Dr. Timothy Golden J.D., Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at Walla Walla University in College Place, WA, where he also serves as coordinator of the Pre-Law/Legal Studies Program, and where he is the founding director of the Donald Blake Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Culture, a center for research and advocacy in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Golden's areas of scholarship are African American philosophy, critical race theory, philosophical theology, and 19th and 20th century philosophy. He is the author of Frederick Douglass and the Philosophy of Religion: An Interpretation of Narrative, Art, and the Political (Lexington Books, 2022), and his essay titled "Race and the Meaning of Religious Liberty" can be read in the current issue of Liberty Magazine.
