Grandpa (00:04):
Welcome back to Your Average Witch, where we talk
about witch life, witch storiesand sometimes a little
witchcraft, and today about apuppy.
I want to let everyone knowthat, as of this week, I'm going
to move publishing to anepisode every other week instead
of every week, for a fewreasons.
Number one my business, CleverKim's Curios and Crepuscular

(00:25):
Conjuration, has gotten morebusy since Stevie Nicks wore a
piece of my jewelry in her musicvideo for The Lighthouse and
for most of her publicityappearances for that song.
I also decided to increase thenumber of subscribers for Bee
Boxes for 2025, so I've beenpreparing for that.
And Gem Show is two weeks away.

(00:50):
I'll be offering personalshopping again, so if you're
interested in having me shop foryou live at the Tucson Gem Show
, let me know.
I have very limited spots left,so contact me ASAP.
You can email me atcleverkimscurios at gmailcom for
that.
Anyway, all of this gives meless time to work on finding and
inviting guests to be on theshow.
And finally, I got a puppy.

(01:13):
If you recall, I lost my dogChuck a little over a year ago
and we have finally decided thatit's time to get another dog.
So about a week ago we broughthome a Great Dane Dutch Shepherd
cross I've named Aoife.
She's about four months old andnot house trained and is
teething, so everything's anadventure right now.
The TLDR of it all is thatthere is not going to be an

(01:37):
episode this week, but I expectto be back next week and every
other week after that.
Now I'm going to talk aboutAoife for a little bit.
So if you're here for thewitches and not the wacky, this
is where I'll see you next week, and thank you for listening.
If you stick around, we canmeander around puppy life for a
minute.
As I said, her name is Aoife, which is an Irish word that

(02:02):
means beauty or radiance, andshe's a lovely light brindle and
it's basically batshit crazy, just like most puppies are, when
they're four months old and ina new place.
And the teething wow, uh, Ifinally got some rope toys for
her today, which she loves, andno, I do not leave them with her
unattended.

(02:24):
I haven't had a puppy in morethan 20 years and training
methods have changed a lot.
I am joining a lot of R plusnon-aversive groups to learn
more about newer ways ofteaching and communicating with
dogs.
I even bought a starter set oftalking buttons for her and if I

(02:47):
bought the Fluentp et version,if you've seen the poodle old
English sheepdog cross namedBunny from the channel What
About Bunny.
You know what I'm talkingabout, the buttons that they
press and they like, talk to you.
I even signed up for a class tostart training me, to teach her
and hopefully all my otherpets, because we have four dogs

(03:09):
and six cats at this point, howto use them, and I'm pretty
excited about that.
Anyway, if you have suggestionson places to learn positive
reinforcement training, I wouldlove to hear from you.
Shoot me an email, grab me onFacebook or Instagram, whatever
you know, whatever.
Anyway, thanks for listeningand I will see you next Tuesday.
