We are finishing our walkthrough of Genesis this week in Genesis 50. This week, Pastor Jeff is taking us through Genesis 49. "All these are the twelve tribes of Israel. This is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each with the blessing suitable to him. Then he commanded them and said to them, “I am to be gathered to my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite," (Gen. 49:28-29)
Pastor Jeff is taking us through Genesis 48 today. "Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers. Moreover, I have given to you rather than to your brothers one mountain slope that I took from the hand of the Amorites with my sword and with my bow." (Gen. 48:21-22)
This week, Pastor Ken is taking us through Genesis 46 and the importance of the Lord's Supper. " Then he said, “I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation. I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again, and Joseph's hand shall close your eyes.” (Genesis 46:3-4)
This week, Ryan Mallen is taking us through Genesis 44-45. "So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life." (Gen. 45:4-5)
Pastor Jeff is taking us through Genesis 42-43 today. "Send one of you, and let him bring your brother, while you remain confined, that your words may be tested, whether there is truth in you. Or else, by the life of Pharaoh, surely you are spies.” And he put them all together in custody for three days." (Gen. 42:16-17)
Pastor Jeff is taking us through Genesis 40-41 today, "Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh. “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my hardship and all my father's house. The name of the second he called Ephraim, “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction." (41:51-52)
Pastor Jeff is taking us through Genesis 39 today, "The keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph's charge, because the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made it succeed" (Genesis 39:23)
Coming back from Holy Week, we are jumping back into our Genesis walkthrough. Today, we are covering Genesis 38. "Then Judah identified them and said, “She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not know her again." (Gen. 38:26)
Happy Easter! Pastor Jeff is covering the Good News, that Jesus Christ was resurrected from the grave, and has paid for our sins! We hope you have had an amazing Easter, but the celebration isn't over - we should celebrate this fact every day!
