And today, we're going to be talking about 3symptoms of kidney disease, 3 early symptoms of
(00:44):
kidney disease.
Okay.
So I'll stop by telling you the story about, alady who came to the hospital.
She was in her fifties, and she was told thatshe had advanced kidney disease and may need to
be started on dialysis.
Now she had high blood pressure, diabetes, andexcessive weight gain, also known as obesity.
(01:10):
She knew she had those problems, but did notknow that she had any problem with her kidneys.
And so was when she was told that she may needto be on dialysis.
And so on further inquiry, we found out thatshe had had kidney problems for years prior,
and she had diabetes and high blood pressurethat were uncontrolled.
(01:33):
So Let's delve in.
What are the 3 most common symptoms of chronickidney disease?
Or here's the first one, and this is a veryimportant 1.
Are you ready?
Well, sometimes when you have chronic kidneydisease, you may have no symptoms.
(01:56):
You may have no symptoms at all, and this cango on for years.
Before it is detected as is in the case of thatlead data we spoke about earlier.
So it's important to be aware that you can haveno symptoms whatsoever, you know, and then
(02:16):
you'll still have chronic kidney disease.
Okay?
So that's the first thing to remember.
And the the it's helpful to know this becausewhen you go and see your doctor in the office,
you can ask, oh, how's my kidney doing?
You can just, you know, prompt, oh, any do Ihave any problems with my kidneys or, you know,
(02:36):
did you check my kidneys And that can be aprompt to remind your doctor to check as well.
Especially if you have the other conditionsthat, like, hyper pressure on diabetes, and,
which can be affecting your kidneys.
We'll talk about this in in the future aboutall the other risk factors you need to
consider.
(02:56):
But today, we're really focusing on thesymptoms.
Okay?
So the first symptom is that you may have nosymptom.
Okay.
That's very important to note.
The second common symptom I want to talk abouttoday is changes in your urine in your urine in
general.
(03:17):
And so this may be in the urine volume, youknow, like, if you normally were was able to
pee 2 or 3 cops at each sitting, and then nowall of a Obadan, you're not able to pierol or
it it, has a different color to it.
(03:37):
So if there's blood in your urine or if younotice that now all of a Obadan, your unit is a
lot more foamy than normal.
It's what we call frothy urine.
Well, those are all signs that you may haveproblems with your kidneys.
(03:58):
Okay?
And, the 3rd most common symptom I want us totalk about is swelling in your face or in your
body.
So, you know, some people, they wake up andthey notice that they have a lot more swelling
around their eye bags or they notice that theirface feels a little bit more puffy, or their
(04:22):
fingers are so swollen that their rings can fitin.
Or their legs when they wear their socks, theynotice a a tight rim around their their socks.
Edge.
So those are signs.
That you may be retaining fluid and it may be asign of kidney disease.
I'm gonna add a bonus.
Okay?
A one bonus symptom is fatigue.
(04:45):
All of a sudden, you start to feel tired.
You start to have loss of libido.
And all of a sudden, you start just feelingtired, you know, brain fog and lack feeling
like you have lack of energy.
That could be a symptom of kidney disease Andit's generally, or occurring in people who have
(05:09):
advanced kidney disease.
Okay?
So those are the 3 most common and my extrabonus, symptom that I added for you.
If you found this So I'll go over them again.
So remember that you may have no symptoms ofkidney disease.
You may have changes in your urine It could beblood in it.
It could look red.
(05:30):
It could be a smaller volume.
The quantity may be lower.
Or it may just be the consistency.
It may start to look a lot more foamy anddifficult to flush.
And the 3rd symptom that you can have is whenyou have swelling in your eyes or in your
Obadan, and then I threw in the bonus there, which is fatigue, which is also a big one.
(05:51):
It's a big symptom that you may always feeltired and and that might be a the only
indication to let you know that there may besomething going on with kidney.

Well, guess what?
So she was able to get her diabetes undercontrol.
(06:41):
With a little dedication and commitment, andshe was able to get her weight back on the
control as well.
And How kidney disease did not progressfurther?
And she did not need to have dialysis ortransplants.
Just imagine imagine a world where we couldprevent people from the suffering of kidney
(07:08):
failure dialysis.
Imagine if that was possible.
