and as usual, I want to thank God for blessing
me to do another bonus episode and shout outs to

(00:51):
everyone that's listening today. And I hope everyone tuned in
to Survive a series Award Games, and if you haven't already,
I was strongly command that you watch it on the
Peacock app before listening to this episode because I'm going
to be discussing my thoughts about it, so let's get
into it. Overall, I'm going to rate Wargames to eight

(01:13):
out of ten, which means it was a great event
and the matches were well executed. My favorite match, of course,
was the women's elimination Chamber match, and I must say
that the women definitely put on an amazing show. Once again,
and I must say, I'm very proud of the women's
division right now and where is that because they prove

(01:34):
over and over again that they are capable of going
toe to toe like the fellas. I'm also and I'm
gonna also give the WWE a round of applause. Yes,
they finally got the women's United States title and the
Women's IC title, and it was definitely well deserved to
introduce those titles and made the best woman win because

(01:57):
whoever wins the titles would definitely go into the Hall
of Fame because it's definitely a Hall of Fame moment
becoming an inaugural champion. So again, shout out to Tripleation
of WWE for introducing those titles for the women. But anyway,
the match was very action packed and brutal, and I

(02:17):
liked that the women were not afraid to use weapons
that were stored under the ring to use their advantage.
And I thought it was real funny that they had
a toilet seat which was under the ring. The Naya
Jacks had to endure all of the punishment from the seat,
so that was cool to see. And then one of
the highlights of the match was where Eo Sky climbed

(02:38):
up the cage with a garbage can strapped to her
back and then eventually towards the end of the match,
she put the can over her over her body and
did it and did a backflip off the cage while
Tiffany Stratton did a Swan signed bomb off the other
side of the cage. So that was definitely a high
light of the match where that was definitely one of

(02:59):
the highlights of the match. And another highlight was when
Lyft bought a baseball bat in the ring because we
thought at first she was gonna come to the ring,
so she goes back there, grabs the bat and then
she ambushes Rea and that was unexpected but the real
but that was another highlight of the match, and then
another one, and then the main highlight of the match

(03:21):
was when Ria did her finish her on lift off
of the tombuckle crashing her through a table, winning the match.
That was definitely a great way to end the match.
But that's also letting us know that Ria will one
day regain the title if Tiffany does the cash in
on her on either Lyft or Real if she was
to regain the title. So overall, you know. That was

(03:44):
a fantastic match the ladies put on, and I must
say they you know, I'm just really happy and excited
for the women's vision right now, and keep up the
good work. And the next match between La Night and
Shensky and Knocking Moral was my least favorite match. It's
because Shin's Kate did in fact be La for the title,

(04:05):
and I thought for sure La would have stayed champion
for a while since he had won a title at SummerSlam,
which was about four months ago. But I guess it
was Shenskate's time to regain the title. But I must
say I like this new strange gothic look that he's
been sporting, and I like that he changed his theme
song to go along with this new look in persona.

(04:28):
But I liked the version. But I liked the version
of his song that had aired on SmackDown the day
before War Games compared to the one that he has now,
because the one that aired on SmackDown had to beat
to it, and then the song I heard at War
Games it didn't really have that beat. So I liked
the version better that I heard on SmackDown. But I

(04:49):
hope they keep this rivalry going for a little while
longer because you could tell throughout the match La was
very uncomfortable wrestling him, and that would have just added
more suspense to the rivalry if it continues. So the
match between bron Breaker, Seamus and Ludwick Kayser was a

(05:09):
very great match in my opinion. It's because all three
of them put on the show and Seamus was also
close to winning the title, but I already knew bron
was going to retain because if you all sit back
and really pay attention to the way the WWEE is now,
all they're doing is creating opportunities for the new talent.
And it's because the new talent is taken over. Why

(05:32):
you think Seamus has worked with with Braun and Kayser,
and it's because behind the scenes he could possibly be
mentoring now and preparing those guys to do their own thing.
And that explains why Sena took the loss to Austin
theory at Mania, because again, new talent is taken over
and these legends slash Hall of Famous like John Cena,

(05:54):
Randy Orton, Seamus, The MIAs Our Truth, Raymons, Stereo, Kobe
Kingston and the Talia almost out the door. So that's
why we've been seeing a lot of the new talent
work with some of the old talents so they could
prepare them for the future. And that's why Bron did
not drop the title to Seamus or Kaiser. But I
must say Bron is definitely a badass in that ring,

(06:17):
which definitely made that match worth watching because he has
the genetics, the speed and agility agility to really succeed
in the w w E and that explains why he's
the i C champion and I would really love to
see him beef with Big Bronson Reed, Solo Sokola, Roman Reigns,
and Seth Rollins because I know those four would give

(06:40):
him a run for his money, especially Bronson Reid because
both of them are powerhouses and they both are heels.
Who would want to see two heels tear up the
ring for the title, you know. But overall, that was
a very great match between those three, and I must
say that Seamus did give it his all in that
ring to try to capture his first IC title. The

(07:03):
Kayser did very well too, but Bron is just too
unstoppable right now. And the next match between Gonther and
Damien Priest was a very difficult match to watch because
it appeared that Damien entered his shoulders and that match
caused him to take more punishment than usual. But I
think if it wasn't for his injuries and Finn Ballads interfering,

(07:27):
then Priests more than likely would have won a title
back from Gonther because I know that Priests is very
capable of beating Gonther, because if Sammy Zain can do it,
then he definitely can. So that's what made the match
hard to watch because I know what Priests would have
been capable of doing, just like he did at Somerslam,
brought his a game and to Fenn interfere and caused

(07:49):
him the title. So I hope he gets another rematch soon.
But I but having but having to wear interference is
being from ringside. But now that I sit back and think,
I believe that he will be having a rematch, it's
gonna be him, Bean Butler and Gone Th gonna be
wrestling this Saturday at Saturday Nice Man Event for him

(08:13):
to get another shot at the title. So that's gonna
be good news. And the main event that featured the
Old blood Line and the New blood Line was a
good match that was action pack like the Women's War
Games match. You know, even though Roman and Punk really
didn't see EU the eye in the beginning, but the
least Punk earned Romans Romans respect at the end where

(08:34):
they shook hands at the at the end would show
great sportsmanship. But I'm still curious as to why Paul
Hayman shows Punk the team up of Roman and his
crew because I thought at first it was going to
be an actual blood relative that would have joined his
team by by also making a w w E debut.
So that's what I originally thought, but it's but I

(08:58):
see that was not the case. But I'm still clueless
to this day about that decision, so hopefully pretty soon
we find out the true reason behind it. But I
must say that Jacob Fatu did his thing in the match,
using his athleticism and ability to get right back up
after taking the beating, so he definitely one hundred percent

(09:19):
did a very great job wrestling that his first Survivor series,
And it was also good to see the USAUS working
together as a team since we haven't seen it in
a long time. With Jay moving over the raw riding
solo and becoming an IC champ, so it was definitely
good to see that, and towards the end of the match,

(09:39):
Solo was making it difficult for Roman to enter the ring,
but that was going to stop Roman from answering the match,
so he had to of course climb up the case
to get in. And I do like what happened at
towards the end of that match where Punk has stepped
in to protect Roman from getting cracked put through that
table by Bronze and Read, and that's what made Roman

(10:02):
gains to respect for him. And I was happy that
Roman and his team got the win because it was
well deserved. And I loved how to match ended ended
by everyone giving Solo their finisher move and it just
goes to show you who the OTC really is and
that they are the original blood line. But I already
know that that this rivalry is far from over and

(10:25):
it's more to it. We just have to tune in.
But I do say that the Rocket we'll be making
his making another return pretty soon, and I think what's
gonna happen is he's going to join the old blood
line to work with the OTC to eventually join Firth
forces of Roman reigns again until they finally had today

(10:47):
finally develop issues with one another to set up a
match for WrestleMania. Because I still say from the previous
episodes I talked about, I still say that Roman in
the Rock is going to fight each other, and I
feel like it might happen next year. So that's why
I'm thinking they might have it to what the Rock
comes back before a year was over with to just

(11:09):
work with the old blood line for a little bit,
and so it's time for Roman and the Rocks to
rustle each other at Mania. You know, you never know.
But overall, War Games was a great match, and well
it was a great event, and I'm glad the wargame
matches will bought back after so many years because it's
very entertaining and they're fun to watch, which asks that

(11:33):
excitement to survive the series again. So that's gonna do
it for this bonus episode of Wrestling Discussions. I hope
you all enjoyed War Games and Saturday Nights and main
event which was yesterday. And if anyone is interested, I
do have merch on my website and I will leave
that info in the description box along with my link

(11:55):
tree info, and I will be releasing a new episode soon,
so again, thank you all so much, Stay safe, God
bless you all a happy holiday.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
