mountain indepression, and it ruining my
(02:42):
life in my family? Or am I gonnachoose the hard, strenuous task
of climbing up this mountain.
So in one, I was rolling down amountain getting beaten and
bruised along the way. And inthe other. My hands, my body, my
(03:06):
mind, my emotions, were gettingworn in a good way. Because I
was working my way up. That'sthe choice that I had to make.
And when you're ready forlasting transformation, that's
the choice you have to make.
You're in that moment, you'reyou're thirsting, you're craving
(03:31):
change. But it's not like thekind of like bored change that
you're looking for when you wantto change your hair or your
wardrobe or, or something elseabout you.
This goes deeper, deeper thanthat. This is that
(03:54):
transformation that you arecraving. When you realize that
everything that you've beendoing and trying to handle on
your own is not cutting itanymore. And you are getting
more bruised and battered tryingto do it yourself. Then give it
to the one who can bring you outof that pit and raise you to the
(04:18):
top of the mountain.
So at this point, you'reprobably listening to this
podcast because you're done.
You're done feeling stuck.
You're done. Feeling stagnant.
You're done and ready. Becauseyou're feeling like I need this
change. I need something God Ineed something. I need to make a
move. I need you to make a moveGod.
(04:43):
I remember when I presentedmyself before God, I had been
rolling down that hill justfalling. I had beaten myself up
so much that I had loststrength. mentally, emotionally
and physically. And then I wasgetting even more worn and beat
(05:07):
up. Because I couldn't stand bymyself any more. And in that
moment, when I presented myselfbefore God, I had seen hope. And
don't get me wrong, there'smoments in my life where God has
worked, miraculously. And I haveseen the hope of God so many
(05:29):
times. But I never get tired ofseeing God, show up. I never get
tired of seeing the hope of God.
So I determined in that moment,if God is showing up, I am not
(05:50):
gonna stay in this self madehell that I had created for
myself that I was that I wasliterally just dealing with. God
had pierced through thedarkness, to show me that he, my
hope, was within sight. Andattainable, attainable, not just
(06:12):
something that you see from faraway and think, Oh, that's nice.
I wish I could get theresomeday. No, He pierced through
that darkness. And he was alight to my feet, and a lamp to
my path.
And little did I know, how indepth, God would get into my
(06:35):
mind. And my thoughts, when Itell you that submitting
yourself fully to God, is whatyou need to do to get that
lasting transformation. Knowthat God, your Creator, the one
that knows you better than youknow yourself, he's gonna get
(06:56):
deep, he's gonna get to thecore. And it is all going to be
worth it. It may be scary. Thethought of not knowing what's
going to happen may be difficultmay be a challenge for you to
get past at first. But you cantrust God. That's how I got
through it.
(07:17):
Just reminding myself you knowwhat, I mean, I got to this
point, because I was trying tomake it on my own. And I was
worn, worn and battered andbruised. And now God is lifting
me out. God has showed up and Ineed to trust him. I had no idea
(07:37):
how much I had been hurtingmyself with my thoughts. And my
words, when God opened my eyesto the patterns that I kept
reliving, over and over again, Iwas shocked. I was like, Mind
blown, basically, Mind blownmoment. But at the same time, I
(08:00):
knew God was working in mebecause the old me would feel
condemned, and would use that asammo to beat myself up even
more.
But in that moment, because Iknow that God showed up and God
was moving in me, because I madethat move toward God. And I
(08:24):
reached out, I asked God forhelp. I felt empowered, and
grateful that God was helping mein such a profound way. And I
knew at that moment, I mean, this was just the beginning. And
God was already moving in aprofound way. Like, I'm getting
(08:46):
ready to see some biblicalthings happen here in my own
life, because I am making thechoice as a child of God to
fully submit myself to theAlmighty God, who I do not even
know the depths, and the heightsof who he is. But he's getting
ready to move in me and he'sgetting ready to show me how can
(09:08):
I say no to that? How could yousay no, to that?
Everything is possible with God.
God's love for you, is bring youto your knees. Awesome. His love
is bring you to your face.
(09:31):
Amazing. We can't fathom. It'sso big. We cannot even envision
it. But yet, it's there. And heis real. So when you want true,
lasting transformation, you cantrust that God will open up his
(09:52):
store houses to give you all hehas prepared for you. When you
open yourself Up to God, youwalk through that torn veil, and
say, Here am I God, I surrenderfolly to you. I surrender fully
(10:12):
to you, God, my dear, here timeis now, if you're hearing this,
there's a reason.
When I started this podcast, Iasked God to use me. And whoever
hears this at whatever time, itis meant for that person to hear
(10:34):
it is meant for you to hearright here, right now. Because
God is calling and your time isnow. So, as I encourage you,
every podcast, pretty much. Iwant to encourage you to make
time with God today. Even if yougot to put me on pause, do it
(10:58):
right now. Your relationshipwith God, and the work that God
is doing in you is moreimportant. So make the time to
go to God, step through thattorn fail. There needs to be
nothing between you and Jesus.
(11:18):
Let's finish out in prayer. LordJesus, I praise you glorify you,
God, you are so mighty and soamazing and pig, greater than we
can ever fathom God and the workthat you are doing in us Lord,
is much greater than we can everimagine and more far reaching in
(11:39):
the world than we can everimagine. And I thank you, Lord,
for loving us so much that youwould move so mightily in us. I
pray, Lord, that every personhearing this would feel the
gravity would feel the gravityof this opportunity, the gravity
(12:00):
of the possibilities for them, the gravity of you, moving in
them, the most important thingin the world, Lord, in this life
is our relationship with you.
When we focus on ourrelationship with you, God, that
is when transformation occurs.
(12:23):
That is when we see our mostjoyous moments. That is when we
experienced that, in explicablepeace in challenging moments.
That is when we know that we arenot alone.
At difficult times, that is whenwe can make the most impact in
(12:44):
the world, the share or witnessof the things that you have done
in us and that we have seen youdo God and what your Word says,
our purpose in this life is somuch more profound, then someone
make it seem, it would make itseem so mundane and boring and
(13:06):
purposeless. But that is so farfrom the truth, our purpose, our
potential, is so great that wecannot even fathom it, Lord, in
that lasting transformation thatwe crave is as tangible as a
Bible, in our hands.
My heart is filled with so muchgratitude God, to be able to
(13:31):
witness this to be a vessel foryou God, I pray God that for
every person that hears thispodcast, that you would help
them to see the full potentialof what you're able to do. And
to see the importance and thegreat need for them to have the
(13:53):
closest relationship with thepossible draws near God anointed
ears to hear our hearts toreceive your word, Jesus. Help
us to strip away everything.
That is not a view everythingthat is extra, and build us up
God, build us up, transform us.
(14:13):
We praise you God and we glorifyYour name Jesus. In your
precious and holy name Jesus wepray, Amen. And Amen.
