作為酷兒群體的一員，你有沒有思考過男子氣概這件事呢？在每個華人男性的成長過程中，一定或多或少被家人，學校，或者同儕進行過關於男子氣概的規訓，比如男生就一定需要具備特定樣貌，特定的性別氣質，或是男生一定不可以做某些事情（不然就不夠man啦）。這些社會規訓會伴隨成長，內化到成年男性的日常生活，其中一部分會導向惡性的霸權式的男性性別表達，例如厭女，自大，不考慮他人，甚至對他人暴力相向。
而有毒男子氣概的受害者卻不僅是那些被霸凌的“弱者“，還包括那些自詡“強者”的男性。他們無法接受和表達自己的脆弱面，也無法面對自己的情感需求，甚至在性和親密關係的探索上也遵循一套思維邏輯，止步不前。
那些傳統教育裡對於男性氣概，或者說“什麼是man”的要求，其實可以去教育所有的人，而非專門針對男性，像是我們從小就被教育的堅強，勇敢，負責任等等。傳統男女的社會分工漸漸不復存在，在這種情況下，對傳統男性氣質的要求顯得無力又荒謬。世界已經不再一樣，不管是異性戀還是酷兒群體，對於不同性別氣質和表達都有了更多的思考和認知。雖然在我們男同志的群體中依然有“拒母”“不找C””這樣的事情，但人們變得更加尊重並懂得欣賞他人，對於不尊重的行為也勇於站出來說不。
