Ben Rathbun is the President of Rathbun Insurance in Lansing, Michigan. Growing up in the industry, he had his first day at the agency at age seven in 1999, working there through high school and interning at an insurance carrier during college. He joined his father's firm full-time in 2014, became a partner in 2019, and became CEO in 2021 following his father's death. Ben loves solving people's problems, working directly with the community, and creating opportunities for generational wealth. He also owns Genuine Immersion, a company focused on comprehensive internship onboarding programs to enhance diversity in businesses. A third-generation agency owner, Ben's family has deep roots in the business, founded by his grandfather's brothers in 1956. He holds several professional designations, including CPCU, CAWC, and TQA, and has received numerous accolades, such as the Young Agent of the Year award in 2020. Passionate about community involvement, he co-founded the For Good Foundation with his wife to honor his late father and support their local community. Ben is now a leader in business and community all while honoring his industry roots all because…he got a license!
