The goal of our guest this week is to make the dulcimer, one of a handful of popular instruments to originate from America, into a sound as familiar and important as the guitar, bass, drum or cow bell! On his debut album "Making Waves", Sam demonstrates how dulcimer interpretations of rock standards like "Wild Horses", "Sweet Caroline" and "Please Please Me" can experience a renaissance from the treatment. Sam will be visiting the American Dulcimer Museum in Cincinnati in October, and we would have loved to have him in our studio for some live music if scheduling had worked out.
