Somehow, some way, we made it to February. Whew. Welcome.
In this mini episode Kala gushes over the weekend-long Yoga & Trauma C.E. Course that Yoga to Cope and RecUniversal co-led in San Diego with 10 lovely yoga teachers. It was our very first live pilot program and to be honest, I can't believe it happened and can't believe it's already over! It was an honor and a joy, and it won't be the last so stay tuned for future offerings!
As well, Kala dives into Black History Month by discussing the tumultuous time we continue to live in, under layers of COVID-19 fear, political messiness, and social justice conversations and activity hundreds of years in the making. This month we will be reading "Skill in Action" by Michelle Cassandra Johnson, and Kala shares some excerpts from the book that we hope will entice you to join in and read along this month for a tiny yet powerful book. It's so timely, and as Johnson writes, in order to effect change we must "be willing to make a mess".
