Christine DeHerrera (00:00):
Something
is happening.
A revolution is underway andyou're part of it.
Welcome to You Are the Magic.
I'm your host, Christine DiHerrera, and season two is going
to rip the roof off of yourcreativity.
It's time to catch the culturaland energetic wave that's
(00:22):
beneath the surface and name itin a way that only you can.
This is the rally cry for thecreators, the innovators, and
the visionaries who feel thatsomething big is trying to be
born through them, even as theworld shakes.
If it feels like everything isup for assessment and
realignment, you're not alone innoticing this major shift.
(00:43):
While old systems are cracking, this is the season of creation.
Creation with reverence andcourage and building huge
momentum that will carry youinto 2026 and beyond.
So ask yourself, are youfeeling the call?
Have you spent the yearshedding old identities in
preparation for something brandnew?
Maybe you're already knee deepin your creation, like many of
(01:06):
my clients.
Either way, it's time forwhatever you're making.
And if you need some helpstripping away what's no longer
necessary, download my freeguide, the Business Detox
Playbook.
The link is in the show notes.
Today I'm giving you a two-stepprocess you can use every day
to focus your energies on whatyou're building.
(01:27):
Let's dive in.
Everything begins with desire.
Wanting something is potent, even if you can't quite name it,
even if you're just following afeeling or following a hunch.
So rest easy.
You might not know exactly whatyou're creating, and that's
okay.
Most powerful creators oftendon't, not at first.
(01:49):
They follow their intuition, they explore and expand their
reference points, they buildthings.
So if you're not entirely clearon the finished form of this
new thing you're creating, don'tworry.
Instead, be in relationshipwith it.
Let yourself feel the tug.
Trust that if your idea isforming in the dark, even if you
(02:09):
can't name it yet, whatever youare building, it's exactly what
you and your people need.
You don't need a five-yearplan, you don't need perfect
clarity, but you do need to payattention.
Follow the energy, stay closeto the desire, trust the spark,
even if it doesn't make logicalsense yet.
Creativity doesn't requirecertainty.
(02:31):
It requires intimacy with theunknown.
Here are three ways you canreflect to help you draw forth
your desire.
Number one, look at what's beenshowing up again and again.
Is it that book idea you can'tshake?
The kind of client you loveworking with, who's maybe
different than the client you'veloved working with in the past?
(02:52):
Maybe it's the message you keepwhispering in Voxer to your own
clients.
These are breadcrumbs for whatyou're creating next.
Number two, ask yourself, whatmakes you feel alive now?
What conversations are youhaving that light you up?
What topics do you findyourself ranting or crying or
(03:13):
not being able to stop talkingabout?
That's your creative ignition.
You can even borrow the visionfrom your future self.
Imagine it's December 2026 andyou're wildly proud of what
you've built.
What is it?
Name the impulse of what wantsto come through and trust it.
Creation doesn't start with abusiness plan, it starts with
(03:35):
listening.
Which leads us to part two, identifying the one next step.
Creation doesn't require amaster plan, it requires
movement.
You don't have to have it allfigured out, but you do need to
move.
One step is all it takes tochange your frequency, move the
energy, and build momentum andcertainty.
While creation is oftenromanced as a lightning strike,
(03:59):
it doesn't usually work likethat.
It's a breadcrumb trail.
If you wait until you'recertain, you'll wait forever.
The idea becomes real when youbegin interacting with it.
You don't birth something newby thinking harder.
You do that by taking one truestep.
What does the one next steplook like?
Sometimes it's not bold orflashy.
It's often quiet and intimate.
(04:21):
Here are a handful of ideas fornext steps just to get your
juices flowing.
Number one, spend 30 minutesgathering inspiration, books,
music, photos, articles, moodboards.
You get the idea.
Number two, journal a dialoguewith the idea.
Ask it what it wants from you.
Number three, DM one of yourfavorite clients and say,
(04:42):
something new is coming.
Want a sneak peek?
Number four, write the salespage as if you already know,
even if you're not ready tolaunch.
Number five, share abehind-the-scenes story with
your audience.
Let them in on the secret.
Number six, name the projectaloud to one trusted person.
Number seven, create a sacredcontainer for this new gym.
(05:04):
It could be a drawer, a folder,or a notebook, or maybe it's a
new fresh document.
Number eight, take a walk andlet your body tell you what's
next.
Don't underestimate what oneact of creative devotion can
unlock.
This isn't about productivity.
It's about relationship.
You are showing the idea.
I'm here.
I'm listening.
(05:24):
I'm willing to move with you.
That's enough for today.
Trust what comes up.
Your idea already knows theway.
So use these two questions:
what do I want? (05:32):
undefined
And what's one next step dailyto stay in motion, to stay
connected to your creativemagic.
How exciting is this?
Something's brewing.
I feel it in you and me and inmy clients.
Last summer a client of minehad an idea begin to germinate:
(05:53):
a new group program for a brandnew audience.
One that it turned out peoplewere so hungry for.
This wasn't strategic, it wasintuitive.
And she ran with it and her newpeople ate it up.
Now something even bigger iscoming, a physical product.
And she's ready and she trustsherself because she's already
built the muscle of followingthrough.
(06:15):
Another client has spent herentire lifetime gathering
insight, tools, stories, ideasfrom every corner of her life.
And this year, for the firsttime, she saw the through line.
She named her true work andshe's begun to weave it all
together.
This is what I mean when I saysomething is happening.
The people who are listening, really listening, are being
(06:38):
handed their next era, theirnext body of work.
And maybe you're one of them.
In fact, I'm sure you're one ofthem.
This revolution isn't showingup on your newsfeed, but I see
it every day in my work.
Women who are listening deeplyand building the future from the
inside out.
I'm in it too.
I'm imagining what's next.
There's a group program comingin the new year.
(07:00):
And all of my work onstorytelling, that's coalescing
in a brand new way as well.
So many things are happening.
Things are taking new shapes, new rhythms, a new level of
presence is required.
I'm paying attention.
I'm asking those same twoquestions every day.
What do I want?
And what's one step I can take?
So if you've felt somethingstirring, this is your
(07:22):
confirmation.
You're not alone and you'reright on time.
Whatever you're building, birthing, dreaming, or circling,
it matters.
Not just because it's yours, but because the world needs what
only you can bring through.
So stay close to it, askyourself what you want, take one
small step toward it, and trustthat that's enough for today.
(07:43):
If this episode stirredsomething for you, I'd love to
